Greetings my wondrous readers. You've come this far and so I thank you. You will have noticed my recent lack of activity, my lack of any posts. Well, while I make no guarantees about anything, I hope to make New Years my greatest celebration. I hope that by then I will have my rewrite of The Price of Your Betrayal, as well as an update to Insanity with the previous chapters being changed but mostly just updated as well as new chapters to it. But that is not all. this is just a thought at the moment, but I hope to have my work with Nightmare of Time continued. Yes, it will be about time. But that won't be all...I have so many great surprises and, at this point, very little lime to enact them. But I only ask for your patience, as I am not finished, and am only just getting started. So keep an eye out in four months my readers. Also, I recommend following me directly rather than just my stories as I will most likely be removing at least Insanity and Nightmare of Time so they can start on a clean slate. I thank you all. Now, so I don't get in trouble for just posting an author's note as a full chapter, I'm going to give you a wonderful little peak into my madness.

Naruto stood in the office, glaring at Hiruzen. He knew they were patronizing him with this garbage. A recon mission? He was already planning on a way to give the team away so he would have the opportunity to kill. It was bad enough that they hadn't even told him where the were going or why. And he had already made his distaste well known. And then he heard the words.

"I take it you don't want to go to Amegakure?" Hiruzen had the faintest smirk at Naruto's quick change. Kakashi had informed him of the blonde's love of the rain and intended to make full use of that.

"Ame," Naruto mumbled. "As in a village in the rain? Do tell, Hiruzen."

"Rumors have been going around that Hanzo the Salamander was killed a couple years ago, yet we are only just now hearing about it. Your mission is to gather information on who took out Hanzo and what their current Political situation is."

Naruto took on a thoughtful expression. "No killing, but plenty of rain. An alright trade off I suppose."

Naruto stood in the rain, smirking up at the sky as the figures surrounded him. His scythes formed in his hands, thirsting for blood. He began to laugh maniacally. "Come. Come for your death so I might please mine!"

His neck popped as he jerked his gaze towards the two who were clearly the leaders if their lack of uniformity was anything to judge by. One holding a three bladed scythe and the other with black tendrils rippling his arms.

"Step to me motherfucker," Naruto said.

The man with the scythe grinned. "With pleasure. Lord Jashin hasn't been given any blood lately."

Naruto braced, his scythes instantly locked with the Jashinist. "Then how about we give him some of yours?" He sent the man's scythe to the side before grabbing his neck, producing a violent crunch.

The Jashinist just smirked. "That all you got?"

"If you were not trying to kill me, I would say you are my kind of guy, whoever the fuck you are. But as you are trying to kill me, I must return the favor, for Death, the only constant."

Naruto's hand turned black, lines embedding into the Jashinist, rotting his flesh and turning it black.

"What are you doing to me?" The man let out a horrifying scream.

"My touch is black and poisonous. And that rot will flow from the servant of Death unto all who dare to think they are above it!"

He kept walking, getting ever closer to the tower looming in the distance. This was the tower that, to him, had been fabled for a long time. The Hokage tower. He had been lost in thought for a moment, shaking himself out of it once he was close enough. Now it was time to shake the hornet's nest. It was a good thing hornets and bees liked him.

He looked down at his palms and fingertips to make sure the circular shutters in the openings there were not jammed. Once he was satisfied, he looked back up to the tower now only a few dozen feet ahead of him.

The large metal cylinder on his right shoulder moved along with the mechanisms. The small rail it was attached to moved forward before launching an explosive right where the schematics said the Hokage's office would be. It was a small explosive, not able to do much, and with its proximity detonator to keep it from going too far, it would do little more that grab the attention he wanted. Maybe shatter a window or two, but little more.

The explosive hadn't even gone off before the shinobi on the roofs were already in motion. He was happy to oblige them if they wanted a fight, though he himself hadn't wanted to start one other than his 'wakeup call'.

The mechanisms around his right arm moved over his hand while other portions which had already looked out of place coupled together to form a large and heavy drill, the tip of which wasn't even a foot off the ground. He swung the drill, bashing away one of the ANBU that had moved in.

His left hand moved, the shutters opening as he did. There was a sound like an explosion, a blast of wind breaking the sound barrier and firing several of them into a building.

A cloud of insects swarmed around him, trying to encase him. He responded with his left palm becoming honeycombed. He held his hand out, thousands of wasps entering the air and ripping into the swarm around him. It was only seconds before all of the insects were dead, only his wasps still hovering in the air around him.

Each of the shinobi stepped back, rethinking the direct approach.

