Epilogue

This will be the final chapter for Rebirth of Light, for now. This story already became bigger than I had originally planned it, but the idea kept evolving.

Ahsoka is on Naboo, reflecting on the past, while she waits for Anakin and Padmé to pick her up for her first journey to Coruscant since the nightmare of her execution. Let's see how things go.

Hope you enjoy.

;-

Ahsoka Tano stood waiting outside of the house on Naboo that now belonged to her. It had been another shocker for her when Padmé had told her that she could have the place they all stayed in before. Now, however, she was really happy about it. This was a wonderful place, located in an amazing area on Naboo. Also, it wasn't exactly in a populated area, so she didn't have to worry about accidentally harming anyone while she was practicing.

She had spent five years living here peacefully on Naboo. During this time, she had practiced almost every day to master the immense power that she had been given. Anakin had helped her a lot with regaining the control that she had lost because of everything that happened to her. When she had regained her control, she was able to limit the energy flowing through her. Then during those five years, she had spent a lot of time practicing to familiarize herself with the energy. Now, finally, she was in full control.

Now being able to tap into the full extent of the power coursing through her, it was easy to understand why her mind was overloaded when those powers began to awaken. It had been a struggle to believe that she was that powerful back then. She certainly hadn't felt like it.

It was a completely different story now. She was in full control and in tune with the Light Side like she had never been before. As Anakin had told her, she practically radiated light these days. She couldn't help but wonder what kind of reactions she would get on Coruscant.

Coruscant… The planet still brought up some bad memories. Sure, the Jedi Council and the Republic had been working to make amends, but this would be the first time she would meet them in five years. Considering what happened the last time she saw them, it left her a little worried.

Five years ago, thanks to the warning she had Anakin send to Obi-Wan, they had been able to unmask Sidious before he could alter his plans and take over the galaxy. The Council had been able to put a stop to him and Dooku, removing the schemes of the Sith from the galaxy. Considering the very violent series of visions that she had experienced, she was glad that they had been successful in doing so. The warning of the Force had been very welcome, but she didn't have to see so much of it. The images had plagued her dreams for quite some time afterwards, but they thankfully faded later.

Because the Sith were out of the way, uncovering all of the hidden plots and corruption in both sides of the war had been easier, leading to new and finally successful peace negotiations. About three weeks after her arrival on Naboo the hostilities stopped. Two months after that the war was officially over. With that out of the way, they had begun repairing the galaxy and undoing all of the evil left behind.

Because of the fact that they never would have been able to figure it out without her warning, the Jedi Council and the Republic Senate had been trying to get in contact with her to try and make amends. At that time, she hadn't wanted to have to do anything with them. She didn't want to see any of them because the memories of what they had done to her were still too fresh. Besides that, she was also afraid of herself, feeling that she might explode into anger and accidentally destroy the whole place with her magnified but terribly unstable powers.

After some talking, Padmé had convinced her to let her and Anakin do the talking with them. She had been alright with that, she didn't have to interact directly with them that way. Anakin had make it pretty clear to the Council that Ahsoka didn't want to see any of them right now. They had spent quite some time discussing things with them. In the end, the Republic Senate and the Council had offered to support her financially, to provide her whatever she might need while she recovered from her ordeals. They felt it was the least they could do, especially with her not wanting to be around them. Anakin assured her that they were genuine about making things right. Seeing as he felt it was true, she had accepted that proposal, as long as they would let her be in peace and not send people out after her.

And so it was that she was able to live here quietly for so long. She had been able to get whatever she needed whenever she needed it, but she didn't abuse the financial support she was given. That is, not all the time. Anakin had talked her into overspending on nice things a few times, mentioning it as a bit of payback for their stupidity. She had to agree, a few of the more expensive things she had bought were nice to have around.

Over the years, Anakin and Padmé had visited her frequently. After their children were born, they had brought them over as well to introduce Ahsoka to her godchildren. She had been surprised by the fact that Padmé had twins, but then again, so were Anakin and Padmé. Still, she couldn't deny that her heart had melted the first time she saw Luke and Leia. The two of them had been so adorable and she had been smiling for days after their first visit.

