AN: Sorry for Spelling and Grammar and for taking four months off

Korra felt like a kite fluttering around in a hurricane. Images flashed around her eyes, distorted and bent as if she were looking at them through a pair of reading glasses prescribed for someone else. Before she knew it her body was thrust forward with her landing harshly on a patch of grass.

Slowly getting off the ground the Avatar scanned her surroundings to see that the world around her was tinted in sepia. She quickly realized that she was on Air Temple Island albeit looking slightly different. Turning herself around Korra froze still as she saw Avatar Aang walking along the grounds with his hands behind his back and a smile plastered on his face. He carried with him an air of leisure and wisdom as he walked past a few acolytes, gently patting them on the shoulder or taking a quick second to chat with them as he continued his walk.

But the Water Tribe girl's heart began to race as she saw Aang stop beside a young boy dressed as one of the acolytes. The boy had been keeping himself busy by sweeping before he stopped as Aang began to talk to him. What frightened Korra was the fact that the boy was the same one as in her previous nightmare.

Korra tried to scream, yell and wave her arms around trying everyway she could to warn and gain Aang's attention but as she could not her them so too were the shadow of the past oblivious to his counterparts out cries.

But what stung Korra's heart the most was the fact that the boy knew Aang, he was smiling and basking in the Avatar's aura as if he were talking to his own grandfather and yet he would ultimately be responsible for the man's death.

The last thing Korra saw as the boy offering his hand to Aang to give him a high five just before pulling it back and sliding it over the side of his dark hair, Aang just laughed at being too slow to high five him in time as Korra felt her body suddenly propelled backwards, as the world around her shifted and changed again.

This time she was in a court room. Looking over to her left she saw Aang again but this time he looked a lot younger. No doubtingly he appeared to be around the same age as Tenzin, or even a few years younger. But upon closer examination she noticed the look on Aang's face, it was panic.

Quickly scanning the room she noticed the rest of the occupants of the courthouse also looked scared and confused with their eyes being the only body part that they were moving. Seeing that whatever it was that was causing everyone's fear and paralyzation was right behind her, Korra began to turn around when she noticed a hidden oddity in the room.

Sitting beside a young woman and elderly man Korra saw a short figure wearing a cloak over their body shifting their head from whatever it was that was behind Korra and back towards the ledger that the person was writing on. From what facial feature the Water Tribe girl could make out from the figure's hooded face she saw that the figure's eyes seemed more curious and observative as if they were studying a plant or an animal for a homework assignment rather than drowning in the fear everyone else succumb to. But what caught Korra's eye the most was that the short person who may have been a child was somehow able to move while everyone else could not.

And once more from the top, Korra was swept away from the courtroom and headed towards a new destination. But this time it was different. She wasn't in a room, courtyard or anywhere that could be described as a place.

She was surrounded in a dark and seemingly infinite limbo. No up or down no source of light yet she could see her own hands in front of her. Starting to feel a sliver of cold sneaking behind her neck she heard something coming from the distance.

"A steady diet Avatar, of hatred and revenge." From the shadows a figure immerged crawling on its hands, dragging its body towards her. Korra for the life of her didn't know what she was seeing. What could only be described as a metallic skeleton bronzed with a series of gears running and turning all over its body which stopped up to the skeleton's spinal cord that swayed side to side flickering a combination of blood and what looked like motor oil. The Water Tribe girl could make out what appeared to be human organs twisted around the monster's ribcage beat and pump the black blood combo through the body as it started to drip out of the skeleton's empty eye sockets and mouth.

Its jaw fell open before it staggeringly reclosed. "Revenge" it said reaching its hand out.

Real World

"Ahhhhh! Wha…..what happened last night?" with the combination of blacked out memories, distorted dreams and the sensation that her head had been split wide open, Avatar Korra used every ounce of strength she had to sit up as she woke up from her plastered induced slumber.

With her eyes still closed Korra used her tongue to root around her mouth finding it to be as dry as a desert as while also being coated with a bitter acidity taste stuck in her throat. She tried to massage her forehead with one hand while using her other to feel around. She felt a cold circular object nearby but she quickly found her hand slipping and slightly submerging her in water.

Slowly opening her eyes the young Water Tribe woman saw that she had been sleeping in a bathroom, her bathroom but more specifically she had been in the tub that was only a few inches away from the toilet, which was what her hand was currently in. Pulling her appendage out and thanking whatever higher being there was that the water didn't appear to be mixed with any bodily fluids Korra bent the water off her hands and tried to use the sides of the tub to lift herself on her feet.

"Korra!" the sound of someone surprising her by yelling out her name caused the Avatar to slip in the untracked porcelain tub and almost get knocked back down if it weren't for the owner of the voice catching her before she did so.

"Not so loud please!" Korra moaned as she wrapped her arm around her face.

"Sorry I thought you you'd still be asleep. You kind of scared us all last night."

Korra lifted her arm off of her face to see that it had been Asami who had come in to check up on her. "Ok two questions what happened last night, why was I sleeping in my bathtub, why am I still in my ceremonial outfit, and are you wearing my parka?"

True to Korra's words Asami was in deed curtly sporting a Water Tribe parka over the dress she wore last night. The young industrialist took Korra by the hand and gently sat the Avatar on the floor of the bathroom with her back against the wall.

Turning around Asami took an empty glass and filled it with water from the nearby sink. She then knelled down beside Korra and handed her the glass. "Well first those were technically four questions but considering the fact that your head must feel like it was split open with a machete I'm going to say that the first two questions actually count as one."

Korra slowly sipped the glass of water and bend some of the water in her hand. She clenched her fist freezing the water into a slab of ice that she pressed to her head. "Thanks for the learning curve, teach. Ohh Now I think I know how my Uncle Amarok feels like in the morning…" Korra shook her head "Ok back on topic will you please tell me about last night?"

"Well after you finished throwing up down Bolin's shirt, you wiped your mouth with my shawl, screamed party time, and then passed out. We carried you back to Air Temple Island and let you sleep the rest of your inebriation off."

Korra set the glass on the tiled floor and slowly shifted herself around. "I don't remember any of that." The Avatar rubbed her ice over her forehead in order to help to make sense of all of this. "Ok but why didn't you guys let me sleep in my bed?"

Asami shifted herself around and sat right next to Korra. "Well after the third time you threw up in your sleep we all thought that might not be the end of it so Naruto thought it be easier for you to sleep next to a toilet. He also thought you sleeping in the tub would make it easier if you ahhh accidently peed yourself." The older girl flashed a cheesy uncomfortable grin as she said the word peed.

Korra panned her head with a long frown that look like it was about to drop to the ground. "That jerk I bet he thought it was so funny if I woke up three inches away from the latrine."

Asami couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "You called the toilet a latrine."

"What!" Korra defended "That's what it's called right? The latrine."

Asami laughed harder. "Who knew the adorable country elephant mouse had such an elegant vocabulary."

Korra couldn't help but crack a smile as well. "Shut up!" she lightly shoved Asami with her free hand but only enough to make the older girl sway a little before she sawed back.

Calming down a bit Asami got up and bent over to the tub. She had grasped what Korra had unknowingly been using as a make shift pillow. "Look Naruto's not all bad he lent you his jacket." She handed the Avatar the orange garment.

Korra held it and ran her fingers over the coat. "Wow, I know how much he loves this jacket I can't believe he trusted me enough not to throw up on it." But she quickly raised her head in inquiry.

"Wait you still haven't told me why you're wearing my parka. Did you need to borrow it after I threw up on your shawl…which I promise I'll get cleaned for you hahahaha." She laughed nervously at the last part.

Asami placed her hand on Korra's shoulder. "First don't worry about my shawl. And second this is actually Naruto's Water Tribe parka. He let me borrow it to sleep in when I spent the night here."

"You and Naruto slept together!?" Korra screeched as her voice shrilled up to a pitch so loud that the sky bison at the stable across the island reacted to the sound.

"What, No! I slept in your bed last night with the bathroom door open so I could look after you!" Asami replied.

Korra looked away as her head started to throb even harder than before and turn a shade so red that it would make a chili pepper look pale. She raised her knees towards her chest and buried her face in her thighs.

Asami moved her hand from Korra's shoulder towards her back rubbing it sympathetically. "Just how much did you have to drink last night?" she asked as she didn't want to conversation to steer towards Naruto or any night time activates the both of them may or hadn't done yet. "The way you were inebriated it's like you drank a whole distillery or something."

"That's what I don't get either the last thing I remember is sitting at the bar and having one drink, one!" Korra with her face still buried rose up her finger to emphasis the number. "After that the rest of the night's pretty much blurry. Did….did I do anything else stupid when I got drunk, you know besides owing Bolin a new shirt and you a new shawl?"

"See for yourself." From the door frame of the bathroom Naruto wearing a fresh pair of orange pants, a black T-shirt, and a white cloak with red flames decaled on the trim threw today's news paper over towards the girls with the periodical landing at Korra's feet.

While closing his eyes and entering what Korra called his fox face, Naruto leaned on the door frame with his arms crossed over his chest. "It looks like you're officially apart of that Tarrlok guy's Task Force. I hope you cleared your calendar for your nights Korry because the whole city expects…expects….." Naruto opened one of his eye to see that Korra and Asami weren't reading the paper like he had expected but were instead looking at him with their cheeks puffed out and eye's watering.

"What is it? What's wrong with you two?"

The two young ladies couldn't hold on any longer as they both bursted into tears and a spasm of hysteria. With Korra holding onto her forehead as her giddiness was causing her more pain but was worth it, and Asami rolling around on the tiled floor or as much as she could roll in the limited space.

"Stop laughing!" Naruto's face turned red as he pointed an accusing finger at the two. "What are you laughing at?!"

Getting off the floor and back in a seated position Asami held her sides as she tried to calm herself down. "I'm sorry sweety it's just….it's just." The mechanic raised her hand and began to wave it as if to say she couldn't go on.

Luckily for the girl Korra had managed to answer for her. "You're wearing a cape! Why are you wearing a cape?"

Naruto looked down at his mantle as it swayed lightly from his body movement. "It's not a cape it's a cloak!" he screamed with an angry fist.

"Well it looks like a cape!" Asami retorted. "And if it looks like a cape, and if it flutters like a cape then…."

"It's a cape!" Korra finished as she reignited the laughter attack that she and Asami had fallen victim to.

Naruto tried his best to drown out their laughter by calmly breathing in and out. "It's not a cape and the only reason I'm wearing it is because I lent you my jacket last night and if you hadn't noticed it gets pretty cold out here. Mostly because Uncle Tenzin's a cheap-o and never pays his heating bills apparently."

Korra massaged her temples again as she tried to lull her morning after headache. "If you're so cold why didn't you just wear my Water Tribe parka since you lent Asami yours?"

Naruto scratched the back of his head "Well I didn't want to root around your dresser in case I might have accidently found your underwear cabinet, and I asked Asami not to look for or borrow it ether because I thought if you notice a few things moved around you probably would have thought it was me doing something pervy…."

"Like last time?"

"Look how many times do I have to tell you I was just helping your mom put away the laundry!"

