Hello again! Sorry it has been awhile. Work is very busy busy! I had some time while working overtime to push out a chapter! Please enjoy!
Chapter 10-Amnesia
Hiroki had gotten his fill of food. He slouched back into the kitchen chair with a hiccup and a sigh. "Thanks again, the food was great."he said, his words a little slurred. He swished the remainded of his wine in his glass around in circles. "You must have learned to cook from your mother."he mumbled, recalling eating over at Tatsuya's parent's house.
Tatsuya stood, taking their dishes to the sink. "Of course, only from the best."he said. "Your mother didn't teach you to cook?"he asked as he began washing them up. He glanced over his shoulder at Hiroki.
Hiroki sipped the wine. "Nah...I was always to busy in my studies. I learned later after I moved out on my own."he said. "After many upset stomachs from storebought food, it was time to learn."he said.
Tatsuya chuckled. "Well that is one way to learn."he said. He dried his hands on a towel. He picked up the bottle of wine, now empty. "That was well worth opening."he said with a big smile. He took it to his recyling bin by the refridgerator.
Hiroki nodded sluggishly in aggreement. "Mhm...still shouldn't have wasted it on me though."he said. He stood and then walked forward. "I need to use the toilet."he said, another hiccup relasing from his lips, stained by the red wine. He took a step forward and stumbled.
Tatsuya, who was not as drunk as Hiroki, caught him. "Whoa. Are you alright?"he asked, stablizing Hiroki. He placed his hand on the small of Hiroki's back and then looked down at the brunette.
Hiroki mumbled and then looked up at Tatsuya, eyes glazed and red wine lips. He then nodded. "Yeah...Sorry. I must have had a little to much to drink."he said, finishing it off with another hiccup.
Tatsuya chuckled. "I belive that is an understatement. Come on, let's go find you something more comfortable to wear."he said, wrapping an arm around Hiroki's shoulders. He then led Hiroki towards his bedroom.
Hiroki mumbled to himself as he walked with Tatsuya down the wide, white hallways. "You know...you have a pretty expensive place here."he mumbled, touching at the brown bookshelves as they passed them.
Tatsuya smiled. "Eh, it's alright. Fairly reasonable. It's a lot of space though for one person."he said. "I rarely come here, since I spend most of my time in buisness across seas."he said. "It's actually the longest time I have stayed here."he said.
Hiroki yawned. "Yeah..it looks perfect for a family just starting out."he mumbled. "I'm guessing it's for when you get married."he mumbled. He then looked around the bedroom as the entered it, "Nice."he said, admiring the large room decorated in deep shades of blue.
Tatsuya smiled. "It's alright."he said. He helped Hiroki to the bed and then went over to his closet. "It may be a little big, but it should work."he said. He rummaged in the drawers until he found a pair of grey pajamas. "These have adjustable strings, so please make yourself comfortable."
Hiroki took the clothes from Tatsuya, once again his eyes followed the large hands. When he touched them, it felt really warm. His mind went back to Nowaki. By the time he realized, it was to late. The hot tears were already running down his cheeks, taking Tatsuya by suprise.
Tatsuya looked at Hiroki, his fist clenching. He then took Hiroki's chin into his hands and lifted his face up. He leaned down and kissed him softly. He cupped Hiroki's cheek and deepened the kiss.
Hiroki was suprised, but for some reason he couldn't push him away. His eyes slipped closed and all he could see was Nowaki. When Tatsuya started unbuttoning Hiroki's shirt, he withdrew back. His eyes looked into Tatsuya's still crying. He wanted so much for this to be Nowaki.
Tatsuya looked into Hiroki's eyes. "It's alright...I won't do anything unpleasant."he said. He leaned down again and kissed his forehead. He smiled when he felt Hiroki relax into the bed a little. He slid his hand down the front of Hiroki's shirt and began unbuttoning the buttons again.
Hiroki felt the tears falling faster, his heart aching. Each touch from Tatsuya was like Nowaki's. He closed his eyes again, imagining that it was Nowaki. Usually he is able to think reasonably, but not this time. The wine had him really fuzzy. He knew it was wrong, but he couldn't pull himself away. It felt like it had been forever since someone held him this way.
Tatsuya laid Hiroki on his back and climbed over him. He kissed down Hiroki's neck and to his now exposed chest. He savoured the sight of him as he pulled him closer to him, pressing himself against Hiroki's pelvis. He bit his lip and continued to place kisses along the man's chest.
Hiroki closed his eyes as he turned his thoughts off, focusing only on the sensations he was feeling. He didn't want to open his eyes, he wanted to continue to see Nowaki. He gave a small laugh inwardly. This reminded him of the time he slept with Akihhiko...how he blindfolded him and told the man to imagine it was his true love, Takahiro. He now knew why Akihiko was in so much pain. He got to feel the regret that Ahikiho must have felt when he thought he was betraying Takahiro...he felt like he was betraying Nowaki and it killed him inside.
Nowaki looked at his watch and sighed. He then looked around the trainstatioin. It was almsot empty now. Just a few people left. It was getting late and he had to work in the morning. He had hoped that Hiroki would have came through already. He lowered his head as he looked at his phone. He had tried calling the university. They said he had left hours ago. He thought about trying again, but he knew that he would get the same answer that they gave him earlier.
He stood when he heard the security guards announcing that the subway would be closing soon. The last trains had came through. There was no use in staying now, Hiroki wasn't coming. If that is so, then where did he go? Did he go home with one of his colleagues...no Hiroki was the social type.
He rubbed his temples as he exited the trainstation. He sighed and began walking home. At this point, he was desperate. If he didn't have to work in the morning, he would stake out the university...he was sure he would see him then. Hiroki never skipped a day. Being that it was right after exams, he was sure that Hiroki would go there tomorrow. He had papers to grade. He didn't like doing them at home because it took away from their time.
Nowaki stopped walking. This is what Hiroki was talking about...Hiroki never brought his work home so that it wouldn't interfere with their time together...but himself on the other hand, always had to cancel due to work. Hiroki was right...he didn't sacrifice his work for Hiroki, the most important person to him. He wasn't being fair to Hiroki. This was all his fault. He knew that now..but he still had to fix it. He couldn't lose Hiroki.
Nowaki walked down the stairs and into the busy street. He stopped by a convinence store on his way home, grabbing a meal for himself. He then walked home. He ran over ways in his head that he could possibly meet with Hiroki. How could he get him to at least sit and talk about it? They have never been seperated this long. He feared the longer it went on like this, the possiblity of them never speaking again grew stronger.
He put his key in the door and unlocked it, walking inside to the warm air. He looked around the empty livingroom from the kitchen. He looked at the couch, Hiroki being generous left it. He looked at the coffee cup that was still sitting on the edge of the counter. It was clean, but it was Hiroki's. He stroked the rim of it with his fingers and sighed, turning away. He put his meal in the microwave and leaned on the counter as it cooked.
Hiroki never too the train home, and he was worried that something had happened. He rubbed his eyes impatiently. It was maddening, the silence and emptiness of this place. He couldn't understand how Hiroki managed to stay here during the day. Was this why he went to the library a lot? Or to a book comference?
He hit the counter with his fist and clenched his teeth, trying to hold back the tears that were stinging his eyes. "I'm so sorry, Hiro-san….please Hiro-san.."he whispered as the wet drops landed on the counter below.
Well I'm not to proud of this chapter seeing is that it is too short. It's also not very well thought out seeing as I was partially diestracted by being at work. Sorry guys!