When they had been a little older, Anakin had Padmé had asked her from babysit them from time to time. She had been very happy to do so each time. With Padmé's duties as a Senator and Anakin having rejoined the Order, it had happened quite a few times.

It had been surprising news to her when during one of their visits, Anakin told her that he had rejoined the Jedi Order and was now a Jedi Master. Considering how Anakin thought of the Council when he left the Order, she had not ever expected him to rejoin.

Apparently, as Anakin had explained her, the Council had seen some errors in the way they handled the Code and the Force. The end of the war, thankfully a bright one, had made them realize just how blind they had become. They had no other option but to admit that they needed to make changes.

Obi-Wan had talked a lot with Anakin after the war's end. He had always sensed some hints of darkness in his former apprentice, but it wasn't until after he read through some of Sidious' documents and learned of his intention to turn Anakin to the Dark Side, that he realized just how badly things could've ended. However, when he discussed these matters with Anakin, he could sense that a great deal, if not all, of the darkness had already left him. It was clear to him that Anakin's way of handling the Force, to feel and form attachments, wasn't immediately a bad thing.

He had asked Anakin to perhaps consider some ideas for how the Order should change. Seeing as Luke and Leia were both Force-sensitive as well, which hadn't really surprised anyone, they might eventually need some more teachers to handle their abilities.

It had been a long series of negotiations between Anakin and the Council. He was not willing to give in even the slightest bit. The Order needed to change and he would make sure that they did.

Anakin had proposed a number of changes to the Code that had been worked out further in all of the talks between him and the Council. A few of them had still been skeptical about the changes, so Anakin had suggested to send the new ideas to everyone in the Order, so that they would be able to comment on it.

The feedback on the suggested ideas had been overwhelmingly positive. So, after a few more days of debating a number of subjects, the Council had officially accepted the new version of the code and had asked Anakin to rejoin the Order, offering him a seat on the Council, per Obi-Wan's suggestion, so that he would be able to help out the Order.

It had been a surprise decision to Ahsoka, but after everything they had told her, she knew it was the right decision for Anakin. It was obvious to her that he missed Obi-Wan.

Now, she wondered what all of these changes would mean for her upcoming meeting with the Council. She shook her head and pushed those thoughts away for now.

Apart from Anakin, Padmé and their children, Lux had also visited her frequently. Whenever they were all visiting together, Padmé had been trying to get her and Lux together. Anakin had been a little hesitant about his wife's idea, but he had the Force as well and could sense the feelings between the two, including their slight embarrassment, so he had joined in as well to tease the would-be couple.

Ahsoka wouldn't admit it openly to them, but she wouldn't lie to herself either, she did like Lux and it was clear to her that he liked her as well. She had seen on quite a few occasions just how happy Anakin and Padmé were together, experiencing that herself was quite appealing.

However, there was something that kept her from pursuing a relationship with Lux right now and that was her own insecurities. She just couldn't trust herself back then not to accidentally hurt Lux. Fortunately, he had understood how she felt and he would continue to support her and wait until she was ready.

Ahsoka had been very grateful for that, his support had helped her through a lot. They had spent some time together occasionally, but they hadn't taken things further, yet. Now that she was in full control and felt comfortable with her abilities, she wanted to try and move things along with Lux. She knew that he had been incredibly busy lately with all sorts of political business, but she hoped he would be able to come to Coruscant later.

A ripple in the Force shook her out of her train of thought. She looked up to observe the sky. In the distance, she spotted the all too familiar shining silhouette of a Naboo starcruiser heading towards her. The silver ship made its way towards her house and moved to land.

She knew that the ship officially belonged to Padmé, but Anakin had made a habit of 'borrowing' it very frequently. Knowing his reputation as a pilot, it surprised Ahsoka that the ship was actually still in one piece after all this time.