There was a distorted and gargled voice from within the helmet. "I am not here to fight. Not you."

"Then would you tell me why you have attacked my shinobi?"

The man turned to see a man he had heard much about. It was a pleasure to finally be taking in the appearance of the Sandaime Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. Despite the stature of your typical old man with white hair, there was power and potential just waiting to be unleashed.

Hiruzen was sticking to his official uniform for the moment, the customary red Kage hat and haori over his red kimono. He was holding his pipe up to his lips.

The lights in the helmet turned green. "She told me stories, said you loved that pipe."

The lights dimmed, the upper ports appearing as though fluids inside were being quickly being drained of fluid. Once the lights were gone, the voice was only muffled by the metal.

"They attacked me, lord Hokage. And as for the bomb I sent at your window, if I wanted you dead, you would be. I have fought bigger than you, stared into the abys, and walked back unscathed." There was what sounded like a chuckle. "Mostly."

The drill split into multiple sections, the mechanisms moving back up over his arm and fitting back comfortably. His left hand returned to normal, the shutter closing. The insects dispersed, simply disappearing without any trace. Even he didn't know if they simply dissolved into mistlets of EVE or ADAM, or if they simply flew away to live simple insect lives. Violent and bloodthirsty, but simple.

He finally reached up and grabbed the helmet, twisting it one way and then the other, producing a light scraping, as he unlatched it from the rest of the suit. He lifted it up, revealing the features of his face. The stubble on his chin, the scar from next to the corner of his eye, across his lips, and to his chin, the violet eyes, the whisker marks on his cheeks, and the spiked deep-orange hair.

The man sighed, breathing in the surface air as he hadn't done in a long time. And it tasted different than it had, smelled different than it had. He tucked the helmet under his arm, using the other hand to gesture to the scar.

"Mostly." His voice was monotone, laced with mirth. "Hiruzen Sarutobi. My mother told me so many stories of you, her life in this place. To see the stories of my childhood, the legends of this world, come to life before my eyes. One could say that it's…" He paused to smirk at his own terrible pun. "Enrapturing."

"Who are you?" Hiruzen gave him a hard glare.

The man smirked. "Many years ago, something happened to this village, to this world, that changed everything. A man in a mask came here and ripped the Kyuubi from Kushina Uzumaki's belly. That man called himself Madara Uchiha. And it was him, because of the actions of the Kyuubi, which was responsible for the death of Minato Namikaze, Kushina Uzumaki, and their son."

Hiruzen had the man pinned against a wall the moment he finished speaking. "Who are you and how do you know these things. Most of the details of that night were never disclosed."

"Because I was there. Only one person died that night, not three. Before the Bijuu Dama consumed him and a substantial portion of the forests of Konoha, he used his signature Hiraishin to send Kushina as far away as possible. His son was sent there as well. However, they were clearly sent much farther than he had intended, unless the intent actually was to put them at the bottom of the ocean."

Hiruzen's face became saddened. "We never found the bodies. We hoped they might be alive, but Kushina and the boy really are dead."

"Haven't you been listening old man? Only one person died that night. Kushina Usumaki and her child survived. Out of all the odds, all the constants and variables, they survived. But I have still not answered your main questions. How do I know these things? Who am I?"

He smirked as the entire set of armor he wore disappeared. Revealed was his toned and muscled torso, his lower half covered in black cargo pants. He was covered in sealing arrays, but none of the visible ones touching his lower belly. He also had two tattoos, one on each wrist. On the left was a black chain with the stylized letters 'A SLAVE OBEYS'. And on the right, a broken chain and the letters 'A MAN CHOOSES'.

He placed a hand on his belly, channeling chakra into that area. A seal appeared, taking up the rest of the uncovered area with the uzumaki swirl in the center and a jagged line down the center. The entire side of the seal on the right of that jagged line was faded. "I am the product of that night, told the stories as they could be known from Kushina. I am the container of the Kyuubi no Kitsune, chosen to save this village by my father. I am the child of Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze. I am Naruto Namikaze, barer of more titles and names than you have fingers and toes. But I have come back, not for you or the stories or this village. I have come back for my mother."

As the dust settled, the woman gasped seeing the hair flowing in the wind, seeing a face that hadn't been seen in twenty years. "Kichigai?"

I hope you all enjoy this and take to hear that I will be back. And hopefully I will finally have a beta double checking my works so that all of you have a better quality of things. Anyways, enjoy, all of you. Oh, and yes, for that last preview, if I make anything out of it or not, either way, yes, I am a sadistic person.
