Author's Note: Wow! I haven't uploaded a story in a long time. I took most of my old ones down. I am very excited about this story. I have had this plot in my head for a long time. I know the beginning and end, but the middle isn't completely finished yet. I am hoping to update this every week. However, this may change. It could be longer or shorter depending on the chapter. Well, I know that most people don't read these, so enjoy! Without further adieu, "Fake Reality"!
Prologue
Rachel sadly sat at a round table surrounded by her fellow glee members. Most of the originals came back to pay tribute to the one and only, Finn Hudson. Just thinking about him made her heart ache. You can never imagine that someone you know personally could die. Sure, you see it on television, but it never seems so real. How could he die? They were endgame. They were going to have a happily ever after. Everyone knew they loved each other. How could something so awful occur? She will never have the opportunity to tie the loose ends. That is what kills her the most, the words left unsaid. At least some things never change, especially Breadstixs. "Hey, Berry. You feelin' okay?"
"I am perfectly fine, Noah. Thank you for your concern," Rachel replied.
With a sigh, Santana rudely interrupted, "Cut it out shorty. None of us are fine."
A guilty look formed on Santana's visage as she saw the tears threatening to spill for Rachel's large, brown eyes. Kurt, who was sitting next to Santana, elbowed the Latina in the ribs. "Apologize," he whispered.
Santana nodded. "Listen, Rachel, I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings. I just wanted you to know its okay to still be upset. We all are."
Normally, everyone would be shocked to hear Santana apologize, but under the circumstances, nobody really noticed. "It's fine. Now if you don't all mind, I think I'll head home. I'm really tired," the diva said.
The glee club all said goodbye, and Rachel began to walk out to her car. Numbly, she got her car keys out of her purse. Right before she unlocked the door, a familiar voice reached her ears. "Hey, Rach. Why so sad? I hate to see you unhappy."
Your head may stay strong, but your mind may go blank. So hold on to your lifeline-reality. You need it as much as you need to breathe. You may be alive, but is your brain? Therefore, I say to you, train your mind to know the difference. Always remember, you can lose it all in a blink of a second.
"Finn?"
So what do you do when you've lost it?