She had to wonder how Padmé felt from time to time. Ahsoka could picture her walking into the hangars of the Senate building with a few advisors or other senators, about to travel somewhere together for some political talks, only to find her ship missing once again. She shook her head in amusement as the ship moved to land.

The cruiser set down and the boarding ramp descended. To her great enjoyment, Luke and Leia ran down the ramp first. She smiled and kneeled down. When they reached her, she pulled them both into a hug. "Auntie 'Soka!" they both said happily.

"Oh, it's good to see you two," she replied happily. They separated and she looked them over. "You two are getting bigger each time I see you. Are you still messing with your father for me from time to time?"

The twins giggled. "Yes, we are," Leia replied.

"That's good," Ahsoka said as she stood up. Anakin and Padmé were also walking up to her.

Anakin smiled. "Good to see you, Snips," he said excitedly. He pulled her into a hug pretty much instantly. "Are you ready for this?" he asked with slight concern present in his voice.

Ahsoka returned the hug. "It's good to see you as well, Skyguy," she replied after they separated. "I think so, we'll just have to see how this goes. I don't intend to stay if I don't like what they have to say."

"Good to hear that Ahsoka," Padmé said as she hugged her as well. "And don't worry, we'll be right there with you." She smiled at Ahsoka. "If they act like a bunch of fools, then it's just their loss. They can't force you to do anything."

"Thanks Padmé," Ahsoka replied with a smile. "I'm glad to have you with me, this might be a little hard. But, you're right, with how strong I've become, there's nothing they can do to me."

Anakin looked at her with some concern. He figured that it would be a lot harder on her than she thought. But she was right about one thing, with how strong she had become, the Council wouldn't be able to do anything to her. And he would stand by her side should they try anything, he wouldn't let them hurt her again.

"Don't worry Snips, the Council seems to have learned a few things over the years, so I hope things will go well," Anakin said. "If they decide to cause trouble, we'll deal with them."

"Now, shall we get going Ahsoka?" Padmé asked her.

Ahsoka took a deep breath and nodded. "Yes, let's go," she replied. "I have everything packed, so we can get going." She gestured at the suitcases standing behind her. "Let's see how this plays out."

"Don't worry, Snips," Anakin said as he patted her shoulder. "We're here with you." He gave her a smile when she looked at him. She smiled back and they collected her bags and moved on board the ship.

;-

Ahsoka sat onboard the Skywalker family's cruiser. After settling in, she had talked with Anakin and Padmé for a bit about some recent events. Now, she was thinking about the meeting on Coruscant. While she was still somewhat hesitant to face the Jedi again, there was some curiosity as well. She was wondering how her old friends were doing now, how they had changed over these long years.

Have some of her friends become Jedi Knights yet? Are the younglings she took on the Gathering all Padawans now? Have any of them entered relationships now that it's allowed in the Order? She hoped they were doing fine now that they no longer had to worry about the war.

Not all of her thoughts were good however, there was also quite a bit of concern, mainly for Barriss.

She wondered how Barriss had been doing over the years. After all, what she had heard about her friend had made her really worried. About two weeks after she had arrived on Naboo, Barriss had uploaded a video onto the holonet. This video was her saying that she felt that there was something wrong with her. Much to the surprise of everyone watching, she confessed to having been the one that bombed the Jedi temple and worked to see Ahsoka wrongfully executed. The video ended with her in tears, apologizing to everyone, especially Ahsoka.

Master Unduli had been in the Temple when that video became public and had immediately made her way to her Padawan's quarters. When she arrived there, Barriss was on the ground, convulsing from an overdose of medicine. Because of Luminara's quick thinking and the fast response of the healers, she had survived that day.

Barriss' uncharacteristic actions had left many people shocked and confused, especially Luminara and a few of the healers that Barriss had often worked with, not to mention Ahsoka. There were many questions surrounding the whole situation. Eventually, a very thorough medical scan of her body revealed a very shocking truth.

