GMG: Tie-Breaker: Results
Lucy had never been so exhilarated in her life. When she heard that final judge- who happened to be the Jenny Realight- vote Fairy Tail. It was like a breath of fresh air.
When she calmly walked off the stage, she was met by parades of hugs and congratulations from basically anyone backstage. The one she cherished the most was from Natsu. Even though they were in some silly fight, he still put it behind human- maturely- and congratulated her wholeheartedly.
Now was the serious part again- the part she dreaded.
"So my children, today was a victory. But- tomorrow is another battle- possibly the most important one of the year. And thanks to Lucy, we have the upper hand. Child, do you know what category you've decided?" Makarov asked as the whole Passion ensemble was crowded in their dressing room.
Lucy shook her head.
"You'll need to decided before we leave tonight." Makrov replied, but continued. "I understand you all have one more year until you leave Fairy Tail Academy, so it's not crucial to win this year. But isn't it better to be 2x champions when you end high school?" Everyone cheered at his suggestion.
Lucy thought about winning, knocking them right off there feet- fair and square. Letting everyone know who had earned it.
"Guys I think I know what category I'm going to choose." Lucy said loudly, silencing the cheering. Everyone piped down and stared at her.
"They gave me a list of suggestions and I think I'm going to do this one- it's called Radio Challenge. A random generator selects a song for each band. The bands are given an hour to prepare for the song then has to perform on stage." She said confidentially.
"Bunny girl. Don't we wanna give ourselves the advantage? Isn't that the reason you won in the first place?" Gajeel snarled.
"That's what I thought too-" Lucy started "- but then someone said to me 'The victory will be even more satisfying if we had more obstacles and disadvantages to overcome then everyone else. It also means that nobody can say 'they got lucky' or 'it was a fluke' because there would be no way they'd do it to themselves' So we even the playing field for both teams. Nobody gets an advantage. It'll make the victory even sweeter!" She smiled, her eyes connected with Natsu's, he was smiling. She smiled his way happily.
"I'll go tell the committee then we should all get home and to bed, it'll be a long day tomorrow." Makarov said, everyone started shuffling and drowning themselves in their own conversations.
"Nice speech." Natsu smirked walking over to her, "wonder where I heard that before?" He said playfully.
Lucy giggled and punched him weakly in the chest "shut up."
"We'd better go study the, at least, top 100 songs before tomorrow." Natsu sighed lazily.
"Come on. I'll race you to the van." Lucy said, with a glint of mischievousness in her eyes as she booked it out the door before Natsu even had a chance to respond.
"I'll give you a head start since I'm such a gentleman." Natsu whined sarcastically, before sprinting after her.
It was the day. The final day in the Grand Musical Games, two teams left. Two songs left and then the winner would be crowned. Every team in this competition had worked blood, sweat and tears to get to this point. Only to be slowly knocked out one by one.
The judges and administrative board and made sure the generator for the songs was secured overnight, their work was flawless. Perfectly random- there was no humanly way to obscure the results. Both song names were put into envelopes, sealed shut so any and all evidence of tampering could be easily seen. The envelopes were escorted to each dressing room where both teams were eagerly awaiting.
In the Sabertooth dressing room. Everyone sat ready with hair and makeup, they guessed they would need all the time they could get to prepare for the upcoming performance.
Three hallow knocks echoed through the shallow door. Minerva sprung up and ran to the door, paused behind it, brushed off the dust from her skirt as if they were her uneasy nerves, and opened the door.
She reached for the envelope and pulled it into her clutched, ripping off the seal. Her eyes scanned the page for only moments then smirked.
She turned back to her awaiting team, kicking the door shut behind her with a flick of her ankle.
"Yeah, we can work with this."
Fairy Tails dressing room was completely different. Everyone was calm or rather distracting themselves. If a outside who didn't know of the GMG's came in, they'd never know they had the biggest competition of the year in an hour.
Everyone was distracted except for Natsu. For once he was actually attempting maturity. He was planning, millions of different scenarios or choreography for the possible songs they'd have to perform. He wanted to run them over with Lucy, but watching her chat with Wendy calmed him and he wanted it to stay that way.
Breaking the chatter came three hallow knocks on the shallow door. Everyone's breath hitched in their throats.
"I'll get it." Lucy joked dryly, twisting the door knob and taking the envelop while muttering thanks to carrier.
She entered the middle of the room without even making a crease in the paper. Suddenly she threw it and it landed in Gajeel's hand. "Never mind I don't wanna open it"
"Me either!" He yelled, flinging it Wendy's way. She practically swatted it over to Jellal while yelling "NO!" Jellal then flung it Erzas way who treated it like a baseball and batted it to Natsu who caught it.
"Seriously guys when did this turn into a game of Hot Potato? I'll open it." He said, sliding his finger under the flap and pulling out the card. He smirked and flipped it for everyone else to read. They all smiled triumphantly.
"I'll call the people and tell them we are ready right away."
"Hold up. I know you and Lu are ready but I think the rest of us may want to go over the chords." Jellal chuckled, everyone joined him.
"Thank you audience for sitting paitently 8 days for the main event. This- ladies and gentlemen- is the final round of the Grand Musical Games!" The MC cheered loudly, causing the crowd to erupt in cheers. "Since Fairy Tails Passion won the crossover match, Sabertooth's Light and Dark will be performing first. The name of the final match is Radio Challenge. Each team was given a song that was randomly selected by a computer generator. They are each given an hour and allowed to perform the song to the best of their ability. Without further adue, In stage now is the one, the only, LIGHT AND DARK perfoming 'Bad Girls' by MKTO!"
Sabertooths team looked slick, all wearing some leather, red or studs. Following the theme of the song. Sting however looked... Dashing. He had on a black leather jacket, a long white T and red jeans. Hot enough to make the girls in the from row swoon over him. Lisanna has on a tight red cocktail dress and a black leather jacket.

