Thank you for all the favorites, follows, and comments! This chapter is a bite shorter than what I usually write but I felt where I ended was a good place to stop for a chapter. I've been extremely busy because of college so sorry for the wait! Enjoy!

Fifteen: The Black Liquid's True Agenda

Tim swore loudly as he attempted to move yet the black liquid held him tight in his grasp. He gagged for breath yet the black liquid continued to flow into his mouth, nose, and ears. His eyes struggled to look at anything and he nearly gagged from the liquid invading his body. He was going to lose himself to the black liquid and he wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

"You know, Timothy, everything you remember will be lost to us. You will know what it is like to lost in the flow of time." The black liquid whispered out and he growled at this, wanting to get away but couldn't. The black liquid giggled and Tim's eyes opened to see nothingness around him.

"Get lost. You are to no use of anyone. You are just a replacement. Just be nothing." The black liquid hissed and he growled at this, knowing he was being played.

"Tim?"

He blinked at the sudden voice and looked to see someone far off in the distance, a small crying noise coming from the person. He reached towards the voice and called out, "Who…?"

Then the person turned to face him and his eyes grew wide at a much younger version of himself, staring right back at him. The younger version's eyes held no emotion in them yet sorrow, a frown on his face.

"Who are you?" He asked him and Tim blinked at this, unsure to what he asked him.

"What?" he asked and the boy narrowed his eyes at him.

"Who are you? You don't remind me of myself anymore." The child version of him stated and Tim growled at this.

"I'm you. You can't follow me into thinking this way, black liquid! Your mind games are nothing!" Tim shouted at the top of his lungs and the child version of him smiled sickly before that version of him appeared right in front of him. Its eyes completely black and dribbling down the black liquid from his mouth, eyes, ears, and nose.

"Ya know, you are to smart for your own good. You aren't like anyone else, Tim. You've been like that since you were born. You don't have any idea on how to get a clue, do ya?" It snickered and he grind his teeth together at the black liquid's taunts. He wanted to show that they had no affect on him yet on some level it did.

Especially with using his own face to say those words.

"You have anything to say back to me, Timothy? Or are you silent to your own thoughts?" The black liquid said and he with all his might reached to grab the younger version of him, wrapping his single hand around its throat. The black liquid's grin grew even larger and he tightened his grip on it, his eyes full of anger.

"I know! I know exactly how I am! People think of me as emotionless! Cold and detached from the world because I dislike to show my emotions. Guess what? It's my freakin' choice to do this! So don't come to me and try to play that card, bastard! I've started showing my emotions more than ever because of everything that has happened!" Tim shouted back at the black liquid before his grip went slack as the black liquid slipped into a liquid around him. He scowled and observed around himself until he franticly pulled below the surface of the black liquid.

He couldn't help but gasp at the sudden pull and the black liquid infested into Tim's mouth. His eyes grew wide at this and felt the black liquid slithering though his body.

"You know exactly what am I, right Timothy?" It whispered around him and in his head and he attempted to answer the question but it was choking him from saying what he thought.

It laughed and everything disappeared in front of his eyes.

"Another time to answer then?" It said and Tim couldn't handle it any longer as the black liquid took complete control over all his functions.

Jason swore and coughed again, trying not to be bothered with the fact that Tim's body was becoming so accustomed to his spirit that it was going to give it lung cancer.

He wanted to admittedly leave and never step foot in the kid's body ever again.

"Are you alright, Jay?" Freddy asked him and he blinked before sighing.

"I'm alright… it's just the fact that I'm hurting the kid's body is beyond angering and pissing me off." He stated and Freddy sighed before cracking his knuckles.

"Give me a second, okay?" He said and Jason blinked at this before Freddy muttered the famous lines the Marvel family speaks to awaken their powers.

"SHAZAM."

In a flash of lighting, the sixteen year old Freddy was replaced with one more in his mid twenties from the look of it. His black hair now reaching past his shoulders and pulled back away from his sharp face. His outfit changed to a blue suit with a brilliant and bold yellow lighting bolt in the center of his chest. A small white cape flapped over his left shoulder and his skinner build was replaced with a more muscular version with muscles nearly bulging out of his uniform. The wheelchair that he was once at in was pushed back and away from him.

He grinned down at Jason who blinked at the sudden change and then sighed as he stood up.

"Ok, where are we going?" He asked and Freddy smirked at this.

"Don't worry about it. You just hold on." Freddy said and Jason scowled at this, knowing it wouldn't be good.

"You better not drop me, Freeman." Jason said and Freddy's grin grew larger at this.

