So here you go! I hope you like the chapter, I had fun writing it! Read and Review! Tell me what you think! Every bit helps! :D

All I wanted to do was go to the bathroom. Was that in any way at all too much to ask for? Instead I had run into the person I least wanted to see. Dash Baxter. I had gotten memories of him from my mom and my dad; and let me tell you, they weren't good ones. Most of them involved my dad being tortured by the tall blonde. When he shouted at me it caused me to jump higher than a normal human being would.
"HEY!" He growled out, looking down at me. I cowered a bit out of reflex. Normally I wouldn't be afraid of him, having ghost powers and all, but he was a figure in my mind to be afraid of, and I wasn't allowed to use my powers on humans either, even if Dash could hardly be called a human. Too heartless for that.
"I'm Sorry!" I said, quickly apologizing to the blonde who was more than two times my size, standing up. "I didn't meant to!" Rambling on I continued to apologize. "I-It was an accident!" He glared at me for another moment before a shadow covered us, causing me to look past him. A ghost I haven't seen before hovered just on the other side of the blonde's large body. "U-Um..." I said, trying to grab Dash's attention and see if he'd notice.
"What?" He asked, before furrowing his brows and turning his head. The ghost looked like it could have been someone straight from Walker's prison, very angry, deep red eyes, a sharp toothed smile and a sea green skin tone that scared me straight to my core. The next reaction Dash gave startled me, he paused a moment before scooping me off the ground and running down the hall screaming with me in his arms. At least he wasn't a COMPLETE jerk...
I watched over the blonde's shoulder as he ran, the ghost following us, although it seemed to be watching me specifically. Despite how big a meanie Dash could be, I'd rather him not get injured because of me. I had to wiggle free somehow without using my powers. As I began to struggle, Dash seemed to hold fast, keeping me in place.
"What the heck are you doing kid?!" He screeched as he ran. "I'm tryin' to help ya here!"
"It's playing with you!" I hissed out, one look at the ghost's smug smile told me that much. "If we go different ways we can get away faster!" I tried. If I could get away from Dash I would be able to go ghost and try to stop this thing.
"You're crazy kid! No way in hell!" He said, keeping a firm hold on my waist as he carried me. For the love of...oh no. The ghost's facial expression changed, and then it's body began to shift. Before it completely changed forms I noticed what looked like its true form, a young looking woman with silver-white hair and gray-red eyes. Her form morphed into a dark shadow being, glowing a deep red as she followed us, pieces of her shadow formed around us, causing Dash to stop moving, freezing in terror I assume. The tendrils of darkness wrapped their way around us and thrust us into the air before flying out of the school. And today had been such a good day too...
I tried to struggle my way out of the tendrils before a complete dark overwhelmed me, blocking out the jock's screaming. What I saw next scared me out of my mind.
I couldn't move, turn ghost or do anything at all. My heart thumped loudly in my chest, my hands and feet were bound and above me was someone I never wanted to see again.
"I see you're awake, my dear. Good." Vlad said in a sickeningly sweet tone, walking up to me with a scalpel in hand. I could hear a voice echoing in my mind, calling for me.
I screamed, calling out to the person who called out to me.
"DADDY!" I sobbed out. "DADDY HELP ME PLEASE!"

Danielle sure was taking a long time in the bathroom...
I looked over at Sam. "I'm going to see what's taking her, I'll be right back." I said as I stood up, removing my hand from hers reluctantly.
"Want me to come with you? You can't really waltz on into the girls bathroom..." She said, standing up next to me. I thought about it a moment. I didn't have my ghost powers for another few hours, so there was no way I could get into that room undetected. "Yeah, thanks Sam." I said, taking her hand back into mine. We looked over at Tucker and Valerie, who were working on advancing the Fenton thermos to something that only we could use with ease so no one accidentally let ghosts out. "We'll be right back, gonna go get Danielle."
"Alright Danny."
"See ya' later dude."
I waved at my two friends and we made our way out of the closet. Lunch wasn't over for another twenty minutes, plus both Sam and I had a free period right after lunch as well. We walked down the hallway to the bathroom that Sam had directed Danielle to, in which the girl promptly raced out of the room to get there. I waited outside the bathroom as Sam went into check to see if Danielle was there.
She wasn't.
"Where do you think she could have gone, Danny?" She asked, looking up at me.
"I'm not sure, unless she bumped into Mr. Lancer or something I see no reason as to why...you know we should really use our ghost detectors more often..." I said quietly. "We need to try and find her." I said urgently; pulling out my Fenton blaster, which I ever so conveniently carried in the waistband of my pants. I really needed to get some sort of holster for it. It tends to chafe real badly. "I'll start looking for Danielle over here, You go over there!" I said and started off towards...well, somewhere to start looking for my daughter. As I ran down the hallway I had a strange feeling, but it didn't bother me, I knew my ghost half, although locked away at the moment, had sensed a ghost nearby, I could just barely pinpoint it, letting me know I still had a few hours to go before I could access all of my powers. It was a step by step process when it came to the Plasmius Maximus, one power at a time, each time one unlocks I know right away. The ghost sense might not be useful in the sense of fighting, but sensing the ghost is better than not and getting hurt. Although I'll get hurt anyway...