"If you were just putting away laundry why did I catch you holding and looking at my underwear for five minutes before you knew I was in the room!?"

"Because! I….I was checking to see if your mom managed to get all the stains out!"

"STAINS!"

"Ok time out!" Asami stood up and placed her arms out stopping the Avatar and the Jinchuriki from getting into a brawl in the modest size bathroom.

Naruto and Korra with their eyes locked onto one another both turned their head and huffed at one another pouting in a way that Asami couldn't help but snicker at. The young mechanic leaned over towards Naruto and ran her hands over the ninja's mantle. "So you were did you get this fashion statement from anyway?" she asked casually.

Naruto rubbed the bottom of his nose with his finger, a tic that Asami noticed he did when he was trying to be modest. Most likely he didn't pick up on the small hint of sarcasm when she said fashion statement.

"Well you see I just looked through some of my clothing scrolls and found where I sealed the cape Sakura gave me as a good bye gift before I…"

The ninja's voice trailed off as his face turned a shade of scarlet. He furiously shook his head and defended himself. "Cloak! I meant cloak! Well whatever just look at the stupid newspaper already!" he pointed angrily at said paper.

Giggling Korra leaned over and picked up the paper, she squinted while trying to focus on the words in front of her making them comprehensible. "Damn, I said I'd join the task force last night. I bet Tarrlok had something to do with me getting plastered. He must have gotten me liquored up so I would agree to this."

"Do you really think the Councilman slipped you something that made you behave like that last night?" Asami asked with a dash of skepticism.

"Well why wouldn't he? Tenzin said he was a sketchy guy and that he's been trying to get some political foot hold on Republic City." Korra had one hand pressing her melting ice slab against her forehead and the other on her chin as she started putting the puzzle together.

"Or maybe you just got really shit face because you can't hold down your liqueur. Remember what happened last time?" Naruto replied.

Korra shot her yellow haired friend another irritated look. "Ok number one last time I got drunk it was from a whole bottle of really strong hard booze. Number two all I had was one glass on sparkling wine it should have made me a little bit buzzed not stone cold drunk with an onset black out. And number three we said we were never going to talk about what happened during number one."

Naruto's eyes briefly flashed over to Asami who looked confused on what Korra had been talking about. He quickly shifted his gaze back to Korra. "Ok maybe you're right, but whatever the reason you did say yes to join Tarrlok's squad. More importantly the whole city knows you said yes, which means we better start getting you ready by training right now."

Korra sighed as she tried to close her eyes. "Naruto I don't see how Airbending training is going to…"

"Not that training." Naruto interrupted. "I'm going to teach how to fight against a shinobi."

The Avatar scoffed as she looked at Naruto trying to tell if her friend was joking or not. "Seriously Naruto I know you do all that cloak and dagger stuff because you're afraid of hurting people using you're real power but I'm sure I can handle a few guys in leather clade pajamas."

"Really you think you can handle Amon and his goons?" Naruto asked.

Korra waved him off. "Naruto please. I'm the Avatar I've got three out of the four elements down plus I can Steambend and can go into the Avatar State so….." Korra shrugged with a weak overconfident smile as she continued to rub her forehead.

"Look in the toilet." Naruto said evenly.

Korra and Asami looked at each other in perplexity before looking back towards the ninja. "Why do you want Korra to look in the toilet for Naruto?" Asami asked with Korra nodding along.

"If you think you're ready to take on Amon and his forces, then lean over and look inside the toilet."

Korra sneered as she peeled herself from the wall she was leaning on and scooted over on her knees towards the commode. She looked down at the reflecting waters and smiled cockily at seeing nothing in the water.

"Ok you got me to look into the toilet, ninja boy. What did you think was going to happen that I needed to puke again?" Korra panned her head over towards Naruto who just shook his head at her question.

Sighing Naruto replied. "Korry you still need to look underneath the underneath." Just as he said the words that Kakashi had told him so long ago…..

A Hand rose out of the water, grabbed onto Korra's face and dragged her down into the toilet, giving her a swirly drowning combo!

"KORRA!" Asami screamed as she jumped over and grabbed the Avatar by the waist, trying to pull the bridge between two worlds out as hard as she could.

"Hey, if you keep pulling the Avatar like that you're going to end up breaking her neck." Naruto said in a gravely and darker voice.

Seeing that Korra's arms were still flailing about in distress, a clear sign that she hadn't drown yet.

Asami released her grip on Korra as she did a double take between the girl and Naruto who had his head leaning slightly forward making her unable to see his eyes. "Are you're doing this!?" she demanded.

Naruto shrugged as he said nothing and remained silent.

Asami jumped back over to Naruto and placed her hands on his shoulders "Why!?" she pleaded as the sounds of Korra's gurgles were started to get lower and less consistent.

Leaning his head in order to make eye contact, Asami's expression of worry quickly shifted to one of fear.

Looking back at her wasn't the pair of ocean blue eyes that always touched her heart with joy and warmth, but a pair of red hot iris with silted pupils that looked like they belong to a wild animal rather than Naruto.

The young woman slowly started to walk back and over to the wall pressing her back into it. "You…..you're not Naruto are you?" she asked with a hitch in her voice.

"No" the stranger said in the same gravelly voice of before. "I'm Kurama"

Recognizing the name Asami eased up a little. "Kurama, as in the nine tailed fox?" she asked still in dismay at what was happing towards Korra and being in the presences of a powerful being.

Gulping a little Asami straightened up and put on her best steely gaze. "Release Korra and please bring Naruto back." She said firmly.

Kurama looked back at Asami a little more intently as he nodded in agreement and was about to let the Avatar go but before he could dissipate the toilet hand, Korra had found a way to defeat it.

She almost immediately stopped waving her arms and placed her hands on the toilet bowl. In one move she froze all the water in the commode along with her face and Naruto's toilet hand.

With gaps between the ice and the toilet bowl Korra was able lift her head out with her face froze in a block of ice.

Using the last of her breath Korra blew air out of her nostrils turning all of the ice back into water and back in the bowl, leaving the Water Tribe girl with her whole head and face dripping wet.

Naruto's eyes turned from red to blue showing that he was once again in the driver's seat. Sighing in relief Asami walked back to Naruto and hugged him glade that he was back.

Running her hand over her forehead to slick back her wet locks out of her field of vision, Korra spat out the rest of the toilet water as she glared at the yellow haired ninja. "Explain, now!"

Naruto gently pushed Asami over to the side as he ruffled his cape dramatically. "Sorry for the sneak attack that was Kurama's idea. He wanted me to show and tell you that you have to stop thinking like a warrior and think like a solider."

Korra only looked more confused than before. "What the hell are you talking about?" The girl asked getting more and more agitated by the second. "A solider and warrior are the same thing!"

Before Naruto could say his piece Asami had beat him to it. "No they're not. A warrior fights for glory or some sort of personal gain. They are more about heart and the fighting spirit, rather than strategy and command. But when they're part of an army, they're pretty competitive and eager to demonstrate to their peers on which one of them is the strongest."

Asami crossed her arms as she had her eyes locked onto the bathroom mirror, looking back at her own reflection as she continued to say.

"A soldier on the other hand is some one that gives their loyalty and service to fulfilling a cause. They're disciplined, well-trained, and well-equipped. They follow the orders of their superiors and care more about the success of the mission than caring if they're the strongest around. And above all they finish the mission no matter what the cost."

In a split second Asami saw herself from two years ago staring at her in the reflection. Wearing dark a sleek tactical cat suit with her hair a bit shorter and sporting a few stripes of red running from her locks.

Taking a step back in the reflecting glass the young entrepreneur noticed the curious and inquisitive looks that the ninja and the multi bender were giving her.

"Sami?" Naruto raised his voice to a higher pitch asking the girl in her name alone to how she managed to answer is warrior vs solider question with a somewhat poetic answer.

Looking back and forth between her two friends Asami nervously placed her hand behind her head and laughed. "I took a philosophy course back in college and that was actually the topic for my midterm!" she continued to chuckle and relaxed when Naruto just shrugged and accepted the answer.

"Well she's right these Equalists aren't going to be challenging you to a duel or fight you off one by one. They're going to find the quickest and most tactical way to subdue and maybe capture you."

Korra grabbed a huge lock of hair and wrung it out as Naruto's words sunk in. "I guess you might be right. Smoke grenades, knockout gas, bolas, and underhanded scare tactics." She let out a deep sigh and watched the water drip to the floor. "My masters never really prepared me to fight against something like this. So what exactly do you have in mind?"

"Well for starters you should learn to expect the unexpected. With the way I've seen some of these guys' fights most of their go to responses are stealth attacks." Naruto was to focused on lecturing Korra that he didn't sense a presence approaching from behind him until it was too late as a sharp pain erupted from his ear as he felt some one yanking his earlobe.

"Naruto Uzumaki how many times have I told you not to trespass in the girl's dormitories!" the commanding voice and fingers that had Naruto's lobe in a vice belong to non-other than the matriarch of the Airbending family, Pema.

The very upset, very cranky, and very pregnant woman had one hand at the hip while the other clutched Naruto's dangling flesh harder.

"Aunt Pema! I was just trying to teach Korry about out out oout! Pema tugged harder getting him to stop his excuse.

"I don't care what your justification for coming here is. But I know where it would lead to, if I told you once I told you a thousand times young man I know what boys your age have on your mind. There's no hanky panky on this island unless you're married!"

"We weren't going anything!"

Pema didn't listen to her captive's pleas as she walked out of the door away and towards the door leading to the hallway taking Naruto's ear and the rest of him along with her.

With the sounds of a disappointed lashing out Pema and a whining Naruto echoing and fading out of reach Korra smiled like a cat that just ate the cannery at Naruto's predicament.

"Sneak attacks huh? You know Asami somehow seeing a super powered alien ninja getting emasculated by a middle age pregnant woman makes the whole almost drowning thing worth it." Korra held up her hand in a gesturing way for a high five.

Asami just looked at Korra in disbelieve. "Korra…sigh go take a shower." She then promptly left the bathroom giving Korra some privacy.

Alone Korra looked down at her hand then back at her own reflection in the mirror. "Maybe high fives aren't an Avatar thing."

She then walked over to the tub and turned the faucet on and was about to disrobe when she saw Naruto's orange jacket on the floor. Picking it up she folded the garment up and placed it on the counter smiling as her fingers ran over the material. "He doesn't just lend this to anybody." Korra said out loud before heading for the shower.

An Hour Latter Air Temple Island Beach

On the sandy shores of Air Temple Island Naruto started to pace with his hands behind his back as he tried to articulate the best words to use to describe to his somewhat new student on what to expect. Ditching his awesome cape because let's face it it's a cape for his regular jacket that he got back from Korra the orange ninja stopped for a moment as the words started coming to him.

"Look I'm not going to lie this isn't going to be easy. You've spent your whole life learning and fighting a certain way and I know change is not easy. But I promise you if you give me everything you have beyond your hundred percent I'll make you into a true guardian a protector to all those you hold precious in your life, you have my word …any questions?"

"Ah yeah why exactly are you the one training me in Airbending?" Bolin asked as he nervously scratched his noggin.