Her central nervous system had been invested with nano droids. More detailed analysis of the nano droids had shown that they were able to influence the nervous system, effectively turned the host into some form of puppet. The stains of Dark Side alchemy had been very present on the miniscule droids.

The searches of Palpatine's office and documents had revealed that he had been behind it all. A standard mission that Barriss had been assigned was a trap to capture her. They had tortured her to weaken her mind, injected her with the nano droids and then altered her memories so no one, not even herself, would have known what had really happened.

Barriss had been an innocent victim in one of Palpatine's schemes to gain control of Anakin, by seeing Ahsoka executed. When Barriss' confession video came out, many people were angry with her and very displeased by the fact that she was still alive. Then, when the truth came out, many felt sorry for her and hoped she would be alright.

Her attempt at suicide and the removal of the nano droids had taken a tremendous toll on her body and mind. She had fallen into a deep coma and it had taken over 5 months for her to wake up from it. When she had woken up, she had been shocked, almost disappointed, by the fact that they had saved her life after what she had done. She felt that she deserved to die for the crimes she had committed.

The healers had contacted Luminara when Barriss had woken up. Once she got there, she had told her padawan the whole story of what had truly happened to her. Learning all of that had really shocked Barriss to her core. The idea that she had just been a puppet for the plans of a Sith Lord had upset her greatly, that she had been too weak to resist his plans. It had taken Luminara a lot of time to convince Barriss that it hadn't been her fault.

After Barriss had accepted the truth, the path to her own recovery had begun. She had been left severely weakened from everything and had to go through months of rehabilitation. Luminara and her friends had been there to support her, but it had been a rough time for her.

When she had fully recovered, Barriss had made the decision to no longer carry a lightsaber. Instead, she chose to fully devote herself to healing. From what Ahsoka had heard, she had become a full member of the Circle of Healers about fifteen months ago. While Ahsoka had quite some mixed feelings about this trip to Coruscant, she was eager to see Barriss again, to see how she was doing now.

Her attention drifted to the door when Luke and Leia came in. "Auntie 'Soka, we started practicing with lightsaber a few weeks ago," Leia said excitedly.

"We're going to practice with daddy, want to come and see?" Luke asked in an equally excited tone.

Ahsoka smiled at the two of them. "Of course," she replied. "Let's go and see what you can do." She got up and followed the excited twins to a different room of the ship.

Coruscant

Ahsoka and the others had finally arrived on Coruscant. It was with some apprehension that Ahsoka followed the Skywalker family down the ramp of the cruiser. She instantly saw that the entire Council was waiting for her, as was the new Chancellor Organa. She had heard of him being chosen as chancellor and she knew that Padmé had negotiated a lot with him regarding her situation.

Her pace slowed a bit as her nervousness increased. Anakin noticed and turned around, giving her a comforting smile. She nodded at him and walked up to him. They then continued to the Chancellor and the Council, trying to ignore the countless others that had gathered around to see this, especially the reporters present.

Ahsoka stepped up to them a bit and looked them over. Through the Force, she could sense that their aura in the Force was somewhat lighter than she could remember. She could also sense the regret in them and the Chancellor. Still, she wasn't exactly sure how it made her feel.

"It's a really strange sensation," she said slowly. "Meeting the people that murdered you… I'm not sure if I like this feeling…" She could tell that her words had an effect on the Council and the chancellor like an ice pick stabbing them straight through the heart. She didn't feel sorry about it, it was the truth after all.

She was glad that the Force was with her, just like it always was. It really helped her deal with the bizarre combination of emotions that she was feeling right now.

Chancellor Organa then walked up to her and bowed when he reached her, surprising her quite a bit. "Ahsoka Tano, on behalf of the Republic I wish to apologize for the horrific events that you were forced to experience," he began. "We made many wrong and rushed decisions. We forgot the core foundations of our court system and because of that, you were wronged severely and paid a terrible price for our failures."

