Anna stared off into space as she sat at a picnic table in the University's courtyard. One of the many textbooks she had checked out of the library was lying open in front of her. Its musty, old smell had finally taken a toll on her senses, and the small text had strained her eyes so much that she had a headache.

She groaned into an exasperated sigh before falling back onto the bench. It was no use. No matter how many books she read, how many genealogy texts she scoured, she was no closer to figuring out who Elsa had been. In all honesty, she was probably closer to having to see an optometrist for a pair of thick reading glasses from having to strain such teeny tiny words scribbled on most of the pages.

Aquamarine eyes watched as the leaves adorning the tree branches above her rustled in a calming breeze. There were no records of anyone with the name Caldersdatter. Sure, Elsa had said it was an old name, but she hadn't thought it would be archaic!

"Maybe I'll just put the search on hold for now," Anna sighed dejectedly. She rubbed the grogginess from her eyes. The pent-up stress that had cumulated over the past few weeks had finally gotten to her. Her brain was completely fried, her muscles were tense, and her emotional elasticity was more like a tight-rope made of twine than a rubber band. Thank, God, her final exams were done for the year.

"Damn, I could use just about anything to help unwind right now."

"Diiiiiid someone call for a little stress relief?" Her brain cackled like an old timey cartoon character.

Visions of Elsa bombarded Anna's mind at the speed of light. Elsa's hips and legs dressed in her skin tight, black, leather skirt and heels with no stockings. Elsa lounging in the bathtub as steam swirled around her like a succubus. Anna's personal favorite, although she hated to admit it, Elsa clad in a French maid outfit.

Oh, but the last one. Her brain had truly outdone himself on the last one. Elsa was splayed out on her bed; wearing a transparent, purple, silk robe. The smooth fabric was open in the front, not that it really needed help in revealing the vampiress's creamy skin. Anna could see Elsa's perky nipples clear as day under the robe, but now her southernmost womanly trait was exposed in all its glory.

Elsa's hair was loose of its braid; splayed across the pillow beneath her. The arctic blue hue of her eyes was tinted with a tinge of crimson as they stared hungrily into Anna's soul. A strained moan struggled against Anna's throat as she mentally envisioned Elsa beckoning her with a simple "come hither" curl of her finger.

"Little Lamb," her brain managed to get Elsa's voice to have the perfect amount of velvety undertone, "you have been so good lately. I think you've earned a reward."

Anna gasped sharply as molten heat flowed from her stomach to the juncture between her legs like a stream leading to a geyser. She slapped herself repeatedly and bit her lip to stifle an agonized scream. "Dammit, Brain! I said I wanted to unwind! Not swap the pent-up stress with repressed sexual tension!"

"Wow! I think we've lost her, Merida. Anna's soaking through to the picnic bench," a friendly voice teased.

Anna's eyes shot open as the fire from her crotch relocated itself to her face. "Wait! What?" She threw herself up into a seated position and glanced at her shorts. Sure enough, there was a dark spot forming in the juncture between her legs.

"Dammit!" Anna whined in frustration. Whether it was from embarrassment or sexual tension, she had no idea. She would just have to say 'Yes'.

As soon as she regained her composure, Anna glanced in the direction of the voice that had ripped her from her mental torment through her fingers. Rapunzel and Merida were trying desperately to hide their amusement. Smiles were slowly easing onto their faces as tears formed in the corners of their eyes and their cheeks turned red.

"Go on. Laugh. Laugh at my misery," Anna droned in defeat.

The two college girls roared with laughter without missing a beat. Rapunzel was doubled over the picnic table, pressing her forehead against the wooden surface. Merida had managed to completely fling herself onto her back while her legs kicked the air.

Anna's embarrassment returned ten-fold, and she tucked her head into the old book still sitting on the table. "It's not that funny," she grumbled.

"It's pretty funny," Rapunzel gasped between bouts of laughter.

"Aye! Hilarious even!" Merida seconded from her spot on the ground.

A soft whimper sounded from Anna's throat. "Come on, you guys. Cut me some slack. I'm super stressed right now, okay?"

