A/N: Hey guys! Here it is, the epilogue. It's over twice the length of a normal chapter because I really wanted to wrap everything up.
BTW: A CS student is a Community Service student, they are like Highschool TAs.
Guys, this has been the longest and probably the best thing that have ever written. I can't believe I actually did this and I can't believe so many of you read it. I am more than grateful, thank you all so much.
Please keep favouriting and reviewing, and check out all my other stories on my profile!

Five Months Later:
Clary POV
"Hold still Jace." Clary ordered. She was supposed to paint someone for her art class and she had made the mistake of picking Jace. Actually, she hadn't actually picked Jace per say; she had mentioned the project to him and he had insisted that he be her subject. She had agreed, because she did like drawing Jace, but the painting was supposed to be posed, and stylized, and Jace was terrible at sitting still. Like now for instance, she was trying to draw him, but he kept trying to flirt and make out with her. The worst part was that flirting and making out were both annoyingly tempting options for Clary as well.
She had actually moved them out of Jace's bedroom and into one of the Lightwood family's living rooms (she still couldn't quite get over the fact that she was dating a guy with multiple living rooms) to try to discourage him from trying anything. Unfortunately, the fact that they were in a public place didn't seem to bother Jace at all.
When Magnus walked into the room, it was an honest relief; Clary's self control had been faltering. Magnus had been going to NYU for the past few months, and since he and Alec were no longer going to the same school, they had been spending even more time together outside of class. Almost any time that Alec came home, Magnus would arrive too. He swept into the room wearing tight red alligator skin pants and a tight black shirt that had Blink if you want me written on it in sequins. "Hello Clary, Blondie, have you seen Alexander?" Asked Magnus, "We're going on a date."
Then he noticed Clary's drawing and rushed over to look at it. Clary blushed; she didn't like people looking at her art before it was finished. "Hm." Said Magnus, "It's very good, but if you want it to be realistic, you have to draw him more like an arrogant prick. Here he looks almost angelic, which must be a mistake."
"I am angelic." Jace informed him, "You're just jealous of my incredible good looks." Magnus scoffed, "Whatever helps you get up in the morning hon." He said. Jace scowled, "Alexander is upstairs helping Max with his homework." He drawled, "Why don't you go find him?"
Max POV
Max sat at the dinner table, staring at the blank piece of paper in front of him, "I don't know what to write." He complained. Alec, who was sitting next to him, tilted his head. "What's the assignment exactly?" He asked. "I'm supposed to write an interesting character, based on someone we know in real life." Said Max. Alec rested his elbows on the table and rested his head on his hands. "Did the teacher give you any tips?" Max nodded, "She told us that we should pick somebody in our family, but everyone in my family is really boring."
Alec laughed, "Jace and Izzy will be offended by that." He warned. Max just shrugged, "Alec this is important! I'm a grade five now; next year I'm going to be in Middle School, I can't be a slacker my whole life like Isabelle and Jace!" Alec raised his eyebrows, "Did mom and dad tell you that?" Max nodded. Alec sighed, "Look. Mom and dad are just sort of uptight. Like you said; they're boring. But you're interesting Max. Think of all those manga comics and fantasy books you read. Take ideas from those." Max rolled his eyes, "Alec, I don't know any manga characters in real life." He really wasn't being very helpful at all. Alec thought to himself. Apparently he was even paying attention anymore; Max's brother was looking over his shoulder, his eyes lit up. Then Max turned around, to see what Alec was looking at, and his eyes lit up too.
Standing in the doorway of the dining was Magnus Bane, looking bright and sparkly as ever. "Manga!" Exclaimed Max. "Umm, actually my name is Magnus." He corrected with a smirk. Max giggled, "No, I mean you're like a real life manga character."
"Oh. Yes you have said that before." Said Magnus. Max found himself growing more and more excited, "So I need to write a story for English class, and Alec said that I should write a story like one of my books. I said I didn't know any Manga characters in real life. But that's not true; I know you."
"You want to write a story about me?" Asked Magnus, looking thrilled. Max nodded. "Alright," Magnus agreed, "But only if you describe me as 'sexy as hell'."
"Magnus." Scolded Alec, "Max, don't write that. But I do think it's a good idea to write a story about Magnus."
"I'm going to make him an all powerful warlock, who fights demons. Oh! I can call it The Bane Chronicles!" Said Max, the story was running through his head already. Magnus laughed, "Well, looks like you've got it all figured out Max-y. Me and Alec will just be leaving you to it."
"Okay, bye." Said Max casually, waving them away with one hand as he eagerly started writing.
Jace POV
"OK, I think I'm finally done." Clary decided. Jace sighed in relief, "Finally." He growled. He moved closer to Clary and wrapped his arms around her. "You know, I don't know how I let you persuade me to do that."
