Stumble and fall.

"Come on lady bug, walk to daddy." Sam cheered on little Isabella to walk to him.

"Sam relax she'll walk when she wants" Andy told Sam.

"She's already furniture surfing. I'm just helping her out" Sam replied.

Andy stood up from the couch and walked by and scooped up Izzy into her arms. Izzy giggled in delight.

"McNally bring her back." Sam called out as Andy carried their daughter up stairs.

"Nope" Andy yelled to make sure Sam heard her.

Sam finally made it to the nursery where Andy was taking Izzy's shirt off.

"Come on McNally. Let me have her" Sam extended his arms out.

Andy burst out laughing. "Why are you so desperate to get her to walk?"

"Because... I want her to" Sam replied not realising how childish he sounded.

"Fine here but your changing her diaper then" Andy said handing Izzy to her daddy.

Sam watched Andy walk out the nursery.

Sam put Izzy back on the changing table and removed her vibrant tutu and quickly went to changing her diaper.

Andy had gone into the master bedroom and turned on the baby cam to watch Sam.

Sam placed Izzy's tutu back on and mumbled "And your mom said you'd never wear anything like this" Sam ruffled Izzy's tutu around.

"I heard that" Andy said talking into the baby cam mic.

Sam looked up at the baby cam and smiled at her and gave ber his classic you know I'm right look.

Sam took his attention back to Izzy. Sam had her stand on hjs feet so sbe could familiarize herself with the motion of walking.

Andy continued watching as Sam walked backwards all throughout Izzy's nursery.

Izzy cooed and laughed looking up at her daddy.

"Look lady bug, all you do is stand firm and carefully place one foot in front of the other and then do the same with the other foot and that's all. Its really all simple once you get the hang of it" Sam tried to explain to his 9 month old daughter the logistics of walking on her own.

Andy watched on contentedly.

After five minutes Izzy's coos and giggles turned into loud crys.

Sam carried Izzy onto his chest and patted her back to calm her down.

"I know it's a lot to take in for you, just know that I'll be here for you when you stumble and fall" Sam whispered into his daughters little ear. Izzy's cries diminished and Sam placed Izzy in her crib to take her nap.

When Sam walked into his bedroom Andy was sitting on their bed with the biggest smile on her face. "Thank you for loving us like you do"

Sam crawled on the bed to her and kissed her "No thank you for everything. For giving me the most gorgeous little girl. For being the best wife and mother to me and Izzy. "

"I love you Sam"

"I love you to Andy" Sam replied.

Andy snuggled up to sam. "Izzy's asleep, and we have some time so... I think we should start practicing for that little boy you want"

Sam leaned over to the night stand and made sure the mic on the baby monitor was off so they wouldn't wake Izzy anytime soon.
