First things first!

Hello!

Second, I FINALLY CAUGHT UP TO MAGI!

Third, GODDAMMIT SINBAD! YOU PIECE OF-!

Fourthly, I told you I wasn't abandoning the story. I was just...not sure what to do? I guess? Like, I somewhat know the end result I want, but I just had trouble writing the chapter.

Because there's a couple of Month's time skip between Sinbad going to Kou and then coming back to Sindaria, so I wanted to use that to develop Masrur's and Asura's Relationship further...

Buuuuuut then there was a three-way tie between Asura's love interest.

Between Masrur, Judal/Judar, and Kouen.

You guy's...are making this hard for me to decide. (Because I love all three of them.)

I never really planned on Asura staying with Astaroth, The gorgon and every other Djinn having no actually body to speak of anymore. The wiki said (and I think Ugo and Solomon with a few other's as well) that Djinn were created by Solomon- that was agreed upon by said Djinn's- to be just 'the pure power that a King uses'.

So while they no longer have an actually body anymore, Asura does.

And while I could possibly make it work for them to be together, I don't think it would end well as Asura would have to summon Astaroth constantly from his metal vessel just to see him.

And thats not even taking in account that he would have to get past Kouen every single time. (Even then all they would be able to really do is talk. Must be painful to not even be able to hold hands with someone you love.)

If Astaroth had won, then I would have MADE IT WORK DAMMIT!

Then there was things needed to be done in my life...

And lastly, I was finally able to push past the block and get this out because people kept messaging me (you know who you are).

Bear with me as I try to get this shit straightened out.

Chapter 14: Hot hot season.

Asura's only reaction when he realized it was mating season was a huff of annoyance, before shrugging the urges off (with great struggle) and instead focused on making the two pups healthy again.

He had noted that Masrur has been avoiding him, or at least keeping his distance from his person at all times. Asura didn't know what the hell he did for the other to avoid him, but he was going to figure it out and apologize for- apparently- offending the other somehow.

Oh well, he mused as he watched over the pup's eating a bowl of soup and a side of meat. At least he's doing something productive while avoiding me. He noted with approval. The younger Fanalist had taken Morgiana out into the jungle for training, the female barely had time to process what was happening before they were gone.

"Slow down or you will choke." he chided the younger twin.

Said boy paused, cheeks filled with soup, as he blinked innocently up at his ancestor. He swallowed, a blush staining his cheeks as he sheepishly shrugged his shoulders. "Sorry."

Asura let out an amused chuckle, looking towards the other to find him disregarding his utensils, and instead eating with his hands. Asura cocked a brow, "Ahem."

Runic froze, mouth opened and hand about to shove more food into his mouth. He slowly turned towards Asura. He snapped his jaw closed and put the meat back down. He coughed, embarrassed, and cleaned his hands before picking up his spoon and continued to eat.

"Thats what I thought."

Asura would have gone to spend time with his little king, start his magical training and what-not, but the boy seemed to be depressed from the memories he had gained from his father. He couldn't blame him, a child- even if he was Solomon's son- suddenly gaining memories of years of war and carnage, of people he now knew but never met and watching them die or turn traitor, it would have broken anyone else. Thankfully Aladdin was tougher then he thought. Still, he is a child and needs time to himself. He mused.

Once the two were done with their meal, Asura sent them to stretch themselves out. They needed to be fairly nimble to do a few moves. "This is as much as you can do until you put on some weight." he stated before leaving them to explore on their own, while he went to track down Amon and see if he had heard if anyone has captured Astaroth's dungeon.

Now, where oh where could that candidate be? He wondered as he sniffed the air to try and catch the blondes scent.

Turned out to be a horrible idea as he caught some appealing scents in the air that shot straight to his groin. Dammit. He scowled, holding down a shudder and taking a deep breath. Stupid mating season. He internally grumbled. "No sniffing the air then." he muttered as he listened for any sign of the teen. "If only Astaroth was here." he sighed in longing, he had always looked forward to mating season with Astaroth. No one was stupid enough to disturb them, the last time someone had, Astaroth had almost set them aflame.

Astaroth, while being the more civil of the two beasts, was still a beast. His primal side had taken offense to someone else catching a glimps of his mate in bliss, instincts roaring at him to eliminate the competition he saw and redo his claiming on Asura thoroughly.

Even after the season was over, Astaroth made it abundantly clear that he was not happy to have been disturbed so many times over the course of the month with Asura. He had Solomon gather everyone in a meeting, where Astaroth had given them the one warning that, 'If any of you disturb us again, then I will not miss next time. This is your only warning.'