"You wanted to do it-You asked me!" Clary sputtered indignantly. Jace smirked, "Either way, I think I deserve a reward, for being such a good model."
"You were a terrible model." Said Clary. "Then you deserve a reward for putting up with me." Said Jace, kissing her neck.
Clary made a noise of protestation but sank into his him anyways. Jace smiled against her neck. The smile was genuine, which only seemed to happen around Clary. He loved being around her. If Jace was being honest, he had actually enjoyed sitting for the painting. He adored the way that Clary's face became so serious when she was concentrating, becoming completely engrossed in her work, then how it changed to exasperation when Jace was annoying her. But beneath that annoyance Jace knew that there was the same underlying love and want that they both always felt when they were together. He trusted Clary's feelings for him in a way that he had never trusted anyone before.
However, just as he was finally making progress with his irritatingly stubborn girlfriend (he privately loved the fact that she was stubborn, which made it almost more frustrating), Alec and Magnus walked in. "Eww. Can't you do this in private?" Alec asked, disgusted. Clary broke away from Jace immediately, and he felt her absence acutely. "It was private, until you two barged in." He pointed out. "We didn't barge in. The door was open. This is a common room." Alec told him, rolling his eyes. Jace respectively ignored that argument. "Weren't you two supposed to be going on a date, or something?" He asked. "Yes, we were just leaving. Go back to your dirtiness." Said Magnus, pulling Alec towards the door.
Jace breathed a sigh of relied; finally.
"Magnus!" Called Izzy, "Wait up!" Jace groaned. It didn't look like they would actually be leaving for some time soon, not if Izzy wanted to talk to them. "Come on." He told Clary, "Let's go to my room."
"Good idea." Said Alec. Jace flipped him the bird. But then they shared a grin. "Bye guys." Called Clary as she and Jace raced up to his room and fell into each other's arms. "Yup." Thought Jace, "I am definitely in love."
Izzy POV
Gay men were generally portrayed on TV as chic, fashion loving, flamboyant, and fabulous. So when Isabelle had found out that one of her brothers was gay, she had been ecstatic. But she had soon realised that Alec being gay didn't make him any more, well, gay. But now Alec was dating one of the most chic, fashion loving, flamboyant, fabulous, and all in all stereotypically homosexual people that Isabelle had ever met; Magnus Bane. He was even a fashion major at NYU.
And Izzy had been taking full advantage of that fact.
Every time Magnus came over to the Lightwood house Izzy would corner him, asking about his classes, and how school was going. Both of them knew it was a mildly passive aggressive way for her to ask to see his designs. He didn't mind that at all though. Izzy loved Magnus's designs, and Magnus loved to show his work to people who appreciated it. It was something that Alec couldn't really do properly. Also, Isabelle had a models body, she knew it and the world knew it. So when Magnus had to actually make clothing he would often make in her size and she would pose for photos. It was a dream come true for both of them. They had bonded over fashion in a way that neither of their boyfriends even began to understand.
Magnus didn't pretend to answer about his school; he just reached into his shoulder bag and pulled out a folder full of paper. Isabelle grabbed it eagerly. "Please put any comments on sticky notes." Magnus instructed her, "And you can give it to Alec when you're done so that he can return it to me." Izzy nodded, already flipping through the pages, staring at the intricate designs. Alec and Magnus left the room, but Izzy didn't really care, she had what she wanted.
However, Isabelle wasn't going to be looking at the drawings just yet. It was December second, which was the same day that she and Simon had first started dating. It had been casual, at that point, but it had quickly escalated. Now Simon was actually her boyfriend, and they were celebrating their first year anniversary. Isabelle had never celebrated a big anniversary before and neither had Simon, so deciding what they were going to do. Eventually they had decided to go casual.
As much as Izzy liked dressing up, what she loved (yes, loved, Isabelle loved Simon, she just hadn't told him yet) about Simon was that she was able to relax with him. Once she had told Simon that she wanted their celebration to be casual his face had lit up and he had told her he would take care of it. Isabelle didn't quite know what that meant, but she trusted him.
Turned out her trust paid off. Four hours later she was sitting- well, lounging- in the Lewis's basement on some pillows and a blanket that Simon had laid out. He had made a picnic, even snatching some champagne from his parents. It wasn't as fancy as the kind that the Lightwood's always bought, but in some ways that made the experience more real. Simon had gotten a bunch of old movies on DVDs, and they had been alternating and watching them and eating, and making out, for the past two hours. Right now they were watching City Lights, which was one of the most adorable movies that Izzy had ever seen. She was leaning on Simon's chest and he was playing with her hair, making funny, dorky, comments, every few minutes. It was perfect. "Thank you for this, Simon." She said. "I love you." He replied.
"I love you too." Said Isabelle.
