Author's note: This is my new one true love pairing. Nico and Will are forever, and sort of cannon, which makes me incredibly happy. (I cried when Will was so caring towards Nico. They were tears of joy, because I think Nico deserves to be so happy.) So, this is Nico's first day of rest...and he is not happy.

Hospital Stay

Nico was pretty sure that he was going insane.

It wasn't Tartarus, or guilt over Octavian even; it was all the boredom. Will had demanded that he be sentenced to the infirmary, and Nico was certain that the entire Apollo cabin was invested in keeping him there. That point was proven during his first escape attempt.

He had managed to extract himself from the ridiculous amount of blankets trapping him on the bed. (Twenty was excessive, in his opinion) He had stealthily crept towards the door, managing to avoid being seen by the other Apollo campers and patients. He reached the door and sprinted into the sunlight-

Only to crash into the son of Apollo known as Will Solace.

"Going somewhere, di Angelo?" Will said coolly, cocking an eyebrow. Nico wondered how the son of the sun god could look dark and scary. Because for some reason, Nico found Will's expression unnerving.

"I was going for a walk. Sunlight is good for relieving shadow-sickness, isn't it?" he said nonchalantly.

Will just pointed back to the infirmary.

"Will, I'm not going back just to sit there being coddled to death and dying of boredom."

Nico watched Will's face harden at his choice of words.

"I'm going to count to three. One."

"I have been to Tartarus and back, that number thing isn't going to scare me." Nico said confidently. Will offered a smirk in reply.

"Two." He said, an impish grin breaking out on his face.

"Thr-"

Nico was already back in his bed. But he wasn't scared of Will Solace. Not one bit.

It wasn't because he liked him, either.