"What? Me drop you? I would never do that, Jay." Freddy said with sarcasm that Jason hadn't heard in over two years. Freddy preceded to grab the teen by the waist and hosted him over his shoulder as they left the warehouse to go outside. Jason growled at this but let it happen since he knew he was no match to Freddy in his Shazam form.

"Just promise me, you won't do anything stupid once we get to our destination." Freddy muttered and Jason frowned at this while also narrowing his eyebrows.

"Fine. Whatever. I can do that." Jason promised and Freddy then shot off towards the sky, flying away from the warehouse without telling anyone where they were headed.

"YoU kNoW wHo DiD iT, DoN't YoU tImOtHy?"

He slowly opened his eyes at this and attempted to glance around but nothing but darkness surrounded him. He found it hard to move, as if something restricted his movements. He released a breath before suddenly he lost his breath and gagged out blood. His eyes grew wide at this and unsure was was happening to him.

"DoN't PlAy DuMb."

He growled at this and then a flash of light appeared and blinded him. He forced his eyes to close and once opening them again, he knew exactly where he was. His lungs affected for air and pain spread throughout his entire body, blood spilling down his lips and probably into his lungs.

"Okay, kiddo, I gotta go. It's been fun, though, right?" The voice said and he tried to see who spoke but was unable to keep them open for a good amount of time. Blood dribbled past his lips and he managed to open a single eye to see the bloody cemented ground and the figure closing the door behind him.

He attempted to say something but was more focused on the soft sound of beeping. A chuckling escaped from the figure's lips and stated, "Well, maybe a smidge more fun for me than you. I'm just guessing since you're being awful quiet. Anyway, be a good boy, finish your homework, and be in bed by nine. And, hey, please tell the big man I said…'hello'."

Chuckling escaped the figure's lips and he knew instantly who it was at this. His felt his eyes grow slightly larger and as the door closed behind the figure. He slowly turned to the noise and took note of the a small whimper also heard behind him.

Is…someone else here? He thought to himself and struggled to look behind him. His eyes grew wide at the sight of a woman. She was tied up to a beam and her blue eyes wide at the sight of him. Her blond hair was messed up and dirty, her outfit cut apart and dirtied. Blood dribbled down from her stomach and he couldn't help but stare at her in horror.

"…I'm…sorry…" She mumbled and he felt himself struggling to get to her. He had the feeling to protect her for a strong sense of justice and hope.

"I…don't blame…ya…" The words spilled out his mouth yet sounded more of a gurgle and mumble of them together. The women continued to whimper and tears spilled down her cheeks.

"Please…save yourself…I'm bleeding out and…lost to much blood. Please. #&%!* do it for me. Live for me…I don't…deserve to live." She said and he growled at this, knowing it wasn't try.

He was reliving a memory but couldn't help but also feel the need to save this women. His limp leg dragged against the ground before slowly pulled himself up to stand on his own two feet. A grin spilt on his lips and he swayed to stay up but wrapped himself around her.

"My fate…is already sealed…I have…lung cancer…I'm dying anyway…I'm gonna protect ya…if it's the last thing…I can do…" He stated and slowly closed his eyes at this, his breath slowing down as the beeping began grow fiercer.

"I still love you…Sheila…mom." He said before a large explosion captured them both and pain captured his body but only a second after it faded.

Mom?

She wasn't his mom but why did he say it was his mom?

Right, he was reliving memories that were not his own.

"That was…Jason's death." Tim realized and chuckling surrounded him again, darkness circling him.

"You know. You know the truth know." It said around him and he blinked at this, slowly nodding.

He knew everything that Jason did not.

Why did he know when Jason could not? How was that fair for Jason?

"Because…if he remembers, what will that do to him? He will become broken. Shattered. Like glass repeatedly being broken over and over again by the same person just for the satisfaction of it." The black liquid spoke to him and he turned his head in the direction of the voice.

"You remember though, don't you?" He stated and the black liquid went silent before a form started appearing in front of him. It formed into a figure baring the Robin uniform teared and ripped apart. The uniform showed pale skin, from the tears, and the bruising and beatings. Blood spilled down it, coating most of the uniform in red, while also the smell of smoke circled around the figure. The uniform retaining most of its qualities but clearly showed it was in a more serious incident. Black hair parted half way but it was messy and soiled with dirt, dust, blood, and some of it had been burned off. A mask covered over his eyes but it barely hung on to his face from the thing strips of cloths keeping it together. A mouth was pen to breath heavily as blood trickled down its lips while a couple of teeth were missing.

Tim gave a sad smile at the figure and said, "You've been like this for so long without anyone remembering you…I'm sorry that this happened to you."

The black liquid's form seemed to gaze directly at him before nodding and his fingers twitched involuntarily.

