The T-Car, with Cyborg at the wheel, came to a screeching halt in the parking lot for KJMP, Jump City's oldest television station. As the Titans leaped out of the car they encountered throngs of terrified TV station employees, who were clearly running for their lives. Robin reached out and grabbed one them, a young woman.

"What's happening?" Robin asked her.

"He's a madman!"

"Control Freak? What is he doing?"

"The TV shows … they all came to life!"

"I don't understand, do you mean that the characters in the show now exist in the real world?"

The woman broke away from Robin's grasp and ran away. Robin smacked his fist and palm together.

"He's gone too far this time. Titans Go!"

The fab five ran and flew into the now abandoned TV station. Cyborg popped up a holographic display on his arm and tuned it to KJMP's broadcast signal. As soon as it became clear they could see Control Freak dancing in the news studio, surrounded by the various TV show monsters he had conjured to life using his clicker.

"Titans, where are you? I'm waiting for you!" He taunted them in a sing song voice.

"He's waiting for us? I'm gonna open a can of butt kicking and teach him a thing or two." Cyborg fumed.

"He's obviously laid a trap for us. Rushing in would be foolish." Raven droned.

"Which is why we're not gonna play his game. We're splitting up and we'll draw him out." Robin replied.

"Uh, dude, what if that's what he wants us to do? He might be a geek, but he does kinda know us and the way we do things." The changeling interjected.

"This is Control Freak, B. He's an idiot. He's expecting us to rush into the studio. When we refuse to engage him, he'll do something stupid and we'll catch him. We always do."

"Cyborg's right. Raven, you're with Beast Boy. Go to the game show studio and make sure he knows you're there. Cy, go to the transmitter room. Star and I will move around the station. When he comes out og the newsroom, we'll converge and bust him."

"Dude, I don't think that's such a good idea."

"You have your orders. Titans Go!"

Beast Boy and Raven were the first to leave. They followed the signage to the studio section of the station. The first one they encountered had a large sign in front of it that announced that the "Dating Game" would be held in there later that day.

"I guess today's show is canceled." The changeling remarked.

"Thank Azar. Have you ever watched it?"

"Nope"

"It's one of Starfire's favorites, right up there with 'World of Fungus' and 'Superhero Daily'. I've watched it with her more than once."

"More than once?"

"She begged me."

"What did you think of it?"

"It was inane. I don't know how they screen their participants, but most of the couples were total losers and idiots. It was so brain dead it was pathetic."

"So what do they do on the show?"

"They ask them questions without their partners present, then ask the other partner the same question and see if he or she can guess how the other one answered. You wouldn't believe the things they said."

He snickered. "If I didn't know better, it almost sounds like you actually like the show."

"Don't be ridiculous." She deadpanned as they entered the studio. It was a large auditorium with a stage at the bottom. On the stage was the Dating Game's set, including signage and furniture.

"So what do we do now?" He asked.

Raven pointed at the stage. He nodded and they walked down the steps until they reached the set, where they milled about for a few minutes, not sure of what they were looking for.

"So now what do we do?" He asked again.

Raven shrugged her shoulders. Beast Boy looked around and saw the podium were game show host would stand. He walked up to it and tapped on the microphone, which was off. He push its switch to the on position and tapped it again, and found it was now alive. He smiled and stood up straight and making his voice much deeper he announced:

"Goooooood evening, Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm your host, Gar Logan. Welcome to the DATING GAME!"

Raven rolled her eyes.

"Our first couple tonight is Jump's very own celebrity couple …. Staaaarfire and Robin."

Raven face palmed.

The changeling took the wireless mike and walked over to the empty seats where Robin and Starfire would have been seated.

"Welcome to the show! How about we jump straight into the questions. Starfire, you are up first! Are you ready?"

He sat down in her seat and did a feeble imitation of her voice. "Oh yes, Mr. Logan, I am the ready!"

