My resolution for 2017 is to finish at least ONE story.

Professor Sycamore was filled with happiness upon his daughter's safe return, along with heavy guilt over Green's injuries. Hazel babbled on and on about their adventures, skipping over the whole Team Flare fiasco.

"Red and Green and X are just SO cool! I want to be just like them when I get older! And I hope I'm just as pretty as Blue, Yellow, and Y! And smart like Crystal!"

The other Dexholders looked at her in awe.

"I thought my name was blueberry," Crystal muttered.

"I'm pretty?" Yellow gasped.

"Nice to see that I'm just as cool as the two strongest Dexholders," X said.

"Okay, honey, I'm so happy that you're home safe and that you loved your adventures. You're going to be a great Dexholder one day. But right now, you're going to stay home after the...incident."

"Oh, poop," Hazel pouted.

"Thank you for all your help. Especially you, Green. You're a true survivor." The professor slapped a hand on his back, causing the boy wince in pain.

"It's no problem. No pain at all," he lied while gritting his teeth.

The Dexholders said their farewells and departed the lab. As a thank-you gift, Professor Sycamore had paid for their plane tickets back to their home region, first-class seating. Everyone (except for Green) gave one another hugs before they left on the planes.

X and Y watched out the airport windows as the planes roared off into the sky. The pair decided to go grab a coffee, to finish up the afternoon.

"How do you feel about a potential third Dexholder in Kalos?" Y asked with a warm mug to her face.

"I don't know," was X's frank reply. "I hate dealing with her."

"Same," she agreed. "Let's hope she likes being a scientist better than a Dexholder. I don't plan on going to a hair salon soon."

"How does Calem sound as a fake name?"

...

Yellow opened a letter from Kalos. The words were written in sparkly golden ink, along with hearts drawn on the sides of the paper.

Hi Yellow!

This is Hazel! I had so much fun even though you're my love rival. Say hi to Blue for me ask can you ask her what she uses to clean her face? I'm having so many breakouts and I have to go to Trainer School soon. I hope your hand is feeling better. Also, Dad says I can't date anyone so I guess YOU get Red. You poop.

Yellow was confused by the shifting tones in the letter. Did Hazel like or hate her? She shook her head and smiled. One day, the professor's daughter would grow up. And when she does, well, Yellow would send this letter back to her.

How long have I been dead? ...Very long.

I hoped the ending was good. I admit, it was rushed and the story was written by young me who thought writing was going to be easy. Ha!
