So it's been quite a while since I last updated this story. I've been busy and I just had this major writer's block which I hate.

Now that school is in session, I'm not really sure whether I can update as much as I would like too. Sorry, I'm not really a frequent updater as you can see here.

But I would want to thank all of the review I've been gaining and all the follows/favorites. I swear you guys' rock.

Oh by the way, Happy Belated New Years! 2016 hasn't been the best for everybody so hopefully 2017 will be a tad bit better.

Falling in love with a tutor

If you could say that Loke wasn't pissed then you're wrong. He was definitely not in a mood especially after seeing his ex-girlfriend on a date with a nerd. It didn't come to a surprise to him that Lucy would found out about his cheating ways; in fact he was okay with that but to go from him to Natsu it's a complete downgrade in his eyes.

Besides, Loke couldn't process what Lucy sees in Natsu other than the fact that he's weird and super nerdy.

But dating Lucy Heartifilia for over three years, he could definitely picture her with a nerd. After all, Lucy did say she liked a guy for his personality not for his looks.

So when he watched Lucy came to the school the next day, gushing over how dreamy and cute Natsu was towards her friends, made him feel angry.

Angry that a guy like him lost the girl to a nerd that has liken to dragons and spend all of his time dreaming about dating Lucy Heartifilia—when he was with her.

So when Loke had a brilliant idea of trashing Natsu right in front everybody in the entire school, he just couldn't keep the grin off his face.

"Hey guys, I think we need to teach that nerd Natsu a lesson," Loke said.

Lisanna couldn't keep herself from squealing as she was gaining all the moments that happened on Natsu''s date two days ago.

"Yeah it was amazing," Natsu concluded as he shut his locker. He was grinning from ear to ear as he pushed up the rim of his glasses.

"And did you guys, y'know, kissed?" Lisanna asked as she gripped onto her book bag strap. It was only her and Natsu today since Gajeel decided to skip first period and Gray had caught a cold from sneaking out.

"Well, not exactly. The day after our date, I just decided to hand her another assignment," Natsu said as he started to walk to his first period class.

Lisanna face palm. "You mean to tell me that you did not kiss her once at all."

Natsu nodded.

Lisanna rolled her eyes before smiling. "It's amazing how much of idiot you are."

Natsu grinned. "But you love me."

Lisanna laughed. "Yeah I do."

"Okay Lucy, I get that you like "head over heels" for Natsu but shouldn't you be focusing on passing Mrs. Taylor test that's coming in like three weeks?" Levy asked as she furrowed her brows.

Lucy waved her hand in dismissal. "I'm going to ace that test. With Natsu as my tutor, nothing is going to hinder me from passing."

Levy rolled her eyes. "How can you be so sure?"

Lucy closed her locker before smiling at Levy. "It's just a feeling."

Mrs. Taylor came walking down the hallway and she smiled when she spotted Lucy. "Lucy, I was looking for you."

Lucy and Levy exchanged glances before looking back up to Mrs. Taylor.

"Is something wrong Mrs. Taylor?" Lucy asked. She had a very bad feeling. A teacher wanting to approach her wasn't a good sign

"Yes," Mrs. Taylor said before adding, "I actually wanted to talk to you about your retake."

"What about it?"

"Omg, does Lucy have to take her retake earlier?" Levy asked while grinning. She nudged Lucy's elbow before stopping when Lucy glared her.

"Yeah, how'd you know?"

Levy's smiled fell. "I was just playing."

"Wait," Lucy said as she held her hand out. "You mean that I have to take my retake earlier."

Mrs. Taylor smiled sympathetically. "Yes, because grades are closing in a few weeks and I have to put something in, unless you want me to put in your original grade?"

"No," Lucy said. She forced a smile. "No, when do I take it?"

"I decided to place the test next Thursday," Mrs. Taylor said.

"What?!" Lucy and Levy said in union. Somehow Lucy felt like things couldn't get any worse. She now had to start cramming her study sessions with Natsu, although, that wasn't really a bad thing.