Tessa POV
Tessa watched with fascination as Jem's body moved to the rhythm of his music. His eyes were closed and his face was focused, seat was starting to seep through his shirt. Tessa had never been a musician, or even a particularly avid music fan, but whenever Jem started to play, she became entranced. She could see his soul in the music, and it was beautiful. Sometimes, when she was having trouble getting inspiration for a piece of writing for school or for the literary magazine that she was writing, she would just lie there listening to him play and words would come to her.
It had been three months since she and Jem had left Will in Wales, and they had been dating for eight weeks. It had taken a while for them to get used to being without him, but they had quickly realised that it was easier to deal with being apart from Will when they were together. They still talked to Will, on the phone, on Facebook and even through snail mail, but they still missed being around him. So yo compensate, they spent as much time with each other as possible.
Tessa had moved in with Magnus, since they were both going to NYU, and Jem had moved in with three other roommates who were also going to Julliard. Their names were Jeremy, Elias, and Zack and they were pretty nice, but Jem and Tessa preferred to stay at her home. Not only did fewer people live there, but they had both knew Magnus better, his apartment was much nicer than a dorm, and he was almost always out with Alec, so they often got the place to themselves. Jem had actually started coming straight from class to Tessa and Magnus's, without even going home first, and he often spent the night (which Tessa particularly enjoyed).
Tonight was going to be one of those nights, but since they were both in full time university and they couldn't spend all of their time going on dates, having sex, and talking to Will, they had started doing their schoolwork together. Jem would rehearse, or work on music theory and Tessa would do all the reading and writing that she had to do. They had learned that just being together could brighten their day, that they could comfort each other with just a word or a touch, and being able to talk and laugh together made tedious assignments go faster.
Right now Jem was practising a complicated piece on his violin, and Tessa was trying to write a paper on Schopenhauer. She had quickly decided that Schopenhauer seemed like a creepy old douche bag. He came onto young women, had philosophical views that were completely negated by LGBTQs, and his only friends seemed to be a bunch of French poodles. Schopenhauer was supposed to have been a "love expert", but Tessa, though she was only eighteen, felt like she knew a hundred times more about romance then he ever had. Already she had had two great loves in her life, where most people only had one, if they were lucky.
She could not see herself everstopping loving Jem or Will. She adored them, and that was the end of it.
Alec POV
When Alec and Magnus got to Magnus's apartment they were greeted by the swelling sound of violin music. Alec smiled, he liked Jem and his music was beautiful.
He had started getting used to having Tessa and Jem around when he was at Magnus's apartment. It had actually been helping him become less socially awkward. Right now, Tessa was lounging on the couch and Jem was standing near it, absorbed in playing a piece of music. His left hand was flying across the strings and his right hand was moving the bow back at the forth with a beautiful strength.
Tessa spotted the two boys and grinned. "Hi guys."
"Hey Tess." Said Magnus, walking around Alec and heading towards his bedroom, "We're going on a date." He announced proudly, as if they hadn't done it a thousand times. "Good for you." Replied Jem, who had stopped playing. Alec couldn't really tell if he was being sarcastic or not, Jem had a great deadpan. "Do you want us to clear out?" Asked Tessa, "Because we could go to Jems' place for the night."
"That's alright." Said Alec, at the same time that Magnus said, "Could you Tessa? Thanks." Alec shot his boyfriend a look, "Magnus we can't just ask them to leave."
"We're not asking them, they volunteered."
"It's still rude!" Alec argued. Tessa rolled her eyes, "You two have this argument every time you want to have sex." She said. "You underestimate the amount of sex we have, we only have this conversation when we want to have sex and you two are in the way." Magnus informed her. "Magnus!" Cried Alec, scandalised. "Don't worry Alec, we'll be out of here by the time that you get back from your date." Said Tessa with finality. Alec realised that, as usual, arguing with here would be pointless. Magnus smiled triumphantly.
"We can leave in just a second, as soon as I change my clothes." Magnus announced. "What's wrong with what you're wearing now?" Asked Alec. "Darling, I've been wearing this outfit since this morning, I have to change at least once a day to keep myself looking fresh. You know that."
"I do know that. But it doesn't seem any less crazy to me now then it did when I first met you." Alec replied fondly. Magnus winked at him seductively, "That's crazy in a good way right?" He asked. Alec did find Magnus's eccentric style rather exciting, and more than a little sexy, but he would never admit that, so he just huffed and turned away, flopping down onto the couch with Tessa.
Magnus stepped into his room, Jem went back to playing his violin, Tessa went back to her computer, and Alec took out his phone. He played on it idly until Magnus came back out, which didn't take long (Magnus was an impressively quick changer). He was wearing a new outfit, which was was just as impressive as the last one, but in a slightly different way. He now wore sparkly purple pants, with red combat boots and a red leather jacket. He skipped over to Alec and swung his arm over his shoulders, leading him out the door.
