The Trip to the Vet

Summary: Dr. Collins always told Theo a million times that he would do house visits for his goats. Does he listen? No….
Disclaimer: Don't own them
Dr. Collins told Mr. Martin a million times that he would do house visits for his goats. Excuse…Theo.
But does he listen?
Nope.
Every six months, Theo brought in his goats. It was like a circus coming to town. Funny enough, he couldn't have a better group of patients. Theo had them trained. They were the most organized and well behaved herd of goats that he has ever seen. Any hint of trouble like when a goat was trying to get into trouble (eating Ms. Cowling's dress) or climbing something (like his new SUV). Theo would give them a look and they would stop.
That wasn't the biggest problem.
Theo always paid on time and his goats were awesome.
No, it was the circus that followed them.
There was that time with the police officer which was hilarious.
Theo stood outside of his practice and argued with the officer about leash laws.
"Your goats are breaking the law," The officer said.
"Oh?" Theo said.
"They don't have any leashes."
Theo just titled his head.
"I thought that law applied to dogs."
"No, sir. All animals are on a leash."
Theo stared at the officer for the longest time. He watched the officer starting to look uncomfortable. He could understand that because despite height, Theo could be quite intimidated. Theo turned around to look at the goats. One of the goats lifted up his head from eating.
Theo stared at the goat for a moment then turned around.
"Very well. How much are your collars and leashes, Dr. Collins?" Theo said.
He pulled it on them and that was that. Of course, the officer's face was hilarious. Poor guy couldn't make heads or tails of it.
Theo and the goats looked a little smug about the whole incident.
If it ended with the officer, it would be okay. No, there came the children.
The children loved the goats but there were Theo's rules. No touch from the kids. You may touch but the goat must be able to see you and must be approaching you. No rough housing with them. Everyone must follow them. Of course, some people tend not to listen.
In response, they get bitten or kicked.
There is fighting and threatening to sue.
Hasn't happened yet but he is always waiting for it to happen.
There are the children who want to keep the goats. They would beg to their parents or guardians. In some cases, Theo did give a goat or so away. He must have seen something in them because those children came years later with a goat that came to love and care for.
There was Julie.
Her dog was getting a check up. Julie was playing with one of the goats and talking to Mr. Martin. Julie was one sick little girl and she was delighted to be able to play with the goats.
"Does he have a name?" Julie said softly.
"I haven't named him yet. I supposed you are a good little girl?" Mr. Martin said.
Julie nodded her head quickly.
"Hmm…then you can named him."
"Olaf!"
Theo grinned slightly.
"I like it. It suited him."
The little girl's face broke into a huge grin.
"And…and…I can visit him?"
"Anytime, you wish."
Julie jump hugged Theo and he couldn't help but smile.
Despite being a grump, he had a big heart.
It was a pity that she never got to see Olaf again.
Maybe, that is why he only half hearted try for the home visits.
Sure, he would get to know Olaf, Mittens, Black, White, Peter, Pan, Joy, and World.
Of course, there is Goat and Ms. Goat.
Most of there, there is Theo.
And his practice would be less interesting without him.
