"We won't." Edward said. "It's impossible, Jacob is fighting a battle that's already lost." He said reassuringly and even though I knew that. Even though I knew there was no way Jacob was going to take Seth, just the idea was enough to bring me to the floor sobbing with Edward cradling me whispering reassuring words.

Chapter 26-Bury a Friend

BPOV

I was glad to be back home. My real home. Though I was happy to see Charlie and Sue I was glad to be back at my real home, my new home with Edward and Seth.

It had been a couple of weeks since Jacob has issued his threat and I hadn't heard anything from him but it was like a constant cloud over my head wondering when it was going to rain. I was exhausted. Even though Edward had reassured me so many times I was physically and emotionally exhausted.

Edward had reassured me. I knew that he was probably right and everything was going to be okay but I was exhausted just thinking about it. The plane ride was exhausting, thinking about going to court against Jacob was exhausting.

"Hey, you feeling any better?" Edward asked already dressed for work while I was still lounging in bed. Edward caressed my cheek.

"I don't know what's wrong." I sighed and he kissed my forehead.

"You don't seem warm," he commented looking at me with a furrow in between his brows.

"Thank you Dr. Cullen." I smirked and his eyes darkened with lust and suddenly my body wasn't so exhausted anymore but then I remember we had work.

"What?" he asked.

"You have work, I have work." I groaned.

"You don't have to go in. Mike can find a new assistant."

"He's really useless by himself." I snorted getting up and padding towards the closet.

Edward didn't say anything as I got ready but I could feel his eyes on every move that I made and it was so hard not to turn around and straddle him, undoing all the work I did to get ready just to undress and ride him until we were both screaming.

"Bella?" he called and I blinked at him.

"Hmm?"

"What are you thinking about?" he asked standing up with a flicker in his eyes that let me know he already had an idea.

"No, way. We're going to be late…" I backed up towards the closet but everything was screaming to dive into his arms but I wanted to be reliable I knew what they said about me at the office the assumptions they made, the rumors that he'd soon drop me for someone better. Started by Jessica no doubt.

"What if we call in sick, you threw up this morning," he said concerned.

"And I'm fine now, must have been the dinner from last night." I said being completely honest I felt fine. Edward looked at me for a moment before brushing his hand against my cheek. I smiled at him kissing him.

Edward groaned as I brushed against him before turning back to my closet and picking out an outfit. By the time I was ready Edward and Seth were finishing up their breakfast. I was afraid of picking up something just to throw it up later so I just refilled my water bottle for the day.

Then we pilled into Edward's SUV and drove to the office. We dropped Seth off at daycare and with one more lingering kiss I went to my office to prepare for the day. A couple of co-workers seemed to whisper to each other but I still shook my head ignoring their looks. I was too tired to really care at this point. I could feel my eyes shutting as I was typing up an e-mail for Mike. Then my phone rang and I answered it without looking at the extension.

"Hey Bella, can you come up?" Angela asked. I continued to type holding the phone to my shoulder and my ear.

"I'm almost done with this e-mail for Mike." I replied checking back over it for any issues.

"He can't even e-mail by himself." Angela muttered to herself. Then I stopped and paid attention to what she was saying.

"What do you need Ang?" I asked focusing on her.

"Edward needs you upstairs." she replied. I thought back to our morning did he say something that I missed. I felt like my head was all over the place.

"Did he say what for?" I asked.

"Nope, there's some guy in there with him right now. I don't remember him." Angela commented.

"Be right there." I said sending Mike's e-mail and then pushing away from my desk. I felt a little dizzy so I propped myself up against the desk before I regained my senses and walked to the private elevator. I typed in the passcode which was my birthday and I smiled as the elevator's door opened and Edward's smiling face was the first thing I saw.

Edward held his hand open for him. It was the first time all morning I felt completely right. I sighed as we touched and he brought me back towards his office. I leaned against him not realizing how much I missed him.

"How was your morning?" he asked.

"Better now." I responded and he smirked at me. Angela winked as we passed by and he brought me into his office.

A Black man was standing there looking out the window and when he heard the door he turned around and smiled at me.

"You must be Isabella Swan." he said offering me his hand.

"You can just call me Bella." I responded shaking his hand.

" Jenkins." he smiled.

I looked at Edward in confusion.

"This is my lawyer I had him look at childcare laws to see if anything Jacob said could come true." Edward said. I looked at the man in front of me.

"Yes. I reviewed the files and I think I have a good understanding of the case. I can tell you plainly that Mr. Black won't get Seth and no reasonable judge would just hand Seth over even for temporary custody after this timeline of events. And after he signed away his rights already." Jenkins should his head.

"Jenkins sent a letter to Jacob indicating those things as well as showing him that bothering you would lead to me putting my full power making it a less than a pleasant experience." Edward said. I just nodded overcome with too many emotions to really even begin to process them. I felt tears at the corner of my eye and Edward's hands came up to frame my face.

"What's wrong?" he asked me urgently.

"I'm just happy." I shook my head. Edward nodded at me and then he looked towards Jenkins who left paperwork on Edward's desk before giving me a small smile and heading out.

I was wondering if it could be true if I was finally free of Jacob. If I was really going to be able to live my life. I wasn't sure but looking at Edward in that moment I felt like anything is possible. I didn't like the look in his eyes the last time I saw him. I was scared for the life I was creating with Edward, and Seth.

