This is my first Big Hero 6 fanfiction and I hope it's okay. Sorry that it's a little short and if they seem out of character. Hope you like it!

Hiro shot awake, sweat and tears combining on his face.

He looked around his shared room before reality caught up with him.

It was just a dream.

Hiro fell back onto his bed, breathing a sigh of relief.

He had just had a dream where Tadashi was standing in the rain.

In the dream, Hiro had been standing in touching distance of Tadashi.

He had seen his older brother stuck by lightning and he was rooted to where he stood, unable to help as he called out Tadashi's name and as tears fell.

The dream had been so vivid, so real.

"Hey, bonehead." Hiro sat up and saw Tadashi coming up the stairs.

"Hey, Tadashi," Hiro said.

Tadashi looked at his little brother's pale and tear stained face, immediately becoming concerned.

"What's wrong, Hiro?" He walked over and sat on Hiro's bed.

Hiro instantly put on an unconvincing smile. "Nothing! I'm fine," he said quickly.

Tadashi raised an eyebrow. "You don't look fine."

Hiro reached up to wipe his tears away.

"Really, I'm fine." He wiped his eyes not noticing Tadashi scoot closer to him.

Hiro flinched when he saw his brother sitting cross-legged in front of him.

"Hiro, please talk to me. I've known you long enough to know something's bothering you."

Hiro avoided Tadashi's gaze and he felt more tears falling.

Tadashi was becoming more worried by the second.

Hiro wasn't one to get upset easily, but when he did it was big.

The elder Hamada cupped Hiro's chin.

Tadashi gently wiped the falling tears away.

Brown eyes searched brown eyes, one pair concerned and the other filled with fear.

"Hiro," Tadashi said looking in his brother's eyes,"Please tell me what's wrong."

Hiro felt more tears well up and lunged at Tadashi, hugging him tightly.

"I had a dream where you got struck by lightning and i-it scared me so bad! I don't want anything to happen to you, Tadashi!"

Hiro started sobbing into Tadashi's chest.

Tadashi quickly wrapped his arms around his little brother and held him tightly.

"Shh, it's alright, Hiro. It was just a dream. I'm not going anywhere."

He rocked his brother as he wondered why Hiro had such a dream.

"Hey," he said as he lifted Hiro's chin and looked in his eyes. "I'll always be here, alright? I'm not going anywhere Hiro."

Tadashi held Hiro close as he rocked him and stroked his hair. "Shh, it's okay," he whispered.

He continued whispering in his brother's ear and shushed him softly when he choked on tears.

Tadashi picked up one of Hiro's hands and rubbed circles on it.

As Hiro was falling asleep, Tadashi kissed his forehead gently.

"I'm not going anywhere, bonehead."
