Hello everyone! Did you miss me?

*crickets*

Heh…sorry…didn't mean to take over a year to update this, writing's just getting away from me, or at least escaping to stories that aren't on fanfic yet. But an idea hit me for this story the other day and…I wanted to write it SO badly, so here I am.

In any case, thanks to SnowKi (I'm here, promise!), AomeAzakura (Thanks!), SentaiPurpleRanger (Well, here's the beginning of it!), Legends of Time (I promise I am, it's just taking me a long time!), alahorserider (Ah, but who said they would be engaged in this movie? After all…that was a year ago by both my time and the movie's time (NOT ON PURPOSE I SWEAR!)), Guest (Well…I have actually seen a couple Ahk/OC fics where he became living, haven't found one where the OC becomes immortal though, but…I never really liked those, so…I'm gonna do my own thing), anonymouscsifan (Thank you!), arwenishtar (I hope this wait was worth it and you still enjoy this story! I'm glad the last chapter moved you to tears!), NicoleR85 (Thanks!), StygianJackal (I couldn't get the idea out of my head and it fit them well, so…XD glad you enjoyed!) and BrookeWorm3 (Thanks so much!) for reviewing, all 438 followers, 416 favorites and 63,022 readers!

Man, you guys, I don't deserve you or such a long list of people who love this story, thank you so much. My writing has improved a LOT since I first started this story almost five years ago and I really hope you guys enjoy it.

By the way, have I ever told you guys I went to New York years ago and actually went to the museum NatM was filmed at? It was pretty cool! Didn't see Rexy, sadly, but I DID go to the planetarium. Seeing it in the movie a couple years later was great, haha!

Oh yeah, and since this was their final movie, this chapter starts the dedication to Robin Williams and Mickey Rooney, two fantastic actors I loved watching on screen!

Also, I vaguely remember someone mentioning in a review that they were disappointed I took out the family conflict of the first film, though I may be wrong so don't take my word for it. But…you guys ready for some more family conflict? Cause I got a doozy of an idea the other day and we're jumping right into it…get ready folks. The ride has only just begun. Enjoy and leave a review to let me know what you think!

It had been six years since the incident with the Smithsonian and one year since Abigail's marriage to Ahkmenrah. In that time, the blonde 22 year old young woman had started attending NYU and had joined her father in working at the museum with the 'night program', part time of course.

And so, that was how she found herself running through the museum in a dark blue, halter top evening dress that went down to the ground with her hair up in a bun done by her mother the night the renovated planetarium opened.

"Tonight gonna be fun-fun. Here comes dumb-dumb!" The Easter Island head called as Abigail ran past, having finished calming the Huns down and now going to check on her missing husband. She could hear Larry and Sacagawea behind her, going over all the preparations for the night. Since Rebecca had taken a vacation to visit her family, it was just the two of them keeping everything on track.

It didn't take long for Abigail to find Ahkmenrah…considering she ran right into him.

"Whoa!" Abigail cried as Ahkmenrah steadied her, grasping her arms tightly to stop her fall.

"Are you alright?" The Pharaoh asked, concerned.

"Yeah…just a bit worn out from getting everyone ready." Abigail smiled up at him. "Took me way too long to convince some of the Huns to leave the weapons in the display, never mind getting them calmly in the lobby." She chuckled, but Ahkmenrah's brow still remained furrowed.

"You should be more careful, Abigail, what if-" He started to protest.

"Hey, I'm okay, you saved me, remember?" She cut him off before he could finish his sentence. "Now, what are you doing back here? Is there something wrong?"

"I need to show your father something." Ahkmenrah explained.

"Alright, then let's go get him." Abigail nodded firmly as she intertwined her fingers with Ahkmenrah's, her pendent catching the light as surely as any wedding ring ever would, as they made their way to the lobby of the museum. "Dad." Abigail called as they approached her father.

"You better come see this." Ahkmenrah said as Larry turned towards the two. His tone alone worried Abigail even more. What could be so wrong that he would be so worried?

She got her answer when she, Larry and Ahkmenrah returned to the Egyptian exhibit and she saw the Tablet…only to gasp in shock as her father's flashlight illuminated it.

"Have you ever seen it like this before?" Larry questioned. The bottom right corner of the Tablet was turning green.