"Well Uncle Tenzin's in town doing his councilmen duties right now."

"Ok" Bolin nodded along. "Then why can't one of the kids or even Korra help teaching me? I mean no offence or anything but do you know anything about Airbending?"

Naruto narrowed his eyes but expected criticism coming from the former Earthbender. "Well the kids are occupied with other things right now. Jinora's studying, Ikki's doing choirs, and Meelo bribed Ikki into doing his choirs and's playing with Poki and your pet cat."

"Ok first Pabu's a ferret not a cat." Bolin explained not knowing how Naruto couldn't tell the difference.

"Ferrets are cats." Naruto stated neutrally as if he was right and they were in fact a subspecies of cat.

Not wanting to get side tracked with a debate on the differences between ferrets and cats Bolin went back on to his questions. "…..well then what about Korra?" the neo-Airbender shrugged.

"She's with the real Naruto and learning how to counter against stealth ninja like tactics."

"Wait the real Naruto; ah man are you one of those shadow clone things?" Bolin whined out feeling like he was passed down the lowest end of the totem pole.

The Naruto shadow clone clapped his hands together as he began to mold a specific form of chakra. "If it makes you feel better I'm not really the one who's training you either."

"But you just said you'd….."

"Yeah yeah don't worry it's not really me whose going to train you…" Naruto smiled as he closed his eyes. Only to open them again showing his bright blue eyes turning golden as dark blue symbols started spreading out from Naruto's feat and coating the sand around him. That same sand rose from the ground and ensnared the alien, until his whole body was coated in it.

Bolin started to run over to Naruto thinking his strange friend was going to suffocate as a pair of pawed sand hands gripped his stopping the young man.

"…is me!" Shukaku the one tailed beast said finishing Naruto's talk from before as he successfully took over his new Jinchuriki.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Bolin cried out as he tried to break free from the beast's hold.

"Yes tremble from my excellence ,human! Tremble!" Shukaku laughed hysterically as Bolin continued to scream.

Shukaku's amusement started dyeing down as Bolin continued to whale out. "Ha ha ha ha…..Ok you can be silent now! You're starting to annoy me!"

Bolin immediatly sucked his lips into his mouth as Shukaku let go of the boy. "Your one of Naruto's spirit roommates, right?" he asked nervously having known about the nine spirits.

"You are correct hideous human child I Shukaku master of the sand, champion of magnetism and the number one authority in wind combat shall teach you the true way to conjure your wind element!"

Brushing the sand off his hands Bolin started to calm down. "Ok I can get behind this. It's kind of like learning Earthbending form a badger mole."

"Badger mole? I'm a tanuki!" the sand beast roared.

"I'm sorry I was just making analogy." Bolin apologized.

"That wasn't an analogy you simpleton it was a light hearted comparison!"

"Ok ok" Bolin was starting to feel less scared but a little more anguished. "So you're going to train me?"

"Yes!" Shukaku's body sunk into the sand below and dashed backwards before breaching back out of the ground a few feet away. "First lesson I will teach you to shield against projectiles!"

"Projectiles?"

Shukaku's stomach started to expand as he rose one arm forming a fist while place his other over his mouth spreading his fingers apart. "Muilti Drilling Air Bullet Pellet!" the tailed beast slammed his fist into his belly repeatingly with each hit releasing a volley of air projectiles from his mouth.

Bolin panicked as he raised his hands and created an air wall in front of himself, blocking the rapid fier from harming him. Unfortunately the Neo Airbender was so focused with defending his front that he didn't see the sand arms coming out of the beach behind him, as each arm created a throwing motion creating shurikens out of their respected surfaces.

The former Pro Bender dropped his shield as he felt a series of sharp shooting pain coming from out of his back. "Ahahahahah what the hell!" he screamed as he fell to his knees only to get attacked from his front sending him flying backwards in the air before landing back down from the assault.

"Mmmmmmmmm" Shukaku stroked his chin as he watched his new student ragdoll from his front and back combo attack. "I might have to hold back just a little on this one."

Later That Night City Hall

In a mid-sized conference room Korra was one of many sitting alongside a round table listening to Councilman Tarrlok as he stood behind a bulletin board that held up a series of blueprints. Clad in an identical uniform as Korra and the rest of the task force Tarrlok pointed towards to board and said. "Tonight we will execute a raid on an underground chi blocker training camp located in the Dragon Flats borough. According to my informant, there is a cellar underneath this bookstore that is being…"

Looking around the table the Northern representative made sure all eyes were on him. He was somewhat not surprised when he noticed a pair that weren't. "Avatar Korra?"

Korra had propped her elbow on the table while using her hand to hold up her chin, while using ever once of strength not to nod off.

"Avatar Korra?" Tarrlok increased the volume of his voice as he walked closer to the young lady.

Still Korra didn't respond as she began to flutter her eyes.

"AVATAR KORRA!" Tarrlok slammed his hands on the conference table not only walking and getting Korra's attention but causing her to panic and throw a fire ball right at the Councilman's face.

With a quick pivot to the left the fireball missed Tarrlok only to hit to board and engulf the blue prints that held a majority of tonight's assault on the Equalist training post.

"What's going on? Who's attacking us?!" Korra asked with her hands still up and her head rapidly turning every direction that it could.

"No one is attacking but you, Avatar." Without turning around Tarrlok bend some water resting in a pitcher and extinguished to flames behind him letting the fire as well as their plans to go up in smoke. "But it appears you might be more than ready for tonight."

Seeing no one was in danger Korra rubbed the back of her neck. "Sorry about that I hope everyone memorized what the plan was."

Tarrlok pushed his frustration down and put on his best political smiled. "I'm sure they did."

A Certain Location in the Dragon Flats Boroughs

"So as you can see we have a whole training facility set up right here." In an extremely spaciously cellar a young woman in an ordinary red outfit signifying her ancestry to the Fire Nation but wearing a bandana around her face to partially seal her identity showed a curious young man around the secret training camp.

Through the well-lit cellar the young man who was dressed showing his Earth Kingdom heritage saw men and women from different backgrounds training and learning from one another against a common threat, the benders.

"So is this it?" the young Earth Kingdom man asked as he looked around the secret training gym.

His tour guild chuckled lightly as she shuffled around her clipboard. "Oh of course not this is what you'd call a beginning level training facility. New recruits such as yourself begin the basics of chi blocking and familiarize with our standard weapons before you're sent off to one of the next centers."

The young man noticed something odd with his tour guilds explanation. "Wait, one of the next centers?"

Turning around and halting the tour the guild continued. "Yes you see chi blocking isn't for how should I put this delicately not for most people…..."

She nodded her head over to a chubby water tribe man who was huffing and puffing through his bandana as he tried to match the perfect strikes on a training dummy.

"….so we send the less flexible members to a faculty that matches better with their skill set. The flexibility challenged members will most likely be sent to the Front Line Infantry Unit rather than our division that teaches more advanced chi blocking skills and espionage training."

"I see but if there are so many different facilities all over the city aren't you worried about someone outside of the party discovering their locations?" the young man asked.

"Oh now, now there's no need to worry our facilities are along with a list of our members are kept in the highest of security." The young tour guild patted her clip board that she had been carrying which properly had the names and locations on it yeah real tight security there buddy.

"Ok I just have one last question who pays for all of this, I mean a revolution can't come cheap?"

The young tour guild narrowed her eyes a bit as she thumbed through her clipboard but eased up a bit when she got to the young man's file sheet. "I see here your older brother recommended you into our origination did he?"

The young Earth Kingdom man shook his head. "Yes as a matter of fact…." But whatever the young man was about to say was interrupted but the sound of the nearby windows breaking as a surge of water entered the secret cellar dojo and crashed down onto the members closest to the wall.

"How fast are you!" the tour guild yelled as the crashing water froze trapping at least half the members inside a torrent of ice.

"What?!" the young man asked as he too started panicking.

The young woman threw her clip board at the young man and pointed over to a door nearby. "Get out of here! There are some more advanced Equalists guarding that exit they'll protect you as when you get that clipboard to one of our free runners!"

The young man saw that the ice stared breaking at the top as members of Councilman Tarrlok task force stated to invade the facility.

"I'm going to help hold them off your still a novice the only thing your good to us for right now is running as fast as you can, the revolution depends on it!"

The young man clutched the clip board to his chest "Really!" his eyes burned in wonder.

"….Well about 20% of the revolution." That comment brought the young recruits spirits down a peg. But none the less he ran as fast as he could just as Tarrlok and Avatar Korra crashed the party.

The young tour guild gave out a battle cry as she ran up to Tarrlok and challenged the councilman to hand to hand combat.

"Avatar Korra!" Tarrlok yelled as he dodged the guild's strikes and tried to snare her with some water he levitated behind him. "Go after that boy with the clip board that's what we came for!"

Korra nodded as she ran after the young man who in a moment of panic opened the door to the escape route only to throw the board over to an Equalist dressed in a standard uniform.

"There he's got it please don't hurt me!" the young man pleated as he fell to the floor and curled up in a ball.

Korra rolled her eyes as she jumped over the young man and chased after the Equalist who now had the clip board.

"How did you know about that board?" the tour guild asked as one of her arms was caught by a frozen ice strike.

Tarrlok smiled as he threw another ice blast freezing her legs. "I have my sources." He said snidely.

"Oh balls you have one of the mercenaries Amon fired working for you don't you?" the guild asked.

Tarrlok still looking like a smug son of a spear froze the guild's legs.

Secret Tunnel…not the Romantic One in the Earth Kingdom but Another Tunnel That's Also Kind of a Secret Because it Connected the Cellar to an Outside Exit Away From the Book Store.

Korra chased after the Equalist carrying the clip board which according to Tarrlok contained information towards rounding up other Equalist training camps as she turned a sharp corner in the dimly lit tunnel Naruto's voice rang though her head.

"Always pay attention to your surroundings especially if you're in the enemy's turf. They'll have rigged the area to their advantage." From the corner of her eye she saw a faint glimmer on the side of the tunnels' wall. Suspecting it to be ether a trip wire or a trap trigger Korra leaped into the air and over the wire.

With her body rotating in the air she saw another Equalist hiding in the tunnels' raptures waiting to launch a sneak attack. But the avatar smiled as she wished she could see the look on the masked villains face as she landed on the ground with one leg on the ground and the other one bent just as the Equalist jumped down getting a roundhouse kick to the face as his reward.

"Oh in your face!" Korra bragged out as she danced around a bit. "You thought your whole cloak and dagger secret shadow stuff would catch me off guard. Come on Equalist guy admit it." As the Avatar continued to humiliate her fallen opponent she didn't notice that another Equalist silently descended behind her creeping his way, entering a strike as to the Water Tribe's girl's exposed neck in order to paralyze her.

"SON OF A BITCH!"

Korra spun around lifting her hands and ready to throw out some earth or fire jabs when she saw an Equalist only a foot away from her. she lowered her guard when she noticed that the Equalist who not only was the one who shouted out the obscenity fall to his knees as she could make out a few black arrows sticking out of her would be assailant's back.

Before Korra could register on what had just happened another arrow came from the other end of the darkened tunnel and pierced the same Equalist's flesh again making the pain so unbearable that the Equalist fell completely to the ground.