Chancellor Organa shook his head. "Despite all of that, you still chose to aid us and in doing so, saved us from a threat that we didn't even know existed, before we all suffered greatly from it," he said as he as he bowed again. "You truly are one of the kindest spirits out there and your actions serve as an example for all of us."

"I want you to know, that after we learned the truth about Palpatine and stopped his dark plans, that we have worked tirelessly to undo all of his evil work and restore to Republic to what it once was, before this war," he informed her. "It has been a long struggle, there was a lot to do and there still is, but we have made great progress."

"I'm very glad to see you back here on Coruscant. I hope that you will be able to move on and eventually forgive our failures," Chancellor Organa told her. "If there is anything I can do for you, if there is anything that you might need, then please, do not hesitate to contact me. I will do what I can for you."

"Thank you, Chancellor," Ahsoka replied after a short moment. This formal apology from him was nothing that she had expected when she made the decision to return to Coruscant. She had to admit, it made her feel a little better about this whole situation.

The Chancellor bowed again, then excused himself so he could return to his duties. Ahsoka looked after him a moment. She felt pleased that the Republic had been working on making the changes needed. She had been quite skeptical due to her past experiences, but she did like what she sensed around Bail Organa.

Now that the Chancellor was gone, she turned her attention towards the others she'd been worried about, the members of the Jedi Council. They were still standing some ways away from her. She didn't feel like going to them, so she waited for them to make the first move.

A short moment later Plo Koon made his way towards her. "Ko-to-yah, Ahsoka," he said as he bowed his head. "It warms my heart to see you here again. You look well and I am truly glad for that." He took a deep breath. "Ahsoka, let me be the first to apologize to you. We made horrible mistakes and let ourselves be blind to the Force and the truth. You paid the price for our failures."

Plo Koon paused a moment and took a deep breath. "Everything we have today, we owe to you," he continued. "If it had not been for your warning, we would not have been able to stop Palpatine's plots." He gestured at the other Jedi gathered around. "Because of you, we have been able to restore peace to the galaxy and save our Order from darkness. Ever since then, with Skywalker's help, we have been working on improving the Order and what it means to be a Jedi."

Shaak Ti walked up to her as well. "Ahsoka, let me start by saying sorry," she said when she reached her. "I, like the others, have made some grave errors in judgement and it was you who paid for that. I deeply regret everything that I said to you back then, I hope you can one day forgive me for it."

She then gave a small smile. "Plo is right, we have been working on improving our Order since then," she said. "It's because of you that we were able to do so and for that I thank you. Despite everything, you showed us all what it truly means to be a Jedi. I'm sure that there is a lot we can all learn from you. I do hope that you will consider rejoining the Order, but I can understand if you do not have any desire too."

Ahsoka gave her fellow Togruta a brief nod. She was at least glad that it seemed that the Council wouldn't try to get her to rejoin the Order immediately. They were going to leave that decision up to her and she was grateful for that. It would give her the opportunity to calmly observe for herself just how the Order has changed.

She recalled what the Father had told her five years ago, that the power of Light was now hers and to gift to those she deemed deserving of it. The Council had failed their test five years ago, now, it was time to see if they had learned their lesson and really had changed their ways.

Right now, only she herself, Anakin, Padmé and Lux knew the truth about her resurrection and what it fully meant. Whether or not the Council would learn as well, would all depend on what she would witness in the coming days. If they really had learned their lesson, if they really have changed their ways, then they might just come to know the Light side of the Force like she does now.

In truth, a part of her did find the idea of rejoining slightly appealing, if only for the fact that she would be able to teach others what she had learned over the years. Especially the idea of teaching the younglings like she had done in the past sounded very welcoming to her.

When it came to light that Luke and Leia were both Force-sensitive, which they learned through a rather humorous incident at dinner during one of their visits, the idea of Ahsoka teaching them some things had come up quite quickly. She had, of course, already taught them a few tricks so they could mess with Anakin for her, and she found that she really liked teaching the enthusiastic children. It was something for her to consider.

However, it would all come down to how the Council acted the coming days. If she didn't like what she witnessed, then she would leave. She could always teach Luke and Leia and perhaps other children on Naboo as well.