I followed the direction I had pinpointed, only to see a large shadow being, obviously not Shadow, Johnny's Bad Luck buddy, grasping onto both Dash and Danielle, holding them high in the air, Dash was struggling, as was Danielle.
"DANIELLE!" I shouted at her, "Danielle hold on!" I called out to her.
That was when my baby girl let out the most soul crushing scream.
"DADDY!" She sobbed out, her arms and legs bound and her eyes covered by tendrils of shadow. "DADDY HELP ME PLEASE!"
That was it. I let out a loud growl and launched myself without any care for my personal being at all. "Get away from her!" I shouted at the new ghost, aiming my ecto-pistol at it and shooting like I've been doing this my entire life, which I have, just no one besides Sam and Tucker would ever know that little tid-bit.
Several of my shots hit on target, blasting off tendrils as they tried to come after me next. I ran as fast as I could, which was way faster than dash had ever seen me run before, causing him to let out a gasp, or the ghost squeezed him, either one could've been a proper answer.
Danielle's cries echoed through the yard, my heart clenching. What was she seeing? What was happening to my Daughter?! "DADDY PLEASE!" She sobbed out again. I snarled angrily.
"Let. Go. Of. My. DAUGHTER!" I screamed, tossing the smoking pistol to the side, it ran out of energy because it only had a short charge span, launching myself at the ghost, tackling it. I had pulled out my blade, something that Valerie and Tucker had made for me for my last birthday. Much like my mom's expandable staff with two sides, the blade was the same, only one side having a weapon. It was fairly reminiscent of a lord's Rapier with my symbol carved elegantly into the blade's hilt, although Tucker did that himself, without Val's knowledge. When I fight with it as a human it turns blue, and as a ghost, green.
The ghost was knocked back and it's grip on Dash had to have loosened because he fell to the ground with a familiar screeching yelp. I slashed away at the ghost, those fencing lessons that I took with Sam were paying off. Swiftly I jumped to my feet and faced off with the ghost, who was regaining their stance, watching me with shifting red eyes. Tendrils of darkness seemed to sharpen, Danielle was able to struggle, her arms almost free at this point.
"En garde!" I said, performing an advance, slowly moving forward to the ghost in front of me, Danielle should've realized at this point that whatever she was seeing was an illusion, if she was seeing anything at all. Quickly I moved into a lunge, the time pattern counting in my head as I attacked. One-two-three, one-two-three. I sliced off tendrils as I continued advancing, the creature seemingly unaffected by the missing parts. My goal was to get to Danielle, and I was almost there.
Danielle was almost right in front of me, I reached out and grabbed for her, slicing the tendrils away and pulling her close, she was sobbing like a small child into my chest. "Daddy..." She whimpered softly.
"I'm here princess. I'm here." I said soothingly, looking over at the main body of the ghost. It had lost it's shadow like form, looking like the ghost of a young woman now. Her white-silver hair floated around her even though there was no wind. "What do you want?!" I snarled out, keeping Danielle held against my chest.
A whispered voice came from her mouth, soft, and I somehow recognized the voice, like it was one of a close friend. She spoke in the tongue of ghosts, the Language of the Dead.
"You, my dear king, of all people should know what I want." She hissed ? What the heck was this crazy chick talking about? Even I didn't now, so I was glad that I wouldn't have to explain more than I had to with Dash. I already did, but it was better that he thought me as a weird creepy, wimpy nerd with a cloned daughter than some sort of king? I don't even know what this ghost was talking about, I would have to ask clockwork later. Currently the terrified jock was fending off some loose tendrils, which now that I could see, were illusions. "I am here to take away those you hold possession of, the things you were given are not something for you to have!" These items she spoke of, however, I do know. I carry them with me so nothing happens to them.
"You will not reach it. By seeking out this power you go against the Zone itself. Only one who has the right to bear it may find use in its power." I looked over to see Sam walking out towards us, hissing out her words at the ghost, who turned her attention to Sam. My girlfriend's eyes were glowing a shocking green, something that hadn't happened before or after I shared my powers with her. I had easily helped her learn to speak ghost, so I knew she was fluent like myself, but I never thought...
"And now that you have attacked my family you have had your chance." Sam snarled out, stalking forward. "You have brought my wrath upon you now." Her hand was glowing with energy, and I could now faintly sense her ghostly presence, which was unusual because she only has it in her ghost form after we've transformed? What was going on. "Mommy..." Danielle whimpered, looking up over at Sam, watching her stalk forward.