(He came to the bottom stair and span in a circle)

(He half span, pointing to Lisanna who was walking down the stairs)
Shows up, to fill her cup
(She walked down a step with every syllable)
I know all she wants is just to get my love
(She walked to the last step and made a big heart with her fingers)
I wish we could be just like Johnny and June
(She walked to Sting and and leaned on him)
She cut out my heart and left me in the room
(She pan around his back and resurfaced on the other side of him.)

(He walked to one half of the runway)

(She walked to the other half)

(They both crouched on good)

(Lisanna ran back and Sting mad a box with his fingers)
= I'd do anything to be her bodyguard
(He made muscles and started walking back)

= She make it look sexy to break all the rules
(She sprint back and passed Lisanna)
Fallin' too fast and I might crash
(Lisanna fell back into Sting)

(She ran a finger across his collarbones and made a fist)

Cause she out on the edge like there's nothing to lose
(She walked away to the side of the stage that Sting used to be on)

(He grabbed an imaginary bar infront of him and slid under, ruffling his hair)

(He moved his hands pointing)

(He beat himself in the chest)
= A little bit of hell, but she got me in heaven

(He saluted on one foot falling out of the way and Lisanna walked from behind)

(He let her up and they ran down the runway)

(Sparks flew from the sides of the stage they stopped back to back)

Sabertooth panted heavily, they all gave it everything they could, everything. Exhausted every asset they had till the breaking point. Though, it left Sting wondering, would it be enough?
"Thank you Sabertooth!" The MC yelled over enthusiastically. "That was a truly entertaining performance. Next up, the final performance for the Grand Musical Games this year. Give it up for Fairy Tails Passion singing Armour by Landon Austin!"
Fairy Tail was ready, or at least they felt ready. Lucy felt especially ready, and strangely confident. Nobody knew Lucy to be a confident person, except maybe Natsu when they first met, but today she had no reason not to be confident. Everyone was ready, and looked it too.
Lucy had on black ripped short shorts and a flowing dark blue and black galaxy tank top. Her hair was loosely curled and pinned back elegantly. Natsu wasn't doing bad himself either. He had on black skinny jeans, and a black and blue raglan shirt.
The stage started pitch black, no member of the audience could see a thing. But, like magic the tops of the seats in the audience light small lights. Making the audience look like a sea of stars.