Rapunzel and Merida managed to calm themselves down just enough to hiccup the occasional chuckle as they sat across from their friend at the table. Their faces were flushed deep crimson as they wiped their eyes.

"Oh, come on, Anna," Rapunzel cooed. "We're sorry. It's not our fault you got horny in the middle of the courtyard."

Anna faceplanted into the picnic table and flicked her middle finger at the blonde.

"Ach, come on!" Merdia knuckled the back of Anna's head. "We have somethin' to help ya unwind!"

"What might that be? A cactus to add further physical pain to my hurt pride?" Anna's voice was muffled, but no less deflated.

"The club Eugene works at is hosting a private party tonight," Rapunzel exclaimed, her hands balling up with excitement. "Apparently, it's something they do once or twice a year, and they only allow certain people in."

"We think it's a customer appreciation thing for the regulars who blow all their money day after day," Merida explained confidently.

"And Eugene says he got the three of us on the list!" Rapunzel squealed. Her lashes were beating so fast Anna wondered how she hadn't taken flight.

Anna sighed heavily. She wasn't much of a clubbing type of girl. "As much as I would love to go and unwind a little, I have to pass."

"What?" Rapunzel and Merida shrieked in unison.

"I have work, you guys," Anna half-lied. Sure, she had to "work" alright. Even if she had wanted to go, part of her contract was that she needed Elsa's permission to leave the mansion at night. It hadn't been an issue until now. She highly doubted the vampiress would condone such behavior that usually occurred at clubs anyway.

"Psh! Work schmirk!" Merida scoffed. "Can't you call in sick or somethin'?"

"I doubt it," Anna replied anxiously. "It's pretty strict hours. I never know if my patient will get up in the middle of the night for something or not."

Rapunzel eyed Anna suspiciously. The red head felt a bead of sweat roll down her neck from the intense stare. If anyone was going to see through her bluff, Punzie was going to be it.

"I think," Rapunzel's gaze turned impish, "you just want to spend more time with your girlfriend!"

Anna's jaw dropped. Sure, she hadn't been able to hang out with Rapunzel and Merida for a couple months since she signed her verbal contract with Elsa, but there was more to it than her restricted parameters. She almost had to quit her job at the bakery because her curfew, intermingled with any studying she had to complete for exams, made it impossible to really have a life outside the mansion.

Granted, she had learned a bit more about Elsa in that time. Not much, but a little. Plus, she really enjoyed being in the older woman's presence.

"Yeah," Merida seconded, slowly catching on to Rapunzel's train of thought. "Now that I think about it, we haven't even met your girlfriend since you guys started dating."

"Wait, now hold on a minute," Anna reeled.

"I say she not only shows up, but she brings this mysterious girlfriend of her's too," Rapunzel stated confidently.

"I don't think-" Anna tried to interject.

"Aye! I second that!" Merida shouted.

"It's decided then!" Rapunzel whipped a black Sharpie marker out of her back pocket and grasped Anna's wrist firmly. The wet felt tickled the underside of the appendage as the blonde scribbled information on the sensitive skin.

"Hey!" Anna shouted half-heartedly through a wave of giggles. "That tickles!"

"And done!" Rapunzel stated with a flourish of her marker. "Here's the address and what time to meet up with us there. Can't wait to meet your girlfriend, Anna! Bye!"

The two college girls sprinted across the grassy lawn to the parking lot faster than Anna could comprehend. She blinked in confusion. "What just happened?"

She stared at the underside of her forearm and raised an eyebrow curiously. "The Snuggly Duckling? 10:00 tonight. Who goes out at 10:00?"

XXXXXXXXXXXX

"I have to be out of my mind," Anna huffed as she fumbled with her hair. She glanced at her reflection and blew a raspberry at herself. Her outfit was alright at best: blue jean shorts, black shirt that had a sandwich with "Finish each other's" written in the bread, and a green flannel to top it off. It was hardly something someone would wear to a club, but she didn't have any fancy party clothes.

