I don't own TMNT.

He knew it from the moment it started.

He knew it, right at that moment, that it was his last chance.

He knew that nothing could save him now.

Not even their pleas for him to stay.

Not even their promises they'd swear to keep.

Not even their love.

Not even them themselves.

They all knew, yet they still tried.

But their efforts were in vain.

Nothing could save him now.

All the emotions he'd tried to hide came rushing at him, making him feeling those unwanted things.

All the times he'd failed came flying back to him, replaying in his head.

All the mistakes he'd made came tumbling at him, crushing him into nothingness.

He knew nothing could save him.

They knew, too.

But they still tried.

He would stay if he could.

He would definitely stay if he could.

But he couldn't.

It was his last chance, and he knew it.

They knew it was true, but they clung onto the last bits of hope they had.

They begged for him to stay.

They wished he wouldn't go.

But it was too late, and they all knew.

He had to go.

It wasn't a choice he could make.

It was already decided.

It was his fate, and he knew.

They all knew, too, but they refused to believe so.

It wasn't something they could change.

It wasn't something anyone could change.

And he knew.

They all knew.

They couldn't even save him.

They blamed it on themselves, yet deep down inside they knew that it wasn't their fault.

They all knew that.

Even him.

It was his last chance.

They cried out their last words to him.

And then he went into the darkness,

Tumbling.

A/N: This is probably the saddest and shortest story I've ever written but I hoped you liked it anyway.