"You need to be more careful, kid." The archer revealed himself as he stepped out of the shadows. Clad with a black hood over his head and a black stealth suit with a quiver across his back and flechettes strapped to his forearms the new masked man put his bow down and throw an object over to Korra.

The Avatar fumbled the object realizing that it was the clipboard she narrowed her eyes at the bowman. "Who are you?"

"Avatar Korra!" turning around the girl saw Councilman Tarrlok running over towards her only to fall as he tripped over the wire Korra noticed before.

Still suspecting that the councilman had something to do with her erratic behavior last night Korra in a deadpan tone said. "Hey watch out for the trip wire."

"I'm quite all right." Tarrlok tried to save face as he got up and dusted himself off. "I see you've met my informant."

Korra handed Tarrlok the clip board and looked back at the bowman as he pulled back his hood and lowered the half mask around his mouth that looked like some sort of gas mask exposing his identity.

"You you're that Equalist that escaped from Asami's warehouse!" Korra pointed angrily at the man who she and the others captured on the night they were looking for Bolin only for him to knockout Asami before escaping.

Korra turned her head around. "This guy's your informant! But he's an Equalist!"

"CALLED IT!" a voice echoed though the cave only for everyone to ignore it.

"Do you not know what the word informant means, kid?" Fifteen asked mockingly.

"You, you shut up!" Korra wagged her finger at the bowman. "What is going on!" she asked out loud but more directly towards Tarrlok.

"Well Avatar this young man approached me and told me he was once a member of the Equalist movement the night you and your friends crashed Amon's rally. In exchange for a pardon for training and collaborating with a group that have been declared criminal's in the eyes of the state. Mr. Xian here agreed to use his old contacts in order to gather more Intel and evidence on Equalist activities."

Xian who to some circles was known as number Fifteen winked and clicked his mouth of to the younger girl. "Looks like we'll be working together from here on out, kid."

"That's right you're some sort of mercenary right? So because Amon was going to let you go for some more devout members you're going to play for the other side?"

Xian rolled his eyes. "Yeah seriously do you not get what a mercenary is? Were the only things those White Lotus people taught you was when to punch or when not to punch?"

"Shut up!" Korra's face turned a bit red as she grinded her teeth. "Just because we have to work together now doesn't mean we're going to be friends all of a sudden. I still haven't forgot what you did to Asami!"

Putting his hood back up Xian started to head towards the opposite end of the tunnel. "We aren't going to be working together. I'm doing my community service in the shadows." He stopped momentarily at the edge of were the tunnel wasn't lit up but descended into darkness. "And as for knocking out Thir…..I mean Miss Sato I thought you'd be happy about the woman who stole your boyfriend got what was coming to her!"

"Naruto's not my boyfriend!" Korra roared back. "He's my best friend and so is Asami…..I'd never want anything bad too happened to either one of them." Her voice died down in to hollow tone of uncertainty.

Later that Week

In the gymnasium of the Pro-bending Arena Mako was busy training for the Fire Ferrets next match as he bobbed and weaved while simultaneously throwing out some fire blasts, striking down his practice targets.

"I see you're hard at work, Captain."

Turning around the young Firebender saw his new teammate the statuesque Waterbending White Lotus Miyuki entering the gym. Dressed in her practice uniform rather than her White Lotus uniform, the young lady began to do some light stretches as she placed one of her long slender legs on a balance beam.

"Yeah are you now just getting ready for the next match?" Mako tried not to stare at his teammate when she was exercising but he couldn't help but gaze at how flexible the Waterbender was. "S…so is Korra a no show again?" he asked while rubbing the back of his neck uncontrollably.

"I'm afraid so it seems her duties on the task force are eating up most of her time. When Uzumaki isn't training her in the mornings she spends the nights invading secret Equalist training camps."

"Yeah Bolin told me Naruto's teaching her how to fight in the shadows…..he also told me he's learning how to Airbender from a talking raccoon-dog made out of sand?"

Miyuki smiled slyly like that cat of her name sake. "These are strange times indeed." She then lifted her leg of the stand and placed it behind her head while clapping her hands together.

Mako couldn't keep his eyes off his teammate this time. "Hey…Miyuki?"

"Yes what is it Captain?" The White Lotus sentry answered with her eyes closed as she held her constraints like position.

"Since Korra's tied up with the task force and it's just the two of us I was wondering if we could skip practice for today and get something to eat."

"Do you think that's wise Captain asking and going on a date with a teammate?" Miyuki asked as she opened her eyes.

"What who said anything about a date?" Mako defended as he coughed lightly. "I just thought the two of us could get to know each other a little better."

"Oh" Miyuki placed her leg down as she prepared her other leg to do the same stretch by first placing it on the balance beam. "Well in that case I'd love to except….."

"Except what?" Mako's short question was answered by the sound of the gym's double doors being blown wide open.

"Wow this place his huge!" Meelo the youngest of the air child cried out marveling at the gym's equipment.

"This whole building is huge." Ikki the middle sibling yelled as she too marveled at the room.

"…..I didn't come alone." Miyuki finished her sentence finding the look on Mako's face somewhat amusing.

"What are you kids doing here?" the Firebender asked.

"Well we used our inheritance to pay for your team to enter the tournament didn't we?" Ikki asked robotically.

"Yeah we're the Fire Ferret's team owners now, and we wanted to see our investment didn't go to waste!" Meelo said as he pointed to the ground. "Now drop down and give me twenty!"

"You can't be serious." Mako raised an eyebrow trying to see if this was some sort of Airbending free spirited joke.

"I am and now it's forty!" Meelo screamed.

Mako didn't want to get into an argument with a toddler especially while he was in front his teammate so with a long and heavy sigh he got to the ground and counted out each push up. " . ….."

"Ah I wasn't watching do it again!"

Mako let out another sight as he restarted this time with more speed. "One Two Three Four"

A Few Days Later

At a press conference celebrating the success of another raid going their way Tarrlok along with the rest of the task force stood on a stage while the leader of the trope was behind a podium with Korra at his side. "And because of Avatar Korra bravery on answering the call of action, along with the combined efforts of this specialized task force and myself, we have proven that there is nothing to fear from Amon and the Equalist Party. Now are there any questions?"

The moment the councilman said that the reports that had been biting their tongues all rose their hands in unison as they all tried to talk over one another. Tarrlok pointed over to one of the reporters in the front of the sea of journalists incidentally it was the same mousy reporter that Korra had bullied into fainting back at the gala.

"Y…..Yes! I have a question for the Avatar!" the brave young journalist asked as she nervously shifted her glasses. "Even with all the successful raids to these Equalists training camps gulp Amon is still at large why is it that you have failed to locate him?" the young reporter held up her note pad using it was a pitiful shield in case the Avatar tried to pick a fight with her like before.

"You want to know why?!" Korra asked as she lightly shuffled Tarrlok over to the side while she pulled the mic from the podium. "Because Amon's a coward he's hiding in the shadows like an elephant rat! Amon, I challenge you to a duel!"

That declaration caused a few gasps but more of a barrage of questions with more rapid flashing cameras.

"No task force, no chi blockers, just the two of us tonight at midnight on Avatar Aang Memorial Island. Let's cut to the chase and settle this thing, if you're man enough to face me!" Korra didn't put the microphone back instead she tiled her hand to the side and dropped the mic on the stage like a boss as she walked out of the press conference getting in order to get ready for the fight she spent the last week training for.

Republic City Docks

On a small dinghy that swayed with the movement of the ocean Korra and Asami, prepared for the laters one on one bought. Asami loaded a pack with supplies while Korra wearing her parka over a new dark outfit started getting to boat for take of or sail whatever the nautical term for take off is.

Tarrlok and other members of the task force just watched the two girls getting ready while they stayed on the pier watching over for any trouble.

It was then Tenzin zeroed into the pier while flying in the night sky. The Air Master touched down and turned off the head lamp he had strapped to his head that help with the nocturnal low visibility. "Korra, this is madness!"

The Avatar didn't physical indulge Tenzin but continued to reel in her dock ropes over her shoulders as Asami climbed back on the dock. "No throwing me from the top of a glacier into the freezing ocean in hopes I'd Airbend myself up before I hit the water that was madness."

That statement was rewarded by a sea of blank and dumbfounded stares from everyone at the port.

"Hey are you ready to go?" a disembody voice broke the stun silence as Naruto appeared out of nowhere. "What's with all the funny looks?"

"It's nothing" Korra shrugged with a sly smile. "I was just talking about you or rather Kurama I think." her playfulness dipped as she got her game face back on. "Is it done?"

Naruto jumped off the dock and on Korra's boat causing it to shift around a bit. "Yeah It's all set" the ninja handed the Avatar a slip of paper discretely. "Make sure to memorize it. You can't fight with one hand while you have keep looking at a cheat sheet in the other."

Korra nodded as she took the slip and put it in her pocket.

"Did you convince her to do this?" Tenzin asked firmly as he looked down at Naruto from the docks.

"I'm not a little girl anymore Tenzin." Korra stated without raising her voice. "You can't keep codling me for the rest of my life."

Tenzin stood silent only sighing in defeat as he knew there was no talking the girl out of it.

"Do you have everything you need?" Asami asked having packed Korra's knapsack herself but asking anyway out of concern.

"Yes Mom I got everything." Korra said mockingly with a smile.

"Yeah I'm aloud to worry, young lady!" Asami mused with her by wagging a finger at the Avatar

Korra's smile died down again as she went back to business "Can all you give us a minute." She insinuated that she wanted to talk to Naruto alone.

Tenzin, Asami ,Tarrlok and the few members of the task force there all nodded as they walked a few feet away.

"Avatar Korra" Tarrlok stopped mid step before walking away with the others. "We'll be watching the island closely. Should anything happen I'll have a fleet of police airships ready to assist you on a moment's notice."

Korra nodded in thanks as the councilman joined the other as to give the two friends their privacy.

"So it's been a week do you still think Tarrlok was the one who made you act all crazy at the party?" Naruto asked as he leaned in case he might have been over heard.

"I don't think so. I think he was just really enthusiastic about me joining the task force he hasn't done anything really that suspicions except you know…..."

"Like hiring that Xian guy who use to be an Equalist." Naruto finished having been told of their previous captured prisoner's turn coat statues.

"Yeah did you tell Asami about that?" Korra nudged.

Naruto shook his head. "No I didn't it's not like she got scared when he knocked her out and escaped the warehouse if anything she was just annoyed by it when she came to. I didn't think she needs to now Xian's working for the task force."

"Still we should keep an eye on that guy." Korra stated nodding her head.

"So from Tarrlok to this Xian guy, got it." Naruto jumped off the boat and back on the dock. "Do you want me to wait up for you or…."

"You don't need to wait up." Korra confirmed as she stretched out her arms getting ready to sail. "This won't take this long."

The others joined Naruto at the edge of the pier as they all saw Korra take off speeding towards the island.

"I don't know if I sleep easy tonight." Asami said as she rubbed her arms up and down.

"Well you could always bunk with me tonight." Naruto gave the older girl a sly wink while he tried to lay out his invitation smooth.

