Ron-Pool: Such a quick reply time. Rain had to work his butt off to finish this bad boy so sit back, relax and enjoy!

Chapter Twenty - Two: The Halfa Vs The Hunter! A Weakened Rocker!

(Ron): It's Flashback Time Some more!
Amity Park, Colorado
Danny Fenton

School had ended and Danny found himself standing in an empty park with Sam, Tucker and Jazz behind him. "Did you guys need to come?" Danny asked with a scowl on his face. "I can handle this alone."

"We're not as honorable as you can be Danny," Jazz said with a frown on her face. "Valerie has been trying to kill you for months. While you are willing to fight her, we don't particularly like this for either of you."

"It doesn't matter," Danny said with a sad smile. "She was right. I was not strong enough to stop Cujo from ruining her life then…I owe her this."

Without warning, he was swiftly turned around by his girlfriend. He could see the concern and anger in her eyes as she said "You and your hero complex is already hard to deal with but you feeling you owe her a debt it worse."

"Sam…" Danny began.

"No! You want to act this way, I'm going to make sure you know what you're really doing," Sam responded angrily. "Your folks have just found out you're Phantom and they are still struggling with that knowledge. You just saved the world and all eyes are on you…And did you even think Dani?!"

Danny's heart clenched.

Dani…

His clone made by Vlad and yet she was so much more than that. He cared for her as if she was a daughter. It was a foolish thought to think this way but he couldn't stop himself from thinking it.

"If Valerie kills you, then she's losing someone she sees as her damn father!" Sam said as she pushed Danny back slightly. "Can you imagine the hurt and the pain she's going to be in? Hell, she's going to be suffering more because she looks up to you and Val!"

Danny could see both anger and hurt in Sam's eyes as she said "And then there's Tucker, Jazz and me…Your best friend, your sister and your g-girlfriend…Your choice can hurt us all…Please just back down from this fight…"

Before Danny could say another word, Valerie came into view from behind Sam. "I'm sorry…" Danny whispered as he gently pushed Sam aside to face his opponent.

"Damn you Fenton!" Sam exclaimed. "If you're so willing to throw it all away then I won't be around to watch it go down!" With those words, Sam stomped off.

"Tucker…Jazz…Please…" Danny said as he kept his eyes on Valerie's form.

"Good luck Danny…" Tucker muttered before he raced off after Sam.

Jazz remained for a moment before she said to the pair "Don't kill each other…Please…" Jazz soon ran off.

The two stood across from one another, both with upset expressions on their faces. "Daniel…" Valerie began. "You are a halfa of your word."

"I always am…" Danny replied.

Valerie gave a sad smile and said "Then I guess it's time-" Valarie lifted her left wrist and pressed the button on it and with a flash of light, Huntress stood in her place, wearing a black suit with red highlights with a helmet that was missing a visor, revealing her face. "-to end this Phantom," Huntress finished before a deep black visor slid down the helmet, hiding her face.

Danny nodded and whispered "Going Ghost…" Two light blue rings appeared at his midsection before spreading apart to reveal Phantom in all of his glory. The wind blew as the pair looked at each other.

A single leaf fell off the tree and landed in the space between them and without hesitation, Huntress launched herself towards Phantom and attempted two quick jabs but Phantom blocked each one before he ducked a round house kick and responded with a rising uppercut.

Huntress took the blow but retaliated with a kick to the chest, which sent them both stumbling backwards. Huntress pressed a button that sat on both of her wrists and with a burst of electricity, Ghost-Gauntlets appeared over his forearms and fists.

She ran forward and launched a jab at Phantom's head but he blocked the blow only to feel electricity course through his body. Alarmed, Danny pushed the fist back only for Huntress to punch Phantom in the face, causing another brutal shock to go through him.

Phantom flew backwards and slammed onto the ground but then he rolled backwards and effortlessly landed on his feet. "I see…You got those from Fenton Ghost Gauntlets…So that is where they went…"Phantom said softly as focused on his opponent.

"Forgive me for borrowing them," Huntress replied, her voice as soft as his. "Thanks to GIW leaving their equipment, I was able to upgrade them and many more of my accessories."

"I'm sure I'll see all of them," Phantom said before he rushed forward and three straight jabs towards Huntress but she met each jab with one of her own, causing Phantom's fists to collide with the Ghost-Gauntlets, causing bursts of green energy to flow from each blow before she ducked and delivered a right hook to the right side of his body.

Phantom bite back the agony of electricity that went through his body before kicked Huntress' left arm as she went for a left hook to his other side then followed up with a knee to the side of her head, which caused Huntress to skid across the ground before she rolled to her feet and held the gauntlet open and began to gather energy within it before she fired it.

Seeing this, Phantom turned intangible to avoid the blast, which incinerated the tree behind him. Phantom turned solid again and flew into the air as Huntress fired bolt after bolt of energy at Phantom, who soared in the air to avoid each shot.

