Dagger and Beast stood by what they assumed was the back entrance until they head a resounding gunshot fill the air, the ring trailing off in the distance. Which meant that they needed to hurry and grab the kid and leave.

"Sounds like he has bodyguards." Dagger heard his long-time crush nod in conferment as he leaned against the door, listening in to see if there was anybody in there before they broke in and took over. "I s'pose we should expect that from nobles. Let's let out elders handle 'em and we'll find the target."

Bardroy brought the lighter down to his cig as the two intruders came to stop in front of him, before greeting them so casually, like he had been waiting on them for a long time. "Finny took the back door and Mey-Rin took to the sides. Which means you could only get in from-"

The blond chef was rudely cut off by a dagger whizzing by his face, and he was glad he dodged if not, what kind of soldier would he have been then? "Hey, that's dangerous! I was still talkin'!" Using the metal lighter to block each knife thrown his way he sneered at the pure disrespect he was receiving. Taking off to run into the opposite direction, Bardroy was intervened by Beast when she took out her whip, quickly doing a backflip he chided in mock amusement that he wasn't into that sort of thing.

The duo met back up at the bottom of the stairs, and Beast couldn't help but begin to think just how many more servants were there? Was it just them? Were they waiting for reinforcements to show up? What about the others, were they… still fighting? The wild cat tamer shook her head she when heard the blond chef speak up again, she had to focus, this was for Joker… for all of them. To hopefully finally escape.

"Hey Finny, Mey-Rin, give 'em what for."

The two first stringers looked in shock only to see two more servants, one with a statue nearby and one with two guns. Dagger thoroughly surprised the maid was the one to have them. Finnian lifted the statue and threw it down and sneered when they had dodged. Beast quickly leaped out of the way with Dagger in her arms. Making their way down the hall, it was too much.

"Dagger, we'll have to kill them later. First; the target! Because this is such a huge place, we'll have to check every room!" Dagger gave a hum of agreement before pulling the door open. When the door seemed to open as far it would go, that was when the two first stringers had realized it was a trap. Quickly turning around, Dagger and Beast ran the opposite direction before stopping in the hall in front of Mey-Rin.

Beast quickly grabbed the painting that was on the wall with her whip and tossed it at the maid, but none had touched her as the pieces shattered to the floor. The sound of the gun clicking meant that she had run out of ammo and she looked to her partner as a confirmation to take his shot. Mey-Rin quickly dodged the knives that were being thrown at her and quickly reloaded her guns. By the time she stepped out to shoot again, the took had already taken off running again.

Dagger and Beast dodged the bullets as they turned the corner, this was getting out of hand! Were they even going to make it out alive. Beast began to truly wonder if this target was worth risking their lives over. They had everything they could ever want, and more if they put their minds to it. But… their patron… their father. The sound of concrete being dragged down the hall once again pulled Beast out of her thoughts before she heard a sweet giggle and the words in the form of a sing-song voice talking about how the rats were found.

Finny smiled happily as he dropped the statues down before picking up the first one and heaving it in the duo's direction, he had no intention to miss this time. The black and blond haired first stringer threw his daggers, but alas they did nothing. Beast had half the idea to scowl, but their life was on the line and she pushed him down the stairs. It really seemed like they were the only servants and bodyguards this kid had.

They didn't have much long before they were running again because the blond kid who was throwing the statues was ready to fire off again, grabbing Beast quickly, Dagger pulled her off before she was crushed. The rubble now blocked their path from the stairs. Seriously, who were these people exactly?!

"Miss, are you alright?" Beast nodded and looked around.

"With the way, things are going, the earl's probably hiding somewhere. Just this once, we ought to retreat and regroup. Let's get to the roof and meet up with Peter and Wendy." Beast quickly followed behind Dagger as they began to make their way through the stairway and hopefully to the roofs. The way Dagger began to speak of Joker had her thinking once again. This truly was a nightmare, it wasn't worth it after all. The two continued on is silence as they walked and walked until they came upon an entryway that seemed to be lit.

Bardroy greeted the two once again as they had stumbled upon the kitchen, peeling potatoes in this situation wasn't probably the best ideal as he was wide open, and they could attack any moment. But, what did he care anyway. "Poor goose and gander. Must be rough, wandering all over the mansion! Guess my line is, "Welcome to the End of the World—the kitchen." Picking up the strainer and looking through it, the blond chef was suddenly surprised when it was whipped from his hand.

"You're pretty cocky, facing us unarmed!" Beast shouted and watched as Dagger threw his knives but were blocked with bowls and pots.

"Idiot! The kitchen is a chef's sanctuary, where even the butler can't interfere! It's full of tools even the butler doesn't know about!" Bardroy dodged the rest f the knives before hiding behind whatever it is that was covered. Lifting the sheet, he grinned proudly at the work of art that was given to him, tossing it to the ground he watched as the two were thoroughly shocked. "Here I go!"

