Ruby stretched groaned, and her hand pressed up against…something weird. And bumpy. And…wet? The girl yelped and opened her eyes, and found her hand pressed against the face of a very annoyed looking Weiss, with her forefinger in Weiss's mouth. Ruby giggled and pulled her hand away, rubbing the back of her head and looking a bit sheepish. "Sorry?"

Blake had a pillow over her head as she tried to continue sleeping as her roommate engaged in what she assumed was some kind of warfare. She tossed, turned, grumbled, and growled before sitting up with an irritated look on her face, ready to spit some fire.

Fwump.

Everyone in the room froze as a pillow smacked Blake square in the face. Ruby, the thrower of said pillow, pointed at Weiss and squeaked "She wasn't supposed to duck!"

Weiss pouted and looked up from her position crouched on the floor. "Excuse you? Ducking is perfectly acceptable in a pillow fight!"

"Both of you shut up!" Blake said as she stood up, a pillow in each hand and a sinister grin on her face. "You are both at fault. Which means you have to be punished!" she yelled out, and she jumped at both of them, spinning her pillows with a murderous fury.

Ruby squealed and ducked, and snatched a second pillow off her bed, swinging it with both hands so it smacked Blake in the bottom.

Weiss had snuck away and dragged the rest of the pillows off of the two beds, setting up in between the dresser and Blake's bed with a pillow fort, peering out with her eyes as she hid from the wrath of Blake, who had yelped and turned red at the pillow spank.

"Ruby Rose I will end you!" she screeched, charging at her with both pillows. Ruby squealed playfully and ran off, throwing her door open and running into across the hall through the thankfully open door of Yang, who was getting dressed. Ruby collided with her sister and giggled hysterically.

"Yang help! Blake is trying to kill me!" she squeaked, hiding behind her sister as she peered out.

"Whuh?" Yang said, blinking as she raised her arms up a bit. She was in her bra and panties and her hair was a bit frazzled as she looked around.

Blake darted into the room with murder in her eyes, and she looked around "Ruby Rose where the FU-uuughwha Yaaang…?" she said, blushing hard as she spotted Yang, dropping the pillows and covering her mouth.

There was a palpable tension in the room as Ruby tried to stifle giggles, Blake's eyes widened as her blush deepened, and Yang struck a pose, quite proudly showing off her assets.

"Igottagonowbye!" Blake squeaked, darting off and running down the hallway.

"Blaaake wait! You're still in your pajamas!" Yang called out, making to run after her, only to have Ruby grab onto her arm.

"And you're still in your underwear, moron!" Ruby giggled. "Get dressed. Then chase her."

Ruby walked back into her dorm, still giggling as she pushed her hair out of her head. Then she spotted two squinty eyes peeking at her through a pillow fort, and she collapsed onto the floor again in a fit of crazy giggles, causing Weiss to laugh as well.

The two girls crawled towards each other and met with a soft kiss on the lips, pressing their foreheads together as they giggled. "Well, that was…an event." Weiss said, stifling her giggles.

"Certainly was!" Ruby chirped, standing up and stretching. "Now, I'm hungry. Can we go get food?"

Weiss opened her mouth, and then a loud grumble filled the room. The white haired girl eeped and covered her stomach, her cheeks tinted pink. Ruby giggled.

"There's my answer. C'mon, get dressed!" she said with a laugh as she pulled Weiss off the floor. Weiss just nodded and marched into her own dorm, and Ruby shook her head in exasperation.

We've bathed together and done…stuff together and she's still shy about changing in front of me. She thought, giggling. She pulled on her usual outfit and ran a brush through her hair, sighing softly as she stretched. "Why am I so short? I want to be taller…" she grumbled, standing on her tiptoes. She also looked down and reached up to cup her chest sadly. "…howcome Yang got to be tall and get big boobs?" she growled to herself. "So not fair…"

"Well I like you short and flat, so you should stay that way!" Weiss giggled as she wrapped her arms around Ruby from behind.