"Never." Ahkmenrah shook his head. "This corrosion has never happened before. It's always been exactly the same."

"I have a bad feeling about this." Abigail said. "Corrosion of regular artifacts is already not good, but of a magical artifact?"

"I wonder what's up with it." Larry mused.

"I have no idea." Ahkmenrah sighed. "And to be honest, my father knew the secrets of the Tablet better than I did. Unfortunately, he swore he'd never reveal them. He never did."

Suddenly, Ahkmenrah fell back and both Larry and Abigail quickly grasped him to keep him standing.

In the corner of her eye, Abigail noted the corrosion seemed to have spread, but…

"What's wrong?" She asked, her eyes focused solely on her husband.

"You okay?" Larry added, equally concerned for his son-in-law.

"Yes. Yes, I'm fine." Ahkmenrah confirmed, and it was true, he did look fine. Whatever had swept over him seemed to have passed, but…Abigail still worried.

"Just take it easy out there tonight, alright?" Larry cautioned. "You got 15 minutes until showtime. We're gonna figure this out tomorrow."

"Alright." Ahkmenrah called in agreement.

With that, the nightguard left the couple to themselves and Abigail took her own time examining the Pharaoh.

"Maybe we should be more worried about you then we are about me…" She mused, entirely serious.

"Now, now, you're much more precious than I could ever be, my love." Ahkmenrah denied as he gently brushed his hand against her cheek.

"Says the Pharaoh of Egypt." Abigail sighed.

"Says the Queen of Egypt." Ahkmenrah challenged right back.

"Only by your standards." She shook her head before she turned back to the Tablet. "I'm worried…I have a really bad feeling about all this."

"So do I." Ahkmenrah sighed. "But no use worrying about it now, come on. We have a show to perform, after all."

Abigail rolled her eyes, he had obviously spent too much time with her brother and father, but she followed him out anyway. Of course, she was smart enough to know that both their thoughts remained on the Tablet, despite the smiles they presented to the world at large.

When they returned to the lobby, Abigail watched as her father headed off in the direction of the Neanderthals exhibit. With a grin, she ran up to Teddy.

"Hey, Teddy! Dad finally going to see the newest Neanderthal?" She grinned.

"Of course, I finally convinced him." Teddy laughed.

"Oh, he's gonna hate this." Abigail giggled.

"Oh most certainly." Teddy grinned. "My dear girl, be sure to enjoy the show tonight and try not to drive your poor father too crazy."

"I'll do my best. Good luck, Teddy." She smiled as the wax president tipped his hat at her before moving along to prepare to go on.

"I suppose I should prepare as well." Ahkmenrah mused before he gently kissed her on the cheek. "I shall see you before you go tonight."

"Good luck, you'll do great." Abigail smiled before Ahkmenrah joined the rest of the exhibits.

"Dumb-Dumb got a new son-son!" The Easter Island head suddenly yelled and Abigail could not hold back her laughter at that.

After all, she apparently had a new brother now!

Abigail stood off to the sidelines near Sacagawea, hidden from the view of the guests, as the music began to play and the doors opened to allow Teddy in.

"Since 1869, when I was a mere boy of 11, this museum has been a shining beacon to our great city." Teddy proclaimed. "Tonight, we'll expand our horizons even further, to the sun, the moon and the stars. From our very beginning, mankind has looked to the heavens and given names to what he saw. The constellations. I thought you might like to meet them."

"Cue the constellations." Larry's voice whispered in the radio Abigail held in her hand. At the same time, she and the Native American opened the planetary doors, allowing the constellations to flow into the room.

She could hear the gasps of awe as Leo Major and Leo Minor formed, running through the room.

"Orion, the hunter!" Teddy pointed out as the hunter constellation formed near Scorpio and Cancer.

In the corner of her eye, Abigail spotted an apple made of stars form on Dr. McPhee's head and she stifled a giggle as Orion pulled back his bow and shot an arrow at the apple. After that, he aimed his bow at the ceiling and released another arrow, causing an explosion of stars to fill the room.

And that was when the silks dropped down, along with Dexter. Abigail grinned as she watched the little monkey succeed at his routine, considering he'd been struggling with the end of it for a few weeks now. The success made her feel warm inside.

