Author's note: woooow, it's been more than a year since I last posted... I hate doing this to you, my loyal readers, but I am stuck in this writer's block and I have no idea how to get out of it... T_T

"Song on fire", from this chapter, belongs to Nickelback. I really don't understand why they are so hated, theirs songs have wonderful messages and I truly love them. Reading "Acheron", by Sherrilyn Kenyon, I realized "Savin' Me" really suits him... If you want some good quality read, go check "Dark Hunters". "Amazing" doesn't even cut it.

As for news from my life, I'm continuing my studies, got my Bachelor's degree, onto my Master's degree. Baby girl is 6 months old and gorgeous! Big brother is more than wonderful, he loves the baby so much I have to fight to spend some time with her lol. He is so helpful and so happy to have her, it's mind blowing. I was expecting him to be jealous over the fact that I would spend more time with the baby than with him, but he doesn't mind it, when I have to stay with the baby he tags along and plays with his toys where we are. Sure, he's a healthy 7 year old boy, so there are occasional stubbornness related fights, but I really don't complain. I was much worse at his age. Way waaay much worse. Tomboy and stuff.

Onto reviews! The delight of these fics (for me, anyway!)

yamiyugi101 , katiekat2001 , Guest, darkchannel30 , kmmcm , BlackHeart-FallenAngel , Whispurr10 , Guest , aggroniast , selotcan , xxrisxx , Guest , Dragonfly , Guest , thank you for the congrats, reading, reviewing and keeping up with my block!

SpudyPotato , thanks for the congrats! I am still writing, very slowly, but I am continuing. I wanna finish them so badly, I have the end scenes already written, but the in-between is hard to get...

JadeOccelot , anything can happen in a blink of an eye, not just a year.

HammyJessa , it's true, parents are winging it, since a kid doesn't come with an instruction manual. what most things apply to most kids doesn't necessarily have to work on your own, as I noticed many times. so, as parents, we do what we must and come up with crazy plans for our kids. it's a 50-50 shot, but, hey, it's a chance it might work hehe. Thank you!

Bruce Cloud , I will introduce more characters from Fairy Tail, but I'm not sure how many. They are a lot... Thank you!

Sketcher , thank you! I wish the same to you! (aka it's more than perfect 3) And, well, since Gajeel is kinda like a father figure... perfect person to keep the stupid stuff hidden from his mom.

Wingedauthoress , always glad to see new and old names here! A mere 'thank you' is not enough for your kind words...

Levsa , I'm dying for it to be finished, as well... Damn writer's block... Thank you for keeping up with me...

Syfenos U , ooo, continental neighbors! Thank you! I do hope my block will end soon... I'm sick of it...

Blacksteel-Gajeel23 , I have no idea, but I hope it won't take as long... Thank you so much for keeping up with me!

Clarissa George 303 , I figured Juvia speaking in honorific in Fairy Tail must be from some sort of trauma, which I took out in this fic. And Gajeel is patient in the manga, too. He has waited for Levy's forgiveness for a long time. I'm not really sure exactly when they got together, but, considering the trouble twins that came from the future, they ARE a thing. And it's really difficult to update these days, I've been stuck in a horrible writer's block for a long time now... I would love to update more often ...

All in all, thank you for all the patience and love and reviews and reading my fics... And everything! By the way, I'd love to see a review/comment in your native language! (Of course, please consider the writer, as well, since I only know 4 languages: Romanian, English, Spanish and Japanese, so add a translation, as well, if you guys happen to not be a speaker of those 4 languages)

Thank you for the infinite patience, my Misty~es! Lots of love from yours truly, MistyQue!

Summer came soon after Romeo's accident, but he had to bed rest. After his concussion healed some and the wooziness disappeared, the boy started complaining. And he started moving around the house, because, frankly, he was sore from all the laying in bed. Levy decided to buy him crutches so he could move easily while she was at work (her boss refused to give her medical leave, even though she insisted to be cut from the payroll while her son was home with a broken leg). Gajeel managed to talk to Makarov and let him work part time at the office, so the red eyed man once again insisted on helping his favorite bluenette. She merely stared torn when he told her he would take care of Romeo while she was at work. Again, she felt indebted to him, but she was stuck in a very bad situation. She couldn't leave her work because she lacked experience and had to leave school because of her husband at the time. She was certain no one would hire a single mother with no high school and no working experience. She was silent for such a long time, Gajeel started to panic.

