Dean laughs. "It was so good. It was a kamikaze movie and ninja movie rolled into one. They crashed planes into statues and there were so many awesome explosions! There were even shurikens thrown in it. It was probably the best movie I've seen in a long time. And I've never seen anything with that type of combination before."

Seamus nods. "It definitely sounds..." He needs to search to find the right word, not wanting to upset Dean when he was so excited. Finally, he settles with "Definitely unique."

Dean flicks his finger at Seamus. "Don't patronize me. I can tell it doesn't interest you."

Seamus twitches as if he's going to laugh, but he covers it up with a cough. "Sorry, but it seems like a mess. As if they tried to fit too many things into one movie. They should have stayed with one genre instead of combing a war genre and a ninja genre. That mash up just doesn't work."

"And you're an expert on movies all of the sudden?" Dean sardonically asks.

Seamus rolls his eyes. He shifts on his bed, trying to get comfortable for this inane conversation. When that doesn't work, he sits up and picks up his pillow. He strikes it, trying to make it fluffier, more pillowy. Is that even a word? Seamus doesn't think so, but he doesn't care that much either.

"I can't help what I like. I tend to go for the whole mystery genre, movies that you told me that you found boring."

Dean pouts. "So, we don't like the same kind of movies?"

"Nope." Seamus pops the 'p' and goes for the air of nonchalance.

"And you don't like art or Muggle sports like I do. I find your interest of Gobstones and music to be uninteresting. So, what's actually keeping us together?"

This seemingly inane conversation no longer seems totally inane but actually very serious. Seamus quickly sits up. "Are you actually serious?"

Dean nods, avoiding Seamus's eyes. "It just seems that nothing keeps us together. We're just so different."

Seamus gets up and moves to Dean's bed, thankful they're alone in the dorm room. This isn't a conversation he wants to have in front of an audience. "We're together because we want to be. Who cares if our interests are different? If anything, it makes the relationship more interesting. I think the relationship would be pretty boring if we were the same. Just because we don't have much in common doesn't mean I want to lose you."

Dean looks up and meets Seamus's eyes. "Wouldn't you be happier with someone you could watch movies with? Someone who you could talk to about Gobstones or the Weird Sisters?"

Seamus scrunches his forehead and then shakes his head. "No, because they wouldn't be you."

It is stated so simply, so certain, that Dean has no other choice but to agree. "Oh. Okay."

Seamus nods. "Okay." He kisses Dean's cheek and then goes back to his bed, sure that the crisis is averted.
