"What's up with that?" came the gruff question from the thief known as Bandit Jackal.

Praline looked up from her task, tongue still poking out of the corner of her mouth in concentration. It was cute, Jackal thought, and only furthered her 'silly bunny' image. "What's up with what?" she replied, tilting her head.

Jackal pointed, first at the bottle of glittery teal liquid held in Praline's hand, and then to the brush that had emerged from said bottle, attached to the cap ('Genius', Jackal had thought when he'd first seen it, thinking that'd be a perfect way to hide blades), the blonde smearing the strange substance on her toes.

"It's nail polish, silly!" she giggled, a musical sound that brought warmth to his cheeks that had nothing to do with the desert sun.

"What's nail polish?" he asked.

"Whaaaaaaat!?" the singer exclaimed, nearly dropping the bottle. "You don't know what nail polish is?"

Jackal scowled. One of the thief's greatest tools was information, and he prided himself on knowing a lot. That Praline knew something he didn't irked him. "So what if I don't?" he snapped. "Just tell me what it is."

Praline recapped the bottle, tapping her chin thoughtfully. "It's like…paint for your nails." she replied. "It makes them look pretty."

Jackal raised an eyebrow. "Paint…for your nails."

"Yuh-huh."

"That's stupid."

Praline puffed out her cheeks, a creative twist on the way Jackal clenched his jaw when he was upset. "It's not stupid! It's fashionable! I wouldn't expect you to know."

"Well, excuse me for not seeing the point in gussying up your nails." replied the thief. "Why're you painting your toes, anyway? You wear boots all the time; who's gonna see 'em?"

The songstress blew a strand of hair from her face. "Who says they're for other people to see? They're for me. "

Jackal wasn't expecting an answer like that. "For you, huh?"

"Yeah. You know how sometimes I put on makeup even when I don't have a show, or I change my hair even when we're not going out?"

"Or how you take a half-hour when we are?"

Praline rolled her eyes. "Shut up. Anyway, when I do those things when there's no special occasion, they're for me. I like to feel pretty even when I'm not surrounded by fans." The blonde paused in her explanation to blow on her toes to speed up the drying process. "I don't need a reason to feel pretty aside from just wanting to. Get it?"

Jackal nodded. "I get it. It's still stupid, though."

Just before Praline was about to hurl the bottle at Jackal, the thief strode over to her, giving her a gentle kiss on the forehead. "Toe paint or makeup or whatever doesn't make you pretty. It's you that makes you pretty."

A wide smile broke out on Praline's face just before she tackled Jackal to the ground. "Jackie, you're so sweet!"

The bandit couldn't resist a smile forming on his own face. "Yeah, whatever. You probably ruined your toenails, by the way."

"Eh, I'll fix it later."

"…Jackal."

"Yeah, what's up, Chief?" replied the thief, eyes still trained on the plans for the building he was planning on robbing the following week.

Khint pointed to the bright, golden color that was most certainly not on Jackal's nails a few days ago. "Your nails."

"What about 'em?"

"They're painted."

"Yeah, Praline did 'em for me. Nice, huh?"

Khint was silent for a moment, the corners of his lips just slightly curving upwards for a smile. "It…it's a good look for you."

"Right?"