"Uh... Lev?" He placed a gentle hand on her shoulder to bring her back from her thoughts. He could see the torment in her eyes when she finally looked at him. Gajeel could see the short woman was struggling to keep the tears at bay. Levy gave him a shaky smile that made his insides flip and shook his will so bad he felt himself pulled to the short bluenette, so he kept his hand on her shoulder, leaning closer to Levy's face. As soon as the bluenette read his intentions, she looked down and leaned her forehead on his expecting lips.

"Sorry..." Gajeel exhaled heavily, trying to calm his sprinting heart. "I don't know what came over me." He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and pulled her close, inhaling in her hair. "Sorry." He pulled away before he made another blunder, rubbing a hand over his face. "I'm usually in control of my emotions... This doesn't mean I'm expecting anything for helping you with Romeo. As usual. I'll just go now before I make a bigger fool out of myself..." Gajeel turned on his heels and practically ran from the house, leaving a dumbstruck Levy in the doorway. Once the door was closed and her mind started working again, Levy smiled warmly and walked to Romeo's room to check her son.

Gajeel's insides quivered, both from the almost kiss and from embarrassment. He closed the door to his house with a loud snap, startling Wendy from her homework.

"How's Romeo?" The girl asked after seeing who came in. Gajeel snorted.

"Grumpy. Especially since he heard we're going to mom's place this weekend."

"Can't he come? What did Levy say?" Gajeel's insides started fluttering again hearing her name.

"Uh... She's still deciding. But she promised she'd give me an answer by tomorrow evening." Gajeel quickly went to the bar and grabbed a glass and the bottle of whiskey. He looked at the little girl with a bit of guilt, but he needed a drink to calm his heart down. Heck, he was sure he'd go back to Levy's and act out on his desire. Gajeel poured some golden liquid as Wendy continued her homework, then downed the whole glass and put it back.

"Need some help?" He asked, feeling the need for a distraction.

"No, but you can print me some coloring pages, I wanna make Romeo a 'Get well soon' card."

With that settled, Gajeel went to the computer, grateful for a few minutes of using his brain for something other than his favorite bluenette.

The next day, Gajeel took Wendy to visit Romeo after school and give him his homework and the precious 'Get well soon' card. The boy blushed hotly, even though he dismissed the card as 'childish', Wendy reminding him they were still 8 years old, thus making them children. Levy smiled warmly at the scene, pulling Gajeel to the kitchen as Wendy started helping Romeo with his homework.

"I bet it's gonna take a while." The woman said with a smile, offering Gajeel some tea. "I thought about your offer." Gajeel almost choked on the drink, eager to get his answer, but Levy sighed heavily.

"And..." Gajeel broke the awkward silence after a long moment.

"I'm forced to use you again." Levy said with a hint of disappointment, smiling bitterly.

"Hey, none of that. Don't do that to yourself. I offered my help, remember?" Gajeel placed his tea cup on the table, trying to make Levy look at him.

"You know, I did fine without you before." Levy started, Gajeel suddenly feeling his insides constrict. "Sure, it was hard both for me and for Romeo... But we managed. And now..." She shrugged helplessly, her eyes filling without her will. "Damn it..." She wiped her eyes in haste, Gajeel offering her a napkin. "I know I'm not ready for more... But I want you to know you mean a lot to me. And to Romeo. And a simple 'thank you' isn't enough for everything you did and you still do." Levy kept wiping her tears, her lower lip trembling from frustration.

"Hey..." Gajeel placed a comforting hand over hers. "It's enough. Believe me when I say it is." He squeezed her hand a bit, then released Levy. "And I know I promised I wouldn't act out on my feelings until you accept me, but I'm... I'm sorry if I... made you think I need some sort of... compensation for keeping an eye on Romeo. So I wanna apologize. For yesterday. I'll try to control myself, even though..." Gajeel exhaled heavily and looked at Levy with all the love he felt for her, the woman holding her breath for a moment. Wendy came running through the door, breaking their moment.

"Levy! Did Gajeel tell you were going to mom's place this weekend? Can you two come?" The girl glued herself on Levy's arm, looking at the woman with her big eyes.