"All right." Asmia said just as slyly as she walked down the pier.

Naruto flushed as he ran after her and walked in front of Asami. "Now when you say all right…"

Asami smiled as she gave Naruto a deep kiss on the lips as her hands ran up and down his chest. Breaking the kiss Asami leaned her head close to Naruto's ear whispering. "I mean I'll see you back at your place."

Avatar Aang Memorial Island

After arriving on the Island Korra made her way to the foot of Aang's statue which was on top of the island's gift shop. Sitting down on the courtyard next to the shop Korra entered into a mediating position while she set her backpack right next to her.

However unknown to our heroine while she waited patiently for her opponent she was being watched.

High above the gift shop's roof two Equalist solders had their eyes on Korra reporting any and all movements she made.

"The Avatar's on the island sir." An Equalist with the insignia for reconnaissance sown onto her arm band reported over a two way radio as she watched over Korra through a spy glass.

"Very good." The grave and mysterious voice of Amon rang through the other end of the radio. "Tell me the second she gets into position."

"Under stood sir, over and out." The reconnaissance Equalist said as she signed off.

"Over and out?" Her partner a member of the Equalist backup support mocked as he repeated the other officer's last words. "You sound like such an ass when you say stuff like that."

"Hey that's the official call off sign when we end a transmission, what did you want me to say see you later on the fly big boss babba booey!"

The support officer just sighed. "Seriously like an ass."

An Hour Later

"What is she doing?"

"What?"

"I said what is she doing now?"

The reconnaissance and support Equalist still held their position above Korra who they were supposed to be monitoring the girl since her arrive. But without a spy glass or any other kind of tool like it the support officer could only make out that the Avatar was still in a meditative spot with her hood up while the night fog washed over the court yard.

Unfortunately the reconnaissance officer was getting fed up by her partner's nagging. "Spirits! I'm getting so sick of you asking me that question!"

"Yeah you're the one with the fucking spyglass!" the support officer yelled back in a harsh whisper "I can't see shit so don't start to bitch at me because I'm not gonna just sit up here and play with my di…..!"

"You know what? You know what? You know what?" the reconnaissance officer said in repetition cutting her partner off. "That's your own damn fault!"

The reconnaissance officer placed her spyglass down as she reprimand her comrade. "I told back when we were in basic training that you should sign up with me in reconnaissance but you said and I quote I want to go where the action is and move around the different squads not get stuck with a radio and a kiddie telescope. So sit still be quite and be lucky you didn't have to support the fatties in the front line infantry unit!"

The support officer sat silently while he stared back angrily at his partner for a beat. "Give me the fucking telescope!"

"No you flip flop mother fucker!"

"Hey guys" a new voice said alerting and scaring the two Equalists. They both calmed down when they realized it was just another Equalist officer who saluted them. "What's the current statues on the target?"

"Wait who the hell are you?" the support officer asked while the reconnaissance officer checked on the Avatar with her telescope.

"Me oh I'm K…. Coral from Avatar Machete Squad!" the new female sounding Equalist pulled out a Southern Water Tribe machete to prove her identity.

"That kind of looks more like a club then a machete…..wait a second what the hell is Avatar Machete Squad?" the support officer asked.

"Oh you know in case the Avatar goes into the Avatar State and goes all super charged elemental crazy shit house on us." The Machete Squad officer shrugged while explaining the importance of her outfit.

"Why are you here?" the reconnaissance officer asked when she saw that Avatar Korra hadn't left her potion from his last check.

"Amon sent me to tell the two of you he wants the Avatar brought to him."

The two previous officers looked back at each other before looking at the machete Equalist. "If he wants us to capture and bring him the Avatar why didn't he say so over the radio?" the reconnaissance officer ask ass he waved her hand held communicator around.

The machete Equalist quickly grabbed the radio from the reconnaissance officer and placed it in her back pocket. "Because he realized about half an hour ago that there are police officers patrolling the area they could try and listen into our broadcasts. That's why he sent me out here."

The two officer looked back at were Avatar Korra was still sitting on the ground mediating. "Well with this fog I don't think she'll see us." The reconnaissance officer said.

"Plus if Amon ordered us to bring her to him he must have reconsidered our skills in combat." The support officer added quite pridefully.

"Alright you lead and I'll follow you two in the rear." Coral suggested as the other two Equalists nodded and silently slide down the top of the gift shop roof and proceed in capturing the Avatar.

Meanwhile While!

In the base of the giant Avatar Aang statue Amon waited for the call when Avatar Korra would loss her patience and unknowingly get into position for his Equalisst inside that base with him to capture and bring the Avatar to him so he could install the fear of his charisma into the young lady.

But so far he found that the Avatar had more humility then he gave her credit as he had yet to get word on her movements. He cringed momentary as he placed his hand on his stomach the injures he obtained form the Avatar's companion were healing but not fast enough as his wounds periodically began bleeding throughout the week.

Taking his hand off his gut when he heard footsteps behind him Amon prepared himself thinking that the call had finally rang.

"Sir!" a sole Equalist called out while he bowed before his leader.

"Is the Avatar in position?" Amon asked.

"I don't know sir about a minute ago we received a transmission from our transmission officer watching the girl." The Equalist pulled out the radio and turned it on. Instead of static the radio broadcasted a silent signal with the occasional shifting wind giving the impression of a chilling voice whispering from the darkness. "See I know it might be nothing but that is legate spooky."

Amon sighed as he tried not to hold his stomach "How many soldiers do we have stationed for the ambush?"

"About twenty one or so sir."

"Alright we've waited enough take five other soldiers and bring the Avatar to me" Amon commanded as he turned his back to his messenger.

"As you wish sir." The Equalist bowed as he left Amon's presence.

Back Outside

A small squad of Equalists exited from Amon's make shift spider cat hole as they all cautiously left the base and hid in the shadows as they headed for were Avatar Korra was waiting.

But when they got to the court yard they stopped in their tracks. Even with a thick layer of fog going all the way up to their shins they could see the two Equalists who were stationed on tracking the Avatar's movements laying on the ground unmoving right next to said bender who had her face hidden beneath her parka.

"Get her!" one of the six Equalists cried out as he reached behind his back and pulled out a bola which he swung around his head before casting it at his target ensnaring the Avatar around her torso and knocking her to the ground like the other two Equalists.

"That…..was really easy." Even with his target so easily trapped he was none the less careful as he slowly approached his victim while three of the six Equalists scanned the area and the remaining two looked after their fallen comrades.

"What the hell?" one of the Equalists who was trying to resuscitate one of the fallen said out loud as he picked up a light blue bladed machete resting next to his fallen comrade.

The Equalist who threw the previous bola made his way to the Avatar as he kneeled down and pulled the girl's hood back. "Not so high and might know are you girlie!" the Equalist's chauvinist boast was short lived when he saw that the wearer of the parka and his victim wasn't the Avatar but an other young woman with a gag around her mouth with her hand and legs bound as well as her torso.

"Wait a second you're the recon lady!" the leader of the search party cried out as pulled the gag from his tied up compatriot.

"It's a trap!" the previously gagged Equalist screamed as she tried to warn her brothers in arms. "The Avatar's turned the damn table around!"

The search party leader bolted up when he heard another scream coming from behind him. Turning around he saw two of the other search party members suspended in midair with a snare tied to each of their legs as they daggled off the side of a light post.

Another shrill from the side he saw another Equalist getting dragged across the court yard as his body was pulled by a invisible force hidden under the fog that was starting to increase in density.

With the sound of a crying pain echoing behind him again he saw two more Equalists clutching their legs as they were caught in body gripping taps that had metal jaws gnawing at their legs causing their libs to bleed profusely as they started to collapse from blood loss.

The search party leader looked back down to see that one of the previous fallen Equalists was no were in sight as the baited reconnaissance officer wearing the Water Tribe parka had been completely knocked out with an injury to the head.

"Where…..WHERE ARE YOU!" the sole remaining Equalist demanded as he panicked beyond belief and wouldn't stop turning around trying to cover his back.

He stopped rotating around when he felt something land behind him. Bolting around the Equalist tried to pull out another bola trap only to get caught himself as the fog around him swirled up his body and incased him up to his head in ice. From the shadows he saw a figure step into the light.

Dressed in Equalist garb except for the mask Avatar Korra slowly approached her captured pray as she dragged her machete on the ground. The weapon sent out a sew sparks here and there as the flickering specks breached over the fog and faded back into the air.

Lifting her head the Equalist saw that the Avatar's face was made up with traditional Southern Water Tribe war paint making the teenage girl look like a wolf walking in the form of a woman.

The Equalist started to scream in harmony with the other conscious Equalists who were stuck in their own trapes as Korra was finally a breath away from the search party leader.

"Shhhhshhhh!" the Avatar cooed as she used her free hand to grab and lift off the Equalists mask showing a young man around her age looking back at her with the same look of fear he'd show to the spirit who under took souls to the nether world.

"Don't worry little Equalist I'm not going to kill you." she reassured the young man as she stroked the side of his face with the back of her hand only to forcefully grab the hair on the back of his head and pull it back just as she lifted her machete up and pressed the side of the blade to his throat. "I'm just gonna hurt you really, really badly!"

The whimpering Equalist let out a blood curtailing scream the same time the Avatar let out a cracking laugh that would make century's old witch turn green in envoy."HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

A Few Minutes Later

"What's taking them so long?" Amon's fortitude was running bone dry as he continued to wait inside the base of Avatar Aang's statue. He addressed the remaining fifteen Equalists that stood by his side. "I want all of you to check on the others and bring me the Avatar now."

The Equalists all bowed as the ones hiding in wait in the raptors preformed a series of acrobatic moves to jump down and joined the rest on the ground following their leaders command.

Amon turned his portable radio back on waiting as he held one arm behind his back and poised himself. "Report, what is your current status?"

"Nothing yet, sir." The voice of the backup communications operative stated back. "Wait I see our other soldiers it looks like….wait what was ?!" the voice cried back into the radio in a panic.

"What's going on?!" Amon demanded as she shook the radio.

The communications Equalist must have had the talk back button held down as he heard the howls of his followers. "I said report!" he shook the radio furiously trying to take control of the situation.

Instead of a straight answer he could hear a jumble of scared replays. "Boss, there's a monster down here! I think its two Kyoshi warriors taped together to make one giant Kyoshi warrior!"

"No it isn't human at all!" Another Equalist screamed into the radio. "I saw it climb the wall. It was a giant spider cat!

"One at a time tell me the currents statues of the target!" All this stress and anxiety was started to loosen the stiches on Amon's torso if the masked man wasn't so enthralled on his task he would have felt the small bits of blood leaking though his skin.

"We're approaching where the Avatar was supposed to be , right?" one of the Equalist said through the radio. "But then suddenly out of no were something rushed right past us and cuts the tendon of one of our men right in front of us, it was horrible!

Another Equalist talked to Amon this time "Oh, his calf muscle rolled up like a window shade! He just kept screaming till he passed out. Oh no it's heading right towards us quick get the grenades!...no not the smoke bombs the mother fucking trigger less explosivesssssssssssssssss."