(A single spotlight lit on Lucy. She was standing alone in the middle of the stairs)

(She put a hand on her chest and pointed out, putting her hand down slowly as the spotlight faded)

(Spotlights flew randomly all over the stage but never showed anyone)
+There's always the next one
(It stopped on Natsu standing on the top of the stairs)

(He made a wall with his arms and broke it pointing out at the crowd)

(the bottom part of the stage lit at the edges)
* Maybe I'll crash into you
(Lucy strutted down the stairs and swiped her hand to the side)
+ Maybe we would open up these wounds
(Natsu ran down two steps and jumped, crouching beside Lucy)
We're only alive if we bruise
(They harmonized and she put her hand on his chin, pulling him up gently.)
So I lay down this armor
(They slid their hands across their arms and put them out as if holding a platter)
+ I will surrender tonight
(He ran and slid on his knees down the runway)
* Before we both lose this fight
(Lucy walked past him and turned to face him)
* Take my defenses
(She offered a hand to him)
+ All my defenses
(He grabbed her hand)
I lay down this armor
(He pulled himself up and past her, whipping her back around to face him.)
I lay down this armor
(They skipped back to the stage, clapping hands above their head)
I lay down this armor
(They ran up the steps as the lower lights faded off and small twinkles fell from the roof)

(They had separated during the dark and now were on either side of the stairs)
(The lights on the crowds chairs started to flicker and looked like they were moving)
+ I do what it takes to make this right
(Spotlight went on Natsu and he looks over the crowd)
* But we got to stop before the regret
(It went to Lucy and she did the same)
After the war is won
(All the lights flashed on as they looked at eachother, most dimmed afterward)
There's always the next one
(The walk back to centre stage facing eachother)
+ I'll do what it takes to make this right
(Natsu pounded his chest)

* Maybe I'll crash into you
(She puts her and on his cheek)
+ Maybe we would open up these wounds
(He puts his hand overtop)
We're only alive if we bruise
(They dropped hands and spun so they weren't facing eachother)
So I lay down this armor
* I will surrender tonight
(She stepped down a few stairs looking at the audience)
+ Before we both lose this fight
(Natsu stepped to the same one as her)
+ Take my defenses
(He grabs her hand and walks to the edge of the stage)
* All my defenses
I lay down this armor
(Erza, Wendy and Jellal walked foreword and the light shone on them at the top)
I lay down this armor
(They faded)
I lay down this armor for you
(Lucy had walked all the way down the runway, Natsu was following her)

(The stage had darkened, the runway was lit with small lights on the edges racing)
+ I'll be you escape
(He walks over)
+ I'll be your safe place
(He hugged her from behind)
+ I'll be your shelter
Your shelter yeah
(She turns around, holding him back by a hand on his chest)
* I'll be you escape
(She starts walking foreword as he walks back)
* I'll be your safe place
(They made it back)
* I'll be your shelter
(The placed her back against his chest and put his arms around her)

(They let go, lucy holds the note)

+ Maybe I'll crash into you
(They separate, Lucy continues to hold the note. The lights flash)
Maybe we would open up these wounds
(They walk to opposite sides of the stage. The chair lights flash with the drum beat)

(They crouch simultaneously)
So I lay down this armor
(They grab their fans hands)
I will surrender tonight
(The fall back onto there knees and beg in a sway)
Before we both lose this fight
(The outstretch and arm and reach for eachother
+ Take my defenses
(Natsu gets up and starts to walk to her)
* All my defenses
(Lucy does the same)
I lay down this armor
(The jump around the bottom stage, the band members join them at the top)
I lay down this armor
(The music fades, the spotlights go around the audience then focuses on Natsu and Lucy)
+ I lay down this armor for you
(They walk to eachother, Natsu puts his hand on Lucys cheek)
I lay down this armor for you
(They harmonize beautifully, Lucy puts her hand on Natsu's)

"Wow that was amazing Passion, brilliant performance." The MC announced. Natsu and Lucy were too busy staring at eachother to hear. They smiled brightly at eachother, that was the song, the song that brought them together in the first place. (A/N if you don't know what I mean by saying 'the song that brought hem together in the first place'. A) you need to pay better attention and B) go back to Chapter 3) "wow" Natsu muttered, "that was.."
"Great" Lucy cut him off, but Natsu shook his head causing Lucy to tilt hers. "No that was a song from my heart" he flushed slightly.
The rest of Passion had joined them downstage by now, gathering infront of the crowd.
"Now the moment everyone's been waiting for... Light and Dark, could you please join Passion downstage for the results?" In merely moments Sabertooth was downstage beside their rivals.
"The winner of the 7th annual Grand Musical Games... Is... Well I can say this time it for sure isn't a tie. And the winner is..."

and like said in the A/N, the song that Passion sung was in fact the first song Lucy and Natsu sang together as karaoke at Gildarts in Chapter 3. Their first duet together awehhhdhhhhhhhhegdhdizkwnjd