It was as if Sam, although was obviously herself, all of her mannerisms and attitude were the same so you know, was able to use her ghost powers on her own. Which turned out to be exactly correct because one minute Sam Manson was standing in front of me, and the next Sam Phantom stood tall. This was going to take a lot of explaining to do with Dash...I looked over at the jock, who just ever so conveniently was passed out on the ground. Lucky break for me I guess. Although I am going to have to face the music with him about Danielle and I at some point because he was definitely awake for that…
The ghost in front of Sam eyed her wearily. "Step away." She whispered lightly, obviously rattled by the fact that my girlfriend was stalking ever so menacingly closer to her. I might be powerless in the sense of being unable to use my ghost powers, but I still could fight, and I sure as hell wasn't going to let Sam fight this battle on her own. I looked Down at Danielle, "Dani, I need to go help mom okay?" I whispered softly. Danielle nodded and the a brave expression crossed her face. "I'll help too." She said determinedly. I nodded. I wasn't going to let her get hurt, but we could use all the help that we could get.
"Alright, transform and go over to mom, distract the ghost for me, I'll do the rest." Danielle nodded and then transformed, white rings crossing over her body and she flew over to Sam, who scowled, but looked over at me and I gave her a thumbs up. She nodded.
Sam and Danielle taunted the ghost as I made my way behind her, my blade glowing in my hands behind me as the ghost in front of me exchanged blows with Sam and Dani, who were doing a fantastic job, despite this being a new enemy to all of us. As I circled around I noticed something on the woman's back, a symbol of sorts, etched into her back. A menacing aura emitted from the tribal swirls and arches, giving me an idea. I turned my sword around and charged it, aiming it at the symbols. This was a technique that I found out that the sword had, even though Tuck didn't mean to build it in, it worked wonders though, I wasn't going to complain.
One well aimed shot later, the ghost let out a shriek and smoke rose from it's body as the symbols on her back dissipated, causing her to collapse to the ground, panting to catch her breath, her hair began to darken from the white-silver to a deep purple, the red that surrounded her pupils were now gone. She gasped for air as Sam and Danielle joined me at my side. "W-What?" She managed out in surprise as she stood up, watching as her skin tanned and the ends of her hair finally changed back to their normal color. The girl wore Gothic style clothing, Sam seemed to unknowingly give an approving nod. She wore a short, black pleated skirt and a black cropped tank-top with a white skull on it. the back of her head now had a black beanie adorning it with a cream colored flower attached to it. Chains hung on the side of her skirt, off of the belt that was there for flare, her knee high boots hugged her calves. I recognized her immediately.
"You okay?" I asked walking over to her. Sam watched me with a nervous glance as she stood...err...floated there anyway, with Danielle at her side. I waved off her worries with a smile. I knew that the girl in front of me was fine to converse with. She wasn't in her right mind before, under control by probably something that she tried to cast while at home.
"Um...I'm okay, I guess..." She asked as I helped her to her feet. "Why am I not in the Ghost Zone with my Mother...Lord Daniel?" She blinked and I smiled.
"Good to see you too, Hex." I said, letting go of her hand.
"Why am I here?" She asked, brushing off the front of her pants. Sam relaxed when I mentioned the woman's name. Hex was Pandora's true daughter, and although I considered the millennium old ghost as a second mother, I could never replace Hex and the love that Pandora had for her daughter.
"Were you trying to perform some new spell back home? Maybe it backfired?"
"I dunno, all I can remember is the sudden urge to come try and unearth the power here, which by the way you're doing a fantastic job of keeping hold of, and then nothing." I had been in charge of keeping the Crown of Fire and the Ring of Rage under lock and key, so that was the dark power that she had been talking about before. Only Sam, Tucker and I knew where it was, and I usually kept them close to me because I don't need my parents wandering into my room to find ancient ghost artifacts sitting in my sock drawer, I'm way smarter than that, geez.
"Interesting, maybe we'll come with you when you go back to your mother and we can see if anything went wrong, it's about time for me to head to ol' StopWatch's place for another lesson anyway. He said he needed to talk to me, so we could stop by there on the way to the Acropolis." I suggested. "But it's going to have to be after school, we're on lunch right now." I looked over at Sam, who was holding Danielle. "Sam, this is Hex, Pandora's daughter, I don't think you've net yet, but I think the both of you might get along."
Once Hex and Sam met eyes, Sam put Danielle on the ground and the girl walked over to me, floating up to sit on my shoulders. The two walked up to each other and uttered a greeting of which I could only imagine that a Gothic Grecian ghost and my Gothic girlfriend could have.