Tonight they were going to Taki's and the same old movie theatre that they had visited on their first date. This wasn't an unusual occurrence for them, in fact they actually did it a lot, but Alec could never get bored with it. Not only was Taki's a great restaurant, and not only were the movies that the theatre showed really good, but Alec could never be tired of going out with Magnus, no matter what they were doing. Their date flew buy, just like all of their dates flew by. Soon they were back in Magnus's apartment, and Alec was suddenly glad that Tessa and Jem weren't there.
Alec groaned as Magnus pulled their bodies closer together, eliminating all space between them. Together they pushed their way into the bedroom and fell onto the bed, gasping for air.
Every once and a while Alec would find himself forgetting that he needed to breath at all, when he was this close to Magnus, air didn't seem to matter so much.
Magnus POV
When Magnus woke up Alec had already gotten up and was getting dressed. He had started keeping clothing at Magnus's house after he had once spilt wine on himself and had to borrow one of Magnus's shirts, which he swore he would never do again (which Magnus found disappointing; Alec looked great in his clothes). "Where are you going?" He wined, sitting up and reaching for his boyfriend. "I have to go to school." Alec told him, "You can go back to sleep if you want." Magnus looked at him sleepily; Alec was shirtless and he stretched his arms over his head as he yawned.
That settled it for Magnus; he was going to spend as much time with those abs as he could. He slid to the foot of the bed and sat up, wrapping his arms around Alec's torso and pressing his face into his bare skin. "I could drive you." He suggested, kissing a line up Alec's back. Alec groaned and pulled away, quickly yanking a shirt over his head, "Magnus! I have to get ready!" He said, pouting a little as he moved to the bathroom. "But I can still drive you right?" Magnus called. "Yes!" Came the reply. Magnus grinned.
Magnus had been back to the Institute a couple of times since he had graduated, mostly to see Alec. He had visited a couple classrooms, but apart from his art teachers, none of the Nephilim faculty had really liked him. Few of them had been accepting of the fact that he was an openly bisexual kid from Cassandra Clare Preparatory and even fewer had actually thought he was a good student.
The Nephilim Institute campus was nowhere as large as the one at NYU, but somehow it still managed to be more imposing, especially on an overcast winter day. "It looks like a mansion from a horror movie." Magnus observed. Alec turned to him, his mouth quirking up slightly at the corners, "You went to school here for a year and you didn't notice that? After Max saw Psycho for the first time, he refused to come with my parents to the school to pick us up for like two months. The Institute is probably the creepiest building in New York, besides maybe the Hotel Dumont." Magnus laughed, "Well if this building is so creepy, maybe you shouldn't go to school here, maybe you should take the day off and hang out with me." He said.
Alec rolled his eyes, "I have to stop letting you drive me to school, one of these days you're going to actually convince me to skip."
"Is that a bad thing?" Asked Magnus, leaning in to kiss him. "Yes. It's a very bad thing." Whispered Alec, but he gave in and kissed Magnus anyways. Magnus's fingers found Alec's waistband and pulled him so that he fell into his lap. Alec laughed and blushed slightly. He pushed himself off of him and grabbed his bag, "OK, I really have to go now." Magnus sighed, "Fine." Alec pecked him lightly on the lips. "I'll see you later." He said, and walked towards the Institute.
As he watched his boyfriend leave, Magnus felt reluctant to drive away. His first class didn't start until 12, so he decided to run up to Alec and walk with him. It was hard to run quickly in tight pants but he managed it. He caught up with Alec and threw his arms around his shoulders. "Hey." He said. "Magnus?" Alec seemed surprise. "Yes. I'm walking you to class. What do you have first?"
"I'm actually the CS student for Madame Verlac."
"Awww! So you'll be in the class where we met!" Magnus exclaimed. Alec smiled, "When we first met you terrified me." He told him. "When we first met you terrified me." Said Magnus. "Really?" Asked Alec. "No. I thought you were adorable." He admitted. Alec shook his head in disbelief, "You're an asshole."
"But you love me." Magnus reminded him. "Yeah, I do love you." Alec mused as they reached the French classroom. "So this it." Said Magnus.
"Yup, this is it."
"If you meet any cute boys in there, you have to promise to stay away from them."
"Will do. I'll see you tonight."
"See you"
Magnus and Alec parted at the same doorway that Alec had been standing in the day they had met. It was amazing how much of a difference a year could make. When the Principal of C.C. Prep had announced the merge with the Nephilim Institute all those months ago, Magnus had been the opposite of excited. But now, thinking back, thinking about Alexander, Magnus realised that the merge of those two schools had been the best thing that had ever happened to him.
The End