"Uh..." She looked from Wendy to Gajeel to Romeo, who just hopped in the door frame, thinking hard. After a long moment of silence, she decided to let her fears go and go with the flow. "You know what? Sure. I know Romeo is sore from all the lying in bed and he won't stop complaining about his 'imprisonment'." The three giggled as Romeo yelled an outraged 'HEY!'. "So, if you'll have us, we'll be there." Levy glanced at Gajeel's wide smile, Wendy jumping from joy.

"What do you mean 'you'll be there'? There's plenty of room in my car, no need to drive there. Plus, it's a waste of gas."

"But..."

"I know what you're gonna say, so... How about we split the gas, then you wouldn't have to feel indebted to me. Even though I don't like the idea."

"Sounds good to me." Levy smiled warmly, thanking him silently for understanding.

So, next morning, the four were on their way for some well-deserved relax time, the adults in the front and the kids nestled on the back seat with toys scattered around them.

At one point, the two kids started singing, Levy quickly joining in. Gajeel glanced her way once he heard her voice, grinning slightly.

"Come on, Gajeel, sing with us!" Levy said with a wide smile, the man refusing politely.

"Come on, Gajeel, show Levy your awesome voice! He plays the guitar, too!" Wendy praised him, Gajeel's ears reddening when Levy looked at him with admiration.

"Nah, I gotta concentrate on driving. But you guys can go ahead."

"Aww, Gajeel's embarrassed!" Romeo said suddenly. "No worries, we know it's because your singing sucks." The singing trio started laughing.

"I'm not embarrassed! And, for the record, I have a great voice, okay, brat? You just never heard me sing."

"Uh-huh. Off-tune." Romeo giggled, but Wendy started a song on her phone.

"Sing this one, Gajeel! I love it!" Gajeel groaned. That was the song he made for Levy a few months back, and he wasn't ready to let her hear it. The guitar started slowly.

"Come on, kid, not that one..."

"Yeees, this one, please, please, please..." Wendy whined as the song continued, the girl humming. Gajeel sighed as the words itched to get out.

The first words that come out

And I can see this song will be about ya

I can't believe that I can breathe without ya

But all I need to do is carry on.

The next line I write down

And there's a tear that falls between the pages

I know that pain's supposed to heal in stages

But it depends which one I'm standing on

I write lines down, then rip them off,

Describing love can't be this tough...

I could set this song on fire

Send it up in smoke,

I could throw it in the river,

Watch it sinking slowly.

Tie the pages to a plane,

Send it to the moon,

Play it for the world, but it won't mean much unless I sing this song to you.

Gajeel glanced to Levy, who was staring at him with her mouth open. He grinned, then continued.

I'm dying to show you

This could end happily ever after

And it doesn't ever have to be a disaster

And all you have to do is sing along.

I write lines down, then rip them off,

Impossible describing love...

I could set this song on fire

Send it up in smoke,

I could throw it in the river,

Watch it sinking slowly.

Tie the pages to a plane,

Send it to the moon,

Play it for the world, but it won't mean much unless I sing this song to you.

Light this old guitar on fire, I'd still hear the notes
Drown the melody in water, I'd still hear its ghost
Sing it with somebody else, but we'd be out of tune
Play it for the world, but it won't mean much...

I could set this song on fire

Send it up in smoke,

I could throw it in the river,

Watch it sinking slowly.

Tie the pages to a plane,

Send it to the moon,

Play it for the world, but it won't mean much unless I sing this song to you.

Wendy sang the chorus together with Gajeel, the end leaving the car very quiet.

"Okay, your voice doesn't suck." Romeo cut the awkward silence, clearly pissed he was wrong about Gajeel. "The song, on the other hand..."

"What's wrong with my song?" Gajeel asked, outraged.

"Your song? You sound like you made it." Romeo snorted and looked out the window

"I did, snot eater!" Romeo snapped his eyes to the mirror to look in Gajeel's eyes with awe, but he had his pride, so the boy would never admit he liked the song.

"Ya don't seem like the type to make such lovey-dovey songs. I was expecting something with more bass. And more yelling Satan's name." Levy and Wendy giggled as the two bickered for a few more minutes, the bluenette seeing Gajeel in a new light. The man could be serious and he could act like an 8 year old. And, from what she saw, he was fiercely protective of the kids and he was always so helpful. He was a wonderful man. She felt she could love him. And she knew he would be like this always. He wasn't two faced, he showed her exactly who he was. Levy didn't realize the car was quiet again. Gajeel nudged her softly since she didn't say anything for a long time.