The proof of his words the next year came, when they were attacked and a couple of enemy's had stumbled upon the mating couple.

Neither were happy.

Solomon had later found the melted bodies of their enemy's in front of their door. The snarling and growling from inside informed him that they were still at it, making him turn towards the other that arrived with a flat expression.

"Well then. Time to go. We'll clean this up later."

Wahid had roared with laughter when he heard, tumbling to the floor as he tried to breath, while Sheba and a few other had gone beat-red.

Asura stopped in the middle of the hallway, the smile he had while reminiscing had disappeared, his brows furrowing and fist clenched as he looked to the floor. We were so happy. Despite the war they were in, they had each other, comrades, friends, a makeshift family.

"Ohohohohoooo~! Look who finally came out of their room~!" Wahid teased, his eye gleaming with mischief, as he brought the attention of the entire common room to them.

Astaroth sighed in exasperation, knowing what was coming "Wahid-" The gorgon started only to get interrupted.

"I'm surprised you can even stand, Asura." Wahid continued slyly.

The fanalist rolled his eye's as he took a seat next to Ithnan. "Poke fun all you want Wahid, but at least I have someone to spend the nights with. Tell me, has Falan been charmed to your bed yet?" Asura said with a smirk.

"He, like, wishes!" Said woman yelled from a table over.

"OI!"

He wanted that back.

"That poor girl." Ithnan sighed in amusement.

Asura glanced to where his friend was looking, and saw a blushing Sheba standing next to Solomon. "And what is she doing over there?" he questioned.

Ithnan chuckled, "She said she was going to confess today but..." he trailed off as the two watched as Solomon smiled at her, making her go red and stutter something before falling silent and staring again. "Well...It's been at least twenty minutes since shes gone over there."

"S-S-SOLOMON!" Sheba yelled out, gaining their leaders attention again.

"Hm? Yes, Sheba?" Solomon asked, tilting his head curiously at her.

"Oho? Is she going to do it?" Asura mused. The two leaned forward slightly, as if it would give them a better view. They saw a few others doing the same.

"I-I-I..." her voice cracked. She paused, gulped, and clenched her fists. "I-I-I...R-REALLY...L-L-LO-LOVE Y-Y-Y-Y-"

"Come on! A few more, like, letters!" Falan hissed from the side of the room.

"Hm?" Solomon prompted, oblivious to what she was trying to say.

"Y-Y-Y-YAM'S!"

.

.

"...Ha?" everyone said in shock.

"THEY'RE SO DELICIOUS ESPECIALLY COOKED!" Sheba continued with tears coming down her face.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH?!" They roared at what she fucking said.

"DAMMIT SHEBA!" Falan roared, being held back by a sighing Wahid. "LET ME AT HER!"

Solomon just laughed, patting her head and making his way over to Asura when he saw him. Sheba fell to the floor in defeat, not believe what she said.

Asura blinked, observing the knowing glint in Solomon's eye's as he walked towards him. He knows exactly whats happening. He thought in amusement.

He wanted them back.

He wanted to go back home.

And as much as he hated them-

Wahid grinned widely, dimple's only seen when he was truly happy showed, small crinkles near his shining eye. He had just informed everyone of Falan saying yes to him.

As much as they had hurt him-

Falan's eyes soften, mouth in a small content smile as she watched her husband fret about her and their upcoming child. Love radiating off of her as a blush made it's way onto her cheeks.

As much as he wishes to rage-

Ithnan's laughter rang through the room as he ran away from Sheba. His cheeks were flushed from joy, hair whipping as he ran, smile so wide it looked like it hurt.

He couldn't...

"Asura! Asura! Look! His name is Tess! Isn't it amazing?! I HELPED MAKE HIM!"

Because, no matter what...

"Hey Asura, male Fanalist can, like, have kid's with other males. Right? So, like, when are you and Astaroth gonna have some?"

He still...

"Finally! Took forever for her to confess! Maybe we should have just locked them into a bedroom together years ago. It would have saved so much frustration."

He still...

...

….He still loved them...

He had no idea what happened to Falan and Ithnan after the battle, but he remembered Wahid sacrificing himself for his wife. He acted like the Wahid he remembered, before that final battle, before Tess had died.

He remembered shedding a tear, even in his rage at them, for his friend as he disappeared. At the realization that nothing would ever be the same again, that their little family was broken beyond repair, without hope of ever getting those laugh filled day's back.

As Asura lifted his head and looked out the window next to him, hearing the laughter of children, the happy filled voices of the citizens of the island, only one thought crossed his mind.

