Christopher Robin, Winnie The Pooh, and Piglet were all walking through the Hundred Acre Woods together. It was a sunny, slightly breezy day, and the three friends were enjoying each other's company. All of a sudden, Pooh decided to grab onto Christopher Robin and Piglet's hand and paw, respectively. Christopher Robin squeezed Pooh's paw back.

"Um, Christopher Robin..."

"Yes, Pooh?"

"Why did you squeeze my paw after I grabbed your hand?"

"Oh! That's easy to explain! Here, let's sit down while I tell you why I did that," Christopher responded, indicating a log nearby.

The three friends sat down quietly on the log, and then, Christopher Robin cleared his throat.

"Well, when people are friends, like you and I and Piglet, they have a lot of ways to show it."

"S...show?" Piglet asked.

"Yes, Piglet. It's a way to prove that you're friends."

"But...how does one go about 'showing' that they are friends?" Pooh asked.

"Well, there's no right way to do it, but some ways that people show that they're friends with someone are by hanging out with them, taking long walks with them, giving them presents on their birthday and at Christmas time, hugging them, helping them out, and holding their hand."

"Ah! So that's proof that we're friends! We do all of those things!" Piglet said.

"But...what about the hand squeezing?" Pooh asked.

"Well..." Christopher Robin said. "When someone grabs another person's hand, or gives them a hug, they're actually sending a message.

"W-w-what kind of message?" Piglet asked.

"I suppose it's something like, 'I'm your friend, and I love you. Don't let go of me.'"

"What about the squeezing back part?" Pooh Bear asked.

"It's a response to what the message is. I think it would be, 'I'm your friend too, and I love you. I won't let go.'"

Pooh Bear and Piglet weren't quite sure what Christopher Robin was talking about, but they knew it was important. Besides, the basic gist of it was, "Don't let go." and "I won't let go.", so as long as long as they knew that, they were fine with whatever eloquent wording Christopher Robin put it in.

Besides, as long as they were friends, everything was okay.
