Prologue — The Past and The Present

A girl peeked through a handheld telescope, scoping the surrounding area in a bored manner. Once she saw a silhouette of something behind the clouds, her dull state had changed, making her crack a large smile in excitement. She turned around towards the rest of the ship and cuffed her hands around her mouth to amplify her voice.

"Ahoy Captain! We're almost near land!" she announced loudly.

A door opened from one of the trapdoors on the deck, and a man with black hair emerged from it.

"That's good, Sapphire," the captain replied, his red crimson eyes shining in the sun as he looked towards the path of goldeens. "Where's the others?"

"They're already in the kitchen eatin' breakfast. Yellow and I are watchin' the ship while they do that," Sapphire informed, her accent appearing more visibly in her words.

He raised an eyebrow, questioning her statement. "I don't see her on the front deck. Where is she?"

Sapphire gestured towards the back of the ship. From the view behind the shack, the two could spot a blonde, petite girl watching the waves. Since she couldn't hear Sapphire's announcement, it was quite obvious to the captain that she was daydreaming yet again.

The captain grinned. "Sapphire, go ahead and eat. I'll watch the ship with Yellow."

Sapphire nodded her head eagerly, enthusiastic about eating. "Thanks Red!"

The bandanna girl gave a brief high five to her captain and handed him the handheld telescope then proceeded to walk to the kitchen which was a small shack in the middle of the deck. Once she left, Red began to walk at the back of the ship quietly to not disturb the blonde girl. When he was behind her, he leaned closer and whispered in her ear.

"You're enjoying the view?"

At the feeling of his breath whispering in her ear suddenly, she tensed up in surprise. Quickly, the girl turned around and backed away out of habit.

"Captain!" She spluttered out, blushing in embarrassment. Red rubbed his neck, smiling sheepishly.

"Sorry Yellow, I couldn't help it. It's funny to do it while you're daydreaming," Red admitted. Yellow smiled her usually soft smile, and her golden eyes lit up.

"I seriously need to learn how to be aware more so that I can be as good as you guys," Yellow stated, comparing herself to the rest of the crew.

"That's not true. You're as strong as the rest of us," Red insisted.

He actually wasn't lying to save her feelings or anything. Yellow was the doctor of the ship, but since she was an official member of the crew and a pirate, they were going to encounter many battles so Green trained her in combat. Even though she's trained, she still doesn't like violence, so she never fights unless her life was in danger. Her combat skills were limited, but her medical skills were the main reason why she's there.

Yellow's mouth curved into a smile at the lighthearted cheering. "So where's Sapphire?" she inquired, changing the subject.

"She's eating breakfast with the others. You wanna go too?" Red asked. "I don't mind taking over both watch out posts until we land."

At that, Yellow shook her head and denied his offer. "I'm fine. I like looking at the various Pokémon because it's relaxing, so I'll stay out here."

"Me too!" Red replied, gazing at the water Pokemon along with her.

Unknown to them, people were watching in the back doorway of the kitchen, observing the two from behind.

SNAP!

Their attention was shortly adverted over, finally realizing the gazes they had towards them. At the front of the doorway, a girl with long brown hair held a camera in her hand and a photo in her fingers. She held the photo in between her middle and index finger, twirling it around.

"Blue!" Yellow cried out upon seeing the girl.

"I knew you guys were the best couple~!" Blue exclaimed happily, grinning from ear to ear.

A boy with black hair peeked behind her, smirking. He pumped fist against his chest and lifted his head proudly in an arrogant manner.

"I trained him to be the best lady's man; that's why he's with Cuz."

The blue haired pigtail girl beside him rolled her eyes.

"Then why doesn't he act like a jerk like you?" she deadpanned.

"I'm not a jerk, Super Serious Ga—" He didn't finish what he was saying because she punched him in the arm suddenly.

"Don't call me that." She glared at the teen with goggles. "My name is Crystal. C-R-Y-S-T-A-L." She could never get used to that nickname even though he's been calling her that for the past six months.