He stood back up. "Please, just call me Gar!. Here is your first question. Who does Robin find more attractive? A) Raven. B) Bumblebee. C) Argent. D) Kole. Or E) Kitten?"

He sat back down and began tapping his chin as if deep in thought.

"That is the difficult question, as all are attractive. I would first rule out Kitten since she is a villain. Then Kole, as her boyfriend is a caveman. Robin has told me that Argent is the 'weird', so I will also rule her out."

"So it's down to Bumblebee and Raven?"

"That is the correct. I think he would choose Raven, as they are the close friends. Was I correct?"

"Sorry, Starfire, that was a trick question. Robin's first choice was Mother Mae Eye."

Raven snickered as she walked onto the set. "So I lost out to Mother Mae Eye? … Hey, look … the camera is on."

The camera had been on for a few minutes, as its shining red light indicated. Both Titans approached it.

"I wonder if Control Freak was watching." Raven droned.

Before Beast Boy could reply a bright flash came out of the camera lens and they vanished.

Robin and Starfire entered the station's prop room, which looked more like a small warehouse full of shelves of boxes and racks full of garments and costumes. Robin kicked a pile of boxes, which came crashing down in a loud and calamitous manner.

"He should have heard that. Now all we have to do is wait."

They poked around the room while waiting. To Robin's disappointment, there was no sign of Control Freak.

"Maybe we need to make more noise."

Starfire had wandered off and Robin hadn't noticed. He studied the room's configuration, trying to create a strategy for capturing Control Freak when he finally showed up. He walked down an aisle between two shelves and as he reached the end a red and black clad figure leaped in front of him. It was a woman and she swung a large mallet at him, which he skillfully dodged with a backward flip. He drew two bird-a-rangs.

"Harley Quinn! What are you doing here? And what have you done with Starfire!?"

Harley began to laugh and dropped her mallet. She then pulled off a rubber mask and Robin scowled when he saw it was only Starfire, who continued to laugh.

"Star! What were you thinking? I could have hurt you!"

She removed the costume as she continued to laugh. "Oh Richard, you worry too much. Your bird-a-rangs cannot injure me."

"It's not funny, Star. We're here to catch Control Freak, not play dress up."

Her laughter slowly trailed off. "You are the correct. Please forgive me, boyfriend Robin." She said between a few snickers. "It is just that I was feeling the bored and restless while waiting, but I will now be the serious. I will now put the costume away."

She walked away and he watched as she placed the costume on a hanger and restored it onto the rack. Suddenly something caught her eye.

"Robin, look, there is a replica of one of Control Freak's clickers."

She pointed at a nearby shelf. Robin was a bit far away and he saw it too. He frowned. Starfire then reached for the prop and suddenly Robin's expression changed to one of alarm. He lunged at her.

"Starfire! Don't …"

As soon as he reached her she picked up the clicker. There was a bright flash and they were gone.

Cyborg walked down a long hallway until he reached an unmarked door. A sensor in his arm indicated that the transmitter was behind the door. He reached for the door knob and found that it was locked. It was an industrial strength door, one that could resist a crowbar and not be pried open. Cyborg smiled and punched a hole in the door. He then reached in and unlocked the door from the inside. After opening it he pulled it off its hinges and tossed it aside.

"Send me the bill." He chuckled as he entered the room.

It was a large room. The transmitter was at the far end, the large vacuum tubes that powered it hummed contently. There were several flat panel TVs, which all showed either static or test patterns. He walked over to the transmitter and was about to pull the plug on it when he noticed some non-standard gear on one of the racks nearby.

"What the heck is that?"

As he approached the rogue rack, one of the TV's came to life. He did a double take when he saw Beast Boy goofing off, pretending to be a game show host. He watched intently and laughed when he said that Robin's first choice was Mother Mae Eye. Then Raven appeared on the camera and talked with the changeling. Then there was a flash and they were gone.

Cyborg gasped then quickly turned to the rack with the strange gear. Before he could get to it there was a flash and he too vanished.