"Thank you for your patronage and for your unwavering support of this fine institution." Teddy continued. "This newly renovated planetarium will serve as a lens-"

Suddenly, Teddy's voice cut off into gibberish, causing Abigail's brow to furrow. Of course, she had more pressing concerns, considering she saw Sacagawea stiffening up beside her, as if she were a mannequin once again and not alive.

When the Native American's body began to tilt, as if she would fall, the blonde young woman raced forward and grasped her, trying to steady her as chaos erupted below them. She could hear Sacagawea mumbling in a language she didn't understand and she could see her eyes were glassy and unseeing. That scared her even more than Teddy's terrorizing the guests, Dexter's screaming and Attila and the animals charging into the room as Orion began to shoot arrow after arrow and Rexy followed after them all with a roar that sent the guests fleeing.

After all, the idea that the people she had come to cherish as much as her own family wouldn't recognize her was all too scary compared to the chaos below that could be salvaged.

Once the museum was empty and everyone was back to normal, Abigail gathered them all on the stairs, checking to make sure everyone was alright. Thankfully, everyone was okay and back to normal, though none had any idea of what had happened. Sacagawea, in particular, squeezed Abigail's hand tightly as she apologized for scaring the young woman. Abigail just shook her head and squeezed back, sitting beside the Native American and Teddy.

"Guys, what was going on out there?" Larry questioned as he returned. The Neanderthal who looked like her dad was behind him, grunting in an attempt to mimic his inspiration. "Seriously, what were you thinking?" Larry continued when nobody answered. Before anyone could speak up, he turned to the Neanderthal. "Laaa, I got this, alright? Just…go over there." Laaa, instead, walked towards Larry. "No, go over there. Go." Larry pointed towards the fire extinguisher, which thankfully Laaa went to.

"Dad…I don't think they were thinking. It was like they couldn't." Abigail said. "I mean…Attila was smashing the dolphin ice sculpture and he'd never do that. It's one of the most peaceful creatures on Earth and he was…what's the words I'm looking for…"

"Hacking into it like it was The Cove or something." Larry finished, turning towards the Hun himself as Abigail nodded in agreement to his words. "Did you see the look on Regis Philbin's face?"

"Reeju?" Attila gaped, sounding heartbroken. Understandable, considering how much he loved watching Regis Philbin.

"Yeah, man, Reeju." Larry agreed before turning to Teddy. "Teddy, what were you doing pointing a gun at me?"

"Forgive me, Lawrence. I don't know what came over me." Teddy apologized.

"Do you even remember that?" Larry questioned.

"Not at all." Teddy denied.

"I'm getting really worried now, Dad." Abigail bit her lip, tightening her grip on Sacagawea's hand.

Before anyone else could say anything, however, they all heard Laaa crying out and turned to see him using the defibrillator…on himself.

"Laaa, put that down! It's a defibrillator. Put it down. It's dangerous!" Larry cried and Laaa started to obey…only to put the two ends on the sides of his head instead. "Laaa, that's electricity. Those aren't headphones. Stop it!"

"Why a Neanderthal…? Why…?" Abigail sighed, the humor of the whole situation now completely gone.

It got even worse as Dexter began to pee on Larry.

"Oh! Hey! Whoa! Dexter!" Larry cried. "What are you doing? Huh?" The monkey just stuck his tongue out. "Honestly, if you're gonna act like a baby, then I'll get you some diapers. You want diapers again? Huh?"

"Whoa! Whoa! Ease up on the reins there, hoss." Jed cut in. "Can't you see? He feels terrible! Hell, we all do!"

"I don't know what's going on with everybody here, but tonight was really weird. Really weird." Larry stressed as he addressed everyone.

"We feel awful." Octavius spoke up. "Something took hold of us like an evil spell!"

"Yeah, like we just weren't ourselves." Jed agreed.

"An evil spell…the Tablet!" Abigail cried before she stood and ran all the way to the Egyptian exhibit where, sure enough, she found Ahkmenrah staring at the Tablet. He turned towards her as she entered and she knew her father was right behind her.

"What is it?" Ahkmenrah asked.