Beast and Dagger ran as the chef began to fire the machine gun, the blast enough to create holes in just about everything as it maneuvered freely in his grasp.

"It's the latest weapon. Ol' Hiram brought it over from the states!" Beasts' eyes widened as the table she was hiding behind was spilt, was this really it? Shot full of holes, is how she would die. "With this baby, war will be totally different than it was in my day."

Dagger realized he was about to lose the love of his life, and that couldn't happen. Jumping in front of her to save her from the onslaught of bullets, he tackled her to the ground as the chef continued to fire at them. If it truly meant risking his life for this woman, he would. It wasn't until it finally went quiet did the bullets, and the ringing stop as shells littered the floor all over.

"It's got great destructive power, but the accuracy needs some work." Bard commented as he surveyed the damage that the kitchen took. "Better tell the young master it's not ready for mass production…"

Beast whimpered as she opened her eyes, the firing had finally stopped, and she wasn't hit by anything looking around, the raven-haired beauty's eyes widened when she realized Dagger was laying on her, unresponsive. "Dagger! Dagger… you idiot!" Beast cried as she held him in her arms, she couldn't lose him like this. This truly wasn't supposed to happen. Trying to stifle her cries as green eyes opened to look at her probably one last time.

"Thank goodness you're… alright… Run… tell Joker." Dagger knew this was it, touching the lace covered arm he smiled at her feeling the warm tears hit his cheeks and roll down.

"Why? Why would you do that for me?!" Beast cried harder as Dagger began to talk again, reminiscing from when they were completely homeless and had no one. How he had wanted to take her over the hill, and far away. Where they can live happily ever after, as much as they realistically could. How could she have been so stupid to not see it before? He was the one all along yet blindsided by her love for a man who couldn't bring himself to care for her as much as she cared for him. "Dagger!"

The woman cried as she held his lifeless body in his arms, ignoring the footsteps of the chef as she mourned the loss of what truly could have been. This really wasn't worth it in the end after all.

The chef patted the sacks of flour as he began to speak once more. It truly was a shame this beautiful woman had to die, he truly would have loved to meet her in a pub over some beer. But, alas. He had orders to follow through with, and the last thing he needed was, was to have an angry earl followed by his right-hand man through everything, Sebastian. Bard dodged the whip that repeatedly snapped through the air trying to strike him, tossing bags of flour as to not get hit, the more he threw, the more the bags burst open. Ignoring her shrill screams about her friend's death only to answer about getting away with this.

The sudden shatter of a window as more rubble and flour filled the air around them, he quickly made his escape through the hole provided thanks to his lover. "Now that all the prep work's done. Told ya, didn't I? The kitchen is full of secrets." Bard tossed a rope linking to more bags of flour onto the ground as he began to explain how the more a flammable powder is ground, it can finally be used as an explosive. He apologized as he explained once more that this was their job and lit a match and tossed it into the kitchen after lighting his cigarette.

Back at Lord Baron's manor Ciel watched as Joker's face fell completely as the earl began to explain that his staff were personally and privately hand selected soldiers, about how far they will go to protect Phantomhive secrets and pride of the household.

"Because… that's what makes a Phantomhive servant."

"Mally, daughter of the scullery maid Amelia. Born May 22, 1864. Died February 9, 1889 of multiple lacerations and loss of blood caused by an explosion. Ugh, how dull! I was certainly positive any job would involve Sebas-Chan, but he's gone and there's not a single man my type here! This is too dull for words!" Grell sighed deeply as he went through the cinematic records of those whom had passed away at the manor, Ronald shook his head as he watched Grell whine and moan and complain that there was no man for him, he was sure William even couldn't care less about how his partner acted, he would for sure have his ass handed to him later.

"Phantomhive is a shadow which exists solely to dispose of Her Majesty's worries. Once you enter our den, you can never return to the light." Before Joker could speak once more of how his family were pros, Sebastian cut him off, waving the bloodied knife in front of the ginger haired male as he spoke of how he single-handedly picked these people personally. Shifting the sleeping child in his arms, the demon tossed the small knife in his direction.

Joker looked down, and truly hope that they would live even if he couldn't survive this. "Like Tom the piper's son, we can play one tune. We can only do one thing… But… if only… we'd been born in some other country… If we… If our bodies weren't like this… We wouldn't…" Joker broke down sobbing, if things were truly different, they wouldn't be like this.

"Don't cry; it's pathetic. Crying won't change anything. The world is never kind to anyone." Speaking his name boldly, Ciel looked up when he heard a chair squeaking and his eyes widened when he realized it was the doctor.

"Sorry I'm late—I brought more!" The curly haired doctor's eyes widened when he saw the pair standing there in all business.