"And I decided to change your tutor as well," Mrs. Taylor added.

Lucy's eyes widen. "What, but I thought you said Natsu was going to be my tutor."

Lucy couldn't believe what she was hearing. Everything was happening way to fast for her to process. One minute, she's enjoying her date with Natsu and the next minute she doesn't have him as her tutor anymore. How is that even possible?

Levy glanced over at her friend. She didn't know that this was happening. She just told Lucy to focus on more on her studies than on Natsu, but to see that her friend won't have time to spend with her crush somewhat frustrated her.

"Mrs. Taylor, may I ask but what was wrong with Natsu?" Levy asked. She bit the inside of her cheek.

Mrs. Taylor rubbed her chin. "Nothing was wrong with Natsu. Natsu is an excellent tutor but..."

Lucy raised her brows. "But?"

Mrs. Taylor sighed. "...but there hasn't been any progress with Lucy and her English studies. Not one activity has been handed over so I decided to find a new tutor."

"But you said that Natsu was the only one on the list," Lucy reminded. She remembered that Natsu was the only one to sign the tutor book.

Mrs. Taylor nodded. "Yeah but a new student decided to sign up and surprisingly this student is a friend of yours."

Lucy furrowed her eyebrows. "Who could that be?"

Mrs. Taylor opened the notebook she was carrying and displayed the name that was written.

It read Loke.

Lucy felt her heart dropped. Why would Loke do this?

To see the surprise face from Lucy was an understatement, Mrs. Taylor, herself, was even surprised that Loke would sign up for this but she couldn't deny him since he was the second best English student after Natsu.

"But you can't have Loke tutor Lucy," Levy pleaded, "Please have me do it. I'll get Lucy ready by next Thursday."

Mrs. Taylor shook her head. "I'm sorry but you can't. I already told Loke he could do it. Don't worry Lucy; it's only for a few days. You'll be fine."

Mrs. Taylor smiled at her before walking away from the girls.

Lucy's head was spinning. This was way too many things to sink in. She just lost her crush as her tutor and now she has her ex-boyfriend—that she never wanted to see again—tutor her.

Levy pressed her hand on Lucy's shoulder. "It'll be alright Lu-chan. I'll be there to watch if you need me."

Lucy shook her head. "I got to find Natsu."

It wasn't until fifth period ended that Lucy finally found Natsu. He was talking to his two best friends Lisanna and Gajeel by his lockers. She had to run to him.

"Yeah, I know right and if you level up you will find—whoa Lucy are you okay?" Natsu asked. He watched as the girl was panting loudly, hands on her knees, trying to formulate a sentence.

"Natsu," Lucy breathed, "I got to talk to you alone."

Natsu shifted his gazes on Gajeel and Lisanna.

Lisanna's eyes widen before nudging Gajeel. "We have to go to lunch Gajeel, don't we?"

"Yeah but we have to wait for—ouch!" Gajeel exclaimed. Lisanna just slapped him at the back of his head.

"We just wait for Natsu at our table," Lisanna gritted out. Lucy raised an eyebrow.

Lisanna laughed staring at the duo. Lucy raised a brow. Lisanna pushed Gajeel to the direction of the cafeteria. "We'll meet up with you later Natsu."

Natsu waved his hand. "Bye."

Lisanna smiled before pushing Gajeel. She turned quickly around before mouthing "kiss her" to Natsu.

Natsu rolled his eyes.

"Yo, I can walk short stack," Gajeel said before pushing her lightly.

"Then walk idiot," Lisanna retorted playfully.

Natsu watched as his two friends started to bicker with one another as they faintly disappeared in his eyes.

He landed his eyes back to Lucy.

Lucy laughed as she watched Lisanna and Gajeel went inside the cafeteria. "Your friends are weird."

Oh, how much Natsu adored the way she laughs.

Natsu cleared his throat. "So what did you want to talk to me about?"

Lucy pivoted her head so she can face Natsu. "You mean Mrs. Taylor hasn't told you yet."