Gold rubbed his arm to ease the 'wound'. "Geez. If you were Soul, then my face would've been shattered..." he muttered, rubbing it softer.

"Hey!" A girl with an identical face to the blue haired girl came from behind them.

She folded her arms in a defensive manner. "I am not that aggressive."

"Yeah, but you and Se— Crys are like a scary duo. Your fists and her feet could make a muscle man cry, you know that?" he stated.

Soul puffed out her cheeks. "I'm adorable and lovable though!" she pouted.

"That's nice coming from a pirate," A red-head said sarcastically, joining the conversation.

"Just because I'm a pirate doesn't mean I'm scary," Soul stated. The red-head rolled his eyes and continued talking.

Two brunets were watching from afar, watching the younger ones argue.

"Isn't this cute, Greenie?" Blue asked, bumping the boy's arm and gesturing towards the arguing crowd.

Her blue eyes stared at him, waiting for an answer.

"If arguing annoying and loudly is cute for you, then I guess," Green answered in a monotone voice.

"You're such a party pooper," She puffed her cheeks out and pouted, "Why can't you be like the younger pirates?"

"Do you mean us?"

Blue turned her attention from Green to the dark blue haired girl in front of her. The girl didn't even looked like a dirty thieving pirate like the rest of them, but instead like a wealthy rich heiress.

"Oh hi, Platina!" Blue greeted.

"Hello," the girl greeted back properly, bowing out of politeness.

Behind her was the other two people who joined the crew quite recently. Compared to the rest of the crew, they were much younger and had a more outward appearance of a kid.

"So, are we there yet? We're running out of food..." Diamond whined, patting his stomach.

"That's because you ate it all Dia!" The blond haired one next to him scolded at the shorter boy, slapping his shoulder.

"Don't worry! We can easily filled the whole storage closet this time. After Team Rocket gave us their money, we'll have enough!" Blue assured.

"The money was in a safe and you took it, Thief," Green corrected.

"Hey, I'm a pirate! They're supposed to do that," Blue defended. "Oh! Speaking of younger ones, where's the other three?"

"Ruby and Sapphire are in the kitchen while Emerald is in the lower deck working on another invention as usual," Platina answered.

"That kid needs to make his legs longer. He's too short!" Gold said, popping up. Crystal came from behind him and hit him on the head, growing a bump.

"Don't talk about Emerald like that!" Crystal scolded, putting her hands on her hips.

"Stop hitting me!" Gold whined, rubbing yet another wound.

Blue giggled at the scene, finding it hilarious. "That's what you get, Gold! Ahahaha!"

Green looked over at the crowd of people on the deck. Red and Yellow were talking quietly while looking out to the sea; Diamond and Pearl were doing a comedy routine for Platina; Soul and Silver were arguing; Gold and Crystal were bickering; and Blue was off to the side, still laughing her ass off.

He closed his eyes, taking a relaxing deep breath with the sounds of mixing arguments and voices in his ears. It was just another happy day for everyone, enjoying life and freedom.

But of course, everyone knows that happiness will come to an end at one point.

The atmosphere engulfed the whole ship.

The whole crew gathered on top of the deck wearing black, melancholy present in their expressions despite the intense storm and waves raging against their ship. The captain stood at the front of the ship while the others were lined up beside each other, crying.

Red held out a green bouquet to the edge of the ship then threw them into the ocean.

"You were a great crewman and friend, and you will be dearly missed."

After he threw the flowers, Yellow's legs collapsed to the floor and her face became a mess of both the rain and tears. Blue bent down to comfort her, her own face also in a mess of tears.

"It's all my fault! I'm so sorry!" Yellow sobbed in Blue's arms.

"It's not your fault Yellow..." Blue tried wiped her own tears with her free hand while using the other to hug the blond haired girl. "Everyone's bound to die someday."

Red turned around to face everyone. They couldn't read his face anymore. Instead of the recent crying expression he had on moments ago, it changed to a different one— one that no one in the crew can read and one that they've never seen before.