Phantom turned around only to see Huntress soaring through the air with robotic rocket boots now on her feet. She twisted her body and landed a solid right roundhouse kick to his face, which sent Phantom soaring to the ground where he crashed hard.

Phantom rolled to his side to avoid her double stomp then twisted his body to sweep her off her feet, sending Huntress to the ground but before he could do anything more, her rocket boots activated and she flew backwards against the ground and got back into the air.

Phantom became intangible then melted into the ground to avoid a ball of energy that was aimed at him and a few seconds later, he flew out of the ground and delivered an uppercut to Huntress, which caused her to spiral backwards into the air.

Phantom immediately began to form an eco-blast but after a moment, he crushed it. Huntress regained her balance in the air only for Phantom to fly up and land three hard blows to her head before he twisted his body and landed a hard kick to her shoulder, which sent her soaring down to the ground with a crash.

Phantom floated down to the ground as Huntress leaned up but without warning, a rope with a green, glowing spearhead at the end flew from the Ghost Gauntlet and despite Phantom going intangible, the spearhead still stabbed Phantom through the left shoulder.

"Got you!" Huntress yelled as she immediately fired her rocket boots and flew into the air, which caused Phantom's body spasm from the electricity that flowed through his body as he was whipped forward off his feet. Huntress flew high into the air as Phantom was helplessly pulled after her, trying fruitlessly to remove the spearhead from his shoulder.

Huntress must have saw this because she began to fly around in a circle at a rapid speed, which caused Phantom to be flung around rapidly before Huntress pressed a button to release the grappling hook, which sent Phantom crashing through three trees before he slammed into a fourth one where he fell to the ground.

Phantom coughed up ectoplasma and stood up on shaky legs. He watched as Huntress floated down until she hovered over the ground and from her body language alone, he knew she was upset.

"What is this Phantom?" She asked him. "I've seen you put up tougher fights before! Why won't you fight me like you do the ghosts?!"

Phantom panted softly, his ghostly green eyes staring her down but he didn't respond. He didn't have to. She knew he was pulling his punches back.

Huntress stomped towards Phantom and delivered a hard right hook to his face, which sent Phantom to ground. "Fight me!" Huntress demanded as she picked up Phantom by his shirt and delivered a straight punch, which caused Phantom's body to crash through the tree behind and skid against the ground before he rolled to a stop.

Phantom slowly stood up, ectoplasma flowing from his broken nose and the gash on his left cheek. Huntress charged towards him and landed another blow to his face, which caused Phantom's head to whip to the right before she landed a blow to his stomach.

Phantom felt every electrified blow that impacted his body with Huntress yelling "Fight me!" with every hit. Finally, she landed a left hook to his face, which sent him to the ground.

Phantom remained on the ground and he felt Huntress grab him by his hair and lift him off the ground, leaving his feet to drag against the grass beneath him. "It's okay…" Phantom told her softly.

"W-Why…Why won't you fight?!" She screamed as released him from her grasp and landed a hard uppercut, which sent him soaring into the air before he fell to the ground a few feet away from Huntress.

Two pale blue rings appeared at his midsection and spread apart, revealing his normal form as he laid there, waiting for Huntress to finish it.

He could hear Huntress approach before he saw her stand above him. She fell to her knees, straddling him and it was then he noticed that her helmet was off, revealing her tear streaked face.

He heard two thumbs and saw that the Ghost Gauntlets were upright on the ground. Valerie wrapped her hands around his neck and it was then Phantom whispered "Come on Valerie…You're so close…Finish it…"

He could feel her tears fall against his cheek and started to feel her squeeze on his neck. It was a small pressure at first before it began to tighten but didn't fight it. He accepted what she was doing because in his heart, he owed her.

His vision began to blur at the edges as she began to openly sob before she finally leaned down and pressed her forehead against his, her grip slack. "J-Just fight me…" she sobbed out.

"Why?" Phantom whispered out.

"I c-can't fight you like this…I can't fight a defenseless opponent!" Valerie shouted as she moved away. "Why Danny…Why can't you just fight me? Why can't you just let me hate you?" she whimpered as she pulled him up his shirt so their faces were inches apart.

"You know why…" Danny whispered.

Valerie seemed to understand with those words as she whispered "After all this time?" she asked.

Danny offered a faint smile and Valerie leaned forward and claimed his lips in a hard and deep, almost desperate kiss, which Danny returned after a moment of shock. She quickly pulled away and panted softly. "I-I'm…" she began softly.

Without warning, the two heard a large crash a few feet away from them, which caused them both to look towards it and when the smoke faded, a wounded Ember McClain was seeing in it, unconscious.

"What the hell?" the both whispered.

It was then the pair heard a familiar laugh.

"Well, well, well…If it isn't my former underling and my most feared rival."

The two turned around to see a smirking Plasmius floating above them with a large smirk on his face.

Danny: Man…That was rough.

Ron-Pool: Okay questions…You're with Sam but you seem to care about Valarie too?

Danny: It's really complicated…

Ron-pool: Well, looks like the next chapter, we'll see what Vlad did that prompted Dani in saving you guys…
