Misaki sat perfectly still in the chair, refusing to open his mouth even as the officers hands touched the bruised skin of his neck. "Come on young man, you have to tell us who attacked you." The boy shook his head and trembled. "Sir, I keep telling you Misaki is only able to say a few simple phrases, as well as his own name." The officer shook his head and sighed, Akihiko repeated the same action. When Akihiko first entered the room he was hysterical, shouting commands at the house staff to lock the doors and to retrieve the security footage. One woman, obviously upset at the fact that she was possibly being persecuted even suggested that it may have been Akihiko that did the deed. However after the footage was shown it was revealed that a man with medium length black hair, wearing a blue suit was the one who did the crime. However, due to at least four men at the party wearing a similar hair style and suit it was quite difficult to name the exact criminal. Akihiko glared at each of them, trying to discern any unusual traits. He thought that if he could find a tell about them, than he could figure out who exactly attacked Misaki.

The first suspect was his own cousin, Kaito. A man that would do anything for a quick buck, even do the evil bidding of another. So if he was the person to attack Misaki, than someone else must have put him to the job. The second was an old business partner of his father, Hikaru. He could not understand why he would do something like this, however he was the man that his mother had her affairs with when he was younger. The third was his elder brother Haruhiko, as a child he would always try to take away the things he loved. He grimaced as he distinctly remember watching his brother take his things without his permission, and never returning them. It wouldn't surprise him if he wanted to take the life of someone he cared for. (A/N Haruhiko grew his hair out a small amount) Finally there was the mysterious man Misaki had spoken too before heading to bed, Daichi. He was placed at the top of Akihiko's suspect list, due to the fact that he was the last person to have contact with the brunette before Akihiko had taken him to sleep.

"Oh please! How do we know that the little brat didn't just do it himself!" Akihiko glared in the direction of Cinnia, who for once was standing up and not sitting in either Leon's or Kenta's lap. Akihiko was about to start a fight when the officer interrupted them. "Ma'am, I know that you're upset about this. However the person who did this has hands that are much larger than Misaki's" He placed his hands along the bruises, being careful not to squeeze in order to see how big the hands were. "Damn... these hands are even bigger than mine, Akihiko place your hands on Misaki's neck." Normally Akihiko would refuse, however this was probably the only way for them to find out who actually did it, and he knew that they needed a size to go by. The man gently placed his hands along the bruises, making absolutely sure his touch was gentle. "Okay Akihiko, now place your hand on this paper." The officer began to trace his hand before tacking it against the wall. "Alright, whoever did this has hands that are either exactly the size of Akihiko's hands, or slightly larger. All suspects are too line up here and place their hand against the paper. If the size matches than you will be taken into custody for questioning. Understood!"

The four men lined up in a single file line at the paper, Kaito didn't look comfortable at all for some odd reason. He gently placed his hand against the paper, wincing a small amount as he flattened his palm out. "Hmmm... too small, alright you're free to go." Kaito took a deep breath of relief as he staggered over to the group of those who weren't suspects in the crime. Hikaru appeared to be just as terrified as Kaito, which was surprising because they had both done some fairly horrible deeds in their lives. Of course you can only do so much before you're finally caught. However as Hikaru placed his hand against the paper it was revealed that he was much too small to have done the deed as well.

This left Haruhiko and Daichi, who both continued to glare in the direction of Akihiko and Misaki for their own reasons. Haruhiko sighed and placed his hand against the paper, it was a perfect match, however that could have also been due to genetics. "Cuff him." The officer commanded to the security guard, who begrudgingly pulled his masters hands behind his back and placed the hand cuffs on him. Daichi sighed and placed his hand on the paper, his hand only being slightly larger than the tracing on the paper. "Cuff him as well. Alright you two we're going to take you down town where we're going to ask you a few questions." He began to lead them out, however as he did that the security guard came up to Akihiko with two small boxes. "These are Christmas gifts from your father for you and Misaki. Also the officer would like you to meet him at the station, he wants to see if he can get some answers from Misaki about all that had happened." Akihiko nodded and gently took Misaki's hand. "Let's go Misaki."

At the station, Misaki was sitting in a large room with only another officer. He whimpered and constantly looked at the door, hoping for Akihiko to come inside. However the man wouldn't be joining him this time, due to the fact that they were worried that having Akihiko in the room would interfere with getting any answers from him. The officer was a young woman, who specialized in working with victims that seemed to have mental delays. "Now Misaki, sweetie." She folded her hands together and began to think. Akihiko had told her that Misaki was only able to say simple phrases at this point, however he failed to tell her what exactly he could say. 'Perhaps I should start with a simple yes or no question' she thought to herself and smiled. "Misaki, would you like something to drink?" The brunette gave a nod, and she smiled. 'Perfect, if he can at least nod and shake his head no than we might be able to go somewhere with this.'