"Maybe I could ask Elsa if I could borrow one of her outfits," she murmured, finally giving up and braiding a small amount of hair around her head while letting the rest fall in waves over her shoulders. No point in doing something fancy with her hair when her outfit was so casual.

Anna shook her head like a wet dog shaking itself dry. "Are you nuts?" She asked herself cynically. "I'm already trying to sneak out of the mansion to hang out with Punzie and Merida. Asking Elsa for an outfit would surely tip her off! Besides, I don't think we're at that level of friends yet."

A slightly sour feeling settled in Anna's stomach at the thought of showing up to the party by herself. "Dammit, I'm going to have to come up with some excuse for why Elsa isn't with me. What's believable? She's sick? That might do it. Nasty case of allergies mixed in with a freak summer flu. That'll do it!"

She quickly cinched the laces of her hi-top Converse, tucking the laces under the tongue to keep herself from tripping. A small shudder rippled through her spine as the traumatizing memory of her freshman year in high school popped into her head. Why did her overly clumsy nature have to go into beast mode on spaghetti day?

"Okay!" She stared at her reflection fiercely. "You got this! You're ready! You were born ready!" She glanced at her phone: 9:30PM. "Now, let's go!"

She strode to the door to her bedroom with confidence. This was going to be a piece of cake. Gerda was already asleep by this time, Vanellope was bound to be either passed out or playing that silly racing videogame she got for having good grades, and Elsa…

Well, to be honest, Elsa was the only independent variable in this equation. She usually woke up around seven or eight o'clock, so she was undoubtedly up. But she could have been playing her cello in her room or reading; there was nothing saying the vampiress was going to catch wind of what Anna was doing.

"Except for her super sensitive vampire hearing," Anna reminded herself as she slowly peeked out of her bedroom, down the hall. The coast was clear. She crouched down low and crept down the hall towards the staircase.

Shadows loomed across the walls from the early evening moonlight filtering through the windows. The stagnant air that accompanied it made the mansion feel more sinister. Paintings were dull and lifeless, the carpets and rugs were muted, and the only sound that could be heard was from Anna's shoes gently shuffling to the main door.

Anna could hear her heart pounding in her ears. She hadn't been this scared of the ancient dwelling since she first arrived. Things had really changed for her over the course of a couple months.

She reached the stairs and hoisted herself onto the railing. Every other step had a very specific point where they would squeak. It was almost as if the steps had been enchanted to do so, considering that they only seemed to emanate any kind of noise at night. Vanellope ran up and down the stairs enough for Anna to find a disconnect between the sound and time of day.

"Damn vampire magic," Anna whispered almost inaudibly under her breath as she slid down the railing. She couldn't help the wave of giddiness bubbling in her chest as she slipped over the polished mahogany. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that Gerda would have a fit if she ever saw this.

The railing disappeared suddenly, and a small gasp escaped Anna's mouth as she tumbled to the floor. Somehow, she couldn't quite figure out how she had done it herself, she had landed silently. Her hands were pressed flat to the polished, tile floor, legs bent into a pouncing position, and her knees were just barely scraping the floor. She looked more like a cat that was just dropped from the banister.

"Whew! That was close!" She sighed mentally.

She scanned the foyer briefly before creeping towards the door. Excitement was singing through every fiber of her being. Who would have thought it would be so easy to sneak out of a house that had a vampire for a security system?

A dull flash slipped through Anna's peripheral, but she ignored it. The shadows in the mansion were all sorts of light tricks. Instead, she grasped the doorknob firmly, scooted through the tiny crack, and gently closed the wooden barrier with a soft "click".

"There," Anna sighed heavily. She hadn't even noticed she had been holding her breath until now. "That wasn't so hard."

"What wasn't so hard?" a smooth, velvety voice asked.

Anna froze. Chills prickled down her spine as the hair on her arms and back of her neck stood on end. Her hot breath came out in frosty puffs as the world around her grew faintly colder. The brisk air was laden with danger.

