Eduard and Tino sat their seats at the world meeting, a useless speech made by an obnoxious America happening in the background.

"Can I be a Nordic?" Eduard whispered to Tino. He had always secretly wanted to be a Nordic because of their cool hair and easy to assemble furniture, but had never worked up the courage to propose the idea of becoming one of them.

...and now he knew why.

The normally cheerful Finn was glaring at Eduard like he killed his mum or something. "No," was his short answer, said flatly, emotionally void.

A mere half minute later, Tino's happy disposition was back. Needless to say, Eduard never brought the subject up again. It wasn't worth the worry that he'd be killed mysteriously in his sleep.

With disapppointment, he returned to his fellow Baltic nations. When asked why he was so depressed, he didn't answer. No one needed to know about his traitorous thoughts. They might not forgive him very easily.

With his dreams of being a Nordic nation broken, he wept.

Lithuania and Latvia listened to their brother's conversation. It was a bit ridiculous, really. If Estonia were to become a Nordic, he'd be back within days. Ah, it was only a matter of time before Eduard got over this and came crawling back...
