"Welcome back, Mr. Allen."

Barry woke up to the sound of Dr. Wells' voice. He tried to sit up but Dr. Wells didn't let him.

"What happened?" Barry asked looking around. "How did I get here?"

Dr. Wells smiled at him. "We were hoping you would tell us."

Barry looked at Cisco and Caitlin who were standing over him as well, looking very worried.

"I uhm, ran," Barry told them, "and you'll never guessed where I ended up."

Before Cisco could begin listing possible places that Barry could have ended up in, Harrison Wells spoke, "could I have a word with Barry in private?"

Cisco and Caitlin nodded and walked out of the room.

"So where did you go?" Harrison asked him.

"I was in Atlantis."

"The mythical city?"

"You don't sound surprised," Barry told him.

"I can't say that I am," Harrison replied, "but like I've told you before, we don't even know the full extent of your powers so it's not outside the realm of reality that you could travel back in time to a city that we've only ever heard of in stories."

"Yeah," Barry nodded, "but this huge. I was there for a days, maybe even more than a week."

"I see." Harrison took off his glasses and stared at the ground.

"Do you know what this means?" Barry asked, excited. "It means I can go back in time and save my mother."

"Do you know how you were able to get to Atlantis?"

"No, I was just running."

"And I assume you did the same in order to return?" Harrison was staring at him, intently.

"No, I don't know how I got back," Barry said, "but I'm sure you can figure it out."

"Barry," Harrison began, "you know I would do anything and everything in my power to help you, so I must ask you not to tell anybody else about this."

"Why not? It's not as if I was in Central city."

"We can't be sure how your trip through will affect events here," Harrison replied, "so be very careful."

"Fine."

"So, Mr. Allen, now tell me everything and I mean everything."

Ariadne was staring at the ground stunned. She couldn't believe what had happened, one minute she was sure that Medea's blade would kill her or at the very least wound her badly and the next Barry was bleeding out infront of her and then he'd disappeared.

Right before her eyes.

Jason had seen Barry take the knife that had intended for Ariadne and he couldn't believe it. One minute the young man was bleeding infront of them, the next he had disappeared into thin air.

"We have to get out of here," Dion said, he was coming from the other side and he hadn't seen what had transpired. "The army is retreating and we should leave before they change their minds and return."

"Did you see that? Of course you saw it."

Jason, Hercules, Pythagoras and Ariadne were riding back to Atlantis.

"He just disappeared." Pythagoras repeated.

"Where did he come from?" Ariadne asked them. "Who was he really?"

Hercules shook his head. "I thought there was something strange about him."

"You say that about everybody," Pythagoras reminded him.

"And I'm right, aren't I?"

"He saved my life."

"And that makes one of the best people I've ever met," Jason concluded.

They rode in silence each of them not sure how to voice what they were really thinking. That somehow Barry Allen had been sent to save Ariadne's life and to help them.

"Barry, there you are, I was so worried."

Barry smiled at Iris. "I'm fine, as you can see."

"Where have you been? I've been looking for you for two hours; I came by your office and you weren't here." She was looking him up and down, assuring herself that he was really fine.

"I must have misplaced my phone."

"Okay." Iris let that pass.

"So, what's up?"

"Are you sure you're fine? You seem a bit weird, even for you."

"I'm fine, Iris."

She nodded. There were so many things she wanted to tell Barry but she didn't know where to begin. He had confessed his love for her and from that moment Iris hadn't been able to stop thinking about him. She was confused and the person she needed to help her get over her confusion was the person causing it. She didn't know what to do.

"Was there anything else you wanted?" Barry knew he was being rude but he needed to be away from Iris.

"Nope," she forced a smile, and made her way to the door.

Barry paced around the office. He had so many questions and although he and Dr. Wells had gone over everything that he happened, especially every detail of the fight he'd been involved in just before he'd returned, Barry was no closer to understanding how he'd been able to travel to Atlantis and back.

Absently he got his phone from his pocket and stared at it. There was a message for the Flash, can we meet? that had been sent an hour ago.

Barry stared at his phone in shock and made his way to S.T.A.R Labs. He found Cisco alone in the office.

"What time did I appear back here?"

Cisco checked the computer and told him, down to the last second. "It was weird, not you suddenly appearing in the room, of course. But what happened before you did, I was working and then there was an energy surge and the machines were all humming and you suddenly appeared in the room and everything became normal again."

Barry looked at his phone again and smiled to himself. Of course, somehow or other Iris had been able to bring him back home.