"What if the reason everyone's been acting weird and Ahkmenrah fainted was because of the Tablet?" Abigail suggested, looking at both her husband and her father. She remembered when the museum was vacant, finding Ahkmenrah pushing himself up from the floor. Nothing had scared her more in that moment and so they had sent him back to his exhibit to rest while the meeting occurred.

"You know, you might be on to something." Larry agreed thoughtfully. "Maybe there some notes from the expedition to find Ahk that could shed some light on all this."

"Do you really think so?" Ahkmenrah questioned.

"Well, we've got to try something, since we can't ask your father." Larry sighed. "Come on, Abby, we should be heading home. It's late."

"Right…" Abigail agreed before she turned to her husband and gave him a brief, chaste kiss on the lips. "Good morning." She whispered.

"Good morning." Ahkmenrah smiled, even as worry darkened his eyes and his arms wrapped around her waist, his thumbs resting against her stomach.

With a final smile, Abigail pulled away and followed her father out of the museum, saying goodbye to the rest of the exhibits as they went and promising they'd figure everything out as they went.

She had a feeling none of them were gonna have a peaceful morning after this…

Of course, things only got worse from there even before the night was done. Not only was Larry on the phone with Dr. McPhee the whole ride to their apartment and up to the front door, when they went inside…they found a party happening, with Nicky at the DJ station, jumping to the beat.

"Oh no…" Abigail sighed as her father approached her brother. This was not a headache she wanted to deal with right now, considering her head was already pounding due to her brother's loud music.

Ignoring it all, she leaned against the nearest wall and covered her face with her hands.

"Say, never seen you before. What's your name?" A slimy, or it felt like that at least, voice suddenly said as a hand traced up her arm. Violently, Abigail pulled away from this boy, kid really, and uncovered her eyes the slightest bit to glare at him.

"I'm in a very serious relationship. Back off." She snapped.

Instantly, the kid turned white and moved away from her as if she struck him. Not that she cared, as she covered her eyes once again. She just wanted the music to stop.

Thankfully, it finally did, despite all the groans she heard to show the teens' displeasure. With a sigh of relief, Abigail made her way into the kitchen to get a glass of water, glaring at every kid that tried to approach her. She was stressed and tired and not in the mood right now.

When everyone was finally gone, she found herself nursing her water as Larry started cleaning up and Nicky sat in the bar stool next to her.

"I didn't really know you were coming home early." Nicky commented.

"Yeah, that's pretty obvious." Larry stated, his voice disappointed.

Abigail bit her lip as she awaited the inevitable fight. It was like being in a parallel universe, honestly. Nicky and Larry's interactions reminded her of her own with Larry when she was 14 and felt ostracized from the family. Except where she had avoided Larry, Nicky acted out. Still, if this really was a 'parallel universe' situation, then she knew she couldn't intervene. It had to be the two of them who worked this out, not her.

"I mean…what makes you think this is okay?" Larry questioned.

"When I'm not at Mom's, you and Abby leave me alone like every night, you know." Nicky complained. Abigail wanted to smack her forehead, but she didn't move.

"Look, you can't be doing this right now. You've got finals, your NYU application is due in what, two weeks?" Larry pointed out.

"I'm not gonna get into NYU." Nicky shook his head, a note of self deprecation entering his voice. Abigail lowered her eyes at that. She didn't want to make Nicky feel that way, if she had. He was just as smart and talented as her, just in different ways.

"You don't know that." Larry protested.

"No, I do." Nicky disagreed.

"You don't know that." The father repeated.

"I do very much know that, in the sense that I don't intend to apply." The son elaborated.

"What?" Larry asked, thrown.

"I don't think it's the place for me right now, Dad, not like it is for Abby." Nicky explained.

"Okay. Alright, fine. You want to spread your wings a little, get out of the city, go to school somewhere else." Larry nodded, Nicky smiling in agreement at his words. For a moment, Abigail felt her hopes lift. "I totally support that. All you had to do was tell me. Where do you want to go? What's the list?"

"It's a short list." Nicky said and that alone had Abigail narrowing her eyes at her brother.

"Great. I like it. Focus." Larry said, not catching on yet.

"I'mma hit you with a super short list, man, because it's…there's nothing on it." Nicky smiled as he said the words.

Abigail's head fell against the counter. You idiot…

"There's…I'm confused, because there's not a list-" Larry started to say.

