"Don't listen to what she said back there, Regina," Emma reassured Regina as she helped her to sit in the front seat of her yellow bug.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she sniffled and winced as she tried to buckle herself in.

Leaning in to help her she placed her hand on Regina's taking the seat belt from her and letting it slide back into it's home, "You know you can't lie to me and I know that what she said back there really hurt you. I, uh, was living with this one family and they had a kid who told me that my parents had given me up because they probably wish I had never been born. So I know what's it's like, you're feeling angry and upset and you probably want to bash her face in right about now. But deep down you've probably been wondering what is their for me now, why was I born, nobody loves me? Because they all still see you as the Evil Queen, but I see you Regina, I see your pain and I see how your mother's decisions and actions have forced you to be stronger then you really have to be. All that evil you've done was probably just a scared little girl acting out for attention because her mother ignored her happiness by forcing her own on her."

Tear's in her eye's, her lips trembling, with no words to fight back with, Regina willed herself not to cry because she knew that Emma Swan was right, she was always right. Everything she said hit too close to home and it pained her even more that Emma had felt such pain growing up and it was her fault, if she hadn't set that curse loose, if she hadn't let her heart be so tainted...this was all her fault.

Emma's gaze never left her own, "I can see it in your eyes, what you're thinking Regina and none of this is your fault. You have to stop blaming yourself. Yes, you've done some really evil things in the past, but that's the past. You have to let go of that, I'm sure in time everyone around here will eventually forgive you," holding her face in her hands Emma's unwavering gaze never left Regina's, "I forgive you, Regina. I forgive you, you're forgiven and you are loved...Henry and I, we care about you. So don't you ever for one second think that your life isn't wanted or needed. We're you're family Regina, whether you want us to be or not."

Then taking the seat belt and reaching over to click it into place securely around Regina, Emma pulled back pausing mere inches from her face. So close that Emma could feel the trembling hot breath escape Regina's lips. Smiling she took a lock of black hair and pushed it behind the former evil queen's ear before she pulled away and shut the door to the bug. Finally getting into the driver's side she glanced over at Regina and noticed her head tilted down with her hair covering her eyes as she clenched her fists in her lap, gritting her teeth and trying so hard to fight the relentless tears as if they weren't already streaming down her cheeks.

Starting the engine and putting the car into drive Emma reached a hand over and gently covered those shaking hands with her own. As she drove Regina back to her mansion to tend her to wounds she only hoped the physiological wounds would heal just as easily as the physical and that in the process perhaps Regina would learn to love forgive herself. Then maybe she'd learn to love herself just as Emma had certainly grown to love Regina as well.