A cool finger traced along Anna's jaw from behind. The scent of winter mint and vanilla gently enraptured her senses, sending a pleasant heat to slowly pool in her belly. The digit was soft, but firm in its actions as the nail gently scraped her skin.

Despite her body's protests, Anna slowly looked over her shoulder. Her mouth ran dryer than a desert in a drought. "God…"

Elsa was just a nose length away from her face. The vampiress's eyes were caught between their usual deep blue and crimson in an off-violet hue but held a hint of mirth and mischief. A smirk that revealed just one of her fangs held her lips firmly as she stared deep into her Little Lamb's frantic eyes. Her typical purple robe was the only thing protecting the woman from the elements, and Anna's leering gaze.

"My name is Elsa, but I can get accustomed to the title," the older woman laughed in a bell-like tone. She gently dragged her finger down Anna's jugular vein and felt her heart flutter just under the skin. "However, that is only if you answer my question."

Anna could barely breathe, much less think. The look in Elsa's eyes had her completely frozen in place. It felt like they were grounding her very soul to the stone threshold.

"I-I," she managed to choke, "w-was going t-to…"

"You were going to meet your friends," Elsa more stated than asked. Her eyes phased back to their icy blue.

Anna felt her lungs suck at the warming air around her greedily. "Y-yeah," she wheezed, "how did you-"

"I've told you once before," Elsa chuckled, moving closer to the strawberry blonde until their bodies were flush together. She blew a soft puff of air into Anna's ear and relished in the shivers that rocked her frame. "I can hear everything that happens in this house; especially when you are fretting with your hair for a full hour whilst talking to yourself."

Anna bit her tongue and pinched her eyes closed in disbelief. She should have known she couldn't get around Elsa's super hearing. What in God's name made her think she could ever outsmart the age-old woman?

Elsa rested her hand on her hip. "You are aware that you are currently violating our agreement, correct?"

"Well, yes, but also no," Anna fidgeted slightly.

This caused Elsa to raise a brow slightly. "Do explain."

A brief wave of relief swept through Anna's chest. She might be able to bluff her way out of this one. "Well, you see. My friend's, Merida and Rapunzel, found me at school today, and they mentioned going to a party that Rapunzel's boyfriend, Eugene, managed to get us on the list for. I, originally, said no, but they wouldn't listen! Instead they accused me of wanting to spend more time with you! Actually, they said "spend more time with your girlfriend," but we aren't girlfriends. I mean, unless you want to be. In which case, I would totally be okay with it. Wait…What was I saying?"

Elsa blinked slowly as she tried to process the younger woman's ramblings. She was quite sure Anna had just spewed five run-on sentences on a single breath. And, yet, in that entire explanation, she never once gave her an answer.

The vampiress held up a hand. "Anna, I must ask you to re-establish this story of yours. Your rambling is getting to be a bit much."

Anna snapped out of her verbous speech. "Oh! Right! So, long story short-"

"Too late," Elsa snickered faintly.

"Long story short," Anna emphasized with a wave of her hand. "They said I should bring you along. I just thought I would respect your gracious personality and not insult you by asking you to come with me to a club. I wasn't sure if you would be interested in such-"

"Very well, just let me go change." Was Elsa's brief reply as she sauntered passed the babbling red head.

Anna's eyes nearly bounced off the welcome mat as they popped out of her head. "Wait… What?"

Elsa cast a seductive glance over her shoulder. "What? Did you honestly think I spent all my time in this mansion? My dear, Little Lamb," she gently trailed her middle finger along the underside of Anna's jaw, only to trap her chin between her thumb and index finger. "I will have to show you a special side of me that so very few ever get to see," she husked.

Anna's jaw joined her eyes on the ground. She watched soundlessly as Elsa released her chin and strode into the mansion to change. The mere thought of the two going to the club together, drinking together, and even possibly dancing together was enough to send fire across her cheeks. That was before her brain decided to get in on the action and send visions of Elsa wearing skin tight party outfits through her mind's eye.

She plastered her hand to her chest and leaned against the canopy pillar for support. "Be still, my beating heart."
