Draco Malfoy should have told them not to hurt her. He shouldn't have left her alone. He should have protected her. But he didn't. So there she was, laying on one of the tables in the Great Hall, the light slowly fading out of her eyes. Draco knelt beside her, clutching her hand for dear life. As if maybe if he squeezed hard enough she would be okay. But he knew it didn't work like that. He'd lost her. And he was sure it was all his fault.

"Draco." She managed to croak out, seeing the tears streaming desperately falling down his face. He looked up at her, sobbing when he saw that it was clear in her eye the pain she was feeling. Draco climbed onto the table next to her and carefully wrapped his arms around her. "Don't cry Draco." She said, looking down at him.

"I can't loose you." He sobbed, "Don't leave me."

The girl smiled at him, "I'll never leave you, Draco. I would never."

Harry, Ron, and Hermione watched as their best friend died on the table. As much as they wanted to talk to her one last time, they knew Draco needed to have those moments will her ten times more. She was the only light in his life. So, before their very eyes, they saw Draco look up at her and let out a scream.

Stephanie Lawrence died during the Battle At Hogwarts. The cause of death was blood loss due to a head injury. She got the injury from being pushed into the wall by the Expeliarmus spell. After her death, the Lawrence's accepted Draco as a part of their family, seeing how much her death hurt him. Stephanie's funeral was the only one Draco openly attended. Stephanie Lawrence died at the age of seventeen. The day after her funeral, Draco Malfoy reserved the spot next to her in the cemetery so they truly could be together forever.
