Lucy could hear the birds chirping outside as she felt the warm sunlight seep in through the window. Her body was still aching slightly from her mission the day before and she was really hoping to get some rest today.
Suddenly she had felt an arm slide around her waist as it pulled her closer. She sighed in annoyance when she realized it must be Natsu, this wasn't the first time he had done something stupid like this.
Despite her annoyance she decided to leave him alone for the time being. Her body was sore and she just wanted to relax for a little while longer before having to kick anybody's ass. Besides, the body heat felt nice. She kept her eyes closed, deciding that she would get some more sleep while she still could.
"Mmm..." she heard Natsu groan in his sleep.
Lucy was about to drift off to sleep when she suddenly realized something. That did not sound like Natsu, at all.
Her eyes shot open only to see Midnight's face only inches from hers. Her breath hitched in her throat as she nervously stared at his sleeping face. Why was he in her bed?
His grip tightened and he pulled her closer, causing Lucy's face to become flushed. Their faces were way too close for her comfort.
"M-Midnight..." She whispered, trying to wake him up carefully, "Midnight...wake up."
"Mmm..." he groaned and his eyes slowly flickered open. He looked at Lucy blankly and she could tell that he was still half asleep.
"Midnight, could you please let go?" she asked and his grip on her loosened. She sat up and his arm fell from her waist to the bed. He slowly sat up after her.
"Sorry..." he mumbled and she sighed. How could she be angry at someone so quiet?
"Why are you in my bed?" she questioned and he let out a small yawn.
"Cobra took the couch...I got cold," he vaguely explained while rubbing his tired eyes and she nodded her head in understanding.
"I can tell you're still tired," she smiled and held out her arm to ruffle his hair lightly before continuing, she just couldn't help herself, he was acting absolutely adorable, "you can go back to sleep for now."
He nodded his head slowly and laid his head back down on the pillow. Lucy slowly crawled out of bed and looked towards the couch to see Cobra sleeping there.
She mumbled a few curse words as she stormed over to the sleeping dragon slayer. She decided not to shout at him so that Midnight could keep sleeping so she reached out and grabbed Cobra by the ear and pulled.
His eyes flew open and he grabbed her wrist to get her to stop.
"Oi! Let go!" he yelled and she only pulled harder.
"Shut up, Midnight is sleeping!" she whispered angrily.
"Okay okay! Just let go!" he whispered back and she took her hand off of his ear and looked at him with a deadly glare, "what the hell is your problem?"
"Why did you kick Midnight off of the couch? I thought I told you to sleep on the floor," she hissed and crossed her arms under her chest.
"I'm not sleeping on the floor just because you think he is cute," he snapped back at her.
"Excuse me?"
"I can hear you thoughts Fairy, I heard you think that he was absolutely adorable," Cobra answered and pointed towards the sleeping mage.
"You can read my thoughts can you?" she questioned while walking towards the bathroom, "when then, if you want to sleep on the couch then maybe you should act adorable too, you jerk!" she shouted before she slammed the door shut, completely forgetting that she was trying to be quiet.

"Okay you two, I'm leaving, don't cause any trouble while I'm away," Lucy announced as she began to walk to the front door.
"Hey hey, where are you going?" Cobra questioned and she turned around to look at him in annoyance.
"I'm going to my guild, is there a problem?"
"Yes, there is a problem, we aren't supposed to leave your side," Cobra said.
"What?"
"We were told that if we were to stray from your side then our sentences will be increased," Midnight explained.
"Don't you guys have life sentences anyway?" Lucy asked and Midnight nodded his head in confirmation.
"Exactly, if we aren't with you at all times then our life sentences will become death sentences," Cobra grumbled.
"What? But I want to go to the guild," Lucy whined and stomped her feet on the ground in a mini tantrum.
"Then we will go with you," Midnight suggested and Cobra and Lucy looked at him in horror.
"Are you crazy? They will kill us if we show up there!" Cobra shouted and Lucy frantically nodded her head in agreement.
"They are sure to find out eventually, if she doesn't come to the guild then her team will come here looking for her," he reasoned.
"So we are screwed either way, just great!"
"Hm...I'm sure if we go there I can sort things out, I mean, how hard can it be, right?"
Time Skip
"We should talk to the Master first," Lucy suggested, "he'll be able to think of something," the two dark mages nodded in agreement at her suggestion, "let's go through the back."
Lucy started to walk towards the back of the guild building and was followed by a reluctant Cobra and Midnight. They stared at the blond as she led them around, a million thoughts ran through their heads.
After all the things that had done it the past, after all the things that they had done to the Celestial mage, she didn't seem as scared as she was when she first saw them at her apartment. In fact, she seemed completely normal, as if they had never tried to kill her or her friends. Could it really be possible to change so much in one night?
"Okay guys, make sure no one sees you," Lucy whispered as she placed her hand on the door knob. They had reached the back of the guild and Lucy was pleasantly surprised to find that the back door was unlocked. People must use the doorway often. She pulled the door open only to find the iron dragon slayer standing in front of her, blocking her path.
"What are you doing back here, Bunny girl?" he questioned as he looked down at her.
"U-uh...it's...I'm..." she stuttered when she had realized she had been caught. Now all hell was about to break loose.
Gajeel glanced behind Lucy and his eyes landed on the dark mages that were equally as shocked as the blonde girl in front of them. Gajeels eyes widened for a brief second before becoming a death glare that matched his scowl.
"Isn't tha-" he began to speak but Lucy jumped forward and covered Gajeel's mouth with her hand.
"Please don't say anything," she begged, "I promise I will explain everything later, I don't want anyone in the guild to find out they are here."
The iron dragon slayer looked down at Lucy and then back at the silent Midnight and Cobra. He could see the desperation in her eyes when he looked at her and he internally sighed. He nodded his head, accepting the girl's request.
"Really? Oh my Mavis! Thank you so much!" Lucy squealed as she removed her hand from Gajeel's mouth.
"If you don't want everyone finding out then maybe you should be quiet," Gajeel said, and Cobra slowly nodded his head in agreement.
Lucy rolled her eyes at the two and jumped at Gajeel, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug, "thank you so much for not trying to kill them, I'll be sure to tell you and everyone else everything later," she rambled and stepped back after finishing her small rant, "and I'll be sure to tell Levy how amazing you are!" she shouted at ran passed a stunned Gajeel. Midnight and Cobra following close behind.
Cobra smirked slightly when he heard the iron dragon slayers thoughts about the Levy girl that Lucy had mentioned. He found it amusing that the almighty dragon slayer had gotten soft after joining Fairy Tail.
His smirk dropped slightly when he thought this. He hoped that it wouldn't happen to him. He really hoped that being around Fairy Tail wouldn't make him turn soft. Though his smirk returned after a few seconds of worry, that wouldn't happen to him.
It was impossible
