I do not own 'Danny Phantom'

Consequences

In the Ghost Zone, we find Clockwork.

He was, figuratively, at the edge of his seat. The Time ghost had kept an eye on the paradox just as he had stated. He had watched what transpired between Dan-ny and the ghosts that attacked the school.

That was when things began getting intense. He had actually thought that Dan was going to push himself over the edge and become the monster he was. Imagine his surprise when he, the Master of Time, was wrong!

Dan had not only drawn back his rage, he comforted someone.

Clockwork was...impressed. Knowing what and when something would happen always took away the spark. It had been so long, if ever, since he had a good shock.

Now the action was done for the day and the Paradox and sister were settling for the night.

"You do not disappoint." He spoke aloud. "But you must learn that every action has a consequence."

Jazz was pacing back and forth in her room.

She was a mess, both physically and mentally. The stress of what had transpired earlier that day had more than taken a toll on her.

She was currently going over everything she knew about Dark Dan that she got from Danny before...this happened. As well as all known knowledge and theories on time. She didn't know about Dan's involvement with Clockwork. No one did.

It makes no sense, Danny stopped him! She thought as she went over the information. All of the events that created him have passed.

The Nasty Burger blows up killing the Fentons and his closest friends. This fills him with pain and leaves him alone, sending him to the only person who could hope to destroy him. The pain still too much, he has his humanity removed. The Ultimate Enemy is born, destroying both the Ghost Zone and Earth for ten years.

But it was all prevented! She thought frantically.

The Nasty Burger is still standing.

\/

We're still alive.

\/

Danny doesn't go to Vlad and remove his humanity.

Without those events, he shouldn't exist! She thought. His very world shouldn't exist!

And yet he did, it boggled her mind. As if time had just cut everything from the loop...She stopped mid-thought with growing horror.

It's...It's all connected! She thought in horrid realization. Not alternate reality, a time loop!

All those things could be cut out so long as the one key factor stayed. Danny loses his humanity. If that happens, it wouldn't matter if they lived or not, he wouldn't care. The Ultimate enemy would be born.

Is the future inevitable? She asked herself. The more she thought on it, the more dread filled her. But Danny stopped him...yet Danny is him...and here he is...and he saved me.

That part of it still boggled her mind. He should have killed Jazz just for the fun of it, unless there were parts to this plot she was missing.

It was too much for even her brain to process. There were too many variables and unasked questions.

Maybe I just need some rest. She thought as she crawled into her bed. I'll be able to focus when I'm less tired.

She finally let the soothing touch of sleep claim her.

As she slept, her mind took her to a place that no longer existed. An event she shouldn't have a clue about, an event wiped from time.

The Nasty Burger explosion.

There he stood, the Ultimate Enemy, her little brother.

He was distracted with the others, this was a perfect chance. She ran behind the evil ghost and punched at his back. Instead of hitting him, his body simply opened to let her arm pass through him.

Nice try Jazz. He spoke mockingly as he turned his neck owlishly. But me, my future, I'm inevitable.

He bound her to the crumbled building with the others. The meter reached critical before it finally it was too much.

Everything was engulfed in the burning explosion and she knew was pain. All the while he could here the evil laughter across her mind. Then nothing.

There was no Danny to save her.

Dan-ny was close to falling asleep when it happened, Jazz screamed.

He didn't think, he just acted. He changed into his ghost form and flew into her room. His hands were already charged up with ecto-energy.

There he saw her thrashing around, still asleep. This calmed him only slightly, she was still in discomfort.

"Jazz!" He called as she thrashed. "Jazz, wake up! It's just a nightmare!"

She finally stopped thrashing. Her eyes fluttered as she awoken from her nightmare.

She took one look at her brother and screamed. This threw him off completely. He took one look around the room and understood her turmoil.

He stood above her, radiating with his ecto-energy. His power illuminated the room, giving it an ominous look. His shadow was lengthened and carried a flame like affect as his ecto-energy flickered.

"Get away!" She shouted.

Dan-ny transformed back into his human form in hopes of appeasing her.

"Jazz!" They heard their parents shout.

A single second later, her door was busted inwardly. There stood his parents, brandishing ecto-weapons. Dan-ny instinctively turned invisible so he wouldn't be questioned for his reason being there.

"Jazz!" Their mother called worried. "Is something wrong?"

"Is it ghost related?" Jack asked as he scanned the room.

Jazz looked around her room and didn't see her brother. She visibly relaxed, thinking he was gone.

Danny noticed her action and felt...hurt. Turning away, he prepared to leave when something caught his eyes. A few books on her bed, he was able to get a decent look at a few. All were connected to one single topic.

Time theories.

I see. He thought as he left.

Dan-ny hadn't gotten any sleep that night. He was too guilt ridden and his mind was racing. All centered around a single thing. Jazz was afraid of him.

Of him!

Though he couldn't blame her. If the old Danny had ever mentioned the old him, then it was all bad.

No need to doddle on these thoughts for now. He thought. Being part human means I need to rest.

While he found there were things he missed about being part human, this was not one of them. It was an inconvenience.

Danny had awoken bright and early.

His ghost sense went off a few times during the night, but he ignored them. He may be back to the old day, but he wasn't the old him. There was no reason he needed to go out and fight every ghost.

He made his way down stairs, after checking on Jazz. He wanted to get some breakfast that hadn't been turned into an abomination by his mother.

Sitting down to the T.V with a bowl of cereal, he turned to the news.

There was no surprise when he saw that it was about him. A town superhero always got air time.

A poorly recorded video began playing, obviously from someone's phone.

Dan began forming an ecto-orb above his head. It grew from his usual baseball size at a rapid rate. It began growing until it was the size of a small car.

"Come on out 13!" Dan shouted at the top of his lungs, boarder ghostly wail. "Or I'll turn this entire area into a vacant lot!"

The video paused there and returned to the speaker.

"As you can see, local hero Danny Phantom has just threatened to destroy the area, putting dozens of lives at risk." She spoke before a coy smile formed on her lips. "But his reason behind it is one nobody would have guessed."

Another video played, just as poorly.

"Why?!" The ghost wailed.

Dan pointed a finger at Jazz.

"The only reason I don't re-kill you is because I want you to pass on a little message about attacking those I care about." He growled.

The video skipped from there to the two embraced in a hug. Jazz crying her heart out with him doing his best to comfort her.

The video paused there and a heart began forming around the two.

"It seems we may have our own hero love story going on."

With that, the news began playing something about the weather. Dan~ny had no idea. His mind was far to gone at the assumption made by the news reporters.

They think I'm dating Jazz!

Review

Sorry for ending it here, I just wanted to give that a chance to sink in.
