AN: Ok I was going to continue the story but I think maybe I will leave the ending the way it was with the last chapter. So I am writing an epilogue to follow as my last chapter. This will end the story and I might write a sequel after I finish my other stories. Please enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own FMA… sad for me lol

Epilogue

10 months later

Roy stood at the kitchen counter, pouring his coffee into the mug. He could hear loud giggles coming from the pair in the living room. Smiling, he placed the coffee pot back on the stove before picking up the mug and moving out to the living room. As he leaned on the counter, he watched as Trina held herself up using the couch and Eden sat by her with a hand behind her.

"You know, if she gets going we will never catch her," Roy stated with a chuckle.

"It'd be a nice trick for the party later," she replied, the smile not leaving her face. "If we can get her to walk on her own."

Roy shook his head before making his way over to the couch and taking a seat. He watched the pair as Eden worked to get Trina to stand on her own.

"Why are we having a party tonight, again?" He asked before taking a sip of his coffee.

"Because it's almost my birthday and I wanted to have a party," she replied with a nod. "I'm happy now and even though I never really celebrated before I want to start now."

Nodding, Roy didn't respond at first. When he opened his mouth to reply back the phone in the hall began to ring.

"I'll get it," he said as he sat the mug on the table next to him and stood to make his way into the hallway. "Mustang Residence."

"Roy! So glad that you picked up the phone," Al said in a chipper voice. "Just the person I wanted to speak to."

"What are you up to, Al?"

"Just making sure that you aren't going to get cold feet," he replied, chuckling.

"I've already talked to you about this," Roy stated as he leaned around to watch the two in the living room. "You're coming early aren't you? Eden expects Winry to help her set everything up while we keep the kids out of their hair."

"Don't change the subject but yes. We'll be there soon."

"Good. If I don't get off the phone she's going to come investigation and I'd rather not lie to her too much."

Al laughed before agreeing and hanging up.

Roy placed the phone back on the receiver and shook his head. As he walked back into the living room, he found Eden standing in the doorway with Trina held against her hip.

"Who was that?" She asked accusingly.

"A wrong number."

Her eyebrow rose as she shook her own head. "You're lying to me," she stated matter-of-factly with a nod, she turned toward Trina. "Your daddy is very bad."

"You're a bad influence on her," he replied, walking passed her and into the living room.

"Pretty sure that neither one of us is a good influence but don't change the subject," she said as she followed him. "Who was on the phone?"

"You'll know soon enough."

Eden sighed before shaking her head and stepping front of where he took his seat. She handed Trina to him before turning to go toward the stairs.

"I'm going to take a shower before Winry and Al get here," she said, standing at the bottom of the steps. "Make sure you stay out of trouble while I'm gone."

Roy nodded before he turned to Trina and sat her on the couch next to him. When he heard the shower start, he smiled and knelt on the floor in front of Trina. He tickled her tummy and watched as she laughed and wiggled to get away.

"It's about time that I do something about your mother, isn't it?" He asked the toddler as she only replied in weird baby noises. "I guess it's a good thing that you can't talk yet." Taking a deep breath, he gently took her hands in his fingers. "Don't tell your mom but tonight is very special. Your mom might cry but don't be mad, it's going to be a good thing."

It wasn't long before Eden finished her shower, Winry and Al showed up with the kids and the preparations were started. Al and Roy sat in the back of the living room with the kids. Ella was playing with Trina, happy to have another girl in the mix while Liam watched the two and attempted to take all of the toys. Winry and Eden worked in the kitchen to make the food and set out all of the decorations for the party. Despite it being a party for Eden, she wanted to be a part of the decoration and prep. She wanted everyone to have fun not just her and she had made the rule that no one was allowed to buy her any presents.

As the afternoon wore on, the guests had started to show. Jean and Riza arrived together; no one was really surprised by this. After the incident with Illun and the healing process, the two had taken a liking to each other. The other boys arrived in pairs while Gracia showed up with Elysia with the only present that was allowed, by Eden's standards, cake. The group all mingled around the house, each taking their turn to play with Trina and hold her.

Eden stood in the kitchen with a mug of tea in her hands with Gracia, Riza and Winry, completely unaware of what was going on in the room no too far from where they were.

"When you are planning on doing it?" Jean asked with a smile. "You've been skirting around the whole issue for the last few months at work."

"I've been rather occupied, Jean," Roy replied, sighing. "Most of our time is spent making sure that Trina doesn't kill herself and I am working a lot."

"That's only because you are lazy with your paperwork," Breda chimed in with a nod.

"I don't want to have to burn you in my own home, Breda," Roy stated, glaring at the man before turning back to Jean. "I'll do it. Don't worry about it."

"We have a right to worry," Al added from his spot on the couch next to Roy. "She's my sister first but she's also everyone's friend."

Roy nodded and leaned back. "I know. She's in good hands," he replied before standing and stretching. "Perhaps we should get the kids and head to the kitchen. I think it's about time for cake and the present, don't you?"

Al smiled brightly before nodding and moving to pick Liam up out of the playpen and usher Ella into the kitchen. Jean followed with Trina in his arms, the child was happy no matter who held her.

"Eden," Roy stated from the doorway. "It's time for cake and we want to embarrass you with a song."

"You guys really don't need to sing," she stated with a shake of her head.

"Nonsense," Winry chuckled as she took the mug from Eden's hands and placing it on the counter. "Now, take a seat and let us sing."

The others agreed and as they encircled the table, the best they could, they began to sing. Eden's face lit up bright red as she tried to keep her focus on the single candle on the cake in front of her. As the song ended, she stood a bit and hesitated before blowing out the candle.

"Did you make a wish," her brother asked, smiling.

"I can't tell you or else it won't come true," she replied, sticking her tongue out at him. "Shall we cut the cake then? You guys can go back to not embarrassing me."

"Not quite yet." Roy said from her left. He smiled as she turned to look at him, confusion on her face. "You still need to open your present first."

"Roy, I told you I didn't want anything."

"You did but I ignored that," he stated with a nod before reaching into his pocket and holding out a small box.

Eden stared at the box in his hand before glancing up at him, at the others and then back to him. Hesitantly, she reached up and took the box in her own.

"What's this?" She asked, staring at the closed box in her hands.

"Open it up and see."

Slowly, she pulled the lid off the box, her eyes widened when she saw what was inside. She looked up and found that he was now kneeling in front of her. Tears were already brimming her eyes as her hands began to shake.

"Eden, it's been a tough road for you but I hope that you are happy now," he started off as he took the box and removed the small silver ring from inside. "I promised you that I'd always be with you and I want nothing more than to keep that promise. You mean everything to me and I want us three to be a true family. I love you very much." With the ring in his right hand he took her hands in his other before taking a deep breath. "Will you marry me?"

Tears were now running down Eden's face and she nodded in response.

"Yes, I will. I love you, too!"

Years ago she didn't think this would happy. She never thought she'd had a child or have someone that wasn't her brother love her. Now, she had Trina and she was going to have a proper family.

After he slipped the ring onto her hand, she slid forward until she was kneeling in front of him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled in for a kiss while the others in the room cheered and clapped. The flashing of a camera meant that the moment was captured forever and faintly they could hear in the back of their minds Maes yelling 'FINALLY'.
