A/N: Can you believe it's been four years since I updated this story? Neither can I! I had some major writer's block for this story which probably explains the lack of update. Anyway I'm really really sorry about that. I hope this chapter makes up for it. I think this story technically only has a few more chapters before it's over.

I suppose I should admit another reason I haven't updated much of anything is my lack of motivation to boot up my computer and take it to and from my two homes. Nobody asked for this personal update but I'm giving it anyway. I now work two jobs (job number one being on hold cuz of COVID-19) and have two homes. I haven't felt motivation to bring my laptop from Home #1 to Home #2 because it's a hassle. It's big, thick and heavy...however...I just got an early birthday present that kinda sent that excuse out the window. A MacBook Pro. It's not brand new but it works and it's small and way more portable than my old laptop.

I'm hoping that might mean more updates on stories. I think for my triumphant return to fanfiction, I'll stick with updating a few stories to finish up. As much as I have new projects I'd like to work on, I need to finish some other stuff first. This means Phineas and Ferb Star Wars 3, this story, maybe Dr. Doof's Sing a long blog and maybe PnF Meet Celebi and Uprising of Other Alt Doof will probably be getting updates more frequently.

As for a few other things I wanted to do-specifically rewrites of Finding Phineas, Phinny and Phineas and the Spirit of the Sky, those might be put on hold longer. Stories that are marked ON HIATUS will remain on hiatus until further notice.

So...that's all I have to say about that. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter (I am soooo sorry if anything seems plot holey. Gimme a break, it's been 4 years. I don't remember every detail of every story I write.)

I own NOTHING except the story.

Enjoy

The streets of Danville filled with chaos as the citizens ran around in panic. It didn't help that there were tremors from the merging of dimensions every five minutes. The panicked citizens gave Phineas and Isabella each the cover they needed to get through the city. Their plan was a little hard to do with only two people, but he didn't have a choice. He hadn't even accounted for Ferb getting captured too. Charlene-2 really was a little better at this game than he was. That thought alone was enough to scare him a bit. Would he fail after all? He shook his head, knowing he couldn't think like that right now. He could see the robots he'd built were invading, halting any traffic. He sighed in relief that he wasn't forced to build scanners into those things. Just the basic invasion sort of thing-mindless obedience, a threatening appearance and many of them. He didn't even technically build the robots. He built the machine that assembled them. He hoped Charlene-2 hadn't interfered with it and added extra effects. He was confident this was the worst of that particular machine. Its only command was to multiply the robots whose only command was conformity of the citizens.

"Come on, Isabella," he thought out loud, "we gotta defuse that bomb and stop the merging of the dimensions."

"I'm going as fast as I can, Phineas," Isabella called back, "it's a little hard to move around like this."

"I know," Phineas replied, "but we need this cover if we're going to get close enough. I hope the other usses are doing okay getting to the water plant"

"Phineas, how did you have time to come up with such a complicated plan?"

Phineas chuckled, "I mean I can build a rollercoaster with Ferb in one afternoon. Is it really a shock I can come up with a plan that quick?"

Isabella smiled, and she kept going. They still had some ground to cover before they got to D.E.I. which was most certainly where they were holding everyone hostage. The bomb was most likely set to a smaller timer than the merging machine itself. The crowds got even more thicker as pharmazombies joined the robots. Phineas stopped dead in his tracks, super glad at one of the inventions he built and grabbed quick.

"Isabella, hold still," he said, and he fired a laser at her, "there, your skin is rubber. I only have enough to keep us immune to their touch. Hopefully the other usses are at the water plant rigging it to rain on the dimen-"

He was cut off as there was another tremor in the ground, and he fell over nearly scraping himself. He wore a look of defeat and panic. There's no way that he and Isabella alone would be able to make it in time to beat both timers...not if they go together to beat one at a time... He sighed, and he looked at Isabella.

"Isabella, I want you to get to the nearest building across from Dr. D's. You should be in range from there. I...have to go alone."

"What?! Go where?!" Isabella objected.

Phineas looked down at the ground, and Isabella already knew the answer.

"It's me they want, Isabella. I gotta go so I can end this. I...don't know what I'll do once I get there, but I'll think of something. There just isn't enough time for us to beat both clocks if we stay together. Maybe if I go, they'll at least spare Ferb and the others," Phineas explained with a slight crack of his voice, "If...if I don't come back or-"

"Don't say that, Phineas," Isabella protested, "You will come back. You're the smartest kid in the world, and I know you'll think of something. I just...I just wish there was another way."

Phineas nodded, "I know. I do too...but maybe they've outsmarted me now. If...if I don't come back-"

Phineas was cut short by Isabella's lips touching his. Her arms wrapped around him tightly. He could feel her wet tears start to rub against his cheeks. He, too, felt tears of his own start to fall.

"Y-you will," Isabella sniffled, "but in case…"

"In case…" he replied, and he sighed, "We're running out of time. I believe in you, Isabella."

"I believe in you too, Phineas," Isabella said softly, "but be careful, okay?"

Phineas nodded, and the two rushed their separate ways.

Phineas-2 sprayed as many pharmazombies in his path as he could. Luckily it seemed that was the only challenge in getting to the water plant. Isabella-2 wasn't far behind him. She knew they had to be careful, or they'd run out of the only protection against these things they had.

"So, what are we gonna do when we get to the water plant?" Isabella-2 asked.

"Simple," Phineas-2 replied, "we overload it so all sprinklers, sinks and anything connected will burst, dowsing everyone infected. If there are any leftovers, we spray 'em."

Isabella-2 nodded, "Sounds like a simple plan. I hope the others are okay. I'm not sure I feel comfortable with other dimension Phineas' choice to purposefully get captured again."

"I trust him, Isabella," Phineas-2 replied, "Other dimension me isn't one to think things through halfway. We just gotta get this done then we can go aid him."

Isabella-2 had seen the message from Charlene-2, and she couldn't believe the dimensions were merging. The fact even a child could build a machine capable of such things. It was astounding to her. Dr. Baljeet may be able to explain such a phenomenon but build a machine and actually do it? That was another story. In the wrong hands, that kid was dangerous. Not to mention anyone that didn't know the whole story might fault him for creating the device.

However...there was one thing that she worried about. While the kid was smart enough to build machines like that...he was not a fighter.

"Right," she nodded, "first we free the citizens then we gather the Resistance and apprehend the Doofenshmirtzes once and for all."

Phineas ran as fast as he could to the purple building. Stealth wasn't an option. He felt a little sick in his stomach as he got closer, and he took out his cell phone. There was certainly one way he could get there quick.

"Go to...Ferb," he said, and he closed his eyes tightly.

When he opened them, he could see Ferb in front of him along with the other captives. He didn't even need to turn to know the second dimension Doofenshmirtzes were right behind him.

"Nice of you to join us again," Charlene-2 sneered.

A/N: so...yeah...I don't really have anything else to say except I know it's a long-shot...but I would really appreciate reviews just to see how I did with this new chapter for a story that was abandoned 4 years ago to the horrors of writer's block.

Thanks guys