"Hey... You OK?" Levy's heart squeezed in her chest after reading the true concern in Gajeel's red eyes.

"Yeah, yeah."

"Do you wanna make a pit stop? There's a gas stop in a mile. How about it, brats? Pit stop in a mile?"

"Yeah!" The two kids cheered loudly.

A few hours later, Rose, Natsu and Juvia were welcoming them warmly. And loudly. Natsu quickly went to the boy and lifted him on his shoulders, disappearing with him a moment later. Juvia pecked her older brother on the cheek and hugged a startled Levy, then took her backpack and headed inside.

"Well, come on in, don't let the girl stand there, where are your manners, boy?" Rose scolded Gajeel, the man placing a hand on Levy's lower back to guide her in. Levy was obviously flustered by all the attention and the immediate acceptance from Gajeel's family.

"I heard from Metal Head here you love books." Natsu started suddenly during dinner, Levy snapping her eyes from her food to look between Gajeel and Natsu.

"Uh... Yeah, I love reading."

"Cool! You'll get along just fine with my girlfriend! She's coming tomorrow for lunch." This made Gajeel choke on his food.

"You got a girl? Since when?"

"Since none of your damn business, that's when!" The two started bickering.

"Who'd kiss that ugly mug of yours, let alone fu..." Gajeel remembered the kids, looking around the table. He gulped when he saw Rose's glare. "Fun. Have fun with you." Juvia and Levy started giggling.

"Before you start throwing insults about who's mug is uglier, remember, we are related. Hence you look like me." Natsu replied, clearly satisfied with himself.

"Ha! Don't make me laugh! Me look like you? Please, even Ice Princess can say who's the beauty of this family."

"Yes, I agree." Juvia broke in, her tone clearly saying Gray would praise her, and not the two overgrown children. Natsu and Gajeel glared at her, Levy and the kids giggling.

"Now, boys, can't we have a quiet dinner?"

"He started it!" The two men said in unison, the rest of the table bursting into a loud laughter.

"Well, he did!" The two said at the same time again, making the rest laughing more. Levy wiped a tear from her eye.

"In case you're wondering, yes, this is normal for them." Juvia said to the bluenette, Rose shaking her head disapprovingly at Gajeel and Natsu's antics.

The next day came with a bright sun and a very energetic Natsu, who jumped in Gajeel's bed while he was still sleeping.

"Wake up, Metal Rod! We need to go shopping for barbecue!"

"What the fuck, Flame Breath? It's 7:30! Go back under your rock and let me sleep!" Gajeel groaned when he looked at his phone and saw the time, then turned on the side and tried to get some more sleep, with no luck. Natsu plopped in bed next to him and wiggled his hands around Gajeel's waist, the raven haired man snapping his eyes open.

"What the FUCK, you fag? Get your damn hands off!" He tried to wiggle away, Natsu laughing.

"She's just around the corner, lover boy. You don't have to go back to sleep so you can dream about her." Natsu said in a weird voice, wiggling his eyebrows. Gajeel started fighting through the covers, trying desperately to make his brother take his hands off.

"What the fuck are you talking about? Let go, perv!" He finally managed to shove his feet in Natsu's abs and pushed him off the bed, the pinkette falling on the floor with a startled yelp and a loud thud.

"You talk in your sleep, Fuck Face." Natsu rubbed a sore spot on his ass, heading for the door. "Mmm, Lev... Yeah... Levy... Mmmmm..." Natsu showed his back to Gajeel, mimicking a hug with his arms. The raven haired man moved to chase after his brother, who bolted out the door with a shrilling laughter, only to be stopped by the sheet, face first on the floor. He heard Natsu laugh even harder after he popped his head in the room and saw Gajeel sprawled on the floor in a heap of limbs and sheet. Juvia opened the door, clearly grumpy because of all the noise, then closed the door with a loud snap. Levy came in the door next while Gajeel tried to get himself untangled.