She reached into the mini fridge and pulled out a juice pouch, placing the straw in the hole for Misaki and handing it to him. "Now Misaki, I'm going to ask you a few questions about the man who hurt you, all you have to do is shake your head if they aren't true, or nod if they are. Understand?" Misaki nodded slowly as he slowly sucked on the straw.

"Now, was the man who hurt you someone you just met at the party?"
Misaki shook his head.
"I see, so you knew this man before coming to the party?"
Misaki gave a quick nod.
"Okay... now did Akihiko know this man before coming to the party?"
Misaki paused for a minute before quickly shaking his head no, he was quite sure that Akihiko did not know Daichi before attending the party.
"Okay so you knew him, and Akihiko did not. Now has this man did any other bad things to you, things that would make him want to continue hurting you?"

Misaki had gone completely pale, he could not help but to think of all of the beatings, rapes, as well as all of the other cruel acts he had been forced to endure. Treated like he was lower than shit as he grew up, never truly knowing what it was liked to be loved. Misaki began to breathe heavily, his eyes dilating at a weird pace. The pace of his breaths became faster, as he began to desperately suck in the oxygen of the room. For some reason the air was beginning to feel thin. "Misaki sweetie, I need you to answer the question." The woman gently placed her hands on Misaki's shoulders. "Misaki, I promise if you can tell us who it was we will make sure that he can never hurt you again."

The pace of his breathing began to even out, and he let out a few shaking coughs before looking back up at the officer. "Now please tell me, was it Haruhiko?" The brunette slowly shook his head. "Was it Daichi?" Misaki froze again, a cold sweat slowly dripping down the sides of his cheeks. He began to take slow deep breaths, as his gaze went from the woman who was talking to him, to his shoes on the floor. Back to the woman, and down at his shoes, back at the woman, and down at his shoes. This continued for a few minutes before Misaki slowly opened his mouth, his jaw trembling as he slowly formed the word. "Yeesss..."

The woman lead Misaki out into the lobby, where Akihiko was waiting. "Akihiko-san, there's going to be a court date a year from now." The older man glared at the woman in a skeptical manner. "Why in a year, why not sooner?" She beckoned him over to the counter and sighed. "Well due to how Misaki answered the questions, this might be more than just an assault case." She handed Akihiko her note pad and allowed him to study it. "It seems that Misaki, may have had a history with this Daichi person, however due to fair law we cannot keep him here until he is proven guilty by a jury of his peers. However it seems to me that Misaki is the only person who is able to testify against him. However, due to his current vocabulary he is unable too do so."

"What exactly are you saying Ma'am?"
"Use this year to improve Misaki's vocabulary, this way he will be ready to completely tell his side of the story by the time the court is in session."
"How are we going to keep Daichi away from him though?"
"We are issuing a restraining order, he is not to come within 30 yards of Misaki. In order to make sure that this distance is kept." She pulled out a silver band and placed it on the table. "We are going to have Misaki and Daichi wear these anklets, if these two pieces come withing 30 yards of each other we will be notified, and Daichi will recieve up to 5 years of prison time for violating the restraining order."

Akihiko took one of the anklets and sighed, he did not like the idea that Misaki had to wear one, however this was for his own safety. He gently snapped it open, and placed it on the brunettes left ankle. He than thanked the officer for all that she had done, and gently lead Misaki out the door and over to his car. "I'm sorry that this was such a disaster, you worked so hard to prepare for that dinner, and you didn't even get too enjoy it." He reached into his back seat, which had been filled with gifts from his more immediate family for him and Misaki and pulled out a small red box. "Here, we can't open any more until Christmas, but this is my present for you." Misaki began to slowly tear off the paper, having watched kids do it so many times on television. Inside was a silver box, nothing seemed to be special about it. Akihiko smiled and took it, pointing to a small key hole in the side. He took a key from his ring, that was much smaller than the others and gently turned it in the hole. The box slowly opened up, revealing what appeared to be a small toy monkey. The little figurine began to turn slowly, as a soft melody began to play. It sounded like some sort of melancholic lullaby. Misaki continued to watch the box, competely enchanted by the dancing toy and music. However eventually the music stopped and the toy slowly retreated back to its box. "I got that from an antique shop, I'm sure that even though you don't know what "The Phantom of the Opera" is, I was quite sure that you would enjoy that.

Misaki smiled and shook the box at Akihiko, he wanted the song to play again. "Please wait until we get home Misaki."