There was pure static on the other end of the line that interrupted the Equalist's screams. "Wait don't use the explosives you idiots you're going to attract…" Amon was interrupted mid rant as he felt the ground shake a little causing him to stumble "…..attention." he sneered the last word just as the sound of rumbling boots echoed through the base of the statue.

"We got her!"

Amon quickly threw the hand radio across the room and slunk into a dim lighted area as he waited for the last time tonight.

A moment later he saw what little men he had left carrying the Avatar who was wearing a standard Equalist uniform san the mask towards him two were holding her by the arms dragging her limp body with her legs dragging on the ground while three others paced behind them. All of them looked like they had just been in a war skirmish with battle damage all over their uniforms with the three in back each clutching onto an injured body part.

Taking his que Amon slowly walked into the light. "I received your invitation, young Avat….."

"ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!" one of the Equalist who was behind the Avatar shouted as he marched around the captive and up to his leader. "You're going to try the man of mystery act after all of this?" the Equalist waved his hands dramatically as he reached over and grabbed Korra pony tail and pulled her hair back violently. "Does this face look like I'd be scared of you!?"

The wolf pattern face paint that Korra had colored on her face had run during her battle, mostly the dark shades around her eyes dripping down her cheeks while small bits of blood where smeared across her lips like she had tried to put on lipstick during an earthquake.

Korra began letting out another crackling laugh making the two Equalists who were holding her grip her even harder. "Oh come on fellas, why so serious?" her laugher was met by a left hook to her right cheek.

"Shut the fuck up!" the Equalist who stood up to Amon demanded as he decked the Avatar. "You see she's been saying shit like that the whole time she was kicking our asses!"

"Yeah!" one of the two Equalist who were in the back piped up. "And she's been saying crazy shit like asking us if we wanted to dance in the pale moonlight, who says shit like that!"

"Were are the others?" Amon asked knowing he was losing control of the situation.

"There are no others she had traps set up on this whole island and picked us off one by one. We got lucky with the grenade the Avatar was so busy breaking both of Wu from the seventh battalion's arms that she didn't see it before it went off."

"She what?" Amon asked rhetorically but still what to make sure he heard right.

"Yeah she stomped on his arms while shouting, woo!" the lead Equalist finished for his comrade.

"Just for the record that was a happy coincidence." Korra clarified in a sing along voice.

"I thought I told you to shut up!" the lead Equalist took another swing at Korra decking her in the cheek again.

Korra immediately looked up at one of the Equalists holding her left arm and immediately spat out a blood soaked loogie at the masked man's goggles blocking his vision. The Equalist panicked as he let the girl go only to get the grip tightened around her right arm.

"Nice try but even if you got free from us we chi blocked your punk as so you better…" whatever the Equalist holding her right arm was going to say was immediately forgot because when he looked into the Avatar's eyes he saw a bright blue light shining out of the girl's eye sockets.

"Oh shit I'm out!" the Equalist let go of his hold on Korra as he slowly started to back away from the girl. "She's going full Avatar run!" that sole Equalist was the only one scared enough….no smart enough to high tale it out of there.

Korra's body began to tense as steam erupted from her skin with such vigor you'd think it was used to power an engine.

Letting out a primal scream Korra's blood vessel and veins became to pop and become more prominent. She began to flex her arms and bend her legs showing the Equalists that her mobility had returned thanks to her chi popping back into place. "This was supposed to be a one on one fight. If the rest of you want to leave this is the time to do it!" she addressed the other Equalists.

Amon's lackeys, the remaining four didn't budge. They were more angry then they were scared. Despite the lead Equalist the one who was yelling at Amon before, had joined the Equalist party the same reason a majority of its members joined to be free from the benders supremacy.

The Avatar was at the top of that totem pole of supremacy, he was not going to stand down. "Get her!"

Amon took a step back partly to see the Avatar fight up close to study her tactics and partly to let his men try and get some sort of revenge for their fallen friends.

Korra stood still letting the Equalists come at her from all sides. She took a deep breath and…

With an Equalist coming at her from the right with a spin kick Korra leaned back and dodged it but grappled the man's foot and lifted him in the air. Still holding onto the appendage Korra span him around and around making the other Equalists fall back not wanting to get hit by their captured friend.

Korra let the Equalist go sending him flying to the nearby wall, the combination of the speed his body was spinning and the added force of Korra's throw caused the Equalist to create a dent in the wall's metal structure keeping him wedged in it for a few seconds before he fell to the floor with the only signs of life being an occasional twitch.

One down

Another Equalist quickly reached behind his back and threw out a pair of bola traps in hopes that the open space wouldn't provide the Avatar with ample cover to dodge from the assault. It worked as one bola wrapped around Korra's legs and another on her torso, the Equalist didn't stop there as he rushed over to his trapped victim getting ready to rechi block the crap out of her.

But Korra didn't panic all she did was wait for the Equalist to get into range before she pulled and snapped the bola snares off like they were cheap finger traps. When the Equalist saw this he knew it was too late especially when the Avatar grabbed his stretched out arms and drew him in closer so she could head-butt him on the forehead.

With one quick bash to the skull with her own thick forehead the Equalist stumbled backwards as a part of his head caved in a trickle of blood slowly flowed from Korra's brow.

Two down

"Get out of the way!" A bright head light illumined the dimly lit room as the beam focused on Korra causing her to lift her arm up to block it. The Equalist who had previous run off had come back this time with a motorcycle that was traveling straight for the Avatar.

"This is for Wu you sick twisted bitch!" the Equalist revved up his bike faster causing him to pop a wheelie. He pulled the throttle back down so he could bring the spinning wheel down on the Avatar's head.

"That's right fuck Equality and taking away your bending die Avatar, die!" the Equalist let out a hysterical volley of laughs as he throw his head back, only be confused be the way the other two Equalist grunts were slowly backing away from him and the Avatar's corpse like they were scared.

"What the hell's wrong with you two? I killed the Avatar while she was in the Avatar state, I am the Avatar Slayer ha ha ha ha ha ha aaaaaa…" it was then that the Equalist realized that he had not killed the Avatar when in fact that Korra had caught the wheel in her hand but let it skid on top of her palm while her scary glowing blue eyes glared at the motorcycle taunting Equalist. "…..I was just kidding about that Avatar Slayer stuff."

His half assed apology wasn't received as Korra gripped the wheel getting a full hold on the bike in order to fling it backwards causing it's rider to rag doll across the room until he hit a nearby wall. "Is…..is that the best you got, bitch!" he weakly goaded even with both his legs broken.

Korra still holding the motorcycle by the front wheel over the top of her head slowly turned her head over towards her attacker. "You really shouldn't have said that." She said tranquility as she threw the bike over her head letting it slam at the Equalist before it bursted into flames and exploded.

The remaining two Equalists attacked Korra together. Coming at Korra from her sides they each signaled the other to use the tactic they did before when they were outside and brought her down when she got blasted and distracted from the grenade.

Looking over to her right and then to her left Korra bent her knees and placed a fist onto the ground before a volley of steam started to come out from her mouth. Clenching her teeth and sucking her lips in Korra tried her best to keep the steam in her body forcing it down from her stomach to her leg muscles.

When the two Equalists were a breath way Korra countered their combo attack by jumping at the last second into the air. Like an engine piston Korra shot straight up using whatever strength she had to use the momentum to flip and touch the roof of the base with her feet.

Looking back down she saw that the two Equalists had knocked each other down by chi block striking the other ones neck.

In the second before she would have free fall down Korra repeated the same move that she used to get up her by launching her feet from the ceiling sending her straight down like a missile. The second her fist stuck the ground the force of her punch shattered the ground sinking her and everyone else deeper into the island.

The Courtyard of Avatar Aang Memorial Island

This wasn't supposed to happen this wasn't how tonight was supposed to go! As the midnight fog washed over his feet Amon stood in the middle of what could only be described as a battlefield.

Sixteen of some of his best soldiers laid before him defeated almost of all them unconscious while others just moaned lightly fading in and out of their waking minds.

What really wounded Amon's pride the most was how the Avatar had subbed his Equalists. Some were hanging upside down from lamp posts, others were stuck against walls with casting nets holding them on the surfaces, while a few of the unlucky ones had their legs caught in traps that the masked man knew were meant for large animals.

Amon knew he wouldn't be able to free them all or even get them proper medical attention he had to cut his losses for tonight and count this as a lost battle one that they really couldn't afforded at the moment with all their inner city training camps getting discovered and hemorrhaging money to keep the mercenaries that they hadn't fired yet due to their dwelling members the revolution was close to bankruptcy.

But before he could get to the docks he felt something, whizzing right towards him. With a quick tumble roll Amon dodged a circular object from striking the back of his head as he crouched down and rolled to the side again dodging the object as it doubled back.

Tuning around and getting up he saw that the object was in fact an earth disk different then the kind used in Pro-Bending games as it was black with some sort of glowing blue trim etched in the center. The disk whizzed over towards its owner who with no surprise was Avatar Korra.

The young girl had discarded the rest of her Equalist disguise and was wearing what looked like a form fitting black wetsuit suit with tubes running along the sides of her torso, arms, legs and back with the tubes glowing in the same mystic blue shade as were her Avatar State eyes.

"Interesting chose of fashion, Avatar." Amon quipped while trying to formulate a way to defeat the girl without revealing his trump card.

"Really I'm going to get sarcasm from a guy running around in a creepy stage mask?" Korra asked her voice echoing out as steam profusely escaped from her lips.

Amon straightened up as he placed his hands behind his back. "If I were to guess that little outfit is more of a cooling unit designed to prevent your body from overheating while you Steambend?"

"Lucky guess." Korra placed the earth disk in the holster on her upper back as she began pinching her outfit around her buttocks. "It might look cool but it really bunches up my butt."

Behind his mask Amon had cracked a smile while he was indeed furious at what had become of tonight's failed scare tactics he had to admit it was rather humorous for the Avatar to say the word butt while in the Avatar sate. But that small slip of comedy immediately sank deep within his pool of anger.

"You might have beaten my men, but do you really think you have a chance against me?" Amon widened his stance.

Korra didn't say a word as she dived forward and disappeared into the fog.

"So that's how you did it. How you were able pull of your disappearing act on my fellow Equalists, your swimming in the mist by way of Waterbending."

"Who do you think you are Shiro Shinobi?" Korra asked her voice coming from everywhere. "Seriously it's just the two of us keep the exposition commentary to yourself, creep!"

Korra breached though the fog in front of Amon to deliver a low kick to the man's groin. But Amon immediately blocked it before Korra's foot made contact by a crossing his arms and grabbing her shoe. "Not very sporting, Avatar." Amon grunted having some difficulty hold the Avatar back.

The girl with the glowing blue eyes smirked. "This isn't a tournament!…" Korra pulled back her fist as she bent her leg getting closer to her opponent and delivered a stright punch to Amon's stomach that not only made him loss his hold on Korra but the Steambent force made him propel backwards. "….It's a street fight!"

But Amon didn't tumble or get stumbled by great force like Korra's other victims as he used the fog to his advantage as well and secretly controled the mist to cushion the force and only made himself slide back a few feet.