"You wanna take the rest of the day?" Edward asked me looking at me through my eyes. It was like I could feel his gaze settle on every part of me.

"I'm okay. Do you really think it's over?" I asked hesitantly.

Edward smiled at me still holding my face between his hands like I was made out of breakable glass.

"I have a lot of money. We have a lot of money, and we're fortunate enough to be able to use it." Edward shrugged. "He has no leg to stand on."

"I trust you." I trust him with my life, and with Seth's. Edward leaned down and kissed me softly. I felt my blood rush quickly and I intertwined my hands in his hair and brought him harder against me.

I felt every line of his body against mine and my thighs tightened in response. Edward ran his hands up my thigh and I let out a moan. Edward twirled me around and pushed me onto his desk and I felt his hands caress my thighs lightly before he crawled them up my legs teasing the beginning of my underwear.

I was way too impatient so I grabbed his hand and stuck it inside my underwear moaning as his fingers dived into me.

"God you're already wet." he growled on the side of my neck continuing to alight a fire inside of me that I knew would burn throughout my whole body. I started kissing everywhere I could reach and I knew it still wasn't enough. It was never going to be enough.

Edward thrust his fingers into me, quickly I bit my lip to stop from screaming out. Then Edward thrust another finger into me his mouth met mine swallowing my moans. I reached out and unbuckled his pants before grabbing him through his boxer briefs that I had seen this morning. Edward became hard under my hands and I finally had enough. I pushed up my skirt and pulled down his boxers.

Edward's eyebrows met mine in surprise but it didn't hide the way his green eyes darkened as we switched places so he was leaning against the desk and I crawled on top of him before lowering myself onto him. Edward released a throaty moan which made me meet his lips with mine.

I came down on him as hard as I could knowing we didn't have that much time. Edward thrust up to meet mine. One after another. The sweat dripping down out bodies but other than an occasional moan it was silent besides the smack of our bodies meeting each other.

Edward reached down and rubbed my clit and I was gone spasming again and again until I thought my body would go on this pleasure ride forever. I wanted...no needed to watch Edward go through that same experience. I threaded my hands through the back of his neck and bit his ear.

"Come for me." I whispered and he followed his thrusts getting erratic as he emptied into me.

We stayed there for a couple of moments catching our breath. I don't think I've ever come that fast in my life. I moved off of Edward. Edward gently helping me off of him kissing my cheek, then my nose, then a peck on my mouth.
"Wow." I breathed. "I don't know what got into me." I said blinking trying to fix my clothes. I felt Edward nuzzle the side of my face.

"I don't really mind." Edward chuckled in my ear. I looked at the clock knowing that Mike had a meeting soon.

"I have to go." I said kissing him quickly but Edward barricaded his arms around me. I giggled.

"You could stay here. We could do round two." he smirked and I felt my stomach clench at the possibility.

"Rain check after work." I smiled thinking about all the ways we could do it in this office and from Edward's face I think we were on the same wavelength.

"Done." Edward smiled. We met with one kiss which turned into a whole make-out session before I exercised myself from him and blew him a kiss as I walked out of his office. Angela smiled up at me and I was happy to know she didn't know what we were up to. I'll have to ask Edward if his office was soundproof.

I pressed the elevator button and waited for it to come up with Angela cleared her throat.

"Ang?" I turned around to make sure she was alright.

"Your blouse is unbuttoned there." she pointed to a middle button I had buttoned wrong. I felt my whole face flair up and I didn't wait for the elevator I took to the emergency stairs. Closing the door behind me to block Angela's laugh.

I took a deep breath and steadied myself before I walked back to my desk so I didn't look like I had just been fucked. Though I had and it was good. I squeeze my legs together as I neared my floor just thinking about Edward's body under mine. I didn't appreciate it as much as I could have but I was going to later that was for sure.

The door to the floor my office was on opened just as I was about to reach it.

"Hey Bella." Mike said coming into view. I smiled about to walk past me but he stopped me.

"Why are you coming from all the way up there?" he asked perplexed and for some reason it hit me that he didn't know Edward and I were together and because I couldn't take any more of the gossip train I didn't open my mouth about it either.

"Angela needed me for something. But I'm ready to type up your meeting." I said and I was about to walk ahead of him but he stopped me again.

"Listen Bella" he started and I felt my shackles go up. "I like you a lot and I know you like me." he winked and though I'm sure he thought it was sexy, but it wasn't.

"Mike…" I trailed off because I didn't want to upset him because he could make my job here uncomfortable or more uncomfortable than it was.

"Come on Bella." he said stepping towards me and I took a step back.

"I'm seeing someone." I said elusive of the specifics.

"Yeah but I work at a fortune 500 company can your little boyfriend tell you that." he said and I hesitated to tell him no but only because he owned said company but I really didn't want to add gas to the flame.

"Bella." his voice dropped and I felt my body tingle from disgust. I had no where to go and so I just put my hands up but Mike grabbed on to them as if I was giving them to him.

"Mike." I shook my head. "Please stop." I said hoping I hadn't lost my job but at the same time I was thinking about just quitting to get away from him at this point.

"I won't stop until I'm done with you." he winked again and came closer. My body automatically took a step back but then suddenly I was falling backwards and as my head slammed against concrete everything suddenly went black.
