Background Information: Triton Hunter was the third Victor that District Four brought home. He was no Career. He'd grown up in an orphanage and didn't have the money to pay for training lessons, nor did he have the wealth to afford decent meals. It was considered a miracle that he'd even survived the 9th Annual Hunger Games. He was probably one of the least affected by the Games, as he'd barely witnessed any events, aside from the initial bloodbath and his only kill in the arena.
The Games: The 9th Annual Hunger Games took place in a Catholic cathedral from the Olden Days. This unarguably resulted in disputes over tributes' religious beliefs. The most religious of all refused to commit such misdeeds in a place as sacred as an ancient cathedral. The Careers used the reluctance and hesitation of the other tributes to their advantages and slew as many as possible during the initial bloodbath. This moments distraction was enough for Triton to grab the one backpack in front of his podium and ran off before anyone could notice.
The Games only lasted a week - of course, a Cathedral wasn't all that big.
Triton Hunter made no effort to interact with any other tributes. He'd fled to the one area in the arena, which others didn't go and he was enclosed in his own personal space that it was almost like paradise for the week he spent there. He hid in a tool shed in the back garden of the Cathedral, which was surrounded with edible berries. Triton had grown up eating a minimal amount of food, and this was no different - perhaps, only a little more than usual. He knew when to conserve and when he couldn't, and he never found himself particularly hungry.
None of the Careers ended up making it into the top three, after a fallout and several being eaten alive by a swarm of flesh-eating birds. Triton and the females from Six and Seven were called to the final bloodbath, except Triton didn't bother. He stayed in his hideout, while the girl from Seven sliced the other in half. For two days, the girl wandered around the arena, puzzled, aggravated and frustrated. She finally came upon Triton while he'd been filling a bottle of water, but before she could reach him, Triton had launched a throwing knife at the girl with incredible accuracy. The weapon landed its mark - the middle of her forehead and only seconds later, Triton claimed victory.
