Light was shining.

Light was actually shining. In the dark and gloomy palace that Aichi was to rest in forever.

Kai watched with astonished green hues as a monotone scream resonated in the palace, a beacon of light forming and leaving the body of the owner of the scream, the bluenet clutching his chest, tears of pain and joy released from his painfully narrowed eyes as the Reverse left him, the swirling red darkness crawling up the pole of light and expanding, like a red galaxy.

It was both breath taking and horrifying.

Takuto was standing in front of the screaming bluenet, a hand outstretched, his clear golden eyes almost perfectly mirroring Aichi's anguished expression.

Kai was hypervenilating. This was actually happening! He could actually make contact with Aichi once more, and the brunet swore to himself he was going to spoil Aichi with all the love he had, emotions already pouring out of his chest like a never ending waterfall. A smile of pure joy that he would've kept hidden for years erupted on his face, making absolute no move to hide it, tears of joy brimming in his eyes. He felt like he wanted to leap up and start dancing and laughing, and he would have if not for his legs being planted in place.

The last of the screams died away, hollow echoes followed by a resounding thud as Aichi collapsed, panting, eyes wide and shining with both experience and happiness, knowing that he was finally free from his lonely prison.

Kai let out his voice he was keeping in for moments, which always felt far too long, repeating Aichi's name over and over again, running towards him, arms outstretched. He had waited far too long for this moment.

Aichi was doing the same, getting up hastily and sprinting to Kai, both of their overjoyed voices resonating and becoming one, beautiful song of pure happiness.

Footsteps thudded on the pristine floor, followed by two yelps as the two crashed into each other, falling on the ground. But neither of them cared. They were too overjoyous, both of them spluttering out incomprehensible words and flailing their arms, both of their faces red from over excitement, embracing each other so tightly they could barely breathe, tears of joy flooding out of their lids. They couldn't hold it in anymore.

Their heartbeats harmonized into one as their lips connected, both of them eagerly absorbing the other, the undescribable feelings pooling into each other, threads of saliva forming and breaking as they broke apart and kissed again, over and over again.

Their unparalleled paths had intersected.

They stopped to clamp their hands together, squeezing each other's hand until they became white, neither one of them wishing to let the other go, the biggest smiles they've ever had on their faces, heads spinning. Aichi let out a laugh, and was that laugh always so beautiful?

They touched their foreheads, noses brushing affectionately against each other, overjoyous eyes staring into each other.

They were now truly home.