"Indeed. I'm broken and I can not be fixed. No matter how hard anyone tries, I will not be able to change from what has happened to me." The black liquid stated and brought its hands to his face, dread kicking in, "But I was broken before this happened. After so much, I could handle anymore and this finally shattered me."

"I…I'm not as broken as you are, for sure. But I can feel the cracks slowly tearing me apart." Tim stated then sighed, "I don't think I will ever be as broken as you are but one day that might come."

Suddenly the black liquid's hands gripped Tim's shoulders tight and he looked to see an angry expression over its face.

"No. We won't allow that. Another bird will not fall. No. We will not let that happen. You will not shatter as we have." It hissed and Tim blinked at this, unsure to be worried about his situation.

"Hey, I can handle myself. I don't need any help." Tim snarled back before the black liquid removed his hands from his shoulders and brought it to his face.

"I can't help myself. I can't help myself. Who can I save then? I'm unable to save anyone anymore. I can't do anything! You are the only one I can help! I'm in agony! Absolute agony and despair!" He shouted and Tim frowned at this, "What can I do?! I'm utterly useless and forgotten! No one will remember me! Without you, I will disappear! Please! I beg of you, Timothy Jackson Drake!"

The black liquid clung to him with blood continually running down and tears now dribbling down. and Tim knew what would be escaping from the black liquid's lips.

"Please remember me as Jason Peter Todd!"

Jason's eyes grew wide and numbness was brought over him. His eyes wide and unable to move but his mouth open, ready to scream in agony but no words escaped his lips. It was if something was slowly being revealed to him and a curtain was being opened up for the first time in a long time.

"Jason…don't sacrifice yourself just for me…"

He placed his hands to his head in horror and realization as Freddy ran over to him in confusion and worry.

Tears built up in his eyes as he saw a woman with blond hair crying with blood dripping down from her stomach and horror across her expression. Her eyes widen in terror and her body tied against a beam.

He knew this woman…why did he know this woman?

"You don't want to remember…"

No, he did. He couldn't stand the fact that his death was a mystery to himself. It was ripping him apart.

"No…I want to know who she is." He mumbled and slowly tears built up to the surface.

IT WAS TEARING HIM APART.

"No, you don't. If you do, it'll break you. It will absolutely break you."

"You know, Jason Todd, I am absolutely positive that if you remember your death, you will ravel undone and never be able to be put back together again."

He snapped around in the direction of the voice and saw an unfamiliar face standing next to Freddy. The figure bore a white jumpsuit with a black leather jacket over it and black glasses that were highly popular in 60s with the black lens hiding his eye color. Black hair reached the nip of the guys neck and a stern expression crossed the person's face. His lips were pierced together and his arms crossed against his chest. The guy stood about an inch taller to Freddy's height but wasn't much against him and clicked his tongue against his teeth.

"Now I see why his spirit caused a brink in my sanity. He's completely unstable." The figure said and Jason blinked at this while he was completely split about what to do.

The woman who deems to be important but could not remember anything to do with her or the man that instantly knew of him and his balance of being mentally stable.

"Jason Todd, you caused me a hell lot of problems because of you." The figure said, as if he were purposely trying to pull him back to the present, and he twitched.

He knew him too…

He snapped his gaze away and brought his hands to his head again, trying to remember the woman.

She was far more important than the other guy since she was clearly connected to his death.

"Jesus, has he always been a numb skull?" The man muttered before suddenly an unnatural pull of his soul intended to separate him from Tim's body.

He wanted to scream at the pull before his focus disappeared on the woman but now towards the young man who had muttered something under his breath.

"Eternity."

"BaStArD!" Jason hissed at him and knew he was pulling his spirt out of Tim's body, anger was bubbling over him at this fact. Tim's body though clung to his spirit tightly and did not lose its grip on him before Jason thought of Tim's location, realizing that leaving his body alone would cause the black liquid to take control of it. He scowled at this and dropped any anger he held before the pull on his soul weakened to nothing.

"You…" Jason gasped for breath and the figure smirked at him, "Who the hell are you?"

"You should remember, buddy." The figure said and he narrowed his eyes at this, "I summoned you and you possessed me while also causing a mass of spirits to return to screw up my psyche. I'm Kit Freeman, Freddy's foster brother. I'm also known as Kid Eternity."

"Captain Marvel, do you know that both Sergeant Marvel and Lieutenant Marvel went through Zeta Tubes recently?" Batman questioned the Captain who blinked at this then rubbed his chin at this in confusion.

"No…from what I know, they don't even use it since they left. Are you are its not the computer that needs to updated or somethin'?" Captain Marvel asked and Batman growled at him before looking back into the log again, seeing another two familiar but long not used designations.