"Everyone, I have an announcement to make."

The 'Keybladers' were the strongest group of pirates that have ever been made in the western regions. The notorious pirates consisted of a group of fourteen individuals with unique talents and abilities. They've been together all the time and travel many seas together, fighting many battles. But one day, they parted ways and disbanded, and no one knew why. It remained a mystery to the public that no one can solve... until three years later.

Chapter One — The Over-The-Region Broadcast

He stared at the top of the tower in Kanto, the one that was built in Pallet Town a year ago to capture electricity. His red hat covered his shiny black hair and crimson eyes, hiding his presence. Everyone was gathering around him as they had their attention to the commotion. Numerous sounds filled the area like police sirens and loud chatter.

He assumed it was a pirate, nothing new. He pushed through the crowd, exiting the area since he thought he didn't need to be involved. He was almost out of the crowd until he was stopped by a shout, catching his attention. He turned around to see an old women on the top of the tower with crobat with a camera strapped around, recording her.

The people around him quieted down immediately once her scream was heard. Her mouth curled into a smile once she did, making more wrinkles visible.

"Good. Look's like you young folks know something like manners," she spoke in an audible voice, quickly rising to shouting. "I am Agatha! I am a pirate—" He was right. It was a pirate. "—of the Elite Four in the Kanto Region. There are sets of four Elite Four Pirates in each western region, and we are going to be the pirates of the new world! If you are brave to challenge us, then go ahead. We will destroy our enemies. The new era is going to be ruled by us. And only us. The 'pirate' era will belong to us, and soon, the world."

She gave a cackled laugh before smirking at the camera.

"You all should live in fear of us. Soon, we might even come to your city. For now, enjoy the sight of this city!" she said.

The old lady then proceeded to grab onto the crobat's feet and they flew off, disappearing into the sky.

After she left, the whole town was filled with mixed impressions. Some were worried whether more troublesome pirates will actually do something, and others didn't care at all and thought it was unnecessary news and they did that whole show just to just brag. Red was the a part of the crowd who didn't care at all.

He snapped out of his thoughts when someone tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around to see one of the kids he babysat, Joey.

"Hey Red!" he greeted, waving the crimson eyed boy. "Guess what?!"

"What?" Red asked, following his lead.

"I've decided to become a pirate!" Joey announced, putting a fist over his chest in pride. He pointed at Red. "And I want you in my crew!"

Red faked a smile before answering him, "Sorry, but I'm not interested in pirate stuff."

Joey's excitement fell. "But we could be the best group ever!" he tried to persuade him. "Maybe even better than the 'Keyblade' crew! No one knows their faces or names or talks about them anymore!"

Red flinched at that name, but still kept his bright smile. "Sorry, but I have to go do some chores for my mom! See you later!"

Red entered the house, shutting the door gently after coming in. He dropped his body on the couch, laying lazily.

"Pirates... huh?"

He stared at the ceiling. On the ceiling was a wanted poster. It was a picture of himself three years ago. He looked very similar three years ago, the only difference now is that he wore his hat forward instead of backwards. He had a serious look in the picture, his face scratched up in blood in a fight, but still looked intimidating. Under the picture was the description of the wanted poster:

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE

THE BLOODY FIGHTER - RED AKAI

$360,000,000 POKEDOLLARS FOR REWARD

Red frowned when he looked at the other wanted poster on the ceiling, wondering why he put it up there in the first place.

BOOM!

The random vibration and sound made him jump in his position. He rose up from his couch quickly and ran outside, only to find people panicking and yelling about something. Joey ran up to him, spluttering and unable to say his words.

"R-Red!" Joey tried to explain what happened, but words still couldn't come out of his mouth. It didn't matter though since Red could see what the whole commotion was about and didn't need an explanation anymore. Red's eyes were focused on the flying object in the sky. They widened when he saw what it was doing.

BOOM!

It was dropping bombs.

Unknown to Red, others were watching the broadcast while some were lurking in the shadows, watching.