When the Equalist stopped drifting backwards his arms instantly covered his stomach as he felt a rushing pain flowing through the area. Ripping the buttons off of his coat he exposed that he wore some type of body armor covering that had an indent of Korra's fist on it. Tearing the now useless shield off of his abdomen he looked down to see his scar in the shape of a spiral was bleeding more profusely then before.

"It was him wasn't it?" Amon asked as he applied pressure to his stomach. "That alien companion of yours he's the one responsible for all of this." Amon used his other hand to wave at the destruction at one third of his forces. "Your new tactics, your new ferocity, and your madness are all because of him."

Korra reached behind her back and didn't let up. "Tactics maybe, the madness was just an act something about crazy war paint matching stealth mask wearers but my ferocity is all of my own!" Korra threw another black earth disk at Amon who managed to catch it just before it sliced his head off.

The strain of the catch made Amon unable to throw the weapon back. "Just an act? So you went along with all of this. What do you think is going to happen when the other Equalists find out about what you did to us this day?"

The Amon laughed slowly coughing up bits of blood that lightly splatter in the inside of his mask. "I didn't have any plans to take away your bending this day Avatar. I knew that if I did I would have just made you a martyr casing benders from all over the world to rally behind you."

The masked man slowly started to walk forward until he heard a clank looking down he saw that the Avatar's machete was right next to his feet. "But now it seems that my plans have gone into an antithesis."

Korra's eyes stopped glowing and the steam emitting from her body ceased as well as she stopped reaching for her back and folded her arms. "Antithesis? You made that up no way there's a word called antithesis" she replied snappily with an eye brow raised and her head tilted to the said as if she was saying say whaaaaaaaaa?

"It means the opposite or turned around!" Amon yelled back erratically. "Thanks to your efforts tonight the surviving members of my Equalists will despise you more than they already have. After tonight every non bender in this nation will look to me as their savior against Avatar Korra, The Mad Jester and when the city will turn on you as they write your name down in the history books as the Mad Avatar you'll only have yourself to blame for letting Naruto Uzumaki the stranger from beyond the stars corrupt you!"

Korra sneered as she gave her neck a few cracks. "Whatever like I'm supposed to take life advice from some nut bar in a mask. Naruto's my best friend sure we argue and yell at each other but deep down I trust him just as much as I do my own mom and dad." Korra gave her knuckles a few pops as well. "Someone like you isn't going to make me loss faith in Naruto or anything he's taught me."

"Don't say I didn't warn you." With a flick of the wrist Amon used the fog to launch the machete in the air for him to snatch with his free hand. Using every ounce of strength he had he aimed the weapon at Korra just as he let it go falling back to the ground only to shoot it right at her thanks to a well placed kick from the tip of his boot.

Korra instantly went back into the Avatar state and threw the second black earth disk she had on her back. The disk intersected the machete, both objects were traveling at the same speed and both were matched in durability making both weapons clang and fall back on the ground thanks to the countered momentum.

But as the two weapons were previously racing towards each other so was Korra. In a flash she pivoted around the trajectory of the disk and machete and ran towards Amon like a locomotive. With one fist behind her she charged at the masked man who saw her coming towards him the second their weapons clanked each other.

Amon swiveled on the heels of his feet which in turn gave him a shiver of pain that traveled over his body casing him the flinch and unable to defend himself with his secret weapon.

One blink, that's all the time it took for Korra entering into Amon's close combat zone using her left hand to grab onto his porcelain mask while using her right to thrust forward and demolish Amon's spiral scar.

Unlike her last hit she had built up enough force to not only rupture the Equalist's wound but made his whole body go flying backwards ripping off the straps around his mask making it stay secured in Korra's hands as Amon himself was blasted.

Korra watched as her opponent's body skid helplessly across the court yard only to trigger another one of the snares hidden in the fog which dragged him even more over towards the edge of the Island to be dangled under the lookout deck along with the other Equalists who most likely by now had passed out due to having the blood rushed to their heads.

Korra smiled seeing that her first solo Avatar campaign had gone in her favor. She looked down at the white porcelain mask in her hands holding it up to the light in order to get a better look at it.

"Korra!" the sound of a flapping cape told her that Tenzin had finally waited in the side lines long enough to see if she was in trouble.

The sound of sirens from police airships and the swivels of climbing ropes also told her Tarrlok and the rest of the task force had arrived as well.

Korra could hear the gasps coming from both men as they were probably stunned at the sight of destroyed public property as well as at least a dozen captured or knocked out Equalists scattered around in front of them.

Turning around the Avatar saw both Tenzin and Tarrlok talking a steep back when they looked back at her. No doubt the sight of her smeared war paint over her bruised, bleeding, and at least judging by the pain black eyed face was something they weren't prepared to see.

"Korra are you alright?" Tenzin asked as he placed his hands on her shoulders. "What happened to you was this Amon's doing?" the Air master gently grasped Korra's chin as he tilted it from side to side like a doting mother worried about their child's injury's from a playground scrap. "And what are you wearing?" the last comment sounded like a judgment from a fashion snob rather than an upset parent.

Just as gently placing Tenzin's hands down Korra reassured him. "Of course I'm ok everything went off fine." Using her free hand she pointed at her mug. "This was just me getting a little to carless Amon brought some back up with him and they caught me by surprise at one point. Trust me it's nothing I've gotten worse when I'm training with Naruto."

"What about Amon himself." Tarrlok asked as the councilman rushed over towards the master and student. "Did he escape?"

Smiling like it was her birthday Korra slyly handed the mask of Amon over to Tarrlok who hesitatingly took it looking at the painted mask in disbelief. "No one escaped I got all of them or at least the ones Amon brought with him. Me and Naruto knew that jerk would bring some back up so I caught most of his flunkies out here." she pointed her thumb behind herself at the courtyard.

Looking past Tarrlok's shoulder Korra addressed some of the officers behind him. "I knocked out some other Equalists in the base of Aang's statue!" she hollered over towards the uniformed officers who saluted and ran off the gather them just as she turned back to Tenzin. "I ended up punching Amon so hard that he tumbled and got caught in one of my snare traps that dangles you over the ledge of the lookout post over there." She pointed over towards were Amon's body had been dragged off to.

"I don't believe it" Tenzin whispered in doubt as he looked at the mask in Tarrlok's hands. "You stopped the Equalists without Amon the rest of them will surely fall apart."

"I don't know about that." Korra shrugged "I think they're the kind of people who would say Amon is a symbol that can be worn by anyone or something cliché like that." The Avatar patted Tarrlok on the shoulder and started to head towards the port were her boat was docked at.

"Korra where are you going?" Tenzin asked franticly still trying to proses at what had happened on his father's memoriam.

"I'm bushed going to hit the showers and get to bed." Korra replied without turning around as she picked up her earth disks and machete stashing the blade at her waist while securing the disks on her back. "But first I gotta see Naruto. I can't wait to tell him how awesome I was!"

Left alone the two councilmen stood stunned as they watched the young lady run off into the night only for Tarrlok to break the silence. "I'm going to make this the center piece of my office." He said talking about Amon's mask as he ran his fingers over the porcelain false face. But one peek through his peripheral vison showed that Tenzin was sending the Northern representative a disappointing look. "Oh I mean it will look even better in the Avatar Museum!" he smiled nervously while trying to save face.

Rolling his eyes at his coworker Tenzin floated in the air as he started to make his way over to the ledge where Korra pointed at before. Looking down at the ground he let out an air blast from his mouth clearing the ground from the fog so that the oncoming officers who were rounding up the trapped Equalists in the courtyard wouldn't get caught themselves on the remaining traps.

As Tarrlok watched Tenzin fly away he looked back at his fingers noticing that they were covered in some sort of substance. Feeling the texture and seeing the color he recognized what it was. "Blood….and Stage makeup? I can understand the blood but why is there stage make up on the inside of the mask?"

Over the Edge

Once Tenzin reached the edge of the Island he saw that the fog was originating from a series of wooden buckets that were taped alongside the island. All the buckets were decorated by what he knew were Naruto's sealing sigils taking a shot in the dark the sigils must have been why the fog raised out of the buckets and blanketed the island's courtyard.

Going into a nose dive Tenzin followed the trail of trip cords down to where there victims were dangling from. Once he elevated low enough the Airbender could see that all of the Equalists had passed out from hanging upside down for too long, all but one.

Floating closer Tenzin started to feel pale when he saw that one of the cords had been broken freeing its prey from ensnarement. His fear started to grow when he realized that the Equalists that were still there were all identical, which meant the one hanging from the broken cord was Amon!

Tenzin looked down at the sea below seeing the waves crashing into the islands foundation along with the pointy jagged rocks that lay directly below. Grabbing the fluttering cord Tenzin pulled it until he reached the end of it. "This cord isn't broken it looks like it was cut." Letting the cord dangle again he saw that were the rope ended there seemed to be a mysterious object imbedded into the island rock foundation.

Reaching over and yanking the object free he saw that what had cut the cord and freed Amon was. "An arrow, a black arrow?"

Meanwhile a Little Bit Away From the Coast Line

Amon fluttered his eyes open as he felt pain pulsating all over his body. Letting out a grown Amon could sense that his body was rocking back and forth as well as being close to the ocean.

Swish!

Ok extremely close like he was on a speed boat because a wave of salt water just splashed over him burning all of his open wounds! "Ahhhhhhh!"

"Oh quit your bitching boss we're almost to our final destination."

The ringing in Amon's ears died down letting hear his drivers harsh words as he tilted his head to see that the operator of the speed boat was none other than Xian one of the mercenaries he hired to train the first round of recruits for the Equalist Party.

The boat started to slow down as the engine began to decline as it died.

"Wow it looks like the Avatar did a real number on him." A voice Amon didn't recognize said as he felt the same person hop on the boat.

"I did the inventory." Xian said as he walked right in front of Amon looking down at the broken man. "One broken leg one fractured, a few fractures on each of his ribs, extreme damage to his left arm like his bones were grounded up into powered, some internal bleeding, oh and you'll probably like this one complete destruction of his gastrointestinal tract."

"Ohhhh no he was no guts so he gets no glory!" the mysterious voice sang out. Amon could see that the irritating voice belong to a man wearing a long black clock that hid his face in a hood that was essentially a veil of pure darkness. The hooded man clapped his hands together as he jumped up and down.

"Yeah I thought you might get a kick out of that" Xian said neutrally as he pointed over towards Amon's stomach. "All that's keeping the rest of his gut in is a roll of scotch tape and some plastic tubbing I found. If he doesn't get some medical attention soon you'll lose another candidate for Project Vajra."

The hooded figure waved his hands dismissing Xian. "Oh he wouldn't fit the criteria even if he wasn't broken into pieces we are looking for an average Waterbender. Based on me research Bloodbenders tend to have an over developed Light Chakra that would make them unable to make the transformation into the next element."

Amon stopped grunting as he felt his body grow even more cold then it already was. That hooded man he said Bloodbender, he knew! But how could he have known!

"Ok so was it a mistake to bring him over here?" Xian asked. "Did you want me to leave him tied up like the AKAKKAKAKAKAK!" Xian couldn't speak another proper word as he found an invisible force choking the life out of him.