"A dark day to you, Hex." Sam said in a deadpanned tone, but there was a small, shadowed smile on her face.
"And a cloudy and dreary afternoon to you, Lady Sam, Lord Daniel has told me many things about you." She said, nodding her head and Sam returned the gesture. I had a feeling the two would hit it off. Hex was one of the Ghost Writer's, Jonathan's, most frequent visitors to the Library, she would check out all sorts of black magic type books. Hex's name was actually Menodora, her name meaning gift of the moon, however she chose the name Hex as an alias because of her love of the dark magic within the infinite realms. Only Pandora, myself and her father, Epimethius could call her by her true name without her getting angry, another reason why she and Sam were very similar.
"What are they doing?" Danielle asked, I looked up to see her big, baby blue eyes watching me with curiosity. She must've been confused as to why her mother and the new ghost were greeting each other in such strange ways.
"To be completely honest, Princess, I don't know." Suddenly something clicked. "Oy, Hex!" I called out, grabbing onto both hers and Sam's attention. "I have a question."
"Ask away Lord Daniel."
"Something slipped when you were talking to me in Ghost, earlier, I know you don't remember, but all the words that you said were from your memories and thoughts at the time, so why did you call me your King…?" I asked nervously, holding onto Danielle's ankles to keep her steady, and also for some sort of mental support.
I know that Hex probably wasn't going to tell me, because I already asked Clockwork about the hierarchy system in the ghost zone and how the ghost zone's politics worked, apparently there must be a king, the Observants were just the justice system, walker's prison was a plaything compared to what they had, although I would never trust them with Dan's thermos. Not in a million had told me that to defeat a king was to become one, so I asked him about it, but all he had given me was one of his damn coy smiles and told me "all in due time, Daniel." Jerk.
"Unfortunately, Lord Daniel, I am not allowed to talk about that…" She said softly, looking down a bit. "I should not have said anything about it in the first place, but I'm sure Lord Clockwork, your ghost Father, would explain far better than I." I frowned, called it, I thought to myself. "Alright, whatever, I'll ask him on Sunday." I looked over at Sam, who nodded. "I agree, I don't know if he'l say anything, but he'd better lest he want to find one, or both, of my flying combat boots connected to his all-knowing face." She grumbled out and Hex laughed, "I'm sure Lord Clockwork will talk to you about it when the time comes, Lord Daniel." She said with a smile. "I am going to go ahead and head home on my own, I'll be sure to have mother send a messenger when I get back to let you know that I have returned safely. Come and see us when you come into the Ghost Zone again!" She called out, then looked at Sam. "It was fantastically dark meeting you Sam, we'll meet again some other time." Danielle waved at Hex and she smiled at the girl. "Bye Menodora, be safe on your travels home."
"Later Hex, bring some of those spellbooks the next time you drop by, we can read them together." Sam said with a grin.
"I'll do that." And with those words said, she left, heading to my house to sneak in through the Portal I'm sure.
"Now what are we going to do about Dash?" I asked Sam as I looked over at the jock, who was out cold still. he had a small bruise forming on his arms, as he wasn't wearing is usual jacket at the moment, which was weird. "Well, first of all, I'm going to take him to the Nurse, it's better than getting Hypothermia by sleeping outside with a blanket of snow...err...for normal humans anyway. I could sleep outside in this weather for sure."
"I'm positive all of us could, Danny." Sam said, transforming back to human. "I've been practicing, which is how I found out I could do it on my own too."
"I was going to say. Great job." I said. Danielle jumped off of my shoulders and onto the ground, landing after flipping once in the air, transforming back as she did so. "I helped mom practice, She's just like us now!" Danielle chattered excitedly, raising her arms into the air. "Gotta visualize the powers! Right Dad?" I chuckled and nodded, ruffling our daughter's hair. "Yeah, that's exactly right."
I walked over to Dash and hauled him into my arms. "Just imagine how embarrassed Dash will be when he finds out that the school loser carried his ass all the way to the nurse's office after fighting a ghost off." I groaned after that, realizing what I had said. "Oh man...Dash is gonna tell everyone Sam, what are we going to do?!" I freaked out slightly, looking over at her. "We're not going to be able to swear Dash to secrecy! He'd never keep this kind of stuff a secret!" I groaned again, great.
I carried Dash to the Nurse's office and checked with the nurse, letting her know that Dash got caught up in a ghost attack outside in the back of the school, and I happened to help out. She gave me a sort of incredulous look, like she didn't believe that I helped, but when she saw that I was bruised as well she looked like she took back her last thought. Dash didn't wake up during that time, so I counted myself lucky because I didn't have to deal with him at the moment, but I'm sure that I'll be confronted about it tomorrow… I left the office and joined back up with Sam and Danielle. Sam greeted me with a kiss and we made our way to the closet to drop Danielle off and run to our next class.
