A/N: Written for the Digimon Flash Bingo at the DFC (link's in profile), prompt 670 – "One of the verses of the song has somehow slipped from his mind./He quickly goes back, tries to get it right this time./Again he forgets, it is lost, he shakes his head at the shame;/He starts the song at the beginning - again he has to stop." Rabindranath Tagore
Those Happy Times
He wants to find those happy times
in his life, but they seem
to be gone, like the voice on the wind
singing lullabies
to a cradle past,
those happy times where he'd smiled
and laughed, and been happy
for the snow, where they could lie
warm together
But was he ever warm, now, he wondered?
Or was he always that walking corpse
wandering, frozen white even on those
sweltering days, with an equally frozen heart
desiring only one thing: that dream of the past
to renew itself,
Even those words from the song,
he'd forgotten.