Natsu lifted a brow. "No, I was going to speak to her at the end of the day though. Why?"

Lucy swallowed the lump in her throat. "Because..."

"Because...?" Natsu asked. He didn't know for sure but he swore he saw a flicker of emotion in Lucy's eyes when she was gazing at him.

Lucy sighed. "Because Mrs. Taylor told me that you're not my tutor anymore." She stared at him, "Loke is."

Natsu then felt his whole world tumbling down. "What?"

"I know I said the same thing," Lucy responded with the nod of her head.

Natsu then started to pace back and forth. He always does this when something bad happens. It was sort of his habit.

"But why, we're making great progress. The entire practice test you took, you're pretty much acing them and your essay so far looks phenomenal," Natsu said. He let his fingers fiddled with hair.

"Yeah I know but Mrs. Taylor said she hasn't received any paperwork," Lucy replied with bit of her lower lip, "did you give her any?"

Natsu stopped. "She told me to give it to her today, at the end of the day. And now she wants to say that excuse. What is she talking about?"

Lucy shrugged her shoulders before sitting on the bench she spotted. "I don't know but this whole thing seems a bit fishy."

Natsu looked at her. He sat next to her before asking, "How so?"

Lucy stared into space for a moment before replying, "Because don't you find it weird that she just said this today when she knew you were coming at the end of the day. And why would she make Loke as my tutor?"

Natsu knitted his eyebrows together. "Yeah it does sound odd but Loke is like the second best when it comes to English so that sounds plausible if he's going to be your next tutor."

Lucy huffed. "I know but that means I have to spend my time with that a—"

Natsu intercepted immediately. "Butt hole."

"Yeah that butt hole," Lucy rolled her eyes.

"Yeah," Natsu agreed. He put his head in his scarf before muffling, "This sucks."

Lucy couldn't agree more. She glanced at Natsu. His eyes were staring at the floor.

"Well at least we could to still hang out with each other," Lucy said.

"Yeah but it won't be the same," Natsu said.

Lucy lifted a brow before asking. "How come?"

She swore she saw him blushed before putting his head deeper into his scarf.

Natsu muffled. "I won't be able to see you as much."

Lucy felt hear heart quicken and she fought every fiber of her skin to keep herself from blushing but she failed miserably.

She cleared her throat before a sudden idea popped into her mind. "Wait I have a great idea?"

Natsu took his head out of his scarf before landing his eyes on her. "I'm listening."

"Why don't we hold secret tutor sessions, y'know like they do in the movies," Lucy suggested.

Natsu's eyes widen. "I don't know about this Lucy. Wouldn't we get in trouble meeting secretly?"

Lucy rolled her eyes. "What's the worst that can happen?"

Natsu thought for a moment before Lucy raised her hand.

"Nothing is going to happen Natsu. I promise. So are you in?" Lucy asked. She prayed that he'll say yes.

Natsu pressed his lips together. He didn't want to get in trouble. He wasn't use to rebelling against teachers and plus that wasn't his style.

But this was Lucy Heartifilia. The girl he's been crushing on ever since kindergarten. He finally has her attention so why should he give it up.

Besides, the idea was indeed tempting.

Natsu nodded before grinning widely. "I'm in."

Lucy couldn't help but smile.

Mirajane smiled as she heard the conversation. Mrs. Taylor told her to spy on these two since she predicted that Lucy might tell Natsu about her whole situation.

She didn't know why Mrs. Taylor was doing what she was doing but it's probably for the sake of the plan.

Mirajane grabbed her walkie talkie. Mrs. Taylor decided they needed something to have a conversation with.

"Mrs. Taylor, I think they're relationship is about to hit another level," Mirajane said before smiling.

She couldn't wait for what happens next.

I know, I know, its lacking.

Honestly, I was contemplating whether if I should have Loke's new girlfriend as Lucy's tutor but I thought it would be fun to have Loke do it.

It feels so good to finally update. I've been gone for awhile and you guys were probably wondering when I was going to update.