With his only remaining good appendage Amon used his right hand to control and bend Xian to his will.

"You know the more you try to bend in your current condition the more likely you're going to end up stroking out." The Hooded figure said as he crouched down on the boat to get closer to Amon. "And as funny as that will be to watch I'm going to need that charismatic brain of yours to be at full power in the coming days ahead."

Amon released Xian only to turn his attention towards the hooded figure who he tried to bend with all of his might. The hooded figure laughed at Amon as the Bloodbender realized that he couldn't control the man before him.

"Sorry nukaq but even if you were in your prime you wouldn't have the juice to bend all of this." The Hooded Figure used his hands to illustrate his hidden form. He then turned his attention towards Xian who was busy rubbing his throat from the pain before. "Turn the boat back on and get me to my lab we got work to do."

"Fine" Xian grunted still rubbing his throat. "But if that fucker tries to bend me again I'm stabbing him in the eye with an arrow!" the dark archer turned the boat back on and charted the course to the hood's lab.

"Who…..who are you?" Amon whizzed out before coughing up some blood and feeling the dark grip of death slowly embracing him.

The hood chuckled a bit as he injected a liquid into Amon's neck. "Oh I'm just a believer in the one universal truth."

Amon unable to speak used his eyes to ask the hood what he was talking about.

The hood understood Amon's inquire so he elaborated. "That which doesn't kill us…" the hood paused as he grabbed the edges of his hood and pulled it down showing his self to be a man with pale leathery skin that was partly visible under a series of white bandage wrapping over his face, head and neck only letting little bits of his pale wrinkly skin and tuffs of black hair squeeze through. "…Simply makes us stranger!" the hood let out another laugh as he watched Amon stare back at him in turmoil.

For you see it wasn't the hood ghoulish appearance, the sedative coursing through his veins or even the current state of his body that made Amon frozen in horror it was the Hood's eyes.

The same cold pale blue eyes that tormented and pushed him into taking his first steps towards become a monster. The same eyes that looked back at him in terror when he was forced to Bloodbend his own brother. the same eyes he saw every day in the mirror before he put on his mask.

This man, this hood had the same eyes as him. Those were the last thoughts Amon had before drifting off into drug filed dream land.

"What the fuck!"

The hood quickly put his hood back on as he jumped to his feet. "What happened are we under attack!" he asked looking from port to starboard. "Crap did the cops follow us!"

"No, no one's following us it's just…that's what you look like under that hood?" Xian asked as he kept switching from looking ahead to back over towards his boss. "I kind of thought you were a guy with no face."

"A guy with no face?" the hood replied back. "Like what, you thought I lost it in a drag race or something?"

"No but since the day I met you I always had this story in the back of my head that you sold your face to Koh the Face Stealer spirit in exchange for great power or something." Xian yelled over his shoulder.

"That's stupid why would a spirit who's called the Face Stealer make a deal with anyone he could just steal duh?" the hood slapped Xian upside the head. "Instead of wasting time fantasizing on what I look like you should get your head in the game, number fifteen. After all tonight's a victory for us." The hood looked back over towards Amon as he started to prep his test subject for surgery. "We just got our dark knight."

Air Temple Island

When Korra got back to her home away from home she didn't even waist time tying up her boat as she raced from the dock, to the beach, and then towards Naruto's room in the boy's dormitory.

Even with the throbbing pain on her face and the stinking sanitation of her face paint mixing with her cuts she couldn't stop smiling her head filled with tonight's adventure was acting as a pain killer for her at the moment.

Turning around the corner she stopped running and started to step more quietly when she trenched towards the dorms. Getting more and more excited by the minute she was about to open the giant window that lead into Naruto's room when she noticed that it was already partly opened. Smiling she ran faster and divided right into the room.

Naruto only wearing his boxer shorts was busy changing the sheets on his bed. As he finished setting the new coverings he picked up the old sheets looking at the streaks of wet and sticky spots that coated the used bedding. "I'm going to have to wash these myself defiantly don't want Aunt Pema finding out about this."

Just as Naruto was debating on rather to wash the sheets now are sneak them clean latter he felt a presences entering through his window.

"I won!" Korra rolled into the room landing with her fist pumped into the air as she jumped onto Naruto's bed. "I did everything we trained for the past week and totally kick ass!"

Naruto's face turned red as he dropped the sheets behind his back and kicked them under his bed as he sat nervously on the edge of the mattress.

He then tried to quiet the Water Tribe girl down while panning his head towards his door. "Korry that's great but you should keep your voice do….." he was quickly interrupted when Korra grabbed Naruto's face and directed his attention towards her.

"You're not listening space boy, I beat Amon!" she shook Naruto's head a little trying to get her point across. "Do you know what this means? No more Equalists, no more Revolution, no more creepy guys in masks taking away people's bending it's all over! I can finally focus on Pro-Bending and getting you into the Spirt World to free the beasts, it's smooth sailing from here on out!"

"Korra?"

The Avatar heard a familiar and very soft voice call out to her from Naruto's bedroom door. Turning her and Naruto's head over to said opening she saw Asami Sato Clad in a lavender negligee that clung to the young woman's body in all the right places standing in the doorway holding onto what looked like a toiletry bag while wearing Naruto orange and black jacket over her nightgown.

"What happened to your face?" Asami gasped as she dashed over to Naruto's bed while rummaging through her bag trying to find something to wipe the smudged war paint off Korra's mug.

"I'm fine Asami." Korra slowly got off of Naruto's bed and took a few steps back. "But what are you doing here?"

"Oh" Asami's cheeks began to change shades as she nervously looked back at Korra "Well when we wished you luck on the docks It was already pretty late so I thought I could sleep over here like I did before."

"You're not answering my question." Korra clarified "What are you doing here in Naruto's room?" her voice sounding as graveled as it was when she intimidated the Equalists.

Placing her bag down and shimming out of Naruto's jacket she replied. "Like I said before it was late and I didn't want to sleep in your room because I thought you'd want your bed to yourself after tonight so I thought…"

"…So you thought Naruto wouldn't mind sharing?" Korra finished for Asami as she folded her arms. "You see what I don't get is where did you get that outfit." She used her head to nod at her friends attire.

"Because I don't own anything like that and I'm pretty damn sure none of the acolytes own something like that. So the only conclusion is that's your outfit meaning you had enough time to go home, pack for an overnight trip, and come back here so you could dress all sexy in that concubine costume!"

Having heard enough Naruto got off the side lines and stood between the two girls. "Korry calm down would you."

"Concubine costume?" Asami repeated back rather melancholyely having grown more dejected during Korra's little rant. "This was my mother's." she said firmly pointing to her nightwear.

Korra's aggression turned to guilt. "I'm sorry it's just I…..I….I think I should go I'll see you guys in the morning!" Korra turned around and bolted out of the room through the window heading to the beach.

"Korry wait!" Naruto called out as a small part of him had wished that the two girls really did get into a physically confrontation in hopes they would enter in what Jiraiya called a cat fight.

"Come on." Asami grasped Naruto's jacket and put it back on as she headed towards the window. "That cooling suit I made for Korra's going to freeze her to death if she wears it in cold climates and not Steambending."

As Naruto put on his orange pants that were lying on the floor next to Asami's red skirt he couldn't help but admire that Asami was more worried about Korra then she was mad about the Avatar's comment until something popped in his head.

"Wait a minute Sami what's a concubine anyway?" he asked not actually knowing what Korra had called the outfit.

Sighing as she was about to jumped out the window she told him. "It's another word for mistress."

"Oh that's not so bad I thought it was another word for prostitute"

…..Asami stopped turned around with a look that was beyond anger and malice as she glared a barrage of daggers at the ninja. "EXCUSE ME?!"

Naruto stood froze unable to blink or look away at Asami having for the first time witnessing her pissed off look of anger. "Korry's the one who said it!" the boy who had faced monsters, gods, and demons cowardly said back as for the first time in his life he felt what true fear was.

The Beach

Korra sat on the shore line her knees resting next to her chest as she stared out into the moon lit ocean. She let out a sigh and placed her forehead on her knees. "They're a couple." She thought to herself reflecting on what had happened moments ago.

"That's what couples do they kiss they go out and then they go back to the other one's home and they…..they." Korra lifted her head up a little bit and sighted out loud. "I thought they were just goofing around. Having fun, I should have known they'd get closer Asami's smart and cool and Naruto's warm and nice they should be happy together, I should be happy that their happy." She let her head hang down again still dejected. "But why do I feel like crap."

"Probably, because you have crap all over your face."

Korra lifted her head up again and leaped on to feet in surprise when she saw a woman that she'd never seen before standing right beside her.

The stranger stood around 8 feet tall and wearing a straw kasa hat that had a ring of lite candles melted around the brim.

Under the hat the tall woman hand long flowing brown hair that almost looked like a shade of dark orange like the color of the setting sun.

The Woman hand flowers tangled in her strands that still seemed to be alive as they looked healthy and radiant as unpicked wild flowers did.

The stranger was wearing a dress similar to the one Asami wore to the banquet dinner only with the dress having a mix of yellow and, orange like an Air Nomads garb. And unlike Asmia's outfit this woman had on a long kimono jacket that was red mixed with brown with the red pattern looking like fallen leaves and the brown looking tree branches.

Korra couldn't stop gapping at the stranger as the woman raised one of her long yet elegant fingers up titling her hat to show that like Korra her face was decorated in paint as well.

White paint covered her whole face, ears, and neck and over the white background where black markings on her nose and around her eyes and cheek bones and black lines running down each of her lips giving the impression of her face looking like a human skull.

Yet it was the other designs on her face that made her less frightening. Around the black around her eyes were yellow and red peddles making each of her eyes looking like sun flowers. On her forehead as and orange circle surrounded by red peddles. That same flower like design was also on her chin with green leaves and red flowers stems running along her chin.

"So what happened?" the tall woman asked as she seemed to glide closer to Korra. "Were you trying to copy my look? You more like a deranged harlequin then me little one." The woman stretched her hand out and was about to get a better look at Korra only for the Avatar to create a fire ball and throw it at the woman as warning.

"Look I don't…" Korra froze and her eyes widened when she saw that her fireball had passed right through the brightly covered woman like she was made of air. Slowly tilting her head the Avatar looked the woman in eyes before asking. "Are…are you a spirit?" she asked swallowing a gulp that bubbled in her throat.

The woman leaned her neck and head in more not taking her eyes off Korra. "I call me Hathor." The spirit waved her arms creating a bouquet of red leaves that fell to the ground. "Have a set." She said insinuating that the pile of leaves was like a chair as she sat down on them first. "I think it's time that you and I finally had a chat, Halfling."

AN: Sorry it took so long but what can you do. Korra's Steambending suit and weapon of disks are based on Quorra's from Tron Legacy sort of a play on their similar names sort of reference. Who knows when Korra finally gets Airbending down I'll put in a reference to another Cora or should I say Cora-San ha ha ha get it! Law fans do you get it! Ha ha ha…ah what do you know! Oh and sorry for the paragraph long description of Hathor. If you want to see a better picture of her then the one I tried to glue in your heads follow this link
