It took a good while for Rosita to fill in all of the missing blanks for Tara. With the mention of certain events such as Maggie's sister dying and finding out that Maggie was pregnant, little flashes flew throughout Tara's mind. She remembered things such as the aching feeling that had coursed throughout her body as she watched Maggie run out in front of the car; getting knocked unconscious as she was thrown to the ground. Tara could vaguely hear the echoing gunshot that tragically ended poor Beth's life, along with the loud and devastated sobs from her girlfriend following the catastrophic event. Little pleasant flashes came of Maggie nervously giggling as Tara kissed her neck, the two of them lying in bed together, cuddling in the back seat of the church bus; all of these random bits and pieces that were still missing something.

"Is it coming back to you at all? Anything?" Rosita questioned with a hopeful tone after she had given as many details to Tara that she could remember, a single eyebrow quirking at the confused tomboy.

"Some of it is…" Tara replied in a shameful whisper, running her fingertips through the back of Maggie's hair. She had heard the story of their arrival in Alexandria, but that was one of the few things that Tara couldn't recall no matter how hard she tried to. She remembered the feeling of warm running water cascading down her body and freeing it from the caked on dirt and blood as she took the first shower she had in months. She remembered the first night that she and Maggie had shared so intimately in their new bed, but there were far too many missing pieces: entire days that she couldn't recall. "I think it's enough, though. Enough to pretend that I remember…"

"Maggie's gonna be hurt if she finds out you're lyin' to her about this," Rosita warned the tomboy as she pushed her body up off of the mattress, causing it to creak softly, "Just… keep that in mind."

"Deanna promised me that we're gonna get new gigs," Maggie informed Tara from the foot of their mattress with a tone that vaguely sounded cheerful; a single hand quickly swiping a loose piece of hair behind her ear. "Either that er she's gonna keep us off duty till the baby comes… which might be the better option."

"The baby…" Tara repeated in a soft tone, having almost forgotten that Maggie was pregnant; and for the life of her, she could not put a face to Deanna's name. Everything was so damn fuzzy…

"I figure we'll probably get bored doin' nothin'... but pretty soon m'gonna be too uncomfortable t'move much. An' then m'gonna need you t'take care of me all the time," Maggie added on, a playful grin spreading across her lips as she lightly poked the end of Tara's nose with the tip of her index finger.

"I would take care of you for the rest of my life if you needed it, baby," Tara assured Maggie with a firm nod of her head, feeling incredibly lucky as she leaned forward to press her moistened lips against her girlfriend's; savoring the short moment. What she and Maggie had together was amazing, there was no denying that.

"We haven't really talked about names yet," Maggie reminded Tara as she folded her legs underneath herself, pulling aside the flaps of her borrowed, oversized flannel to expose her growing baby bump. "I know there's not really any way t'find out what the gender is, but I figure we can pick out one boy name and one girl name… er jus' one name that could be fer either. I dunno."

"I've always kinda liked the name Daniel…" Tara blurted out immediately, but then shook her head slightly in disapproval of her own idea. She felt incredibly selfish for not even waiting to hear Maggie's favorite names first. "But then there's also 'Glenn', 'Hershel'..." she added on in a whisper, hoping to make up for her eager outburst.

"I really like Daniel," Maggie whispered honestly, gently lacing her fingers through Tara's as she brought both of their hands to rest against her growing stomach. "Maybe Glenn could be his middle name… Daniel Glenn."

"I like that," Tara confirmed with a small grin of satisfaction spreading across her features before she softly pressed her lips against Maggie's forehead. "Maybe Lilly for a girl's name… or Meghan," she added on as she swallowed nervously, her voice growing quieter with each word she spoke. Tara hated to think about her deceased family, but there were only so many ways to honor dead loved ones. Maybe this was one of them.

"Those're both beautiful names," Maggie commented with a soft tone, using her free hand to gently caress the side of Tara's cheek; her smooth, pale skin blushing a light shade of pink at the intimate contact. Maggie had figured it was only fair to allow their potential baby names to include someone each of them had lost.

"Almost as beautiful as you," Tara remarked before she flashed her girlfriend a cheesy grin, feeling overwhelmingly happy as her comment had caused a genuine smile to curve the edges of Maggie's lips.

"M'so in love with you, Tara Chambler…" Maggie whispered as her hand slowly slid from Tara's cheek, down to the woman's chest; fingers lightly gripping the warm and fuzzy fabric of her sweatshirt. With a fistful of fabric, Maggie gently pulled her girlfriend closer until their lips collided, soft giggles escaping her throat as Tara sloppily slipped her tongue past her parted lips; tangling it with Maggie's.

"I'm so in love with you, too, Maggie Greene…" Tara panted breathlessly in return as she broke away from the passionate kiss.

|| A/N: I really am sorry for such a long wait for the update. I needed motivation to continue on, and the interaction between Maggie and Tara in the season 6 premiere was the perfect push for me. :)