She decided to think about it later as the rest of the Council approached her as well. Each of them gave a small bow as Master Yoda walked a little closer. "Ahsoka Tano, glad to see you again, I am," he told her. "Paid for our mistakes, you did, deeply apologize for that, I do. To see you doing well, a relief it is."

"Master Yoda is right, Ahsoka," Obi-Wan said with a smile. "Anakin has kept me informed about your condition, but seeing you with my own eyes is a lot better. You look like you're doing quite well. And I can clearly sense that you have grown a lot stronger over the years."

Ahsoka could see a number of the others of the Council nodding in agreement, whether it was that they agreed with Obi-Wan that it was good to see her or that she was stronger, she did not know. However, what they could sense was limited. "With all due respect," Ahsoka replied. "What you're sensing right now is nowhere close to my real power. I have no need to exert my full energy all the time. There's a good change that it might overwhelm some of the others gathered here." She looked at the crowd of Jedi, a number of the younglings would probably not be able to fully handle her energy. It could overwhelm their minds.

With those words, she could sense some nervousness among a few of the people standing in front of her, but it wasn't that strong. After all, if she had wanted revenge against the Order, she wouldn't have given them the information that saved them all in the first place. She hoped they would all remember that.

"Tell I can, that learned much, you have," Master Yoda said as he concentrated on the Force a bit. "Bright in the Force, your presence is. Amongst the brightest I've encountered, I have, in all my years, possibly even the brightest." He chuckled a bit. "Clear it is, that much to learn, we might have from you. Hope that consider rejoining us, you will, if forgive us, you can."

"Return to our business, we now will. Much to discuss, we have," Master Yoda said with a smile. "Several youngling excursions, coming up they are. Plan those, we must. Changed greatly, the Order has. When finished with our meetings, and when feel ready, you do, my pleasure it would be, to show you around the New Order. See for yourself, the changes, you will be able to. Then decide what to do, you can."

Ahsoka nodded slowly. "Thank you Master, that sounds like a nice idea," she replied. She had to be honest, simply returning here to Coruscant and coming to face with all of them again was quite difficult for her still. This way, she could first rest for a bit and take her time to see how things have changed. "I think I will take you up on your offer in the coming days."

"Looking forward to it, I am," Master Yoda said as he nodded. "Until then, may the Force be with you." With that, him and the others of the Council headed back towards the Temple, a few of them giving her a friendly nod or smile before leaving.

Ahsoka took a deep breath and relaxed a bit. This had gone a lot better than she had originally expected and for that, She was glad. The Council seemed to have found their sense of patience again and they were going to let her decided when she was ready to take a look at how things have changed.

She looked around the place a bit. It did feel lighter in the Force than she remembered when she left Coruscant five years ago. However, considering the fact that the war was still on and a Sith Lord was controlling the senate, it wasn't really that surprising. From her visions, she had clearly seen how the galaxy would have become under his rule. The mere thought of it had caused her the occasional sleepless night. She was truly glad that they had managed to avoid those nightmares.

There were still quite a few Jedi around, talking with each other and looking at her, wondering if they should go and talk to her, but they were quite uncertain about what to do. However, in the group of Jedi, one familiar Mirialan did make her way towards her.

Ahsoka smiled a little when Barriss walked up to her. Much to Ahsoka's relief, she looked to be doing well. After everything that she had heard, she feared otherwise. "Barriss, it's good to see you," she said with a smile.

"Ahsoka," Barriss said with a smile, but it quickly faded and a pained look took its place. "Ahsoka, what happened before… I am so sorry… I…"

"Barriss, don't," Ahsoka cut her off. "You weren't responsible for what happened. You weren't in control of your actions. In any case, it wasn't you that made those horribly wrong decisions in the court." She smiled at her friend. "I forgave you a long time ago."

Barriss started to tear up at her friends words. "Ahsoka, I…" She tried to think of something to say, but the words wouldn't come. There was just too much pain and doubt left in her. She looked down in shame.