"Eep! Weiss?! Where'd you-"

"I finished getting dressed silly. Now come on, let's go eat. I think those two dunderheads are still chasing each other across campus, so we can just leave them behind. Where do you want to go?"

"Hmmm…I dunno!" Ruby chirped, hooking Weiss's arm in hers as they started to walk. She hummed a soft tune as they did so, and Weiss recognized the tune and hummed along with her.

As they walked out the door, they were full out singing. "Come on, come on! Spin a little tighter! Come on, come on, and the world's a little brighter!"

They nearly collapsed in a fit of giggles, holding each other up as they got into the car. Ruby always hated this part, cus then she had to drive without holding Weiss's hand. Why hadn't self-driving cars been invented yet? She felt like she was being cheated somehow…

The two sang along with the radio all the way to the Goodwitch Café, and they were in tears with laughter as they got out of the car, stumbling over to their usual table and sitting down, wheezing as they caught their breath.

"Hey guys!" chirped a familiar voice. Jaune and Pyrrha approached the two of them, and sat down with them. "Mind if we sit?" Pyrrha asked after they sat down.

"Well, we can't exactly stop you." Ruby giggled, reaching over to hug Jaune. "Hi buddy!"

Weiss shook Pyrrhas hand and nodded at her with a soft smile. "Pyrrha."

Jaune didn't quite know what to do when Ruby hugged him, so he just awkwardly patted the top of her head and laughed. "Um, hey Rubes!"

They all straightened up and looked through the menu, with Pyrrha wincing here and there.

"You alright Pyr?" Jaune said, arching an eyebrow.

"Oh! I-I'm fine…just um…" she muttered, wincing again as she looked at Ruby, who was humming contentedly as she looked through her menu. Jaune looked a bit confused, then looked under the table, and was greeted by Ruby's foot nearly smacking him in the face

"R-rubes!" he yelped, banging his head on the table as he avoided her foot. "Owwww…." He whined, pulling his head out and rubbing it. Ruby froze and looked extremely guilty, and stopped kicking.

"OHmygods Jaune I'm sorry! Did I kick you? I didn't mean to! I didn't even notice I was doing it! I'm sorry!" she rambled, reaching over to rub Jaunes head. "Are you okay?"

Jaune smiled sheepishly and nodded. "I'm fine. Don't worry."

Pyrrha reached over to grasp Jaunes hand and Ruby continued to apologize until their orders were taken.

"I'm still really sorry!" Ruby called out one last time to Jaune as she got into her car, Weiss buckling herself into the passenger seat and stifling a laugh. She reached over to rub Ruby's thigh as her girlfriend sighed, driving back to the campus.

"He's fine, sweetie," she giggled. "Don't worry so much."

Ruby sighed again. "You're riiiight…" she mumbled, flicking the radio back on. She continued to sulk until Weiss started singing again, and then a smile slowly cracked on her face as she sang along.

Yang finally caught up to Blake, and they were currently sitting under a tree with Blake in Yang's lap, the blonde girls arms wrapped firmly around Blakes midriff.

"You didn't have to run you know," she giggled.

Blake blushed hard again and covered her face. "W-w-what was I supposed to do! You were in your underwear!"

"There's lots of things you could have done! Walked calmly back into your room, ignored it, ripped it off with your teeth…"

Blake's eyes widened at that last one, and she smacked her girlfriend on the backside of her head. "S-shush!"

Yang cracked up at that and hugged Blake tightly, softly pressing her lips against hers and closing her eyes.

Blake let out an "mmph", but quickly closed her eyes and returned the kiss, reaching up to stroke Yangs cheek. The blonde girl would gently slip her tongue into Blake's mouth, softly exploring as it flicked and teased against Blake's own tongue.

The girls continued like this for a moment until they broke off, a small, thin trail of saliva connecting their mouths, and a deep red blush on Blake's face. Yang's face only had a tinge of pink, but she laughed a bit as she reached up to rub the back of her head, averting her eyes.

