Edward kept shaking his head, his eyes wide. "I don't understand."

"He's my son and he was conceived on the night of my rape." I told him, still in the same position he found me in.

He frowned, confused. "He can't be more than an hour old. That night happened centuries ago and you said you aborted him..."

"Lucifer brought him back. Look at this note he gave me," I held up the note I got that came with the baby at him. "This looks exactly like the one I received the night he raped me, but the message is different."

He took it from my hand and read it, then looked at me. "So what does this mean?"

"I think that he is trying to say that even though the baby may be raised by me, but eventually, he will turn into his own father." I replied. "I don't know what to do with the child."

I looked down at the nameless baby that was my son, staring at his beautiful features. He had an adorable sprout of brown hair on his scalp, and his closed eyes drew me closer to him.

"Lucifer knows that I cannot resist him." I said in sudden realization. "He knows that I can't resist my own flesh and blood."

"What are you suggesting now? To get rid of him? It's a baby, Bella." Edward sighed.

"I will have to raise him, then." I said, determined. "Lucifer cannot change the fate of anyone, and he only gets to do that by luring them into the dark side. I will make sure this child won't be tempted by his own father."

I cooed at the child in my arms as I rocked him, standing. I pulled away a little of the blue blanket that wrapped around his tiny body as he suckled on his thumb with his green eyes that he inherited from Lucifer staring up at me blankly.

I heard two knocks on my bedroom door and the door opened, revealing a wide-eyed Annie as she stared at the baby in my arms.

"Bella..." Her words faded as she frowned at me then the baby. "Who's that...?"

I bent down to her height and she came over to me, looking down at his face. He studied her features. "Annabelle," I started, "this is my son, Alexander Octavius."

Surprisingly, she didn't ask where he came from after years of knowing me. "What's his last name?" She simply asked.

"Maybe he will take after our last name," I pushed the loose strand of her hair behind her ear as I smiled softly. "Alexander Octavius Swan."

She looked at him again. "He's cute."

I kissed her forehead. "Yes, he is. Come now, get ready. We're going to visit Edward's family. Wear that white dress with your bright blue coat." I told her and she ran out of the door.

I placed Alexander on my bed for a second as I changed into an Alice + Olivia cream floral dress with a pair of cap-toe silver heels from Gucci, then headed out with a black Longchamp bag big enough for all of the essentials for babies. I just got him today, and I was adjusting to the fact that I was going to raise a child from his first day, but the thing that scared me most was the feeling that he was going to turn evil like his father.

As I walked down, I saw Edward waiting for me. He smiled and allowed Alexander to play with his long fingers comparing to his tiny fragile ones.

Edward must have caught the look on my face, because he pursed his lips. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"Are you sure we can go to your coven's house again? The last time I went there was terrible, and now I am bringing the children for the first time." I told him.

"It'll be fine. You'll have me in case anything happens." He kissed my lips chastely and then had his arms wide when Annie ran to jump into his arms.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Edward." She grinned.

"Good afternoon to you too, Annie. Shall we go now?" He asked, then gave me a wink. I broke into a small smile and we got into his car. He drove at a slower speed than he usually did, probably because there were children in the car.

We arrived at the familiar fancy Victorian mansion again and I took a deep breath as I looked up at the building.

"Is this Mr. Edward's house?" Annie asked as she jumped out of the car.

"Yes, sweetheart. Come now," I told her and she stood behind me closely. Edward opened the door for us and I could hear the sound of the television turned on in the living room. No one else seemed to be anywhere but there, so we entered the room. Rosalie & Jasper were playing chess with each other, while Alice read an issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine and Esme was knitting casually. Carlisle was watching some travel program on TV and Emmett was using an iPad to watch a recent WWE showdown.

Their heads snapped up when my heels clicked into the room.

It felt like the first time I was here all over again. Even Annie who stood behind me was hugging my legs tightly as she hid her face.

"Isabella, you're here again!" Esme stood up and smiled, approaching us to hug me. I couldn't hug her back since Alexander was in my arms. She looked at the children and I knew what was the inevitable question she was going to ask.

"Who are they?"

I looked down at the floor and frowned for a second before looking at Annie who seemed reluctant to even look at Esme. "This is my niece, Annabelle. You can call her Annie." I told her.

Esme bent down to Annie's height. "Hello," she greeted. "I'm Esme."

Annie didn't respond, but she hid further.

Esme chuckled and then stood up fully again. I smiled. "She's just uncomfortable with new people, but she will adjust." I said.

"Then what about this little boy here?" She then peered at Alexander. "He can't be more than a day old, to be honest."

I froze, then looked at Edward for help. He stepped forward. "He was just born today." He nodded at Esme.

"Who's child is this?" She asked further, frowning.

"Before I say anything else, can I speak to Rosalie alone?" I said.

Said person glared at me. "What for?" She spat.

"I want to talk to you about something." I just told her. She huffed, rolling her eyes as she gave in and stood up. "Edward, can you take care of Annie for a while?" I asked.

"What about Alexander?" He looked at the baby boy in my arms worriedly.

"He's the reason why I want to talk to Rosalie." I told him. "Annie doesn't feel comfortable here, so try to keep her occupied without me here. I'll be with Rosalie for a few minutes."

