The more intimate Bonnie became with Damon the more her love for him deepened. It was like her love established roots and spread to every little corner of her heart, firmly taking hold and locking Damon into place.

She was so in love with this man.

Everything that she had to give was his. Damon didn't even have to ask.

When they made love, her heart showed in her eyes. She melted into his every kiss and her body trembled by the slightest touch of his hands.

She felt so connected to him.

Being with Damon was like nothing Bonnie had ever known and at night when it was just the two of them, it was like they were in their own little world. Talking, laughing and smiling at each other like a couple of idiots.

They hadn't had a single fight since their honeymoon, the night Damon totally spazzed-out on that guy who tried to dance with her and wouldn't take no for an answer.

It was only two weeks ago that little incident occurred and it just so happened that Bonnie was right in the middle of telling Lacey the story. The model was on the living room floor dying laughing because Bonnie was reenacting everything that happened.

It was so fucking funny, especially when Bonnie got to the part where Damon got all thug-like. Lacey cracked up when Bonnie said Damon was acting like he was Suge Knight.

Lacey wiped a tear from her eye as she turned to look at the man in question who was sitting a few feet away at the table doing some work on his laptop.

"I don't believe it. Damon, you actually choked the guy out?" She asked because she never knew Damon to pop off like that.

Lacey thought Damon was too much of a New York yuppie to ever get, dare she say...hood.

Looking decidedly embarrassed with his cheeks slightly turning pink, Damon tried to play it off shaking his head with a light shrug of the shoulders.

"I didn't exactly choke him out...I may have grabbed his neck just a little...you know to get his attention."

Watching Bonnie tell Lacey what happened that night made Damon realize he may have overreacted.

He definitely could have handled the situation differently and he couldn't even blame his behavior on the alcohol either because he really hadn't had that much to drink. Damon honestly didn't know what made him snap that way. But seeing that guy's hands on Bonnie just set him off. He just saw fucking red when that guy touched her.

Bonnie cocked an arched brow at her husband, placing her hands on her hips.

"Really Salvatore?" She asked, because Damon knew damn well he went for that guy's throat wanting to choke the shit out of him.

Damon's blue eyes cut to Bonnie. It was after ten and she was getting ready to go to bed when Lacey decided to stop by the apartment. She was dressed in a pair of little boy shorts and a matching tank top.

He slowly dragged his eyes down the length of her body, the body that he'd come to know so well, before returning to meet her eyes.

Bonnie couldn't help it and blushed at the way he was looking at her.

Damon cock a brow, mimicking her facial expression. "Yeah Salvatore, really."

Bonnie blushed again for some reason, biting her bottom lip. She looked down at her feet before making eye contact with him once again.

Things lapsed into silence as the two of them just stared at each other.

Clearing her throat, Lacey got up from the floor. It was clear her presence in the room had been forgotten. The sexual tension between Damon and Bonnie was bouncing off walls.

"I think it's time I get going." She said, interrupting the eye fucking that was going on between her best friend and her brand new husband.

That got Bonnie's attention and her green eyes quickly snapped to the gorgeous model.

"Wait, what? No Lace, we haven't really caught up...I've been doing most of the talking. You haven't said one word about what's been going on with you."

Lacey smiled softly at Bonnie, rubbing her arm affectionately. "We'll talk about me some other time. I'm just glad you're back. I missed you, chica."

Still a little disappointed that she was leaving so soon, Bonnie hugged her friend. "I missed you too."

Lacey had been away when they returned from Hawaii. She was in Atlanta filming a guest starring role on Teen Wolf, so this was the first time the friends were seeing each other since Bonnie's wedding.

When Lacey pulled away, she thought of something. "Hey, since you're off tomorrow why don't you stop by my photo-shoot and then we can go to lunch and maybe do some shopping afterward?" She said suddenly excitedly.

That sounded great to Bonnie because she really did want to catch up properly. "Okay."

Lacey gave her another quick hug before reaching down to grab her purse off the sofa before heading towards the door. "I'll text you the address in the morning."

"Alright then, see you tomorrow." Bonnie said as goodbye.

When Lacey was gone, Bonnie locked the door after her.

"She looks good." Damon said from the table closing his laptop. "She's gained a little weight."

"I know right...I didn't want to say anything just in case she wasn't happy about it." Bonnie said biting her lip, looking uncertain.

Not wanting to bring the mood down, Damon changed the subject.

"By the way, your little reenactment was pretty damn funny." He said, getting to his feet and walking over to her.

"I'm glad you found it amusing."

Damon touched her face and Bonnie wrapped her arms around his waist, leaning into his hand. She sighed contently, closing her eyes.

"Yeah now we can both laugh about what happened, but that night you were so pissed off at me." He said caressing her cheek.

Bonnie opened her eyes. "That's because you totally flipped out Damon...I was shocked. Seeing you act like that was..." She shook her head not being able to find the right words.

"Alarming, upsetting...scary." He supplied for her, his voice soft.

"All of the above." She answered. "And I got mad because your reaction was so extreme and I didn't understand why because I know you're not that person."

"You're right, I'm not...but seeing that guy put his hands on you did something to me...I didn't like it...and I reacted."

The pit of Bonnie's stomach fluttered with butterflies when she saw the look in his eyes before he blinked it away.