"Need some help?" Gajeel looked briefly at Levy with a scowl, then doubled back, his mouth hanging open slightly. Levy had her toothbrush and paste in one hand, dressed in a sweatshirt and shorts, and she wasn't wearing a bra. He gulped loudly, his throat feeling very dry all of a sudden. Levy headed for him when she saw he wasn't answering, pulling on the sheet that was keeping Gajeel captive. She was still half sleeping apparently, since Levy didn't seem to notice Gajeel was topless, pulling on the sheet with a warm smile. The man was freed a moment later, Levy offering him a hand to get up, which he eagerly took. He kept looking in her eyes as he got up, not letting go of her hand. There was a long moment where the two just stood there, gazing into each other's eyes, hands clasped. Gajeel's other hand raised itself to brush some blue strands away from Levy's forehead, the short woman flinching slightly when she felt his warm fingers on her skin.

"Ugh, he's so loud in the morning!" Romeo's voice was heard before he could reach Gajeel's room, the two retreating their hands in haste and Levy heading for the door.

"Morning, sweetie!" Levy greeted her son with a peck on the cheek, the boy blushing hotly when he noticed Gajeel looking at them.

"Moooom... I'm not a baby!" He complained, but didn't push his mother away. Gajeel turned around and wiped a hand over his face, then proceeded to making his bed.

An hour later, everyone was fed and their daily dose of caffeine used, so everyone but the kids and Rose left shopping.

"You need to get laid." Gray cut the deafening silence as the three men strode along a different aisle as the girls. Natsu bro fisted the dark haired man, Gajeel merely glaring at the two.

"I'm not having this conversation with you two."

"You don't have to. It's her you should talk to." Gray smirked as Gajeel rolled his eyes.

"You spend too much time with Juvia. Some of her not-so-nice 'qualities' are rubbing off on you. Such as minding others' business." Gajeel grabbed two six-packs and added them to the stroller.

"I don't care, honestly, but you do talk in your sleep. And my room is right across from you. You were moaning loud enough for me to hear."

"Told ya." Natsu had his arms full of spicy chips. "And it's annoying as fuck." Gray agreed, Gajeel feeling his cheeks getting hot. He turned on the spot, searching for snacks for the kids.

"Plus, you can cut all that sexual tension with a knife. She likes you, too, dumb ass." Gajeel scoffed and turned to face the two, suppressing the need to smash his fist in their faces.

"I know that. She knows that. What everyone else doesn't know, and pisses me off, is that she's been through a very abusive relationship. So you can take all that sexual tension and shove it somewhere the sun don't shine, cuz I ain't pushing her." Surprise was clear on Gray and Natsu's faces, but they finally let it go. Gajeel felt sick to his stomach recalling everything he read in her files, thanks to Dreyar. He was grateful for his job, but knowledge was a two edged sword. He knew they meant well, but that didn't stop the gnawing feeling of revenge at that being. He couldn't call him 'human', cuz no other human would bring such harm to another. Especially to the one you swore to love and protect.

"We got veggies and meat. Anything else on the list?" A warm voice brought him back from his dark thoughts, Gajeel feeling thankful she was there, next to him. He smiled relieved, startling Levy for a moment.

"Let's get outta here before Flame Brain buys the whole supermarket. Hey! Put down the hot-as-fuck salsa!" Natsu groaned loudly, but obeyed.

A few hours later, the grill was sizzling with delicious food, the yard was filled with happy, animated voices and conversations, and Rose's eyes were sparkling with bitter-sweet content. All of her children were happy, and the family was getting bigger. Moments like these made her miss her late husband terribly, but she couldn't help it. It was no one's fault destiny decided to take a good man and make him an angel. And, looking at the little girl, she felt stupid for ever blaming her for his death. A loud whoop startled her out of her thoughts.

"She's here! Finally! The guys were about to eat everything and leave you to starve." Natsu lunged for the door to peck his girl on the cheek, the blonde looking flushed from the attention.

"Natsu! Not in public!" She pushed him away, but took his hand and followed him to the others.

"Lucy, meet my mom, sis, Levy, Metal Head (unfortunately, my brother), Droopy Eyes (my brother-in-law), Wendy and the little brat. As soon as his 'introductions' were over, a few voices complained loudly with outraged protests, Gajeel grabbing Natsu in a head lock while Gray knuckled his pink head, ignoring the pained cry of help from him. The blonde merely stared at the scene, not knowing how to react to such a display. Rose saved her from the growing dispute, guiding her with kind words and a warm smile, assuring her it was all normal for them. Juvia and Levy offered her some food, then sat down and ignored the loud bickering of the three men.