Ahsoka could sense the pain in her friend. "Barriss, come here," she said as she moved to pull her friend into a hug. Barriss hesitated a moment, but then moved into her embrace. Ahsoka held her friend closely. "What happened wasn't your fault Barriss," she softly said to her. "You have to let it go now, all of it, and move on. Don't let this haunt you." With that, she concentrated on the Force, guiding her Light towards Barriss.

Barriss had no idea how to respond. Ahsoka was already willing to forgive her, but she felt that she didn't deserve it. She tried to open her mouth and say something, but stopped when she suddenly felt Ahsoka's presence in the Force light up. There was a rumor floating in the Temple over the years that Ahsoka must have gotten a lot stronger over the years, she had thought that as well, but she had never imagined that it would be like this. She had never felt anything like this before. Ahsoka's presence was like a bright sun, it cut through all of the pain and doubt she felt. All those traces of darkness were driven out by her pure light. She couldn't help but let out a content sigh and hold her friend a little closer.

After a few minutes they separated again, Barriss feeling better than she had in many years. "Ahsoka… I… Thank you…" she said softly, not knowing what else to say.

Ahsoka gave her a wide smile. "My pleasure Barriss," she replied happily, glad that she was able to help her friend. "I'm really glad to see you doing well after everything I heard."

"Me too Ahsoka," Barriss said close to the verge of tears. "After everything that happened, I'm so glad to see you. You look like you're doing quite well."

Ahsoka chuckled a bit. "It's been a rough time for me as well, but I managed to overcome everything," she replied. "Being back on Coruscant is rather unnerving though, to be honest, but thankfully things are going better than I expected."

Barriss managed a smile at hearing that. "It's good to hear that, Ahsoka," she said. "I don't know if there's anything I can do for you, but do let me know if you need anything while you're on Coruscant."

"I will Barriss," Ahsoka replied with a smile. "I'm really hoping that we can catch up later on. I've missed you quite a bit."

"That would be great Ahsoka," Barriss said happily. "Do let me know when you have time to get together. I have to get going now. I have a class of younglings to teach now, they have quite some potential as healers."

"That sounds wonderful Barriss," Ahsoka replied. She could sense how happy her friend was with teaching younglings in being a healer. "I'll be sure to contact you later. And I'm sure that those younglings will become great healers with you as their teacher."

Barriss smiled at that and the two said their goodbyes. As Barriss started making her way back to the Temple, Ahsoka headed back to Anakin and Padmé.

"Are you doing alright Ahsoka?" Anakin asked when she reached them. "I think that went pretty well, don't you think?"

"I think so," Ahsoka replied. "I expected things to go very differently. Maybe they have learned their lesson."

Padmé smiled at her. "There's been a lot of changes here on Coruscant, Bail has been doing a fine job as Chancellor," she said. "And Ani has been keeping the Council in check, so that they won't fall back to their old habits. But you can see that for yourself later. How about we go to our apartment? Let's get something to eat and then you can see what you want to do tomorrow."

"Sounds like a good plan Padmé," Ahsoka replied. "I'd really like that." This had been a stressful day for her, so a nice, quiet evening sounded like a great idea.

"Come on then," Padmé said as she gestured to a nearby speeder where Dormé was looking over Luke and Leia. Ahsoka nodded and the three of them left to go to the Skywalker's apartment on Coruscant.

;-

That's the end of the epilogue.

As you may have noticed, from this ending we can still go a lot of places. If people want to, I'll pick this story up again at a later time. First I want to continue my other stories.

A thanks to Ahsokanerd, who let me write this sequel to his one shot story. It's a real shame that you're no longer on Fanfiction. I hope to you see come back one day.

I'm going to work on the Ilum chapters for my Ahsoka and Barriss stories now. I've been looking forward to writing those for quite some time. As you know, the caves don't give up their secrets easily, so you can expect quite a challenge for Barriss and Aisha.

Until next time.
