Pax Imperia
Once we ruled the galaxy,
Has contained all our enemies.
Defending the Pax Empire,
Throughout the countless centuries.
…
But then came galactic cataclysm,
Bringing sterilizing fire.
As if we'd wronged the universe,
And was showing wrathful ire.
…
Jupiter was lost to us,
Venus fell before too long.
Earth was bathed in human blood,
The empire was gone.
…
And thus we're left unto the stars,
Sailing in galactic void.
Sometimes fighting to survive,
While others we avoid.
…
And perhaps it is a well-earned fate,
To be punished for our rule.
Clutching the galaxy with iron,
In a manner surely cruel.
…
The final trumpet sounds its call,
We reap what has been sewn.
Seeds of our own destruction,
Left to wander stars alone.
