And here we are: the last epilogue and the finale of Scattered Hearts. I'm sure you guys can figure out whose perspective this is, if you're savvy to the story.

That being said, I would like to give my thanks to everyone for their love and their patience as I wrote this really long story. To those who have been leaving favorites and have been following this story, I hope you enjoyed reading this, and I look forward to your deeper love for the series. To those of you who have been reviewing me - Antex-The Legendary Zoroark, Spirit of Writing, DarkKitsuneFluffy, Tsukino101, Oracion de las Estrellas, veronicatoon.7 (I thought your review of Chapter 46 was hilarious), and several guest reviewers who've been kind to leave me nice comments and curiosities as to where I was planning to go with my stories - thank you SO MUCH for your wonderful reviews. It means a whole lot that you guys have enjoyed my series thus far, and I hope you'll love the other stuff I have to offer you.

Now that that's out of the way, I will announce to you that the next Kingdom Hearts story is going to be called Tainted Hearts, following the KH1 storyline. I'll be posting the first two chapters in about a week or two, so keep an eye out for it whenever you can. Until then, I have other fanfics you can take a look into.

If you'd like to know what I'm talking about, I have a KH Vampire AU called The Heart of the Night up and running for those of you who like vampire stories. If you're a fan of the Final Fantasy series, I have Final Fantasy 2 on my list if you're interested. Or, if you're a Disney fan and you love the Tron movies, I have Tron on my list if you're at all interested. The only thing I request is that you don't give me any flames for what I'm doing; however, constructive reviews are most appreciative.

That being said, I hope you've enjoyed all the chapters!

I own nothing of Kingdom Hearts except my OCs.

Read, leave a review, but no flames.

Epilogue 3: Fallen From Grace

What happened?

How did I get here, in this dark, dismal realm?

That was the question he had asked himself ever since he woke up in this gloomy world filled with darkness surrounding him. He tried to recall what happened that landed him here in the first place, but try as he might, he couldn't remember too well the events that caused him to end up there. But he had that feeling that the answer is still there…if he could just force his mind to think it over.

Wait…now I remember: Xehanort.

He did this. He sent me here. How did he do it?

The first thing he could recall was how he was attempting to take action to protect someone, but then he saw Xehanort. He had made himself clear that he wanted his own master out of the way; what's worse was that he had indications of plans for someone…but whom? He thought over it again until he remembered that he had a child under his watch before everything fell apart. What was her name…? Her name…He remembered. It was Luna.

Oh, the poor, fragile, little girl Luna. He couldn't help but feel regret fill rapidly into his heart. He promised her that he would do everything in his power to help her, that he would make sure she is kept safe out of Xehanort's reach…out of the reach of anyone who would hurt her. He could remember the last things he said to her…

"I'm going to get the professor, and have her come and get you as quickly as she can."

"I promise it won't take long, but you must remain here until help arrives…you understand?"

He couldn't help but feel regret that he had failed in protecting one child from the evil that was among the people all along. If he had been more decisive and more attentive, he would've had her escape the place and live quietly elsewhere. He should've just given her to Mickey at the first sign of the danger spiraling out of control.

Now he doesn't know where she is, and whether or not she's safe, out of harm's way. Has anyone found her and rescued her? Has Xehanort taken her, as he implied he was going to do?

Xehanort.

Xehanort, how could you do this to me?

How could you ruin so many innocent lives, and destroy the lives of those you swayed to your side?

Slowly, a seething anger began to burn within him alongside the grief and regret he held tightly to. Xehanort caused his home kingdom to fall into the hands of the forces of darkness, and his audacious actions have dragged his apprentices into the shadows with him.

Just the thought of his own apprentices made his blood boil. How could they allow their minds and hearts to be influenced by one man, and succumb to their dark desires for knowledge just like that? Why did they betray him the way they did? Didn't he warn them not to dabble so deeply in their research? Didn't he warn them of their costing the lives of innocents?

It became clear that none of them listened, and therefore have suffered the consequences. But he had high doubts that these harsh consequences have sank into their minds.

Dilan…Aeleus…Even…Ienzo…how could you all allow the darkness to consume you?

What have you become after all this?

For the moment, there was no way he could determine the answer to that question; at least, not right now.

But if there is one thing he is certain about, it's the fact that he has to find a way out of this empty prison. He will not sit idly while those he once trusted are out there, causing grievous damage to the worlds and ruining countless lives. He will not allow his former apprentices to get away with their crimes without paying the price. One way or another, he will find a way to get out of this place and make plans to strike back.

They will not get away with this…not under my watch.

When he does escape from the darkness, he will find a way to ruin their plans, whatever they may be. He will find out their intentions and, when he does, he will do anything and everything in his power to sabotage it. For the moment, he doesn't know what he could use to achieve this, but he felt certain that he'll find something that can help him with his own mission.

If my own apprentice stole my identity, then I will no longer act on that name. I will become something else entirely.

With his fury burning deeply, he began to journey through the darkness until he can find his own way to escape the dismal abyss. He knows what he wants to do, and he will do whatever it takes to get it.

Now only one thing is on his mind.

There is only one goal he has on the forefront of his plans.

He knows what he wants.

His goal is…

…Revenge.