It was a quick flash, but Bonnie saw it. She fucking saw it! And what she saw spoke to the women inside her. The woman that loved him and prayed every single day that he would return her feelings.

Because that look spoke volumes.

It was a look of pure possessiveness. Of a man not liking another man touching what was his. And to Bonnie it was a start.

Standing up on her tip-toes, Bonnie grabbed the back of Damon's neck forcing his head down as her lips reached up to meet his.

Having learned a thing or two after many weeks of being kissed by him, she worked her mouth over his putting her newly acquired skills into action, kissing him deeply. Passionately. So much so that her head moved with every warm wet thrust of her tongue.

When it became essential for both of them to breathe, she broke the kiss, leaning her head against his.

Breathing hard, Damon licked his lips. Wow. That was unexpected. After a moment, he spoke, his voice thick with desire.

"What did I do to deserve that?" He asked, raising his head to look into her eyes.

"I just wanted a kiss that's all."

"Well, that was one hell of a kiss, Salvatore."

Bonnie smiled.

As the weeks went by, Bonnie began to get run down. The pregnancy was taking a lot out of her. And it didn't help that she was working ten hour days, five days a week. She was exhausted and she looked it. Bonnie now had dark circles underneath her eyes that she tried to cover up with makeup because she wasn't getting enough rest.

Damon was worried because she wasn't taking care of herself. Bonnie was spreading herself thin. She was working long hours and then coming home and trying to be a good wife to him.

Every night Bonnie made dinner for the both of them and the apartment was always spotless. Damon never ran out of clean shirts or underwear. And Bonnie always gave up the kitty never once complaining of tiredness and was always eager for his touch. Sometimes even initiating their love making.

Like tonight.

It started out innocently enough. Just a few feather light kisses while they snuggled on the sofa watching a movie, but that was until Bonnie leaned into Damon, pressing her body against his. She cupped the back of his head with her hand and deepened the kiss, wanting more. Needing more. She was ravenous for him. For his touch. Bonnie couldn't help it. Her body yearned for his.

Pulling away before things got to heated, Damon ignored his dick twitching inside his pants because tonight the only thing they were going to do in their bed was sleep.

Damon knew Bonnie was tired. Exhausted really, even though she didn't say so.

Bonnie had worked a twelve hour day.

"You need to rest." He said, caressing her cheek.

Bonnie frowned a little, confused as to why he was putting a sudden halt to things. "What? Damon, I'm fine."

"You're exhausted."He said looking at her pointedly, so she'd know she wasn't fooling him.

"No I'm not...I'm wide awake."

Placing her arms around his neck, she rubbed herself against him suggestively. "I need you to put me to sleep in that special way only you know how to do."

Damon's dick got hard.

Seeing him slowly begin to cave, Bonnie covered his mouth with hers once again, slipping her tongue inside and massaging it with his.

Damon's resolve melted away like room temperature butter in a smoking hot iron skillet.

He stood up with her lips still attached to his and Bonnie wrapped her legs around Damon's waist as he carried her to the bedroom.

"I think you should quit your job."

So much for post-coital bliss.

"What?" Bonnie asked not sure she heard him right. Turning her head, she looked at him.

Damon turned onto his side to face her, his hand supporting his head as the other came to rest on top of her stomach.

"I think you should stop working."

Not needing the distraction of him touching her, Bonnie moved his hand away, so she could think.

She sat up in bed, drawing her knees to her chest and hugging her legs.

Damon sat up too, rushing to explain himself before she could speak.

"Look Bonnie, you're wearing yourself out. I know you keep saying that you're fine, but you're not. You're tired all the time... most days you have zero energy..."

She quickly cut him off before he could continue. "...I know that, but my doctor says this is normal for a first time pregnancy. My body just needs time to adjust."

He gently touched the side of her face. "But Baby, how do you expect your body to do that if you're not taking care of yourself?" He asked softly.

Bonnie ran a hand through her hair. Ever since going back to work, yes, she's had a lot on her plate, but she was making things work. Nothing was being neglected, especially not him. So why couldn't Damon see that? She didn't need to quit her job. Bonnie loved her job. She was good at it. Damn good. So much so that her boss was willing to pay for her to go to school to become a paralegal.

This just felt so unfair in Bonnie's mind. Him asking this of her. She was already giving up so much for this pregnancy. But to say all this to him made Bonnie feel like a selfish person and when you loved someone you couldn't be selfish.

"Hey look at me." He said softly to Bonnie who'd been facing forward the whole time.

She turned her face to him and Damon saw the tears in her eyes.

He kissed her cheek. "It's just until the baby comes, alright?"

Bonnie didn't respond.

Damon's lips moved over her mouth, kissing her softly. "Alright Baby?" He repeated against her lips.

When she still didn't answer, Damon pulled back to look in her eyes.

She looked away from him. "Fine, I'll do it...I'll quit my job."

Damon grasp her chin, bringing Bonnie's face back to meet his. She looked so sad. He leaned in to kiss her, his eyes open. It took a long moment before she was kissing him back and it was only then that Damon pressed her down onto the bed and covered her with his body.

AN: So I kinda know where I want to go with this story, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull it off. I think I've lost my mojo, guys:(