Blake had a soft smile on her face as she caressed Yangs cheek, and she licked her lips quickly, giggling. "Um…Love you Yang," she murmured, hugging her tightly and nuzzling.

"….Love you too, Blake," Yang whispered happily, squeezing Blake tightly as she rocked from side to side.

The four girls then met up for lunch not long after that, with great tales of the day already being woven. Ruby laughed so hard her drink came out of her nose, much to Weiss's distaste. Yang however thought it was hysterical, and Blake had to admit it was the tiniest bit funny.

They were joined by their other four friends, Jaune, Pyrrha, Ren, and Nora as they all went to the mall for some afternoon shopping. Weiss and Ruby split up, for once, with Weiss oddly heading off with Jaune. Ruby stuck with Blake as Yang and Pyrrha went off to who knows where, and Nora dragged Ren into a shoe store.

Ruby glued herself to Blake's side and wrapped her arms around the older girl, humming softly as she walked with her.

"We haven't been alone together for a while," she murmured softly.

"No, we haven't. I miss it." Blake said with a smile, booping Ruby on the nose. Ruby wrinkled her nose and of course returned the boop, giggling.

"Boop!" she chirped.

The two walked in silence for a while before sitting on a bench, with Ruby opting to sit sidesaddle on Blake's lap. Blake found this arrangement perfectly acceptable as she wrapped her arms snugly around her friend.

"So why'd you get all blushy when you walked in on Yang?" Ruby said softly. "Haven't you guys…ya know…?"

Blake's face turned a deep red, but she sighed as she started to stroke Ruby's hair, answering the question fairly. "Well…the lights are always off. And we haven't really DONE a whole lot, just um…a lot of groping and kissing."

Ruby nodded and snuggled closer to Blake. "So you guys haven't like…erm…got off?"

Silence. Then Blake shook her head and pulled her bangs over her eyes. "Nope."

Ruby giggled and pushed Blake's hair out of her face. "That's nothing to be ashamed of, silly kitty."

Kitty? Blake blinked, and then she touched her headband. Right, Cat ears. She was extremely flustered at the moment, trying to keep her cool. "W-well…I guess, I'm not really ashamed of it…just…embarrassed about it."

Shrugging, Ruby squeezed Blake one more time before standing up and stretching. "Well…I mean, you guys gotta take stuff at your own pace. But you should talk to Yang, let her know how she can…make things more comfortable for you, I guess?" she said, rubbing the back of her head.

Blake nodded, thinking seriously now. She could talk to Yang, she thought. Shouldn't be too hard…right?

"So, our anniversary is coming up, and I wanted to get her a present, but like, not something dorky, but also not something like crazy expensive so I was thinking who was good to ask about that because I obviously can't ask her and I can't ask Nora and-"

Jaune had been rambling to Weiss as they walked along, and was cut off when Weiss put her hand in front of his face, rubbing her forehead and frowning.

"Shut up. I know why I'm here, and what we're doing. But I can't just pick a present for you, it has to be something you pick for her, otherwise it isn't special. I'm just here to offer advice." She said hotly, huffing as she crossed her arms.

Jaune pouted and kept walking. "You're more fun when Ruby is around…" he grumbled.

He narrowly avoided the following slap as the two kept looking for an adequate store. Weiss suggested a bookstore, but Jaune threw that idea out the window, citing books as "boring". A pair of shoes was also rejected, as was jewelry, one for being "dumb" and the other for being "expensive".

"Keep me here with you and your inane pattering any longer and I'm going to get expensive…" Weiss grumbled.

Jaune laughed at that. "You wouldn't charge me for this, would you?" he said jokingly. Then he saw the very serious look on Weiss's face. "…would you?" he asked. Weiss said nothing, and he gulped, moving on. "L-let's find her a present!"