"So, Lucy, was it?" The blonde nodded after taking a sip of water. "Natsu told me you like books." Juvia glanced briefly to Levy, clearly trying to make the two shy women talk. Lucy's face lighted up, practically itching to start her ranting about books, but, looking around, she decided to tone it down a little.

"Yeah, I do. I own a bookstore in town, actually." This spiked Levy's curiosity.

"Really? What kind of books do you sell?" The short bluenette moved a little closer to the blonde, interest clear on her face.

"All kinds of books, from old to new. I have a reading club once a week for kids who can't afford books and I plan to open a cafe inside before autumn sets it." The two women were clearly a perfect match, Rose and Juvia smiling warmly at each other once they saw how well they started off, so they took their leave and let the bookworms chat away.

Soon enough, to all of their disappointment, night crept slowly, cooling the hot summer day. The kids fell asleep on the hammock at one point, even though it wasn't even 10 P.M., so Gajeel and Natsu took them to bed, then rejoined everyone in the yard. The conversation toned down, allowing them to enjoy the cry of the crickets and the silence of the night. No one really wanted to go to sleep, even thought tiredness was starting to take its toll on them, so, soon after the dishes were washed and the food was put away, everyone retired to their rooms. After all, Monday was approaching and they all had work in the morning, plus the couple of hours journey back home.

Gajeel woke up way before sunrise to start the journey home. He placed the bags in the car and went to Levy's room to wake her, too. He crept in slowly, tiptoe-ing to the bed, where he just stared for a long moment. Levy was spooning her son, blue hair sprawled over the pillow. The raven haired man dared to brush a few strands away from her forehead, then placed his lips gently on the soft skin, inhaling deeply. Gajeel looked longingly at her beautiful face, wanting to lie down next to her, wrap his arms around her tiny waist and never let go. His head was swimming with her floral, musky scent, a soft nuance that clung to his nostrils in a pleasant way.

Romeo turned with all his limbs and practically climbed on his mother, ruining Gajeel's moment. Levy turned slightly and placed a palm on her son, making sure even in her sleep that Romeo was there. Gajeel smiled warmly and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder, shaking slowly.

"Lev..." The woman opened her eyes, looking confused for a moment, then smiled warmly at Gajeel, stopping his breath. "Come on, we gotta go." He whispered, Levy nodding and moving to get out of bed. Gajeel retreated himself to let the small woman get prepared. Half an hour later, Gajeel, Levy and the two kids were in the car, waving goodbyes to Rose, who woke up only to see them off, then went back inside, since the sun wasn't even up yet.

Soon after they drive off, the kids fell asleep. Levy looked in the rear view mirror once she realized the car was very quiet. She smiled fondly at the scene, the two kids sleeping soundly. She turned the music down, Gajeel glancing at her.

"Quiet seems so loud now." Gajeel said in a low voice, smiling slightly. "Not that I'm complaining." Levy chuckled.

"Yeah. Some well-deserved quiet time. So rare, yet so fulfilling." Gajeel nodded. A few minutes later, as Levy contemplated the silence in the dark car, Gajeel's humming stopped her wondering thoughts and she listened intently, not daring to turn. She recognized the tune from two days earlier, when Wendy requested Gajeel's song. "Song on fire", she remembered, since the little girl kept singing it even after reaching Rose's place. She moved her head lightly to the tune.

"I can't help but feel this song was made for... someone very special." Levy broke the silence, Gajeel stopping his humming to look at Levy a long moment. He turned his eyes back on the road, swallowing the sudden lump in his throat.

"I made it for you, actually." Gajeel said in a low voice, squeezing the steering wheel and thanking for the night, since he felt his cheeks burning. Levy stopped breathing for a moment, hearing his words. She smiled warmly, her eyes filling without her will. She looked away, blinking rapidly, trying to clear her vision. Gajeel felt the tingling inside his body being replaced by a sickening feeling once he saw Levy turn away. He was certain she was disgusted, and feared he created a rift between them. He felt so stupid, he might as well confessed his growing love for her, no wonder she looked away!

His mind suddenly stopped when he felt warm fingers over his right hand, resting on the gear shift. Gajeel inhaled sharply from the shock, glancing at Levy's hand, then at Levy, who was looking out the window. He adjusted his hand to hold hers better, his insides taking flight.

He never enjoyed silence more than that moment.