It's not the same. He looked away and continued on, his hand came up and wiped a stray tear from his cheek. His eye's hardened, shaking memories away. It may not be the same, but Solomon is counting on me. I have a job to do, there is no use in dwelling in the past.

After all, the only reason he agreed to this whole thing was for Aladdin, and the possiblility to be reunited with Astaroth.

And yet, the phantom laughter from his past could still be heard. The image of his family celebrating clear, the last day they were truly happy echoed as he walked.

He paused, hearing footstep coming his way. Turning his head, he was surprised to see Masrur walking towards him, yet the younger of the two seemed deep in thought, thus not realizing that he was near him.

"Well, I was just thinking on finding you." Asura said when Masrur was near enough.

Said fanalist jerked at the voice, eyes widening as he spun on his heel to look at Asura. Dammit. He thought, he really should pay more attention to where he was going. "Asura..." he acknowledged with a slight nod.

"Hn." Asura hummed, crossing his arms and quirking a brow at the other. "Shall you explain why it is you seem to be avoiding me?"

Masrur shifted his feet, not wanting to tell him about his reasoning. Thats way too embarrassing to say. He thought, because how could he tell the person he had a crush on that he wanted to mate with them?

Asura tilted his head, "Masrur?"

"You..." Masrur started, fumbling to come up with a suitable reason.

"'I'...?" Asura prompted, cocking his head to the side.

"You...look like someone I use to know..." Masrur said at last, gaining a cocked brow from the other. "He was very dear to me, Magus is...no longer among us. I- we've known each other since I was but a pup. I...I guess it's still fairly painful to look at you without seeing him." he explained.

Asura blinked, recalling the amount of people who kept calling him 'Magus' and decided that Masrur's reasoning was sound. Especially if it was some so close to him, and seeming like it was a recent lost as well.

He was fairly certain that he would have gone crazy if he saw someone who looked like Astaroth walking around, and having to be in the same building as them.

"Hm, I see." Asura nodded, "I apologize for bringing you such pain so thoughtlessly. I shall give you your needed space, and hope that we can move past this and become...friends." he said, hesitating at the last part. Asura wasn't sure if he was ready for friendship again, but he wanted to try. He couldn't let betrayal's stop him from forming new connections.

Masrur mentally sighed in relief, "Thank you. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some business to attend to." and with that, he hurriedly went down the hall.

Asura sighed, wondering what he was suppose to do now. Well, he thought as he started walking again. Amon will just need to entertain me for a while. He decided and kept an ear out for the teen.

Later on found Asura agitated as he couldn't seem to find the teenager, add to the fact that he had no one to mate with, and it all made an angry fanalis. This wouldn't be a problem if I had someone to fight with. He thoughts grouchily, maybe I should practice my magic and exhaust myself. He mused, he's never done it before, as any time he had extra energy Astaroth would help him take care of it.

Thinking about the Gorgon made him depressed.

Stop that. He scolded himself, coming outside into an empty courtyard. He sighed, spotting a bench that overlooked the small country, and headed towards it. "There's not much to do without the little king around..." he muttered. He didn't know what to do with all of this free time. He was a leader of a tribe, so he was responsible for a lot of things, thus making him busy when not with his brothers. Then Solomon had recruited him, and he had missions to do, then Astaroth was there with him most of the time. Even when they had their utopia, he still had responsibility's to keep him busy. He had friends to spend time with, a mate to love, a leader to help...

"...Huh...I am a fairly boring beast." He mumbled in realization.

He literally didn't have any hobby's.

"...Fuck, even Wahid cooked as a hobby." He muttered, brow furrowing as he thought on what he could do with his time. Cocking his head as he stared down at the human settlement, he thought of something that could take up his time. "The history." he mumbled with a nod, "I could read the history of this world." They had library's in this world, right? And usually they were big, so it should keep him busy for a few day's.

He was right...

To a degree.

While the place did have plenty of books, there was a lack of history of the other kingdoms. There were some general knowledge of the allied nations, but it didn't go into much depth, and Asura was able to finish the books within a couple of days.

Althought he did find some...interesting books.

Asura was surprised that a human was able to gather seven of his comrades, and if his adventure book is accurate, then the beast was impressed by the man. Sinbad seemed to be a very charismatic being, drawing people in to establish a dream.

It reminded him a bit of Solomon.

But then he came across two other book's...

'Womanizer of The Seven Seas' and 'Lady Killer of The Seven Seas'.

….

Safe to say, a great portion of his respect for the man died there.

After reading it, he was not surprised that he had gotten Focalor to choose him as his king.