"Troia and Tempest are also in the system." Batman muttered and Captain Marvel sighed at this.

"Do ya want me to go check on this?" Billy asked and Batman nodded at this, even though he knew that it wasn't a mistake.

"Yes and make sure nothing is out of order." He stated and Captain Marvel nodded at this before taking off to find out what was going on.

Something wasn't adding up right and from what he was getting, something large was happening with Young Justice and they wouldn't tell them. But using Billy to get in would be the way to get the information.

Batman narrowed his eyes under his mask and pulled out his phone, pulling up a certain number he had not called nor seen a long time for about five years. He held his breath before dialing the person and placed the phone to his ear.

Dial tone greeted him until finally a voice greeted him, "Hello, Bruce."

Jason continued to stare at the teen whose ability was to summon spirits and claimed that he, himself, had took control over his body. He kept his distance from the teen and Freddy frowned at this since he knew that letting Jason see Kit could possibly lead to a disaster.

"Listen, Jason, I won't summon ya again so calm down. It's not like I can do it for very long anyway." Kit stated and looked to Freddy before asking, "Did ya bring any booze?"

Freddy sighed at this and Jason blinked at the question the teen just requested from the hero.

"No, you idiot. I can't just bring you booze just because you ask. You're being rehabilitated. And you're also underaged." Freddy said and Kit scowled at this.

"Fine, be a buzz kill." Kit muttered before whipping around and shouted, "For crap's sake, can ya leave me the hell alone for a second, Secret?!"

Both Jason and Freddy looked to see who he was talking to yet no one was around until suddenly mist gathered between the three and started forming into someone. A girl with long blond hair and bright blue eyes frowned at him, glancing down at the ground. She bore a white robe and fingered with her hair, worry across her face.

"Oh, so this is the girl you are talking about." Freddy stated and Jason blinked at this, his jaw hung open in confusion.

"What exactly is the reason of you bringing me here?" Jason asked and Freddy sighed, running his fingers through his hair.

"Well…I was hoping that you could possibly help Kit with an issue he has been dealing with since being…possessed…by you." Freddy replied and Jason released a breath as he watched Kit scowl at the girl who walked around him.

"Well, what is it?" Jason bugged him and Kit whipped his head towards Jason, scowling.

"I have some of your missing memories, Jason Todd." Kit stated and Jason winced at his full name, having not heard it in a long time.

"Yeah, then how come you wouldn't let me remember who the woman was a moment ago?" Jason hissed back and Kit sighed, scratching at his head while watching the girl move towards Jason.

"Because, as of right now, these other memories are more concerning." Kit stated and Jason narrowed his eyes at this, "These memories…they are making a mess in my own mind. I don't need them and I know you would like them back. Once you have taken the memories back though, you won't be able to forget it."

"Its my memories. Even if they are terrible and horrific, it won't change who I am. They are in the past once we stop Ra, I'll finally be put to rest." Jason told him and Kit then pointed to the girl who eerily got closer to him than he was comfortable with.

"Really? Once you remember your death, I think you may want to change your opinion. Look at Secret," Kit told him and pointed to the girl who stared at him in sorrow, "Her own brother killed her. You think that doesn't change a person then I don't know what will."

The girl reached towards him and opened her mouth saying, "Secret."

Suddenly laughter echoed all around him, the sound cutting deep into him and he couldn't help but try to get the sound away by blocking his ears but that did nothing.

"Stop it." He mumbled and looked around to see he was only surrounded by darkness.

YoU dOn'T wAnT tO rEmEmBeR.

But he did.

"Are you sure? Remembering the past is a dangerous thing. Once you finally remember it, it will haunt you for the rest of your time here." A female voice whispered around the laughing and he saw the girl frown at him, eyes full of sorrow.

"I remember every single moment prior to my death. Every time the blade pierced my body, my brother's face scaring my memory, every detail and the last thing I saw was a sign. My entire being was rewritten because of this memory. You may desire to remember it, it will break you. I just hope you will remember this warning, Jason Peter Todd." The girl said and he blinked at this as the laughter stopped.

How did she know his full name? He thought before returning back to reality with the worried face of Freddy staring at him.

"If you remember this memory, Jason, your mentality will become more unstable. Are you positive you can handle that?" Kit asked and Jason slowly nodded, trying to get a grip on what was to come.

"Don't come after me later if you see something you don't like." Kit muttered and then looked to the girl who gave them both a sad smile, "Do it, Secret."

The girl placed her hands on both of their shoulders and Jason's eyes grew wide, pain attacking him everywhere as he began to remember a missing piece towards his death.
