Karai never thought that being mutated would feel like you're floating in the darkest depths of space. One minute she was falling, screaming in horror as Leonardo stared down at her in defeat; the next...she was gone. Poof.

It was as though she wasn't herself, she was elsewhere watching someone else who looked like her walk around spitting poison on people like a llama on PCP. It wasn't fair. How could this have happened?

Now her life is merely a movie where she could only watch. When she tried to scream, her body would only hiss. When she tried to move her limbs, her body barely flinched.

All she had now were her memories to keep her company and her last memory to haunt her. The only relief she seemed to get was when her body slept. Only then did she feel closer to having control, closer to being the girl she was before she decided to pull her stupid stunt.

But with time, nothing will hold her back. Karai wasn't sure when or how, but she vowed she would gain her body back, mutated or not. If she could break from the clutches of Shredder and out of her cell, then she knew she could take back the body that was rightfully hers.

Day by day she would struggle with her invisible strains until she could taste the salty air that came from the bay, see the city lights for herself, and feel the cold concrete below her. Not through a screen, but through her own senses.

She vowed that she would work until either Donatello could make a retro-mutagen for her, or until she could conquer this body herself. But she wasn't going to wait around like a pretty princess if she could help it.

One day, she knew she would rise again. She would break through her barriers and go through a metamorphosis that would shake her enemies to the bone. And when she did, she knew she would blaze more bright and powerful than ever before with as much potential as the flames from the rising sun.