"Of course the two womanizers would get along with one another." He sighed, rubbing his face in slight irritation at having to deal with another lady's man. "At least Leraje isn't here." He muttered, remembering the girls temper and destructive crying whenever Focalor flirted with another female.

He prayed to Solomon that those two never met near a human settlement.

Asura was contemplating going out into the sea to fight one of the dangerous monsters that lurked there out of boredom, before a single black rukh floated in front of him. "Oh?" he hummed, holding a single finger out for the rukh to land on. He watched what it showed him, a pleased smiled spreading across his face as he saw Judal sending waves of malice towards Arba and her ilk. "Hm, it seems whatever Aladdin did seems to have turned the young magi against them." he leaned in close to the rukh, "Hello young one, I am curious to know what it was that My Little King has shown you to make you so troubled. Should you wish to talk then just send this one back with a message." he said, before letting the rukh flutter off to it's target.

"Asura."

Said Fanalis hummed in response the next day, pushing down onto Runic's back to stretch him out, while absentmindedly waving his staff and sending heat magic at Rumal to dodge. He glanced over and saw that it was the young female Fanalis, "Ah, Hello Morgiana, what brings you here?" he glanced at the sky, "You're here early."

She nodded, smiling slightly, "Masrur-nii said I could have the rest of the day off. He didn't seem to be doing so well." She informed. At the questioning look, Morgiana shrugged her shoulders, "He kept shuddering and blushing, and he seemed to get dizzy when he breathed through his nose..." her brows furrowed as she looked to the side in thought. Missing the sudden stillness of the the elder Fanalis. "I think he is coming down with a fever."

Asura licked his lips.

He had forgotten that there was another Fanalis of age around...

"Ah, don't worry about it...It's...something Fanalis go though once they're of age..." Asura assured, he straightened up and let Runic go. "Right. Training is canceled. And until I say otherwise, it will stay canceled."

The twins blinked at him, wondering if he was tricking them.

It wouldn't have been the first time.

Asura raised a brow at them, "Well? Run along before I change my mind."

"Let's go!"

"Thanks Asura-nii!"

The twins had quickly grabbed Morgiana and pulled her along. They did not want to waste the rare opportunity of down time.

Once Asura was alone, he lifted his hand to cover the lower half of his face. His body was aching for release and pleasure, and hearing about another Fanalis in heat that was in arms reach was making his control go to shit. "Dammit." He grumbled as he started to make his way inside and towards his room. He shuttered as another wave of want went through his body, making him stagger slightly, and Asura grit his teeth. "I need to cool off."

The fanalis swerved left, intent on going to the ocean on the far side of the island to get his head straight.

It was a shame that he wasn't the only one thinking the same thing at the moment.

Why is it so hard this year? Masrur thought. His cheeks were flushed, eye's slightly glazed over, and he knew he was getting hard as he walked towards the ocean. He silently thanked his decision on wearing a looser tunic that day.

"I bet its because Asura's here." He huffed out, annoyed that the ancient really was the problem. It didn't help that Masrur could smell the other all over the halls, the scent of spices, fire, magic, and the earth invading his nose.

He groaned.

"...Pathetic." He mumbled as he quickly scaled a building and decided to jump across the roofs to get to his destination faster.

He had tried to take care of the urge by taking a bed partner- oh how he tried- but humans couldn't keep up with his demand. He had far too much stamina for them, and having to stop and wait to find another partner was maddening to the point where he tried to ignored the urge instead. It had worked for a couple of hours or so by focusing his attention on training Morgiana. Then it suddenly, out of nowhere, came back with a vengeance.

He did not want to explain what was going on to his sister-figure.

Masrur looked relieved at the sounds of the waves becoming louder, and once he reached the sand he quickly stripped of his clothes and jumped in.

He groaned as the water gave him some relief, the cool water feeling pleasant on his heated skin-

There was movement in the behind him before he heard someone break through the surface.

"...Hm?"

That voice sent sparks down Masrur's spine. He slowly turned his head to look behind him, and saw Asura standing a few feet away from himself in the water.

There was an intense look in the others eye's.

"...Oh Solomon, you utter asshole." Asura muttered, eye's roaming down Masrur's body. Which wasn't hard as they were in the shallow end, the water only going to just shy of their hips.

Masrur gulped.

Asura could have sworn he heard Solomon laughing. Oh go ahead and laugh all you want My King, because I can't wait to see you explain to Astaroth why you thought this was a good idea. He thought viciously while taking a step towards the other fanalis.

The laughter choked off into a terrified squeak.