He reluctantly nodded and held his hand out for Annie, who immediately and willingly went to him.

I smiled at Esme who was still in front of me. "You don't mind if I talk to her for a while, do you?"

She shook her head, although she still seemed curious about Alexander. "Of course. Go ahead."

"It's nice to see you all," I acknowledged the rest and followed Rosalie to the backyard of the house.

We walked on the grass and she turned around to face me, her arms folded. "What do you want to talk to me about?" She had a cold gleam in her eyes but it melted a bit when she glanced at Alexander.

"I know that you don't like me, but I have a feeling that you've gone through something similar as me." I said.

She scoffed. "How would I go through what you've possibly gone through too?"

I sat on the grass, my legs to my right as I continued to hold Alexander in my arms. Rosalie eyed me incredulously, but she took a seat too.

"I was born on September thirteen, fourteen forty-one," I started. "My life was absolutely perfect with my maidens there to serve & talk to me and my days spent with my darling horses. I had the perfect parents who enjoyed giving me lavish gifts and I was the envy of every girl in the country because I had a lot of admirers, including princes from other kingdoms who stayed at my parents' castle for a visit. It wasn't rare that they would ask for my hand in marriage, but I declined, usually. I liked being something they couldn't have that easily, so they would do romantic gestures a lot.

"I was having dinner with my family when my mother was giving me strange looks, as if she was scared that something was going to happen. I ignored the glances she casted at me and after that whole dinner, I went to bed and I was probably asleep for three hours until I heard a scream from my chamber. I checked out what was happening, so I got out of bed and searched the hallways when I saw my mother on the floor dying with a messy wound through the stomach. She told me to run and I didn't know why, but I just did.

"I ran and ran until there was a dead end. I closed my eyes and I didn't want to see anything. A witch came and she told me to go back to hell, but I didn't understand what she was talking about. I just said no, and so she left me here as a demon. I remember my wings suddenly growing on my back and my claws just... coming out. It was so painful and I just went back to my chamber, praying that that was all just a dream, but when I prayed, I got burned. That was when I realized that I was alone in this situation, with no one I could pray to." I looked at her and her fingers were just swaying in the grass softly, but I knew she was listening intently. There wasn't any sign of hostility from her.

"I woke up the next day and found that I was ridden of my virginity," I continued and I watched as her finger stopped the slow motion she was doing and she tensed up. "I was raped, to make things worse. I didn't know since I was sleeping and the devil himself came and raped me, making things worse. He wanted to check up on me and he acted on impulse. There was evidence since fresh blood stained the skirt of my nightdress. That was the worse night of my life.

"For the next few weeks, I couldn't act normal, and my father brushed it aside since he probably thought that it was because of my mother's death. He didn't even mourn, which made me see things that I had never even realized since I was too wrapped up in my silly world for so long. He didn't even love my mother anymore, but he adored me. I then found out that I was pregnant from that night I was raped and tried to commit suicide by thrusting a dagger through my stomach, but I survived. The child didn't, though. I was so scared that if I didn't kill what was inside of me, it'd be a monster like its father.

"I then had the courage to finally tell my father what had happened the night my mother died and when he heard about it, he demanded that I would be locked up in the dungeon below the castle. I screamed and cried so hard, begging him not to, but all he did was call me the devil's mistress. For almost a decade, I was locked up and I was treated like I had never even existed. I was finally freed when a small boy named Lucas came and unlocked my door. He was my half-brother, since my father married another and my father died on the day Lucas found me. His new wife treated me like family even though she knew of what I am, and they were my new family."

She finally looked up at me. "Is this child yours or...?" She glanced at Alexander then at me again.

"He's mine. When I aborted him that night, he went to hell and for these past few days, Lucifer himself had been visiting me. He is trying to get me to go to hell with him, so he thought that bringing Alexander back into my life as a newborn would tempt me to come back with him. So far, I'm not tempted, but I will raise him." I explained.

She sighed, another side of her revealing to me. "I've always wanted children. My life was perfect too, but I was..." She trailed off, clenching her fists. "I was probably in a worse condition than you when you woke up after that horrible night you went through, but I went through the same thing as you."

My eyes widened. "You were...?" I left the last word since I realized it had hurt her a lot.

She nodded. "It was my ex fiancé and his friends. I was dying because of what happened."

I pursed my lips. "Would you like to carry him?"

Shock flashed across her eyes. "You'd actually let me?" She raised her eyebrows.

"Yes," I replied.

She held out her arms in anticipation and I slid him into her arms, where he was sleeping soundly with his eyes closed. She gave me a soft smile that I was sure not many people got to see. "Thank you. He's adorable."

"He's just a few hours old, so be careful." I told her.

She continued to look down at Alexander and placed a tender kiss on his forehead. I was surprised that he didn't stir due to her temperature. "He's precious." She whispered, then looked at me guiltily. "I'm sorry for being so horribly mean to you. I didn't know what you went through."

"That is alright. Anyways, there are two children in my household, so you're welcome to visit anytime." I smiled. "Thank you for listening. I just... wanted to straighten things out a little."
