Chapter "Only Chapter": Vending-Ality!

(Beach City, near Big Donut)

Amethyst was taking a stroll through the streets, looking around in search for something. It didn't took long before she managed to find what she was looking for: a vending machine. She walked to the machine, reaching for her pocket as she arrived.

She took out a dollar from her pocket and inserted it on the vending machine's slot, crossing her arms and whistling for a moment as she waited for the dollar to be accepted. Once that was done, she pressed a button with an image of a bag of chips, and the snack promptly fell down and hit the bottom compartment of the machine.

Amethyst reached for the compartment's door and pulled it, but the door didn't move at all. The Gem tried to do it again, but the door still failed to respond. She tried one last time, this time using all her strength, and all she managed to do was bring the machine down with her. She kicked it back into place and stared at it with a look of anger, putting her hands on her pockets as she walked away...and then went running back, taking a leap towards the machine and knocking it down.

As the Gem tried once again to open the door, Sadie and Lars left the Big Donut and unknowingly walked into the scene. However, at the angle they looked at it, they didn't exactly get the right idea of what was going on. "Is she trying to-" asked Sadie, pointing at the sight with a horrified look.

Before Sadie even finished, her eyes were covered by Lars's hand, who had an equally horrified look on his face. "Cover your eyes, act like you never saw that and let's get out of here before we regret ever seeing it." instructed Lars as he and Sadie walked away.

Once the two had left, Amethyst finally got tired and she got off the machine to catch her breath. She scratched her chin as she tried to think of yet another plan, getting a smirk once she got the plan.

(Back at the Beach House)

Pearl, Garnet and Steven were waiting for Amethyst's return, Steven being the only shown to be bothered by the girl's absence. He was at the couch, looking greatly bored, Pearl sitting by his side while Garnet watched nearby. "Why is Amethyst taking so long?" whined Steven, turning to Pearl.

"Well, there are two possibilities: either something happened that made retrieving the snack or even getting to the vending machine harder than usual, or Amethyst is being Amethyst." said Pearl, her tone changing to a harsher one as she looked away and crossed her arms. "Quite frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if something happened and she came here with the vending machine included."

Everybody heard the door being busted open and they turned to see Amethyst going inside, holding two bags of chips in her hands and having the vending machine stuck around her waist, with the snack parts having been pierced so she could wear it.

The sight caused Steven to drop his mouth, Garnet to look seemingly indifferent until her shades fell, which revealed her shocked eyes and Pearl to look briefly shocked before she regained her composure, crossing her arms and looking.

"Hi guys!" greeted Amethyst, oblivious to the team's shocked expressions. "Look, I brought the snacks!"

"And the vending machine as well!" exclaimed a surprised Steven, pointing at the machine as he continued. "Around your waist, to booth!"

The Gem looked down and saw the vending machine. All she said was a deadpan "oh", acting like she hadn't noticed it before. "Why am I not surprised this happened?" remarked Pearl, closing her eyes.