"Black and Smile? What are you doing here?" Joker coughed as he used what strength he had and turned to look at the man who had cared for them so greatly aside from their "father"

"St- Stay away, Doc! They're… the Queen's guard dog!" The curly haired man covered his mouth before removing it and smiling, Ignoring Joker's raspy cries of telling him to run, the wheelchair bound male stood up suddenly surprising the dying red head.

"Why should I run? You're the kidnappers, and I only did what the baron hired me to do." His footsteps resounding in the otherwise quiet and near empty atrium. Joker was in pure awe as he watched their doctor walk towards them, his legs worked. He could walk.

"Doc… your legs… aren't lame?" The man just smiled and waved him off with his hand stating that his legs were perfectly sound and working, and how he sat in the chair because kids were more likely to trust him easily that way. His eyes widened when they landed on the baron and quickly ran towards him, it was too late though. He was already dead.

"That's just cruel. I'd finally a patron who understood my ideals!" Ciel and Sebastian looked in wonder at the male at his choice of wording. Upon that question, the doctor began to explain how he had worked for years on trying to make the perfect prosthetic. The look in his eyes deranged as he explained further. "And after all that research, at last I arrived at the finest material. Lighter and stronger than wood, and with the unique, sterile beauty of ceramic! I created what no one before me had been able to."

Joker weakly watched as his doctor picked up his discarded prosthetic hand from earlier, "the only problem with my material was that it was a touch difficult to gather."

Sebastian all but complimented his handiwork getting to the bottom of what it was made out of exactly with an all knowing smirk, the doctor exclaimed in genuine praise at the "beauty" of his work but corrected it nonetheless. He scolded the demon at the mere thought of his work being compared to "cattle bone china"

Ciel perked up in interest as they continued on their conversation about the material being used in the doctors prosthetics, he watched as the doctor marveled at the expanse of the room and spun in a circle stating that the only way to get his materials were truly, right here in this room. Ciel's eyes widened when he looked at the unconscious child in Sebastian's arms and then to the doctor.

"It truly save the trouble of dumping them somewhere. Brilliant recycling, don't you think." Joker's eyes widened as he began to have flashbacks of everything that has happened so far, all these children he helped kidnap… they were being used... for this… if he had truly known all along. He didn't want it. He didn't want this! HIs screams echoing in the atrium, the ring leader began to bang his arm on the ground at finally knowing the truth, he was disgusted.

The doc rest his head on the cage as he thought about his career truly being over, that was until he turned to as the young Phantomhive if he could by any chance hire him. Even going as far as to asking him to be introduced to the queen. Talking about how she is getting on in her years and how she could use "maintenance"

The tee had truly heard enough, he was beyond exhausted and thoroughly disgusted.

"Shut your mouth, you scum." He watched as the doctor blatantly insulted him to his face and dragged another little girl from the cage and brought her to the table. Ciel's eyes widened and he stepped back when the flashbacks began, the struggling on the table. The screams… that hand reaching out… their hands… Lillian… " "

The pistol fell with a clank as he began to scream, vomit spilling over his gloves as tears began to leak. It was too much, too much. The blood, his cries. His brother.

Sebastian, cradling Lillian in one arm grabbed the sodden covered glove calling out to his young master. Tripping on his own two feet he landed into his embrace, a gloved finger tracing his vomit covered lips as Ciel hyperventilated trying to calm him.

"You're outside of the cage now, my lord. Now, call my name." His words velvet, swift and nimble fingers pulling the string of his eyepatch off. Fingers gripped tightly at his clothing as he struggled to say the demons name.

"Sebastian! Sebastian! Sebastian! Kill them!" It didn't take long for the small earl to be swept up and carefully placed on Sebastian back while he proceeded to shove his whole arm through the doctors chest. Watching with darkened eyes as the man fell to the floor, and the sudden sound of crunching bones when he realized Sebastian had stepped on the barons head.

"It's over."

"Burn it." Sebastian looked on in curiosity as he asked the young lord if by "it" he meant the mansion.

Ciel looked down at Lillian and removed a glove tossing it to the ground, bringing his bare hand up, he touched her cool skin. Just as he had thought, his eyes narrowed and he pulled his hand back, giving a small hum in confirmation that he did mean the mansion.

"Young master, I gathered from Her Majesty's letter that our current mission is to find the kidnappers and rescue the children. The kidnappers are already…"

Ciel gripped Sebastian's hair and pulled it harshly yelling at him to just shut up, telling him to leave nothing behind, just pure soot and ash. Sebastian sighed when the teen was done yelling at him, he really didn't have a choice in this matter, and he knew that whatever punishment the Queen was to come up with for his disobedience he would just have to take.

Walking over to the flames Sebastian began to control them to spread throughout the entire mansion, the fire burning everything within its path as Ciel had said. Leave nothing behind.

"Yes, my lord."
