George
George instinctively gripped the arm rests on either side of his seat as the engine of the plane revved. He realized he was breathing a bit quicker as the plane started to move and he tried to not make it obvious that he was absolutely terrified right now. This was literally scarier than facing the Death Eaters back at the Battle of Hogwarts.
Kagome placed her hand on his and sent him a reassuring smile. "It'll be okay. We aren't taking off yet, just getting in line on the runway. I know this is different for you."
Different was the understatement of the century. The airport was extremely busy. Busier than Gringotts and the Ministry on the start of the work week combined. And the lines. Lines to check in, lines to security, lines to get on the plane. If he had to queue up one more time he was going to go mental.
Despite having the funds to sit in a more spacious area of the airplane, Kagome had him purchase three tickets for the main cabin since that was what she was used to. Since they weren't sure how air travel would affect Fred, they bought the third ticket. Kagome sat in the middle, George occupied the window seat while his ghostly twin had the aisle seat. By the looks of things, she was gripping his brother's hand as hard as his own.
"You both need to relax," Kagome murmured. "It's going to be a long flight and you're going to need to get some rest."
George slowly loosened his grip on the armrest. She was absolutely right. This was going to be the longest part of their journey. They just had to get to Tokyo, get to her home, attach their fireplace to the Floo Network while visiting the family and then head off to Romania. A simple mission.
He felt the plane turn again but this time the engines sprang to life in a deafening clamor. They immediately picked up speed and George closed his eyes, swallowing hard as the front wheels left the earth.