A few hours later, Jaune had something in a bag and looked rather pleased with himself, whereas Weiss looked like she had been sucking on a lemon for ten minutes. The group met up again on the main floor, and Ruby quickly dove at Weiss, wrapping her arms around her.

Weiss visibly relaxed at that, although she quickly distanced herself from Jaune as Blake sidled up to Yang, whispering something in her ear, her face still slightly pink. Yang was laughing and chatting with Pyrrha, but at the whispering her expression turned serious, and she nodded. Then she put an arm around Blake and pulled her close.

The eight of them slowly filed out of the mall, all piling into their respective vehicles and headed back to campus. Weiss and Ruby were in the back of Yang's car, and Ruby had her head on Weiss's shoulder, her breathing soft and even as she drifted off into a nap.

"She's so cute…" Weiss murmured as she looked at Ruby. Then she blushed as she heard snickering from the front seat. "W-what?" she blustered.

"You're adorable." Blake teased.

Weiss fumed, but didn't say anything further. She knew when to put up a fight, but she also knew when it was pointless. So she instead contented herself with idly petting Ruby's hair as the girl slept on her.

Blake turned back to Yang and continued their conversation, although both of them stole glances back at Ruby. "She is pretty cute." Yang giggled, and Blake nodded in agreement.

The sun was going down, painting the sky with orange and pink as Blake slipped out of her dorm room and into Yang's, wearing a flimsy nightgown. Words weren't needed as Yang hit the light switch, grinning as Blake pushed her back onto the bed, closing the door before crawling on top of her girlfriend, their lips meeting in the darkness…

Ruby and Weiss were much more serene, with Ruby babbling idly as her head rested on Weiss's chest. The two were already in bed, blankets over them, and Ruby was telling Weiss some story with lots of sound effects and hand motions.

Weiss was stroking up and down Ruby's side with a huge smile on her face. The actual words Ruby was saying didn't really make it to Weiss's mind, as the girl was distracted simply by the melodic sound of Ruby babbling away, and the light on her face as she made various sounds.

"…and so that's what happened a week ago in Professor Ports class!" she finished triumphantly, grinning with a sparkle in her eyes. "Wasn't it crazy?" she said, looking eagerly at Weiss.

"Very." Weiss giggled, kissing Ruby on the nose before laying her head on the pillow and clicking the lamp off.

"Weiiiiisss….I don't wanna go to sleep ye-….eeeeeet…." Ruby said, yawning. She then closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around Weiss, laying her head back on her chest and listening to the reassuring thud-thud, thud-thud, thud-thud of her heartbeat.

"Today was a good day." Weiss whispered to Ruby, pushing a little hair out of her face.

Ruby would have nodded, but she was very comfortable, and didn't want to move. "Mmmhmmm….let's have good days forever…" she said softly as her breathing slowly became soft and even. She was exhausted from the long day.

Weiss continued to watch Ruby until the sun set completely, settling the room in almost total darkness. Then she closed her eyes and soon drifted off to sleep herself.

Across the four girls, one feeling was consistent.

They were content.

Authors Note

.Did you think this was dead?

HAH. NEVER. I might not write it AS much, but trust me, when the inspiration strikes me, another chapter you all shall get!

Although I do think I might write a Ladybug fluff soon…I'm thinking a band AU? Yeah cus that's original….then again, this wasn't fantastically original either, so I think I'll go for it!

So while AFCR is not OVER, I'd like you to consider this the "unofficial" ending. For all intents and purposes, I am no longer going to focus on AFCR or the storyline of it. It is taking a major backburner to other projects, HOWEVER, if the urge strikes me, I'll update.

So essentially, this is the "canon" ending as of now. I've had so much fun writing this, and I'll still update it every once in a while, but I want to put my energy into other things.

Like a Band AU Ladybug fluff! That's gonna be so much fun… 3

Anyway! This is Ashley, signing out on the (technically) last chapter of AFCR.

As always. Enjoy, review, eat cookies, and have a wonderful day.