"Dad?" Nicky said as he pushed himself to his feet. "I want to take a year off. I would like to do exactly what you just said. I want to spread my wings."

"You want to spread your wings, that's great. But you can't spread your wings and fly to nowhere." Larry contradicted.

"Plans change." The son said.

"No, they don't." The father protested. "No, they don't. Plans don't change."

"We had a plan, it changed." Nicky continued. "It's disorienting at first."

"No. You can't change the plan unless you check with the people who are financing the plan, which is, last time I checked, your mother and I. Okay?" Larry cut him off.

"Dad, we could sit here and just have this conversation about plans, but for now, let's call it a night." Nicky said. "Let's not even clean up, right? Let's come back tomorrow. Let's reboot the whole energy, the whole tone of this puppy and we'll kill it, man. Team Daley! Not tonight, tomorrow."

"Hey, Team Daley?" Larry said.

"Yeah?"

"Stop talking."

"Okay."

"You're gonna clean up. Your sister and I are gonna go to bed. And then we're gonna finish this conversation tomorrow." Larry declared before heading off to his room.

Thankfully, Nicky waited until their father was gone before turning on his sister.

"Thanks for the help, Abby." He groaned.

"Not my place to help either side. You two work it out." Abigail sighed as she straightened. "I had my rebellious phase already, your turn now."

"You're my sister, you're supposed to have my back." Nicky complained.

"And I do, except when you're fighting with Dad and my help isn't gonna make anything better." Abigail explained. "Besides, a party? Really? And why did your creepy friend hit on me?"

"Cause he thought you were hot?" Nicky suggested only to be hit upside the head, even if he was taller than her now.

"Not the point, imbecile!" She huffed. Before she could say anything else, however, her stomach lurched and she ran for the nearest bathroom. Thankfully, she made it in time and threw up the entire content of her stomach into the bowl. "Damn…it's too early for this already…"

"You okay, Abby?" Nicky asked, his voice now full of concern for his sister as he knelt beside her, a hand on her back.

"I…I'm fine." Abigail nodded, her voice soft.

"You've been getting sick a lot lately…is something wrong?" Her brother questioned.

"No, it's just…" She couldn't say it. She couldn't.

However, it seemed as if her silence spoke loud enough for her.

"Abby, are you pr-"

She smothered his mouth before he could complete the word.

"Don't say it too loud!" She hissed before her face, and hand, fell and she slowly, carefully nodded. "But…yeah…I am…"

"Holy shit…" Nicky whispered, his eyes wide as he stared at her. "How…how long?"

"Only a month, give or take…" She admitted before she narrowed her eyes at her brother. "I'm not giving you any details other than that."

"Don't want them." Nicky shook his head before his features softened. "Does anybody else know?"

"Just Mom and Ahkmenrah…I…haven't told Dad yet…I don't know how…" Abigail admitted. "I'm scared as to how he'll react."

"He's gonna be so happy for you." Nicky smiled. "He probably never thought you'd be the one giving him grandkids, considering your husband is, you know…"

"A dead Pharaoh who comes to life every night thanks to a magical Tablet?" Abigail smirked.

"Yep." Nicky grinned before he grew worried. "How are you gonna explain this to people who don't know about the museum?"

"It's nobody's business, but mine. They shouldn't care." Abigail shook her head. "Besides, I'm used to rumors spreading about me. What's one more?"

"Still…you're have a baby." Nicky grinned before hugging his sister tightly. "I'm so happy for you."

"Thanks, Nicky…" Abigail smiled, tightening her grip on her little brother. Yeah, he was a pain sometimes, but…she still loved him just as much as she did when they were kids, even if she couldn't chase him around the museum any longer. "Though…should I be more frightened of Jed and Octavius finding out? They were the ones who threatened Ahk when he started courting me, even more than you."

Nicky just laughed into her shoulder and hugged her tighter. Abigail smiled before she slowly let her brother go and stood up.

"Don't think this means you're getting out of cleaning up." She warned.

"Aw, man…" Nicky jokingly whined.

Abigail giggled and kissed her brother on the cheek before heading towards her room to change for bed.

"Night, Nick." She called behind her.

"Night." Nicky called back.

And, despite all the worry and fear plaguing her mind, Abigail somehow slept mostly peacefully through the whole night.
