Summary: In desperation, with the threat of Dolores Umbridge hanging over his head, Dumbledore reaches out to find a new DADA Professor. What he gets is a survivor, a warrior and a rebel… who can't do magic. But maybe this Dark Slayer is exactly what Hogwarts needs.

"Alright, grab your wands and follow me." Faith said as she stood in the doorway to the Seventh Year NEWT Defence class. "Stop gawking and move!"

The Seventh Years stood, still in shock at their Professor, and slowly followed her out of the classroom. The reason the students were shocked due to the way Faith was… dressed. Perhaps outfitted was a better word. She was dressed in her trademark black leather almost skin-tight pants and black tank top with combat boots. Over the top she had a leather shoulder holster which, in addition to emphasising her bust, supported a two-handed Claymore sword on between her shoulder blades as well as a pair of pistols holstered against her ribs along with several spare magazines for each pistol. Secured in a rig she had a two foot long knife sheathed to her left thigh and on a series of stakes secured in horizontal loops on her right thigh. In her hands was a carbon fibre crossbow, with pump action reload mechanism.

Faith was striding in front of the assembled students, her determined stride worrying most of the students, except the three boys who were solely concentrating on watching the sway of her ass in those pants. Most of the students instantly recognised that they were heading for the front doors of the Castle. They quickly passed through the front doors and made their way to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. At the edge of the forest Faith turned to face the Seventh Years.

"Alright. Something has been hunting shit in the Forest." Faith announced. "My job is to find and kill it. Your job is to watch and not die. You are taking you Defence NEWTS this year, so you should know enough to keep yourself safe. If the worst comes to worst, cast shields and run for it. DO NOT WAIT FOR ME!"

The students nodded nervously, some gulping when Faith racked the pump action slide and a heavy crossbow quarrel was loaded from the internal magazine.

"'Fessor Lehane." Hagrid said as he approached, a massive crossbow in his hands and Fang by his side.

"How many times I got to tell you Big Guy. It's Faith." She replied with a grin. "You ready for this?"

"Yeah." The half Giant replied.

"Keep an eye on the kids, 'k?" Faith said and Hagrid nodded.

The group entered the Forest with Faith in the lead and Hagrid bringing up the rear. The students made a fair amount of noise while Hagrid, for all his bulk, was used to the Forest and moved silently. Faith on the other hand was like a Ghost, if Hagrid and the students could not see her plainly walking ahead of them they would not have believed she was even there.

Eventually Faith held up a clenched fist and Hagrid recognised this as a signal to stop, and held the Students back. From the trees ahead a large green Demon emerged and two large bone spikes emerged from its forearms.

"Shit. Polgaran." Faith said. "Keep them back, Big Guy."

Hagrid's only response was to fire his massive crossbow into the Demon. Faith drew the Claymore with her right arm, holding it steadily with one hand, and then the two foot long knife from her thigh sheath with her left, held in a reverse grip.

Hagrid and the Students watched in awe as Faith battled the Polgaran, using the knife to block the Demon's attacks and the Claymore to attack. The two were fairly evenly matched for the first few exchanges, until Faith managed a solid blow to one of the bone blades, snapping it clean in two. After that it was only a matter of seconds until Faith had decapitated the Demon.

Faith turned and walked back past the Students, Hagrid simply nodding that he would take care of the body as she passed, as she sheathed her weapons.

"Lesson for today." Faith said. "Skill and speed can beat strength. And never piss of a Slayer."

It was dinner, this time, and Faith was sitting at the Staff Table when the doors to the Great Hall opened unannounced. Unlike last time, with the Minister and the Pink Horror, there was no large group, instead there was only two individuals enter the hall. In an instant Faith was on her feet and hand hurdled the table and was moving at pace down the central aisle of the Hall. Most students were confused or interested but the Seventh Years who had been in the Forest went pale.

"Boytoy. D." Faith said, sweeping the two figures up in an enthusiastic hug. "What are you to doing here?"

"Well, who did you think they would send to deal with the morons in the ministry?" Dawn asked as the hug ended.

"Stuffy Brits." Faith said with a dismissive gesture.

"Well Giles sent us." Xander said, running a hand through his short hair before adjusting his eyepatch which the move knocked slightly askew. "Dawn I get, to explain the whole thing to the idiots in the Ministry, but why they sent me, I don't know."

"To intimidate them." Dawn said.

"Me?" Xander said, incredulous.

"You helped stop how many Apocalypses?" Dawn asked rhetorically. "Faced down Angelus, came up with the plan to defeat Adam, held the line at Kingman's Bluff and was such a threat to The First that you were targeted over Slayers. Not to mention braved the wilds of Africa to find the most remote Slayers."

"Well, when you put it like that." Xander said with an uncomfortable shrug.

"So, what happened?" Faith asked.

"Read them the Riot Act." Dawn said. "Couldn't revoke, as that's an all or nothing deal. Giles is thinking of sending in a Slayer team to keep an eye on them if they don't settle down. Or get Willow on to them."

"Big guns." Faith said with a whistle. "Can you guys stay for a bit? We've had a recent incursion."

"Incursion? Demon?" Xander asked.

"Polgaran." Faith replied. "I got the feeling it's just the start."

"I have to get back to Oxford in the next three days." Dawn said.

"I can hang around." Xander said. "I just delivered the latest batch of African Slayers before G-Man sent us into the Ministry, so my plate is clear."

"Come on, I'll introduce you to the Staff." Faith said, wrapping an arm around both Dawn and Xander.

She led them to the front of the hall, past the gawking students.

"From the middle and alternating, that's Prof D, Hello Kitty, The Hobbit, The Big Guy, Poison Ivy, The Myrddraal, Starchild and Math Girl." Faith announced, causing some snickering amongst the students. "This is Boytoy and Little D."

Dumbledore smiled politely at the two guests; McGonagall glared at Faith for the 'Hello Kitty' comment; Flitwick was not sure if he was being insulted or complemented by being called 'The Hobbit'. Hagrid just grinned, proud to be 'The Big Guy' to Faith; Sprout got that 'Poison Ivy' was supposed to refer to her but missed the comic book reference; Snape did not react to being called 'The Myrddraal', having decided to ignore everything coming out of Faith's mouth, but if he had understood the reference he might have been flattered. Sinistra blushed slightly at being called 'Starchild', as it was a pet name her mother used for her and one of the first things that had gotten her interested in Astronomy; Vector simply rolled her eyes at being called 'Math Girl'.

"Boytoy's gonna hang around for a while. Help me in my classes and shit." Faith announced, before the three former Sunnydale residents turned and walked away.
